This store is the biggest rip off ever! They have teenagers working there who plug your items into a computer and give you next to nothing for them. My daughter took in a bag full of clothes from Forever 21, Gap, A&E, Old Navy, etc. and 3 pairs of Converse that were in almost new condition. They gave her $13 for the sneakers and several sweaters. When she got home and told me I couldn't believe they could offer so little and charge so much for the stuff they have in the store. No one makes any money from that place and I will make it my mission to deter anyone that thinks about going there. They are making a killing off of people who need the money and accept there bull crap. I will never step foot into that store again, nor will my friends and family.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Why didn't you just have a yard sale?
You make more money than giving the clothes away.
Plato's closet is a rip-off. I heard they basically give you like nothing for your items. Most of these places that buy used clothing, CD- DVD, etc. The don't give you anything for your merchandise. I don't deal with them at all. The best thing you can do is sell your items on Ebay or at a yard sale or better yet, rent yourself a booth at a popular fleamarket and sell those items on the weekend. You won't get any satisfaction dealing with these places that want to buy used merchandise for pennies and then mark it up to damn near new store prices in their shop.
Thank you, just experienced the same thing. And I had some Brand new items, they tried to offer $20, one pair of the new shoes cost $85...They are Garbage and will rip you off...Oh and I saw some of the prices they have on stuff Ridiculous...
