Over the years we have relied on the Power Home Remodeling Group to replace 25 of our old, casement windows with newer, sealed windows and screens. We chose Power based on their lifetime warranty (“95% satisfaction” per their website) and their many positive reviews. The window quality also seemed excellent.
It became apparent within a few years that many of their windows were poorly sealed. Moisture appeared between the panes, allowing a greenish mold or algae to form, clouding the view out.
In May of 2022 – i.e. 15 months ago – a warranty inspector finally came, and approved the need to replace at least 12 of those windows. He did explain that due to supply-chain issues, it might be a year (that’s 12 months) till the warranty completions.
But that was the last we ever heard from them. Power Home Remodeling never took any initiative to update us. Now it’s fifteen months -- 15! – since that warranty inspection. That’s plenty long enough, and our patience has run out. So, I finally took the initiative to reach out to Power to get some action.
Power Home Remodeling Group makes it impossible to reach their top management and dealing with their customer service felt like little more than a run-around. I finally got a call from someone in their warranty department who wanted to give me an update. I don’t want an update! I want action. I want the warranty work to be done! Now!
Once we were happy to recommend Power Home Remodeling Group on the basis of their “front end” performance. But once they have your money, they don’t stand behind their product. BUYER BEWARE!
Desired outcome: I want a call from their warranty department and a speedy, guaranteed date for the warranty installations. My phone number is [protected]
UPDATE 11/9/2023
It’s a pleasure, once again, to breakfast at our kitchen table overlooking our garden and the birds at our feeders gazing through the crystal clear replacement windows recently installed by Power Home Remodeling group’s warranty service department!
And I’m happy to report that the same could be said for all twelve windows that had to be replaced under warranty.
It’s true that In August, after a 15 month wait for service, I had to complain to their CEO level executives to get action. But I want to acknowledge that I got a very prompt and apologetic reply from their VP for Customer Support, Beth Mowery. Explaining, but not excusing, the long delay for warranty action, she took charge of expediting and personally oversaw the replacement installation.
Shakespeare wrote, “All’s Well That Ends Well.” Well … I may not be happy that it took 15 months, but “all’s well that ends well.” So my thanks to Beth Mowery and the installation technicians of Power Home Remodeling.
I am still waiting over a year for a backwards screen I have complained about 4 times. SCAM COMPANY EXPENSIVE AND THEY DO NOT LIVE UP TO WHAT THEY SELL.
