Windows are loose and wiggle back and forth
My windows were installed 10/17/2024 and must have been measured wrong because the wiggle back and forth to the point of being crooked — the installers told us they might have a problem with the measurements had to make a phone call but then put them in — told us not to open them for 24 to 48 hours we waited 72 hours then found the problem — we reported it...

All I am trying to obtain is a document with the model numbers of the windows I purchased so that I can receive a rebate from my power company. They did not accept the detailed information provided in my contract, saying they need an official document (invoice?) with model numbers included, so they can prove I purchased windows that are energy-star...

I have called, texted and now am emailing to get an itemized invoice for our 22 windows and 2 sliders installed February 28 - March 1, 2024. The only paperwork I have to date is the glossy Andersen window pamphlet and our Greensky Financial contract with a total dollar figure of $69,103.00. I want an itemized by window size descriptive invoice with price...

Windows in my house.
We had new windows installed July of 2022. My energy bills went up by at least $100.00/month. I waited for the Spring of the 2023 to complain. I crossed my Tee's and dotted all the i's before I complained just for a tech to come out and blame it on the difference in weather from the time before and the time after we got the new windows. Now this winter all the windows are moldy inside the house on the wood trim. I would never ever of spent this much money to have windows, exterior doors replaced if I knew I would have zero satisfaction on Renewal by Andersen windows and doors. Poor products... and service...
Claimed loss: $36,000.00
Desired outcome: Come get the windows back out of my house and i'll go something else for windows. I'd like a refund for them so i can do something else.

Window/door replacement
I had a representative provide consult and contract. He did not provide all the information needed so that I was aware of how things would be processed. Less than one week later I got notice from Greensky financing that half the project cost was forwarded to Anderson. I was given the option to reject this payment and I did. I contacted Sales Rep and he wa...

Received call last Thursday that install could not occur until January 16, 2024. No explanation why. No call-back from management which we requested! We need this door installed so we can sell. I want installation as promised!

Patio doors
I purchased these doors on 11/25/20 for $5,882.00. As of today (10/10/23), I have had 8 service calls for these doors, with 5 of those service calls being in the last 3 weeks. I was "assured" today by Terry (the installation manager) that the problem should now be fixed but, of course, as you can imagine I've heard that before. During the 2nd or 3rd service...

We ordered replacement glass for our full view storm door and was charged $144.30. We realized after placing the order that the color needed to be changed and called back immediately to make that change. Instead of cancelling the incorrect order the order was duplicated and our bank account was charged again for the same amount. When I questioned this I was told it would be credited in 24-48 hours. It took 4 days for the charge to be removed. When we received our delivery our account was charged again! When I called they said I’d have to send proof that it had happened. I was promised a supervisor would call me back, which was 3 days ago. Be careful when dealing with them… apparently they’re desperate to use your money for as long as possible… I have filed a dispute with my bank. Too much hassle for a company that supposedly has a great reputation.
Karen
Desired outcome: My money that was the duplicate charge
Window Install
Renewal by Andersen is a huge marketing scam. The General Manager of their Los Angeles branch, Al Alfieri, owes me in excess of $5000.00 for shimming a friends drywall whom they sold windows to that didn’t properly fit her old house. They took advantage of her by selling her a product they never should have, and then Mr. Alfieri told me that he (meaning Renewal by Andersen) would pay me to rectify the problem. He never paid me - he’s a liar and a crook!
Desired outcome: Full payment for work done per our agreement
Windows and patio doors
On Aug. 3rd ,2023,2 patio doors were delivered in the wrong color, and 1 window screen was torn.
I wrote to customer care on Aug. 4th,2023,explaining the error. The installer called in the error, and my sales rep was informed of the issue.
It is now Sept. 25,2023, and no response from customer care giving me a timeline for my reorder.
I have had no heat in my living room,as the register was not reattached.
I have not had the frames stained and sealed, as the sills and side frames have to be taken off to reinstall the correct parts.
Renewal by Andersen advertises they are the best. I have total confidence in their statements.
Desired outcome: I would like to know when my replacement parts will be installed.I would like compensation for this hassle. I have not received any apology from the installation manager. Responses to my emails would be greatly appreciated.
Time
Don’t fall into trap of their selling pitch. If you really need to replace your windows please get it done by other players in the locality. They keep saying their stuff is great and please don’t fall for it. I have been waiting to get my installation date for 3 months. Still they keep saying we are processing the order and will get back when we have a ETA. Let’s encourage the local players by not going to Andersen.
Balcony door panel
Renewal Anderson is a reputable company yet they failed to satisfy a customer.
I am having an issue with a balcony door, due to the balcony door panel being exposed to a heat and it expanded.
A partial of a top panel was cut.
Rather than to replace the whole panel, Renewal Anderson will only install where the panel was cut. Basically, they are not fixing the problem.
How is that going to resolve the issue when the whole panel has to be replaced? My door is slanted, can't lock, and the breezy is coming through everywhere.
Words can't depict how disappointed I am with Renewal Anderson.
Desired outcome: To replace the whole panel in order for the balcony door to work correctly.
Horrible experience with Renewal by Andersen of Florida
Horrible experience with Renewal by Andersen of Florida. Have a major issue with installation of new pool slider that was incorrectly located and installed and also still have a torn screen that they installed. The other deficient items were fixed and the service team said that the back pool slider had been incorrectly located and installed. My wife and I have called multiple times during the past three months to resolve these last two major issues, speaking to many different people saying we are so sorry and our service dept. is way behind then we are promised it will be escalated and someone will call back within a few days but they never do. The actual product is great, but installation and customer service are totally unsatisfactory. This service has been a disaster with no real communication on making it right. We spent over 70K on this project and we are not HAPPY!

Desired outcome: Install a new pool slider correctly and replace the torn screen on another new window that they have known about for 3 months now. The project cost us 70k total and we want 5k refunded for the horrible installation and customer service.
Window screens
I paid over $30,000 to have my windows replaced on my home in 2020. Now, only 3 years later, 2 of the screens are defective. They have corrosion at the bottom of the screen and they need to be replaced. Service technician came to house, took pictures. To my surprise, and discontentment
I am being told I have to pay $530 for 2 screens to be replaced. Not windows, SCREENS. This is unacceptable. A hidden charge the salesman who made it seem like Renewal by Andersen was such a reputable company, did not inform me about when he sold me the windows. This is an astronomical cost , after paying an astronomical installation fee. I thought I was paying for the best windows, and the best service. I was wrong.
Desired outcome: No charge for the replacement of defective screens
Windows
I hired them during the winter to put in some windows and doors that we needed for a property that we have purchased they promised that the job would be done in April I didn't hear from the company and April May or June finally at the end of June I received a call from them saying that my project has finally had its parts in and I said this job was supposed to be done in April we're leaving for South Carolina it's now the end of June we cancel their contract with them and they still charge our credit card they refuse to answer any calls we filed the complaint with the better Business bureau they're not answering that either and nobody will call me back. Very very poor customer service
Desired outcome: I want my credit card refunded and I want these people to never contact me again
Window Screen
Our window screen blew off of our window and hit the ground and bent. We called and were told that the cost to replace would be 150-200 dollars. I have not gone to the social media before I thought I just wanted things fixed. But, we were told that things like that would be replaced for free. We have had the most HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE with Renewal by Andersen that I feel like I need to world to know to save someone else the trouble. My windows are still not right after people have been here several times after the installers completely screwed up the installation. Thanks for nothing ever Renewal by Andersen. We were lied to from the very beginning, the salesman until the end. This company does not stand by their products like they say they do. They are a bunch of liars.
Desired outcome: Replace my screen, it's the least you could do!!!
Incorrect windows, size and not what was ordered and faulty installation.
We placed our order for windows in November to match the existing divided light paned windows in our house. The delivered product grill size was not what we ordered. The size of the windows was also incorrect. The project manager was required to come onsite and measure twice due to his not understanding the requirements of the job. We stated the entirety of the existing windows and framing would be removed and only a rough opening would remain. The new windows would fit tightly into the rough opening. When the windows arrived, they were many inches too small to fit the rough openings. The installers informed us that the measurements used to build the windows were the first ones taken and not the second. In addition, the prebuilt roofs were not measured correctly to fit the existing roof line of our house. We escalated and the regional rep and he came onsite and confirmed that everything was built incorrectly. That nothing in the order was correct and all of the windows would need to be rebuilt. There was a severe lack of communication during the project in all aspects. Based on your plan we anticipated an efficient, seamless three-day installation. In preparation for your installation, we have had all of the siding removed from the front of the house and roofing removed from the three bay windows. We have entered into contracts with three other contractors to perform stonework, reroofing and finishing work immediately after your installation and are now incurring additional cost due to your failure to honor your contract! Due to your poor performance and execution of the contract we require the contract to be cancelled at your expense and no cost to us.
Desired outcome: We require the contract to be cancelled at no cost to us!
Glider doors
I requested a quote in 07/2021 for French doors. The opening we were working with is small, and the salesman said a glider would be cheaper. I questioned this because the existing opening is small, but he said it would be perfect. I signed a line on an iPad seeming this was the contract. I signed once. Gave a 2k cash down-payment. 3 months later, 2 men came to measure my door and said the door would actually be smaller. I was told I would get new paper work with the new dimensions of the door. Afyer a month, i never received the new dimensions. I called, I emailed, I went to the actual business and was always put off. The install was supposed to be that November, it never happened. I looked at my contract only to see it wasn't in my name. My boyfriends name was also in the paper work but he never signed and had nothing to do w this transaction. 4 months later and multiple emails, I finally got the dimensions, but AFTER the company had manufactured the door already, without my permission given the new dimensions. Almost 2 years later, I am still fighting with this company for my 2k back. I am going to end up taking this to small claims court. This company is deceitful, dishonest, and unprofessional. I would never reccomend this compnay.
Desired outcome: I would like my $2,000.00 given back.
