As a regular customer of Red Rooster, I have had mixed experiences with their food and service. While the iconic Red Rooster taste is undeniably satisfying, there have been instances of inconsistency in quality and customer service. Very poor service Hastings VIC
I ordered some food through Ubereats. Once again the store gave us cheesy nuggets instead of plain which my son won’t eat. They told the driver to tell us when he arrived they were out of plain instead of telling me so I could order something else. My tub of potato and gravy was also barely half full and mostly gravy. Usually I let things slide but I’m over it. I tried to call the store immediately, later that evening and the next day but no one ever answered the phone. I did an online request for contact for a refund but no one got back to me. So I did another. Nothing. I went into the store and spoke to the shift supervisor. He took down all the details including the order number. He told me he would tell the store manager and I could come in today to swipe my card for a refund. So I went in today. The store manager had no info on it so I had to go through it all again. He appeared sympathetic and understood I wanted a refund. I showed him the order and the receipt with item prices. By now the order in question was ten days ago. He led me to a table and gave me a free juice and disappeared into his office. Ten minutes later a staff member presented me with a bag of food. I obviously questioned this and asked about the refund. I didn’t ask for or want replacement food. The food had been for my son not me anyway and we didn’t need it now. He got the store manager out of his office. I asked him what was going on. He said I’d have to contact ubereats for a refund. I said why on earth did you not say that. Or the other guy last week. Why mislead me and then hide in your office with no intention of giving me a refund despite saying you would? He could not give me any answer that made sense and then accused me of being rude! Meanwhile I had not used any bad language or raised my voice. I was mystified at the deliberate miscommunication and poor service. I still want a refund. But I’m not going through Uber eats. It was not their fault. The driver was very concerned when it happened and didn’t leave without asking if it was ok to do so. This is on Red Rooster. Unbelievable! I’ve never been gaslighted so blatantly by a store manager anywhere before. He shouldn’t be in that position. Not going back.
Recommendation: If you order plain nuggets expect cheesy ones as they seem to think they’re interchangeable at Hastings. Better to avoid the store all together.
Drugs smoked in workplace car park/abusive language and fear for my children as he was punching [censored] going off about crack
Your employee liam was on phone to someone yelling abuse some trash slut and other words whilst out back near the bin sounded like he was punching the tin wall into it losing his mind... Some girl came out back jade her name was as my son in back said he knew her from school days... She told him to finish his joint which u could smell he was smoking marijuana oit the back (as I know smell from son in back he agreed as he is on medical weed that it was weed as it was a very strong strong smell whilst talking very loudly about crack with some girl named crystal dark maori looking girl... Liam had a mullet wears black jeans his jocks hang out of and has a very good vocabulary for words... I don't think u should be employing someone smoking drugs and trying to organise crack with another staff member. Drugs should not be in the workplace and neither should this liam person

Been to this store four times in the last year
1. Placed order and didn't receive my meal. Staff had forgotten to prepare it. I had to ask for a refund and go back to work as my entire lunch break was spent sitting in the restaurant waiting for food.
2. Took thirty minutes to prepare a rooster roll and chips.
3. November 2023. I got turned away at the store as they had run out of chicken.
4. Today 27/2/24. Waited half an hour for classic roast and when I opened it at work it did not contain peas.
Desired outcome: never go here again
Picklebird meal deal
We purchased the Picklebird meal deal at the Noosa Civic store (Sunshine Coast, QLD, Australia) at around 12noon today 13/02/24 and was disappointed to find that there were 2 small pieces of the chicken tenders in the burger, but the picture clearly showed a nice size piece of meat. we paid $16.99 and this is absolutely a rip off.

I drove through the drive through at the nerang qld store, I purchased two meals and when I arrived at home, which is only 5 minutes away, both of the meals were stone cold, I rang the store to offer some advice, I have worked in retail management for forty years, I wasn’t rude all I said was next time it would pay you to check the meals before you pass them on, it is a very hot day here today, there was no one in either the restaurant or drive through, he couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough, i’m sorry red rooster but you have lost a very good and loyal customer. I confirmed that they where all breast only to find at home it was two legs, two thighs and two breasts.
The drive through girl asked if I wanted the extra nuggets for $5. I said yes and also asked if the nuggets where in the bag at payment. Again no nuggets

Visited the drive through in Palmerston, NT. While waiting I notice the two young people serving at the window laughing and carrying on. I'm surprised they even noticed customers! The guy kept running his fingers through his hair and the young girl kept scratching her pimples. Absolutely disgraceful! I then watched him hand the car in front of me some cutlery and he was holding the eating end of the spoon with those hands covered in all sorts of oils, etc. She's handling bags, etc. No idea at all. Anyway got my food and my chips was half empty. I ended up turning the car back and going into the store and giving the manager a serve. Absolutely disgusting store and am never going back into any RR store ever again.
Desired outcome: Get some hygiene practices in place and start cleaning your act up!

My daughter and i went to Red Rooster Forrestfield dated 9/08/2023 at around 6:40ish pm and ordered 6pcs fried chicken, 10 nuggets, medium rippa roll. We don’t normally file a complaint whenever we visit the store coz we’re always happy and satisfied with the service and the quality of the food coz it’s always hot and fresh. But on this particular date and time not only the chicken’s not hot and fresh but 3pcs of the chicken that they gave us was sooo small and it’s like that it’s was a leftovers. We only notice it’s when we came back home and open the bag. For the every first time we’ve been soo disappointed and very very unhappy as we’re a regular customer.
Btw.. I’m not being racist but the crew on that time and date are Indians and the girls were Asian.

2 weeks ago we purchased 4 meals from your Munno Para store in SA. The order was repeated 3 times to the assistant. On driving home over half an hour and opening up our order, all 4 meals were incorrect. I emailed the store and received a reply from a person calling himself Darren W. He apologised and offered us a $10.00 credit. I told him 4 meals that were completely incorrect that cost around $40.00 a credit of $10.00 wasn’t acceptable compensation. I love Red rooster but today July 29,4pm Me and my family decided to grab lunch from this place (Maple) and without looking at their menu option, I ordered family pack. We are about to eat but they told us we can’t eat the food I ordered cos it’s exclusively for take out. That time I was shaking due to the fact that my sugar getting low. I asked if we can just eat inside and they saidNO. I was shaking so badly that I feel like I am going to collapse.
