Turbox tax holding refunds!!!
Scam! They are all liars, they will hold your money and lie on the irs! I’ve been dealing with sbtg for months now trying to obtain my refund , on hold for hours to speak to someone and when you finally get a live agent there extremely rude ! They still you anything to get you off the phone! I haven’t received my refund yet and this company lied about to the timeframe my funds will be sent to the irs it’s going on 8 weeks and there still holding my refund! Don’t use turbo tax or anything affiliated with sbtg ! They should be shut down!
Tax returns
I filed my taxes in February 2022. Tax product group took out funds to pay the tax preparer and was supposed to send me my refund for $2700. I still have not received it. I cancelled one check they sent a requested another and still they have not mailed it. It’s been 7 months of waiting. If they send it back to irs who knows when I will get my money. They just don’t care.
Desired outcome: I would like my tax returns mailed.
Have not received tax refund
My bank closed my savings account due to low funds, and did not inform me.
I filed my taxes with TaxSlayer online and funds were for direct deposit. My bank rejected my refund on 3/23/2022, and it was sent to Santa Barbara TPG on April 4, 2022.
SBTPG has been holding my refund in excess of $6600 since that time. I need to have my money refunded to me. 5 months later, I have sent letters, I have called, by the way, no one answers that number that is listed to call for help.
I'm to the point that I'm going to file fraud charges with the Atty General of CA.
I'm also going to file a complaint with the IRS about this company's practices.
Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response, and my money refunded to me.
Tax refund check
I have been waiting on my check since August, I had a rejected return and they supposedly had sent out a check on 8/12 it’s now 09/15 and still no check. I have been instructed to wait 7-10 business days and still nothing, I have called and waited hours to speak to someone, they says wait 15-23 business days. Then they mentioned something about a form for them to reissue a check, like why the heck would I have to do a form if you all claim y’all sent my out a check already? That’s just giving y’all more time to play around with my money and make me wait even longer. What’s really going on. Checks/ mail don’t take that long. Why are these people considered a legal business? Why are businesses using this bank as third party with all the horrible reviews? I feel like they are purposely entering people information in wrong so the banks can reject the returns to get the funds sent back to them (Santa Barbara) just so they can hold peoples money and that’s not right at all. It’s ridiculous at how many people are complaining about the same thing. I need my money ASAP. These people are fraudulent and needs to be shut down. They even train their workers to lie for them and it’s sickening. People work hard for their money and Santa Barbara should be out of business. Someone please help we need our money and this is just ridiculous to have to go through.

I am missing $238.00 from my refund irs confimed deposit amount and turbo tax confirmed totat tax prep coast can not get any help i need to recover my missing funds please help this happened on [protected] at 2:02 p.m. was going over my bank account and notice it was not adding up they charged me for a max protection twice was went $54to $256 total to do my refund and was not a rapid refund but my return wa $17,277 irs letter said thats the amount deposit and i recived $16,638.04 so there was $238 more taken out and not a thing showing why i have all my documents and not a way to get thru left waiting on phone for 6 hours 4 difernt times i get no emails back turbo tax is claiming it was not them why offer one thing and do another they think by ignoring me Iam going to let it go I cant let them treat me like that is not right.

My refund was issued to this "bank" on February 2nd. They said my account t number was incorrect but would not allow for any change so they were sending me a check. They "sent" me a check in March that I never received. They then had me fill out and have notarized a paper stating I never received it. I did this 3 different times. Now I have moved and they will not change the address. I was told in June it was being sent back to the IRS. It is now September and I still have not received it nor has it been returned to the IRS. I NEED HELP.

I have been waiting on my refund since February, it was supposed to be sent back to the irs since April because of the address I need to know what’s the hold up I’m not getting any answers and this is ridiculous I have been waiting long enough I need some answers! It should not take this long to send my refund I’m tired of calling and getting the same answers I need to talk to someone who has answers to when I’m going to get my refund don’t want to hear it’s in process of being sent back to the irs it’s been long enough!

So I filed my taxes with turbo tax and when you choose to have fees taken out of your refund to pay for fees they use a third company called sbtpg so the irs send funds to them then they send it to tax payer well my account rejected my refund that the IRS sent on February 24 2022 it’s now august 24 2022 still haven’t got any check from them they have claimed to mailed jt 3 times there lying I have informed delivery no check has ever came to me this is ridicolous I need to get a lawyer asap

IRS Tax Refund Still Not Received
My spouse and I filed jointly with Tax Slayer and was told that my refund would be issued through SBTPG. The refund was issued on may the 4th and they received it but claimed that the bank rejected the deposit due to the fact that I forgot one digit in the account number. But, instead of contacting me or my spouse, I had to contact them. I was told four times that the paper check was issued, each time finding out that it wasn't. The last time I tried and spoke to someone was about two months ago and was told the only thing they could do was to return the check to the IRS. But, so far , the IRS has t received the returned refund. My spouse and I ended up getting evicted while waiting because after saying it would be returned to the IRS(because they couldn't add a digit to my account and even though my return included a bank statement with said account number on it) they stopped answering the phone. It's almost September and I really need this resolved . What do I do?

Am trying to get my refund from sbtpg bank, IRS send the money july 15th but i supposed to get on July 20, when I call them, they told me that i have to send my ID, I did August 4, when i call them to confirm if everything its ok, they said yes, just I need to wait like a week to see my funds in my bank account, now they say sorry but is gonna take like months! For all of the people that this entity has ripped off, file a law suit. Create a facebook page dedicated to people that have been screwed over by Santa Barbara Tax Products Group find a good Attorney and sue these $%^#$%$
I don't think it would be hard to find an attorney that would take this as a case. It appears to me all this entity does is give taxpayers the run around and no resolution.
Still waiting for my taxes
They sent to my bank June 23 my bank rejected because I didn’t have my permanent card activated yet got sent back then they said they sent a cashiers check on June 22 it is July 27 and I still have not received my check all my bills are getting shut off this is very frustrating I just wanna know where my check is I have called the number one day I no answer the next day I waited for over two hours and I’m still on hold makes three hours today they will not answer the phone. Not answering the phone and giving people their money that they wait all year for I don’t see how this company is still in business I just want to know where my check is and why I have not received it it should not take over a month to receive a check by mail

I filed my tax refund thought turbotax and had to pay a fee IRS approved my refund and sent it to Santa Barbara Bank (Sbtpg) on 07/06/2022 they did attempt to deposit my refund into my bank on 07/07/2022 but my bank rejected it and sent it back because it was over the daily deposit limit. I called Sbtpg the same day about it and they first said they have to wait for the bank to send the money back so I gave it like 1-3 days and I called again and they said the same thing so I called the next day and they told me they received the money and they are going to print it out as a check and send to me via mail and told me it take about 48hrs so I call back in 2 days to get a status and they said I was pose to call back in 72 hours so I call the next day and they said they’re still waiting for it to get turned into a check and ever since I been calling everyday to check and I been gettin different answer 1 person said my bank never sent it back another person said their system is down and everyone else I talked to said they’re waiting for it to get turned into a check now today which is 07/18/2022 I’m on hold for over a hour and everytime I finally get to talk to somebody they literally hang the phone up on me I called 3 times today and everytime I’m on hold for over a hour and everytime I speak to someone and I give them my information to look into my account they hang up on me every single time. They’re a bank how hard is it just to print out a check and send it if they have my money it’s like their just holding it at this point.

This year I filed my taxes through TurboTax just like I have every other year since beginning of TurboTax. Although this year a little different because my wife and I were going through divorce. When I filed my taxes I was unaware that my wife would be closing or checking account. The tax product group then issued a check which I never received. So I started calling in the middle of May to resolve the matter and get my refund. To get a hold of a live agent you must wait on the phone for approximately 2 hours. I have called 12 times since May talking to 12 people each of them telling me in 24 to 48 hours they will email me a form that needs to be filled out first for they can reissue a check. 12 times I called which roughly 40 hours of my personal time to be told I've received a form but never actually receive a form.
This is not a way to provide customer service. I've been lied to 12 different times. I am missing money that I really needed and tax product group is holding. Even though I've been falling through TurboTax for so long I'm debating ever using them again due to this mishap. I understand that I was one responsible for not providing correct checking account but as soon as I found out it was closed I tried to resolve the matter. I've been given incorrect info since March. If anybody else has been treated this way I don't even know how the Tax Product Group could be in business.
Desired outcome: My desired outcome would be received by refund which is why I used TurboTax in the beginning only I plannec on a little bit quicker

Santa Barbara Bank – SBTPG
In Houston, TX, I am a tax prepared and use Santa Barbara Bank as my 3rd party products bank working with Income Tax Banking products. I went on my site and seeing why I'm not getting paid...Sbtpg - Santa Barbara Bank, I process bank products and print out checks for clients. Now today I find out that Sbtpg is taking my fee collection money because they said I printed too, $8,021.05 checks on one of my clients and they are making me pay out of my fees. I VOID ON CHECK, a BANK Will NEVER IN 2 DAYS CASH ANY CHECKS, THEY WILL FLAG IT. I call SBTPG, and the Guys CS rep said that there is no fraud department, I ask can talk to a supervisor he stated theirs no supervisor available either. My client and I will keep calling until this matter is resolved. I have been with this bank for 13 years that's over 10 years. And NEVER HAD NO PROBLEMS, But this year 2022 has been the worst for me with Sbtpg with their systems changing in November 2021. I didn't know once Jan 2022 came, I was going to catch hell with SBTPG 2022 system. I will never use them again as bank products for my income taxes for my clients NEVER.I have gotten RIP off the bank system this is the 2x this 2022 tax season $9500 now $8,021.05.
Desired outcome: Find out who cashed an $8,021.05 check twice and pay me the money they took out of my fees collections.
Federal Tax Refund and the Bogus Cashier Check
I finally received my Federal Tax Refund about around June 15, 2022, it came in the form of a cashier's check. Nobody, not even my own bank would cash this ridiculous looking check. I got in touch with bank, the IRS, Taxslayer, and even the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group. I was suppose to receive my refunds by direct deposit. But, this company is claiming that they rejected the money! That's not true at all. So I called the Santa Barbara Tax Products Group which took me over a week to get in touch with someone the agent was so unprofessional I was embarrassed for the company. However, she sent me the forms to fill out and told me to write void in the check and take a picture of it plus send it back to them. Which, I have done all of that. Now here it is July 15, 2022, and I have not received a deposit into my account. This is just not right that refund is my money that I worked hard for is their anyone who can help me get my refund back from this company? I was depending on the direct deposit like I have always received in the same account for the last 10 years.
Desired outcome: Right now I am just seeking my federal tax refund to be deposited into my account. However, if this company cannot manage to do that I will be seeking further compensation. For all that I have lost due to their lack of intelligence.

I filed my taxes with TurboTax in January of 2001. TurboTax sent my money to a company called Santa Barbara Tax Group a GreenDot company. I have been fighting with the Santa Barbara Tax Group since February to get my money. I have called Almost daily for 5 months and only got through three times after hours of being on hold. I have emailed almost daily with no response except the automated confirmation of the email. I have filed requests on their website almost daily with no response. In March I had a notarized paper sent into the email address that I have been using for all my communications with them requesting a stop payment of my check and to refund my money to the IRS. Two weeks later I received an email saying that Santa Barbara Tax Group would refund my money within 10 days. That obviously never happens and now when I call they say they have no recollection in their system of that email or my notarized request. I have the reference number and they say it does not exist. I finally got ahold of somebody on July 8th and submitted another request to have my funds refunded to the IRS and they told me this process would take two months. I have filed formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau against TurboTax, Santa Barbara Tax Group and green d o t. Every time I ask to speak to a supervisor they say they will put in the request for somebody to call me back. I have never received a single call back in 5 months.

I have informed delivery on but my addresses and my mail forwarded to my mail address. I also have informed delivery with the post office and have spoken to the post master. My check was never mailed. Now they are telling me that i need to have it sent back to the irs and it will take 10 to 12 weeks to get it. I want my tax refund. This is crazy. Why can't it be overnighter with a tracking number.?

I filed my 2021 income taxes electronically on march 17, 2022. After a few weeks my tax preparer and I discovered that she had the wrong banking information and wrong address. I have been in contact with SBTPG since March and been told to call back. After calling back and being on hold for over and hour I kept getting the same representative which he never has any answers. I asked to speak with a supervisor and of course they can't connect you to someone who may have answers. What company operates without a Supervisor? So today I was told that they have my check, but they don't have the function capabilities to send it back to the IRS. What functions were you using last year and the year before? This is utterly ridiculous and as a taxpayer in this country I can't get what's owed to me. I will be contacting the Attorney General, Consumer Affairs and the BBB.

I have been waiting to receive my refund for over 4 months now after they received there money that was owed. Have been told twice now that a check has been mailed and still haven’t received it. This place is a scam and their customer service reps are not helping at all. I’ve filed an identity bond as well with my bank in hopes to receive another check and still nothing. Now they are telling me they can’t do anything further and it will be sent back to the Irs. I don’t know what else to do at This point

Still waiting since June 2020 for substantial refund. Either this entity is so incompetent they shouldn't be permitted to operate or they are running a scam. Judging from the number of complaints, I am led to conclude the latter. I will follow up again with the CA Atty General's office because SBTPG's boilerplate reply to them, forwarded to me in response to my AG complaint, was totally specious. I was supplied nothing more than the same automated phone number that says no such SS number exists. The call won't go beyond that, so there is zero way of making contact. GDB/SBTPG have mastered the art of avoidance and obfuscation. I will never file on line again. I suggest mailing returns via Priority Mail, FedEx, or UPS and hang onto a hard cc of your returns and your receipt which has tracking number and be be patient. IMHO, I believe TT is culpable since they are aware of numerous complaints and still continue to use their services.
