Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] turbotax leander

The IRS sent my refund to sbtpg on 4-5-16. I spoke with several people there who told me my money was sent to a closet account. They assured me the money was deposited and the bank accepted it on 4-5-16 at 7.22 am. They when so for as to give me a tracking number and sent me and email with all the information on my account. The refund was rejected by my back and sent back to them on 4-19-16. They did not call to let me know. I received a letter from turbo tax saying I owned them money for witch I called them. When I called them again to find out why turbo tax had not been pay, there answer was I must send proof of who I am. Sent proof only to be told it would take 7 business days for them to get it. I have reported them to the IRS and to the better business bureau, I used turbo tax for 6 years an never had a problem but I will no use them again.

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] my irs refund

Hello Tax Products Group:

I received an e-mail from Turbo-Tax on the 24th of February 2016 that said my refund would be deposited into my account in two days. I also checked with the IRS to verify that my refund was sent via their website, "Where's My Refund." My refund was sent to Tax Products Group on the 23rd of February. I should not have to chase after money that is mine by calling or e-mailing an entity that asks for my social security number over the phone. If my deposit is not in my bank account in accordance with the online filing agreement that is a part of the TURBO-TAX software program, I will contact my lawyer.

I filled there TurboTax my bank rejected my refund this was Feb 29 2019 they said they would mail my refund to me by Mar 11 still haven't received it I called back had them stop payment and send it back to the IRS they told me it would take 2-3 weeks its been longer then that I called they told me they send refunds back to the IRS once a month got an email to day and it said still processing and it take 3-4 week I'm tired of waiting they just tell you lies and give a run around I worked hard for my refund and would like to receive it or ill just let my brother in law who is a. Lawyer

Did SBT ever return you tax refund to you. I am having an issue with them now ss number to check my direct deposit to go to MetaBank and then to Netspend and my refund is setting in account that I never heard of. I bank with a Bank of America this is where my money should have went.

TPG also known as Sbbt and SBTPG, is not what it use to be. Before you think about quickly filing your taxes online with Turbo Tax or any other online tax service know that if you select direct deposit, it will be processed by The Tax Product Group and you will be charged a FEE for the service. Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] overcharged

SBTPG Charged me a $20 "returned" fee because they claim my bank rejected their direct deposit.
The bank knows nothing about this, the details on turbo tax are correct.
The people I spoke with are rude and obnoxious.
I want them to refund the $20 they charged me.
I've filed a BBB complaint too, I'll file complaints with as many people as I can so that people are warned about this outfit.

The IRS released/sent my direct deposit out Feb 23, I have been waiting to receive it, the IRS, Turbo Tax and NetSpend all said there was no known problem with my return, it is now March 6, TODAY Turbo Tax links me to TPG. TPG states that they have a hold on my return due to suspicious activity on my account. They claim the sent me an email notifying me of the hold, I DID NOT RECIEVE AN EMAIL from them. I received no notice about this from Turbo Tax or NetSpend. This hold on MY return and MY MONEY has caused complete chaos in my life, it has cost me TIME, MONEY and MY PERSONAL REPUTATION. WHY was I not CONTACTED IN PERSON so that they knew for fact that I knew about this hold? IS THIS EVEN LEGAL? Has anyone sued these fools yet? THEY SHOULD BE SUED OUT OF BUSINESS!

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] told several different lies and threatened. unprofessional behavior

I have never been lied to and threatened so badly from a company. I was misinformed and given wrong information and when I asked for help I was still given wrong information. The bank rejected my direct deposit so they sent me a paper check in the mail. I had moved so the check was sent to the wrong address.I called on several occasions to get this matter corrected.I had to send in the indemnity bond twice I was told one thing when it was really something else first I was told I could change the address only to be told later that I could not I even spoke with the lead Chris who assured me that everything would be took care of.I wanted someone to review my case and to see what I had been lied to and misled several times.when the chick was finally found I called in immediately to tell him I was told that the check I received was still good and could be cashed so I deposit into my account only to find out that it was a stop payment put on check.when I call back and spoke with Craig he became smart at the mouth told me that Chris refused to talk to me and once again I was threatened that they were going to send the check back to the IRS this was about the fourth threat. I was informed did they were going to send the check back there was nothing else they want to do about it nothing else they were going to do about it and to have a nice day after you have took my phone and had very very very poor service I am very upset no one wanted to give me the number to someone in charge besides the lead Chris who could not help I would not recommended service again I will tell my family and friends and we will not use TurboTax again if they're going to use this company it should not take all of this just to get something that I have worked hard for. I really feel as if they were very inconsiderate, very uninformed, some was not properly train. the last thing they told me to do since I had a complaint with the come to the complaint board and leave a complaint there and they were going to send my money back after all of this going over a month and this is how you treat your customer.

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] holding my refund

I filed my taxes threw turbo tax I had one number missing from account so the sbtpg sent me a check I moved from address filed being I nolonger stayed there instead of post office forwarding the check the sent it back to sbtpg on the 23 of February they took out fees to return money back to irs but have not sent money to irs yet its the 4th of may this company is a thief and scam how u hold or keep money not yours should be investigated for fraud and not first person it been done to irs said when money is returned it is to be given to them immediately not hold for days n weeks to draw more money for them note turvo tax was sued for stealing money on taxes

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] skills

Today is 6 days that I have to deal with sbtpg, they nchoose not to practice their mission statement they care nothing about a consumer
will not respond to emails calls and oprators hang up even threatened to send my tax return back to irs. plllleeeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeee help me I do not fell good my chest starts to hurt and can not breath every time I have had to call them I can not dial again

Filed my taxes with turbo tax on the 9th of january so that when they accept it on the 15th/16th it would be good to go. IRS accepted an and since I wanted them to take out fees from my refund, it had to go through santa barbara group. Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] tax refund - omitting a number in my checking account

Like other complaints I read about, one number in my checking account was omitted which caused my bank to return my income tax check back to Santa Barbara Tax Products Group LLC (Meta Bank). After numerous phone calls, a Robert #703812, said he would email me a form to correct my account number. I had called him at 6:08pm central time. I waited by my computer for an hour and no email - calling back they were closed. I called again at 7am their opening time and was told an email could take up to 24 hours to receive and that my check had already been returned by mail (receive in 5-7 business days). The lady I spoke with did email the form which I got in about 5 minutes. I called back again to see if they could stop payment on the check and I would fax them this form and information to get the funds wired back into my checking account. Of course, I was told this was not possible. So the email stating I had my income tax check already deposited was incorrect and in good faith I did write checks to put me in a negative balance in my checking account. Although I have no proof, other than other posted email complaints and my own situation, I am led to think this could be a scam to collect interest on my money. If a lot of people have the same problem, it could be a sizeable amount of money to get interest on. Now I am in a position where I have no money until I receive my mailed check, a negative checking account balance and probably will have checks returned which will do more damage. Being an older person, I can remember when bankers were looked up to and one could put full trust in them. In years past, a banker would call and get a problem like this corrected with a phone call - beware.

This place is a scam took my 22 tax return. The number I was given to call regarding my check no good it hangs up on you… My check was sent to Santa Barbara bank on Feb 28 I have not been able to get a response back from anyone yet. Do not recommend at all!

I have been waiting on my refund since May and they are telling me that they sent the money back to the IRS but the IRS does not see it. Waiting on this money has me in a bad situation as well. Be sure to report them to the BBB, the State of CA, and most importantly the Federal Reserve. After so many complaints they are going to do their job or be without a job. Report... Report...Report!

This is messed up how they are playing with our lively hood.

The balance of your refund $105,769.68, was sent to your bank for deposit on July 26, 2023. If your refund has not been credited to your account, check with your bank.

I didn't get my refund and i was told it will be sent back to the IRS ever since, the IRS said they haven't received any refund sent back from SBTPG.

Someone didi my taxes and sent it to this bank . I still haven't gotten my money. And I can't get in contact with the bank because they are not answering the phone I would like to know who made the bank account in my name because it was not me and I didn't get non of my money

My refund was rejected by greendot because they closed my account that I had no knowledge of it being closed. And the funds were sent back to sptg and they never sent me a check or anything.

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group [SBTPG] disrespect and unprofessionalism

This involving my 2009 Federal Tax Return. I used Turbotax to file the return. My refund was scheduled to be released to TurboTax on the 10th of February. TurboTax received the funds on the 12th of February. The refund was to be released from Santa Barber Tax Group on the 16th. Due to a numerical error in their computer system my account number was incorrect and the funds could not be deposited and was to be sent in check form. I called the number provide and spoke with a general customer service representative. I was told there was nothing that could be done and it was sent out in the days mail. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and was told there are none available at this time. The customer service representative told me that they would not be able to help me and the supervisor would only tell me the same thing. I then asked to be transferred again and was. The person I spoke with did not intent on telling me their title at Santa Barbara Tax Group and I continued to ask for it. This person was also a general customer service representative. Once I found this out I asked to speak with a supervisor again and was transferred to Lead Customer Service Representative Trey at extension 6824. He was aware of the situation and told me he was going to transfer me to his supervisor and put me on hold. Once he came back on the line he told me that he was able to retrieve my check from the mailroom. My check was not sent out in the days mail as I was told. Trey said in order for a direct deposit to be put in motion I was going to have to fill out a “Address or Account Info Change Request form” and fax it to [protected]. Also in this fax was a voided check and copy of Social Security Card. He stated that once the fax was received that it would take two hours to adjust the account and release the funds that day. I called roughly one hour later to confirm the fax was received and spoke with Jeremy at extension 6814. He said the fax machine was backed up and to call back around closing time (5:30pm Pacific time). I called again and spoke with Jeremy. He said the fax had not be yet received and to contact him in the morning. I did as such and spoke with him at 7:00am on the 17th. The fax was still not received and once again he asked me to contact within two hours to see if it was. At 11:30am I spoke with him again and the fax was received. He stated the account was updated and the funds were going to be released later that day. On Thursday the 18th I checked my bank account and no funds were posted. I called and spoke with Jeremy he told me the fax was not processed until Wednesday evening and it takes 1 to 2 days for the funds to post. The transaction was in the form of an ACH deposit. He then stated the funds will be released on that day the 18th. On Friday the 19th I still had not received any funds and called to speak with Jeremy once more. He told me that for what ever reason the funds were not released when they were supposed on the 18th and they were released the day of the Friday the 19th and should post in my account no later then Monday the 22nd which is today. Today is Monday the 22nd and I still have not received anything. Upon checking my bank account I called and spoke with Trey at extension 6824, who did not remember the situation, he also informed me his title was a customer service representative. At no point did he state he was lead or supervisor. He told me the funds were scheduled to be released today the 22nd and will posted within 1 to 2 business day. I asked what guarantee that I had my funds would be released today. He then transferred me to his supervisor Ruby at extension 6518. She was aware of the full situation dating back to last Tuesday the 16th. She stated my funds are scheduled to be released today at 3:00pm Pacific time and should post tomorrow Tuesday the 23rd. At no point in time did she apologize for the inconvenience or provide me with any real verification that the transaction would take place today. She was able to provide me with a Trace number which was 8 digits long my bank confirmed they are suppose to be 15 long. I asked that she email me with that number, her full name, title, and extension and also trey’s information. I never received the email. I am writing this to inform you that their business practice is subpar. They did not try to resolve this situation the way they portrayed that they would. In dealing with their customers they do not treat them with professionalism or respect.

I used TurboTax to e-file my federal return this year. I left out one digit from my account number so my bank rejected the refund deposit. I quickly emailed Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (the give no address or phone number on their website). SBTPG responded quiclky with a phone number.
