Holding of refund
To whom it may concern my names Jessica Tatum, I'm writing because the IRS release my refund to Santa Barbara Tax Product. Santa Barbara Tax group have been holding my refund. Said when they tried to deposit my refund, my bank code the refund as fraudulent account and send it back to Santa Barbara Tax group. That was on March 9,2022 the check was 1st tried to be deposited. When my bank notified me, a deposit was made different name. I called my bank, they fix the misunderstanding. On March 11, 2022 I have called my tax company and my bank along with Santa Barbara tax product group to confirm the account was mines. I have emailed in a void check that my bank have emailed me to give Santa Barbara Tax group to show the account belong to me. When I call Santa Barbara tax group, they give me lies after lies. I have been waiting 2 months for Santa Barbara to release my funds back to the IRS.
Desired outcome: I would like for them to release my refund
My tax refund
The IRS sent my tax return on May 4th. SBTPG hasn't released my refund to my bank. SBTPG said there was suspicious activity on my account, which is a lie because I haven't had any suspicious activity on my account. I went on SBTPG website and was able to put in my social security number, filing status, and amount I am getting back, and they found my account. But when I go to verify my identity with my social security number it says, We were not able to find the TPG info with the parameters provided. Please try again. Also on SBTPG website it gives you the reasons why it could be held - Why would my refund be placed on hold? Which none apply to me.
Here are some reasons that we may hold tax return funds:
An incorrectly entered bank account number in your direct deposit information
Using a bank account that belongs to another person - most banks have fraud-prevention measures that won't allow a direct deposit into an account bearing a different name

Literally I am dealing with the same thing. I'm on hold, for the 4th phone call with them! They actually CHARGED ME AN ADITIONAL 108.00 WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME STATING THAT I REQUESTED AN ACCELERATED REFUND! I'm about to LOSE IT! May 3rd they recieved it and have been holding it. It says "reserve". The whole thing is BS and, as a paralegal, I think it's time to rally the troops and initiate a class action against turbo AND SBTPG.

The refund amount deposited on May 4th, 2022, is different from the irs.gov amount stating that it deposited, into my direct deposit, a significantly larger amount. The correct amount needs to be deposited into my account immediately!

I have not received my refund yet I filled out an indemnity bond form twice and got two dates I was supposed to receive my check and still haven’t received not one check I’ve been patient with this and now I’m fed up with this bank I need to know some answers about my refund it’s not right to keep holding my refund!

TPG tax group have been holding on to my refund . When calling to speak with someone the customer service people are so disrespectful and rude . My tax preparer JTd financial service prepared my taxes I didn’t know they was going through 3rd party now this company been holding my refund . They want release my money to me or the irs. I have filled forms out sent them. Still no response.

Tax refund check
I never received my tax refund for 2021, which I just noticed Feb 2022. I was told that the check was sent to my tax preparer, he said he never got it or notice to print it because that's how he normally prints the checks in office. I called and went online to TPG tax products to upload a Indemnity Form. Got that notarized and emailed back the same day. It took 3 weeks, that I received a email stating to resend form because they couldn't read it. Emailed the same form back. Another few weeks went by, to receive another email on April 13th that I should be receiving a check with in 10 business days. 10th day nothing. Called back, rep stated that the check was mailed out on the 15th and the 29th of April is the 10th business day. And it will be mailed to my Tax preparer's house because that's the box I check (by accident). I wanted it mail to me. Ok so. Today May 3rd I'm trying to call all number to contact TPG and ALL NUMBERS ARE BUSY SMH

My Federal tax refund was $70.00 short and came in as a deposit from TPG Products, not the IRS.
I filed my tax with TurboTax Deluxe as I have for many years. This product includes one FREE e-filing and I used that .The tax refund showed up in my checking account as a deposit from TPG Products but was $70.00 short. I had to search on-line to find out what TPG Products is. TPG Products had taken a $70.00 fee out of my refund without any authorization. I don’t understand how they can do that and want my $70.00 returned.
Desired outcome: Please return the $70.00 that was taken from our Federal Tax refund.
Green dot bank cashier's check
Received a letter from irs saying they made an adjustment to my 2020 taxes and that I was owed $4470.77 2weeks later I received a cashiers check from greendot bank (tpg) for that amount. When I went to my Bank to cash the check says check wasn't valid and so than I went to Walmart since that's the main place they recommend online and they also couldn't cash it. This is so inconvenient and annoying that I can't even reach anyone on their 1800 number. I'm going to call the irs tomorrow to see if they could help me out I'm praying they will be able to help

Refund check
So my refund was rejected on 2/18/22 due to the amount. They issued a check and all just mail is forwarded to my new address. It’s now 5/2/22 and I still haven’t received my check. It said pending on the automated service but a representative said it was mailed out 3 weeks ago. I don’t believe them and just want my money. There should be something in place to assist instead of the regular mail.

I had filed my taxes with turbo tax in Feb. The IRS sent the refund on 2/23/22. My bank account was frozen so it was sent back to TPG. When I finally got a call through they said they sent a check and it probably got lost. They said it would be $50.00 to reissue. I keep trying to call and no answer. Also when logging into their website it keeps changing that it was direct deposit to an account or it says unknown.

Missing Tax Return
My bank account was compromised thus closed prior to me receiving my direct deposit. I called Turbo Tax and they referred me to this company saying that they had my tax return money. I am in dire need of that money as it was allocated to be used towards rent. I have tried for over a month now to get through on the phone only to be on hold for hours then hung up on. As a single mom I rely on that tax return money to get me through the year. I keep trying by email and their online contact form and never receive a response. I am so frustrated and really think that we should get some kind of class action together against this company for witholding and evading giving their customers their tax returns. Please, someone from this company contact me so we can resolve this matter.

Intuit Overcharge
Intuit overcharged me $199. Filed a simple W-40 form and they charged me for "self-employed". I was told Santa Barbara tax product group would issue a refund. I have not received it. Called Intuit back to complain. It's their overcharge, why should I have to hunt it down? Intuit told me it was processed on March 3rd. They gave me a number to call. [protected]. You can't reach a human. It's all prompts that don't pertain to my situation. I went to their website and left an email and have heard back. I have spent far too much time trying to get my money back. Intuit overcharged me. They've had my money, unlawfully, without any concern, for the past 2 1/2 months. I can't reach this "third party" Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, who Intuit chose; I did not. This is so corrupt. I will never use Turbo-Tax/Intuit ever again, after using them for the last 15 + years. So disgusting.
Tax refund
My tax refund was expected to be direct deposited in my account on 2/24/2022. I didn’t found out until a week later about this Santa Barbara Tax Group, which is a rip off. I have called for the past three months with them telling me one lie after the next about what happened to my refund. I sent in documents for an re-issue of the check…still no check. Submitted the documents AGAIN for a check re-issue. Now when I call it’s not even accepting my SSN for an status update. I will never use TurboTax again. This is a SCAM when people are waiting on their money for months and no resolution.

My bank rejected my tax refund was told I would get a paper check was told ready 2 months ago first was told it was sent Feb 28 then told it was sent 2 March then told it was sent 15 of March now was told it should have been here so I need to get a reuissed check did what they said to get a reuissed just to say 2 weeks later that I had to do it again because it was wrong was told the second check was going to be sent now that say I have to re do the process again then I was told April 15 it would be here and still the samething again

Unethical - I was charged fees when I selected the 'FREE' Turbo Tax option as my tax return is pretty simple.
Please refund my additional hard earned dollars of $137 as soon as possible! I am entitled to the full refund of $3,429, NOT $3,292.

My taxes were accepted 3/26/2022 using E-file and the Tax Product Group. I received my Federal Tax Return but still have not received my MD State Tax in the mail and cannot find out if has been mailed? due to a direct deposit error. Every time I try to contact (SBTPG) I have to wait an extremely long time to speak to a representative. I paid for services to expedited in a timely manner what a rip off!

Our refund was rejected from my green dot bank account which I been using for years somehow TPG received our refund 2/24/22. A cashier check was sent 3-13 it rejected at Walmart. We contacted them back sent a reissue letter that was emailed. We still haven’t received it. I been calling and emailing every day to get nothing resolved. Here it is 4-18

Tax refund
I used Turbo tax to file and chose direct deposit on 3/20. I also selected to pay the fees for turbo tax out of my refund. On 3/22 I received two separate e-mails saying that the IRS accepted my state and federal tax filing. my On 4/12 I received an e-mail from Turbo Tax saying I could expect my refund in the next 24 hours. On 4/13 I had my refund deposited into my account, it was slightly less than it should have been by about $800 and there was no explanation. On 4/14 the deposit was reversed in full. I contacted the IRS for my transcript. The IRS said they were not holding my refund for any reason. SBTPG is illegally holding my refund for no reason. I’ve called them, they have a ton of different numbers and I keep getting hung up on. It’s very upsetting. Turbo tax told me this is the IRS’s bank and has nothing to do with them. I’ve never had this happen before. I filed a complaint with the BBB, I’ve reported this to the FTC, I’ve alerted my personal bank to the reversal being fraudulent.
Desired outcome: I want my tax refund and I want the proper amount.
Amended tax return sent to incorrect account and address/hold on funds
I had been working for several months to get my 2020 amended return processed by the IRS and once it was finally finished, I was informed on March 14 that I would receive my refund via direct deposit from Turbo Tax/Green Dot Bank/Tax Products Group by March 16. The date came and went and I contacted the IRS who confirmed my information. Several days passed and I still did not receive the refund so I contacted Turbo Tax and Tax Products Group several times to locate the funds but to no avail. I found out that they sent my refund to the incorrect bank and had my previous address on file instead of what appeared on my return. I was told by TPG on April 11 that it was returned back to the IRS and it would take a week to have a new check reissued, which I later found out was untrue. I called TPG again on April 14 for an update and I was told that my check was on hold and to get it off of a hold, I needed to complete a form that would be emailed to me and in turn, I would need to email it back to [protected]@greendotcorp.com to include the following:

I was then told that it would take 72 business hours for the hold to be lifted and they would sent the check back to the IRS to reissue to my current address and it would take about one week. Because I never received the email, I called TPG back today, and was told that no such form existed and my check could be on hold for a couple more weeks, plus another 12-16 weeks to receive the check from the IRS. This is unacceptable, as I have waited over two years to have my 2020 taxes processed and now my funds are sitting in limbo because of TPG's error. I have literally sat on the phone on hold for hours each day just to talk to a representative to be told unreliable information at every turn. I need to have this issue rectified immediately and until then, I will file any necessary paperwork to expedite this matter.
