I have been a loyal customer to sony for over since the first ps1 and i have just had my ps3 for 4 years. In this 3 years i have had to replace the blu ray drive player in it twice. But the warrenty had expired 2 years ago and i called them with my first problem. When i called them they told me it would be 150 dollars to fix the problem. At the time i didnt have 150 dollars to give them so i looked into other alternatives. I was able to locate someone in my area to replace the blu ray drive for me. I was only charged 45 dollars the price of the blu ray drive which i thought was fair. I didnt have any problems with the blu ray drive but then i got the ylod in febuary of this year. I called sony again and they told me that since i had a non licenses technician fix my playstation the first time i wont quilify for the new low price of 99 dollars for them to fix it. So i had fix the ylod myself considering that they wouldnt do it for me. I fixed it but the blu ray wouldnt work so i replaced the blu ray again and lo and behold that doesnt recognize my disk. I called them again and complained about my frustrations as a long time consumer and its like they are not even concern. I know that there are more people out there like me that expect for a product that they spent 500 dollars on to last for more then 3 years. The thought of people having to shell out more money for them to fix the system is crazy and they need to extend the warrenty on a product that they are very aware of the has problems.

misleading advertising
Recently I purchased a Sony earphone Model number MDR-EX57SL/B from Ebay.in. Although the product was delivered to me within 2 Days of my order, I am extremely disappointed at the quality of the product of Sony. I payed Rs. 1290 for a product that was described online to give a deep base sound. But as soon as I listened to music on this headphone, I felt like throwing it away. To my utter disappointment, I heard that that the headphones does not have any sound of any bass sound, leave alone the deep bass that Sony claims it to have. it is frustrating that I paid more than one thousand rupees to buy a product which can be bought for only 100 rupees from the roadside. I simply bought it because Its a Sony. And i never imagined that Sony could make such a nonsense product. Now I will have to pay another 1500 rupees to buy another headphone? Simply because Sony tricked me into buying a headphone which claims to provide a certain quality, but does not in reality. I bring this to the consumer complaints board because this is a case of misleading advertisement which will now cost me Rs. 3000 in total. I am a fresh professional and do not have te luxury of earning lacs a months. Even rupees 1000 makes a difference to me. Please help.

I purchased a LCD tv of Sony Bravia Model No.KLV-19T400A ON 19/01/2009 from -Home Town Plot no..A-2, Lower Ground floor sector-38 A, TGIP Mall NOIDA UP 201301, with a warranty of 1 years, and just after around 17-18 months of successful running my LCD stopped running with no display on screen . I registered complain and service engineer visited and said that GB Mount is faulty and need to b replaced. So I requested to change the mother for wich I was charge 4700 rs .Now today 30/-7/2011 its almost 1 year after the GB mount had been changed I'm facing the same problem and the service engineer wom i ringed personally said that again it; s GB mount got fault and need to be replaced . Hence I registered complain today morning with sony customer care .
Now just imagine, Sony products In LCD has got so many problems and that sony is among top brand leaders in electronics goods and within 2.6 years My Sony Bravia LCD mother board is faulty or got problem. Now again I have to pay 4500 rs or I choose other alternative -- throwout my LCD and purchase other brand

Once I was a die-hard fan of sony ericson. but sorry to say not anymore eversince I' bought this Spiro w100i . And its not just me, but atleast ten victims of this phone I have met On May 22, 2011 I bought this spiro w100i and went off to Mussoorie for an event . As soon as I start taking photographs, the problem started.The phone started hanging and would go off when camera mode was put on etc On return to Delhi I took it back to Croma Tata electronic Kamla Nagar from where I had bought the phone They guided me to Kamla Nagar Sony Centre. The Sony centre said that there is a small software error which wil be rectified for that I have to submit the phone. When I got it back it was all scratched up {July 3 2011} After a week the phone started giving the same problem again. and on July 19, 2011 I submitted the phone again I was informed that the phone has a hardware problem and has been sent to the headoffice. Since then for over one and half month there was no information regarding the phone. On Sept 11th 2011 I vertually threatened to lodge an FIR for cheating against Croma manager Nidhi She promised me that she will into the problem I got the phone back with changed motherboard. But now I am finding it hard to load music as memory shows full with one song. Sony is cheating we indians Jai Hanuman. The only way out is to save our fellow Indians from preventing them to buy Sony products

I ordered and payed for a Sony vaio vgn-180p computer. The delivery of (a part of) the goods took at least 3 months. The item was not fully working. Connections by usb do not work nor bluetooth and wwan(G3). The owner of the site Keiron Earnshaw refused to send the money back. Sending back of the item was also not possible. A website with an owner who tells many lies. Only a part of the ordered goods have been delivered. The owner of the website Keiron Earnshaw, Allendalestreet 26 in Colne refuged in an e-mail to send the other ordered goods.
Pros: At least there was something send away after 3 months.
Cons: Not a reliable website. A lot of promises and lies. Very bad services. Terms and conditions of the website are a joke. A website dealing in fraude! Stay away!

I have purchased a handycam from a reputed dealer of sony in thane, mumbai, india few days back. I have no idea about the product whether it is a genuine one or a grey market piece. I would like to know if the purchased product is registered on sony website or not. But there is no facility on sony india website if a person want to register a product. There is no facility to check if the purchased product has been registered correctly or not. faulty piece/poor service
Hi,
I purchased Sony Erricsson Xperia mini Pro 3 months back.
From first month only I starting facing Charging issues
along with battery issues(battery draining in 3-4 hours)
I visited service center where they did software update and returned back my mobile.
Seeing issue not resolved I again submitted my mobile in service center 3 week back.
Service center took my case as tampered( Without warrenty ) as charging socked is loose/broken.
After three weeks I dont know where my mobile is. Service center says its in chennai and
when tracking my workorder it says delivered.
Also how come socket issue which is inner damage is being considered as tampered case
Its more of manufacturing issue, and how is it a tampered case.

Bravia lcd klv 32 ex 300 bouth on 24 april 2017, stop working within 30 days of purchase, after series of complain lcd is servised by quality of picture go worst, there is no response to my complain other than auto message ref no 5499091. sony is getting downwards in quality and service, we requeste to replace as it is only 60 days old from out purchase date..
This is regarding the response I am receiving regarding the after sales support of sony bravia 26” lcd tv which I bought couple of years ago.
Somehow, it went bad on late june (red light blinking six times) and I sought help of you customer care for repair. service representative was sent to my home twice and all they could say that the set needs to send to service center, which I complied on june 16, 2017 and they took the set to technocraft service center, salt lake, kolkata.
Till 25th. june, I didn’t got any response about what happened to my set and what could be the approximate cost of repair. after calling to you cust support helpline, I got a callback from technocraft (salt lake service center) that my tv’s panel went bad and need to be replaced which will cost rs 8000/- (?). the reason for delayed response was due to the service center sent request for discount to the higher authority which came back with a negative response (on the same day after I raised the delay complaint..!).
Hearing the amount of repair cost, I was shocked! requested them to hold for some time while I check with any senior executive on this repair cost discount. called the helpline (7/26) and they said that ms soma bose will get back to me on this. I waited for couple of days for her call which never came..
Helpless, I called technocraft and gave them a go-ahead on this repair. they confirmed that it will take 7 to 10 days to get my tv back as the panel comes from b’lore.
Thereafter, I am calling either technocraft or sony helpline only to hear that it will be repaired within very soon.
Today, it is 8/22, and I am yet to receive my tv set or any concrete date when I will get my set back in good condition.
The narration of this whole episode to you all, taking your precious time, is solely to make you aware of the pathetic ground reality which the consumers go after they buy sony bravia. I checked the internet and saw that large number of people share the same experience with sony as I am undergoing.
I am not sure, whether my set will be properly repaired, but given the scenario, I am so frustrated that I am thinking of buying another tv set which will never be sony

My sony bravia is four years old, purchased new in february 2017. just this month, when I first turn it on, I get a double image, mostly affecting words on the screen. below the intended broadcast message appears the message again but in a larger format and appears as a ghost.
Until now i've had no complaints with the tv. it has worked well. however, nowadays, it may take up to a couple minutes to clear itself. I thought it might be the satellite dish, so I tried switching the tv on by itself - and it still displayed "hdmi 1" with a ghost "hdmi 1" below it. without turning on the satellite receiver, after a minute or so the tv cleared itself.
I'm wondering what's going on. has anyone else experienced this?

The KDL52XBR9 is the SONYs Top of the Line LCD TV.
Less then 6 months out of 1 year warranty. Horzontal lines & partial blacking out of half the sceen. Sony made me have it looked at by a pro at my own expense and confirmed the LCD panel is bad. By all the articals Ive read about this model and other similar sized sony TVs they know its the panel without having me pay one of their certified repairmen look at it.
Sony response: They are hiding behind their warranty of one year. This top of the line TV costs about $3500 new. I would think it should last at least 3-5 years without breaking a sweat, but all the articals Ive read their TVs last less then 1 1/2 years.
We need to start a class action law suit against Sony, thats the only way this company will take these defects seriously.

As per the information I have contact the service centre ([protected] - Cochin Service Centre). They told me that they have no stock of touch screen. They have already so many pending in this case. They told me to come after 1 week. Before coming please call and confirm the parts. What I do... This is your service centre status. This service centre is 120KM away from my office and only ordinary bus service is avaliable to reach there; it will take 4 Hrs journey.

sony vaio bad repair centre and poor customer service
My Sony VAIO VGN-FZ11z failed in Feb11 with the NVIDIA GPU problem. Apparently ( see http://genesis.sony-europe.com/instranet/ccil_sony/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=53420&l=en_GB&m=VGN-FZ11Z# ) this is down to a manufacturing defect and Sony VAIO put up a release on their web site stating they'd fix certain models free of charge. So I contacted them and they picked it up via DHL and sent it to a Sony "repair" centre, which is actually a place called Teleplan in Colchester UK. 2 days later Sony VAIO link told me it was fixed & thjey were returning it. Got it back, and they hadn't done a thing ! Second time it went back, I got it back and it looked OK, but after a cold boot, it kept gong into Windows repair ! They [some call centre in Egypt at 35p/min] got me to do a full factory reset (VAIO recovery software) which failed to install Vista. They then sent me recovery discs, which again failed to install Vista [all hours of my personal time by the way]. THREE months down the line, it went back for a third time, and now apparently there is still a problem with the NVIDIA GPU, and apparently [all of a sudden] there's some bad sectors on the HD [even though I've check this numerous times]. Yeah right. Guess what, they want to charge me £370 for replacing the HD. Total cowboys, and worst I don't trust a thing they say. I've given them an ultimatum to fix it, replace it or provide a refund. All gone very quiet, but they don't realise I have logged it with UK Trading standards and have contacts within BBC, ITV and Channel4.

18.12.2012 I've had three separate pick-up days fixed by Sony/DHL for my laptop to be picked up. Waited in and nobody turned up! That's 3 days of my time wasted. But they sure took the money for the repair out of my account quick enough! They took the money immediately. You would think they would take the money when the repair had been completed. It's an Asus for me next. time. I certainly won't touch another Sony product.

Hi sir this is kapil from jammu. I am the regular user of sony ericsson cell phone n m using the same since 2003. Last year i had bought one of ur sony ericsson T700. But suddenly phone was switched off. As the same in warrenty period, i took the same to the service center. They prepared the job sheet n told me to come after 20 days. But to my shock when i approached the service center it was closed n it was closed forever. Anyhow i inquired n got the address of the new service center. I showed them my job card n they said my phone will reach to them within days n when the same reach to them they will inform me. Its almost 5 months but my phone is not returned to me in a working condition. Just wanna know whether i have done something wrong by relying on the name of ur company n have purchased the phone manufactured by u. Sir m an advocate, n dont have much time to visit the service center to listen their false pretext. Its 4 months gone since i have
given the phone for repair n till date nothing have been done on ur part. I have given my phone for repair on 2nd of feb 2011 n my work order no is SE31100710114. Sir actually i dont wanna involve myself in litigation but ur conduct is forcing me, in which eventuality u have to compensate me for everything. Hope u will do the needful. under warranty
I purchased one BDV-E870/M1RU3 on dt.18/11/2010 in the N/o Harraghunath, Dhuri. The system DVD stops functioning after 3 months. When i tried to log a complaint to your service centre at Ludhiana they said this set beyond economical repair you will charged for this even the product is under warranty, the set damaged by Rat pissed & Rusted, they refused to replace the product. Even i send a mail to Sony India but there also no response. It is really pathetic that a company like Sony is showing this kind of disregard to customers. I feel like one who has been cheated and then humiliated. I just want to brought it the notice of general public and sony officials (If they really bother to go thru this) that this kind of practice will not lead them to a leadership position. Making jazzy punchlines and mottos are irrelevant unless you really develop the culture to taking care to your customers.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
unhappy with phone [battery]
I have bought this cell phone on the 24 August 2010. After a week's use I went back to this shop and complain about the battery of the phone - it only lasted about 8 hours. The shop assistant explain about android and aplications on the phone and that it takes a lot from the battery. I paid R3230-00 for this phone. I told the shop assistant that I am unhappy with the phone and rather want a refund or change of phone. He insisted that I take the phone to the Sony Ericson workshop which is called SSS Cellular in Boksburg. My phone was returned with a new battery, but now only lasts about 4 hours. I paid a lot for this phone - what should I do now?
it is a good mobile. battery back up is poor. and it could'nt be upgrade to 2.3.
Just stay away from this phone. It is a flop model. My phone did not charge after one month of buy. Warranty does not cover anything. Supposedly we have damaged it
