I received an SCE bill in 5/17/23 showing a miscellaneous transfer for $1,314.05 into my existing account I've been paying since 2007. I contacted customer service and was informed their records show I moved out of a random address in another city as of 3/5/2023 with this outstanding balance. The representative could not provide details for this balance, but offered a payment plan if I could not pay. I told them this was an error as never lived at this address and have been living and paying electricity at my current address since 2007. They directed me to the claims department to file my dispute. I also went to the address in dispute provided by SCE and talked to the occupant, who confirmed he had been paying his bill for 30 years and never contacted SCE for a move out. He provided a copy of his current bill with a different account number, which I sent to SCE Claims along with my proof of residency at my current address. A representative contacted me and insisted I closed the account and the current resident was transferred in as of 3/5/2023, and I have been past due since 3/17/20.
Desired outcome: SCE to reverse this frivolous transfer from my account.
