my name is PURUSHOTHAM, with credit card no. [protected]. i hav already paid the bill amount of rs.5, 000 from the total of rs.10, 655.62, for the month of july through the cheque belonging to united bank of india, the cheque no. is 393499 and the payment date is 6 july 2010. but the statement which i recevied in august, it is showing the same amout and not showing any results of the payment of rs.5000. and i also received the cleard cheque of rs.5000 on 9th july as i hav paid the payment. so, please kindly solve it and send the correct balance on my bill, by removing all the fines and interest charges which you have charged. I have right to approach to consumer court.

Last week I received a call from SBI employee, Delhi, Credit Card Department, stating that you have to pay us a balance of about Rs.12500/- for the credit card utility. I told them that I had never been issued any credit card by SBI though I applied in the year 2005 and 2007 but they declined me without assigning any reasons. In this regard, I had to fire the concerned officials as I also belong to SBI group and if you are not providing me such services as to how you will provide to others. When I asked more details of this credit card, they told me that this card was issued in the year 2001 and they do not have any details about the transactions. They also told me that you have made a payment in the year 2005 while the fact is that I was transferred to Ludhiana in 2002 and to Hyderabad in 2004. I never received any credit card from SBI. When I asked as to from where you got my mobile number, they replied it was received from your original records while the fact is that the Bank provided me this mobile in the year 2007 only and I was not having any mobile prior to that.
Again some body from SBI, Delhi given a ring to me and I explained him everything and advised him to investigate the matter. Instead he is forcing me to pay the amount for such a credit card which was never issued to me. I told him to refer the matter to Consumer Court, for which he is not bothered and told me to go ahead but pay the amount. This is such a typical attitude of such persons who create problems themselves for others and then harass others for their mistakes. I have a doubt they might have withdrawn the amount or used credit card themselves and kept silent for 8 years and now demanding the payment.

I have been assured a free SBI credit card without any annual charges. But to my regret, I found out later that reality differs entirely from promises. I have been given a health insurance without asking me and without my approval. I recieved a health insurance first. I was surprised and tried to figure out who have sent the insurance. Later after about a month I received a SBI Credit card statment where they charged me Rs. 6000 for Royal SUndaram Health insurance. When I requested to cancel it, customer care executive told I have to pay 2000 as I am already late to inform. I have been told to contact Royal Sundaram while I am cusomer of SBI not Royal Sundarm. Now I have fined 1000 more as delay charges. I haven;t swiped the card for single time.
Please suggest me how to get out of it. I dont want to let go my hard earned money.

BUT YET NO ACTION SO FAR HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN FORM YOURSELF” then BAGUIATI POLICE O.C. Mr. Goutam Mitra, went through all my papers (20 pcs. Adult S.M.S., Adult picture with the boy, G.D.E, MANY MANY OTHER PAPERS RELATED TO MY CASE and TWO c.d.). After seeing all my papers he told me that I cannot take any action until and unless you lodge a case against all of them.
Then I Prayed to the Ld. C.J.M at Barasat court to lodge the case, against the alleged person. (the payer to the Ld. C.J.M. is enclosed which is self-explanatory) after filing the case the BAGUIATI POLICE O.C. Mr. Goutam Mitra, and I.O. Mr. Prasenta Kumar Das, Mr. Ajay Kumar Ghosh, in stead of taking not any take proper investigation/ not take any action/ not take any type of query to recover my Cash and Gold form the house of Shankar Kumar Samanta, The BAGUIATI POLICE O.C. Mr. Goutam Mitra, and I.O. Mr. Prasenta Kumar Das, Mr. Ajay Kumar Ghosh, took my case as a Golden Goose, and how much money BAGUIATI POLICE O.C. Mr. Goutam Mitra, and I.O. Mr. Prasenta Kumar Das, Mr. Ajay Kumar Ghosh, has taken is well known to them. Neither he took any take proper investigation/ not take any action/not take any type of query nor he did roundup them against my case.

I wrote my matter to our local P.S., Local Councilor, all M.P., M.L.A., Minister in W.B. and Other States, C.M. in W.B., CBI Department, CID Department, S.P. and Dy.S.P.(N.) 24 Parganas, DGP Bhupindar Singh, All the I.P.S. AND I.A.S. OFFICERS. Governor in W.B, and President in India. P.M. in India, National/International Human rights department, AAP KI KACHEHRI – KIRAN KE SAATH, Kolkata Police, and all police officers in W.B. informed Kolkata Commissioner of Police, Manager S.B.I.-Branch: 24B, Nimtala Ghat Street, Jorabagan, Kolkata- 700006, West Bengal, India, Bank Ph. No. 033 [protected]. My nation, all of the news channels, and all press, Talking with some NGO’s: 1. Universal Right and Duty for Human to Abide URDHA, 2. Human Right Commission’s Mr. Ujjal Paul and Mr. Shibaji Dasgupta. 3. Bhatat Bachao Sangathan BBS. 4. Forum for Social Justice and Development FSJD. 5. they are forcibly imposing their insurance products to customers
One of the customer service person use to call me everytime and asking for the Insurance. I had told many times not to call and I am not interested, even then I use to receive lot of call from them. One fine day they were pleasing me for the Insurance details and also told that they will be sending me the documents and details of Insurance product and if I do not like that, I can decline the same. But I did not receive any such documents or Insurance Certificate of the product and could see the Credit Card statement with due of the Insurance amount. From that time onwards I am calling the Customer service department to cancel the Credit Card as well as the Insurance but they did not do anything and sending me the Credit Card statements that too not regularly. IInspite of calling them so many times they did not do anything and forcing me to pay the amount which I am not supposed to Pay. This is like forcibly imposing their Insurance products to customers.
very strange and amusing way of running credit card business
A few months back, suddenly I stopped getting my monthly statements for SBI Card No. [protected]. Repeadly speaking with customer care help line executives didnot yield any result. When I did not pay the monthly due, I got the call and told the reasons for non payment. I was promptly sent copies of the previous two months statements with the promise I would get my monthly statements regularly henceforth. But unfortunately, this month I have not yet received the statment for previous month till today. It would not be possible for me to make payments without knowing the charges being levied on me by thebank. Since I had experience of getting inflated statements twice from the bank which were corrected on my objection.
My credit card has expired in the month of February, 2007. Generally one gets renewed card sufficiently in advance of the expiry date. In spite of my informing the Customer Care Executives on phone, I have not received my new card even more than three months after expiry of my card. This is very strange and amusing way of running credit card business.

I visited State Bank of India (Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad) Branch yesterday (07/13/2010). I am an existing account holder of SBI and requested for an account opening form for my father. The clerk refused to give me without showing ID and address proof of my father. I requested the clerk politely that I am an exsisting customer and as per my information the documents need to be attached with the completed form. Additionally my father is busy and its tough for him to take leave from office so he will come only once for the submission of documents.
I showed my ID proff and DL to him (I also showed him the SBI debit card) and said. If you still can not give me please give me in writing.
When I talked to the manager about it, he did not even listened to the issue completely and started shouting stating that "how dare I entered his room". I said that I asked for permission before coming inside and I am facing hell lot of problem for a simple request.
I wrote an application stating that "Please return the letter to me if you can not give me an account opening form without prior submission of the documents". The Manager tore the application and said I can go to a lawyer and take help of RTI.
The Police was called imediately and the policeman said that its good for me if I do not raise the issue and go home. Because if the manager complaints then we will arrest you and will take to police station.
When I asked the policeman what crime I have done then he said, "Nothing, I know you are right, I also faced issue with the bank. These are government employee and are always loki this. Nothing can't be done and we will not have an option but to arrest you. So just go home".
Now I have following questions if those can be answered.
* Do I need a prior approval for meeting a bank manager?
* Does he have right to missbehave with a customer?
* Why can't I get an account opening form?
* Can I hope for an action against him for the harresment or he will be spared being the bank manager of SBI?
* Is this ethical and good for SBI's Image and for its customers?

the sbi credit card division is charging hidden cost on credit card holders
The SBI Credit Card Division is charging Hidden cost on credit card holders (i.e., Insurance premium amout for the outstanding amount) which amount you are not used that you have to pay while using sbi card.
I have told them to cancel the Insurance coverage (premium amount) and not paid the coverage amount. And they have charged late payment fee also for the same amount which i am not suppose to pay.
So SBI Credit Card holder please be aware of this.

This is some pathetic option which I have applied by filling an application form in TATA CROMA Store, Gurgaon.
The guys have all me details, documentation and completed verification. Aftre doing all these surveys, they called me to congratulate that 'my card application has been approved'. Then he said for security reasons tell me your Date-of-Birth.
What the hell 'security' he was talking about when he already informed me that my Credit Card has been approved.
Is this the kind of security measures, Indian banks opt. I just want to log a complaint against this bank (SBI ) and TATA CROMA on customer data security.
Someone please let me know, if I should approach consumer court or civil court to register a case against this security breach.

i also got a bill with 400 charged as annual fees... when I asked the customer care they said that this is the annual fees and will be charged every year..
I would have been fine if they would have credited that amount on my first purchase... but to get this waived off I need to make a purchase of atleast 3000 in the next month..

As far as that 400 charge you are complaining about...I believe that they charge you a certain amount in the first bill and then rebate it back to you after your first purchase or something to that effect.

I got a call from a man (KAMLESH) telling that he is calling on behalf of IRCTC (Really they r agents for SBI credit Card).
He told that irctc offers u card with the following benefits
- No platform ticket for any railway platforms in INDIA (No rly officials r aware of it)
- No transaction charges for internet ticket booking(1.8%).
- 10% Cash back for AC tickets. Railway points for all the tickets booked online using the card.It also can be used as credit card.
- Initially no charge for 1st year and if you like the card you can renew it by paying 300/- Rs 350 bonus points.
He was asking for the documents on the same day by giving the reason that there executives are in bangalore circle today and tomorrow they will be in mysore circle. He said because you are using irctc for 4 years so it is a offer for your transactions in IRCTC. I asked for some time and verify the card details on the website:

He again called saying that he will send the executive tomorrow and before that he will give me a call. I told him that this card is not beneficial to me as i travel in 3 tier AC mostly. And the card is not beneficial for a sleeper and 3 tier passengers.

1) Points can be redeemed only after minimum of 500 points accumulated
2) You must be one of the passengers on the ticket to earn Railway Points. Also, Railway Points will be awarded only on your individual fare
3) If you cancel a redeemed ticket before the date of journey, you forfeit 50% of the Railway Points, over and above the existing cancellation charges
SBI should teach their tele-executives about the manner. Their work is to sell their products but it depends on the customer whether they want to take or not.So be careful when this call comes to u.Think whether it is useful to u and go for it.

Despite repetitive saying to call after sum time, this person called vivek, who claims to be the asst. //manager of parris branch, chennai, called me up five times from 2.13 - 2.19 noot. Today.
This card was taken by my husband, in his name. As far we knew, the amt to the credit card was cleared. And then the cards destroyed (Cut into two) by us as, adviced the call centre agent.
But still the sbi credit card claims that for a balance of 13 rs. (Thirteen rupees) we now have to pay approx rs.5000. Odd.
Why is the bank allowing its agents to make calls at this odd times. Or do these agents work only on a sunday?
What I cant understand is how a person after being told that "am in my sleep, do call later, my husband is not in state right now" says that "how do I know if ur asleep"?
Is that the way to talk to any customer. As if vivek cant have a peek at his wristwatch.
And just to irritate the hell out of me, vivek kept ringing on to my number five times. Each time, I took the call, he'd keep quiet for 3 secs, n cut the line. Then call up again.
Please do not make any calls to any person on a sunday. I believe all are entitled to a noon nap. On a holiday.
I hope some one do take this matter into consideration.

Having recd no reply from any corner in writing inspite of my rptd emails ., I contacted Ms.Archna, Mumbai who informed about the liability of Rs.15304.97 to be paid by me. I was shocked to hear about the heavy liability which has not been spent by me. Try to locate the person who has done these two transactions.

To enlighten U in brief : After constant pursuasion for about three months and an assurance (in verbal)that there will be no charge for one year and it will be provided free of cost as GOV.SBI CARD to Rly.Officers for a period of one year. When i got SBI CARD with tariff charges as JOINING FEE & ANNUAL FEE of Rs.1500/- each(i.e Rs.3000/-) per annum, I was surprised. I would like to know the name of the executive who misguided me and he should be penalised for the said amount, which has not been spent by me.
To be brief: Recd. credit card No.[protected].Returned on 23.03.10 to Gurgaon office .The card was neither signed by me nor it was scratched from the letter wherein it was pasted. How the transaction took place without signature? I wanted to send the letter by SPEED POST /REGD POST but Post Office deptt. refused to take the letter as It was addressed to P.O Box no.60, DLF QE POST OFFICE, GURGAON. I helplessly sent by ordinary post as no other address was written on the letter. After 23.03.10, i sent mails on 02.03.10, 24.03.10, 19.04.10.Fradulent transactions were made on 08.04.10 & 10.04.10. If a fradulent transactions are made after returning the card, how the card holder is responsible? I would like to make it amply clear that i am not going to pay a single penny and i would like u to pl. look into the matter with positive attitude.Letters sent by mails and mail dt.19.04.10 follows.

This is my second request to you. SBI Life Insurance company is the biggest 420 company in india. They are the biggest cheaters and collecting the money by giving 100% false information. Don't trust on them. I am going to register a 420 case against them. i also suggest that before investing in the SBI life, please do not forget to tape the phone calls of the representatives of the company because they always give attractive offers before investment and than after receiving the amount from client, you will find that the company has cheated you 200%. so at this moment taped calls will help you to file a case against the company. Just 2 days back the company has tried to cheat me by giving Shubh nivesh policy after providing 200% wrong information, but i am having about 6 taped calls of the company's representatives on my mobile phone and video conversation of local representatives, a big case will be registered on the company very soon. My case is also similar as has been posted by Mr. Rathi. I have been receiving repeated calls from Ajmer posing as speaking from SBI life insurance. Since I was looking for some investment proposal I agreed to invest. I was then approached by some Ms. Swati mob. no. [protected] who suggested me to invest in SBI's Shubh Nivesh Endowment Plan. She explained me about this plan. Before accepting, since this also give life cover, so I informed the lady about my age (58 yrs.). She told me I am eligible to this plan. Then one day their representative came and I filled the form and issued the cheque for Rs.30, 000. My Proposal No. is [protected].
Then one day I received a telephone call and a letter dt 26-04-2010 from SBI life insurance ajmer office asking me to go for Medical check up and clinical test. When I asked them why it was not informed in the beginning, I was told it is necessary for persons of your age and the agency must have informed you.
I contacted Ms. Swati and asked her why she hide her identity of agent and not informed earlier about the medical check up, she simply said 'SORRY'.
I went through all the test. Then in the first week of May'10, I received a call from Ms. Swati inquiring whether I have received my policy, those days we were out of Bhiwadi. On that day I was informed that my case has been accepted. After coming back home I caled her and was informed within seven working days i.e. between 17th to 24th may'10 I will receive my policy.
After waiting till 24th, I tried to contact Ms. Swati on her mob. no. [protected], from 10:30 AM but every time I got the reply Madam is in meeting. Then I contacted SBI Life Ajmer office on tel no. [protected], and wanted to know about my case, I was informed that because of medical reason my case has been declined, when I inquired about my money, I was informed that within 15 to 20 days from 21st May, I will get my money back. When I informed that I have been informed that my case has been accepted, the reply was Sir, these brokers say like this only.
After learning this I tried to talk to Ms. Swati, but found her 'meeting' not finished till 7:00PM. Then I asked the person Mr. Vijender or Mr. Virender who attended the call to give their office address, the gentleman told me he will SMS me, I am waiting for that SMS till now i.e. 10:40 pm.
My COMPLAINT with SBI life insurance is that PLEASE BAR THESE TYPE OF AGENTS.
And a REQUEST can any one, who so ever goes through this complaint can advise me how legally I can act against this Agent so that no other person is cheated. She must have got the commission on my proposal and that will be deducted from my deposit, also the medical charges and other processing charges. Will know about the loss only when I receive back my money.
