Steers new advert with sexy half naked girls on television advertising burgers is so not property and suitable especially as kids see it on tv its advertising sex and wrong ideas. Please urgently get rid of the advert.

I disagree.

The advert is amusing and pokes good natured fun at men.

It is a brilliant ad, one of the the best i have seen.
If it is upsetting you, tell your children to go to bed, they should not be up at the time that the ad is played anyway.

The ad is no more degrading to women than most beauty product adverts are. I suggest that if this is where your offence line begins, then you should consider therapy as a serious option moving forward. And what exactly are you trying to protect the world's kids from by asking for the removal of this advert?

May I also suggest that complaints only be considered if they are decipherable without the use of a custom Rosetta Stone? I sincerely hope that the complaints board does not consider the above complaint to be worthy of their time, whether it be for a translation or within the context of the complaint...

Leave it on, stop being bored and go and find something else to do besides complaining. Rather gossip about your neighbours to your other neighbours. At least that way we don't have to put up with it. The ad is a successful one... it got you to remember the Steers name didn't it? Keep watching and have fun! Go eat a burger.

Ads are all about brand awareness. This complaint has spread through the forum community like a wild fire, so thank you in your efforts in helping Steers have their brand reach the public at large... For the record, I, my friends and their wives, all found the add to be hilarious...

Caryn, if you feel this way, switch of the TV as there are numerous ads with "half naked girls". Nearly all the perfume, lotions, deodorant etc have "half naked girls"

Numerous ads with "half naked girls"? Oh, you mean the ones all done in good taste? Those I have no problem with. Its one where they're basically throwing sex in your face that I have a problem with.

And to the person who said our kids should not be watching TV at that time - my child goes to bed at 8pm. Yet I had the misfortune of having them witness this debacle of an advert. I did not realise 8pm was too late for a 9 year old.

I wonder - to all the men who think nothing of the advert - would you still say the same if that was your daughter cavorting around on the tv screen like that? I doubt it.

There is a time and place for everything. This advert would not be such an issue if its broadcasting hours were kept to a later slot. I am not a prude, but I AM trying to bring up my son to respect women.

Perhaps Steers don't care that not many people actually take note of which burger they are advertising (as come on, they're getting a lot of publicity from this) but yeah, bad publicity is far worse than no publicity.
