Beware of the biggest fraudulent time share company
I am a member of Sterling Holidays since 2017. When I joined, their relationship manager told me that I can avail holidays in any season but the respective season points will be deducted. However, I found that this was not the case, and I was not allowed to book in other seasons. Had I known this I would never have signed up. In 2020, their representative...

Hello Im a time share member since 2000 but have not paid my AMC since 2008 when i called the company to repay the dues & use my membership, now they are telling me that my membership is cancelled last year & there were no letters or email informing the same.
Return my initial fund back if you are cancelling my membership. This is the biggest fraud company in the world & governments should notice this & take action against this company.

Not listening a request for cancellation and paying the refunds back
Sterling being the reputed chain of hotels played a game along the agent Siddharth through which we had booked the rooms in the hotels of Ooty and Kodaikanal from the date of 24th to 30th May 2023. We had made a request to cancel one room out of three bookings. firstly when we had called to hotels they said that they will refund the money if the agent says and the agents said that he will refund the money if the hotel says. These both the hotels and the agent played games with us and did not refund our money we requeted forthe cancellation prior 7 days of our booking. tried to call n said that plse cancel the bookings but they were stubborn. Nthey did not respond well.
I have the recordings too

reservations
I booked the Sterling Fern Hill resorts at Ooty from ₹23rd May to June 3rd. I asked them to cancel my reservation for four days out of 11days. Now they have cancelled my booking for seven days instead of four days. No explanation from them in spite of many calls. Why are they not having a dedicated phone no for these types of problems. Their web site is useless.

misguide for my membership - 1225993
By way of a Mr.Manoj kumar - sales officer (017638) in March 2016, i got 3, 01, 050/- worth of white studio membership.
Then Mr.manoj kumar gave me a false information provoked my desire and upgrade me am Red studio member at cost of Rs.4, 53, 550/- in August 2016.
And by continuing to persuade me against my wishes, i have upgraded my membership as a Purple studio in December 2017 by cost of Rs.7, 52, 411/-
As per your sales team direction, i have paid up to rupees 2, 50, 000/- as a member.
As on date i have 14 nights to redeem, but they have rejected my reservation request for a holiday due to some reasons.
Still i have not received a proper answer my questions yet when i asked to your persons through calls and mails from 25.04.19.
So you have to realize my position of being deceived by their sales team.
So i have requested to you, please recognize myself as a white studio member and release my balance payment asap.
Otherwise cancel my membership and repay my total amount.
I am waiting for you to get the right solution from you.
IF I DO NOT GET PROPER SOLUTION FROM YOU, I WILL INFORM YOU THAT I WILL PROCEED OUR LEGAL ACTIONS.
refund not given. fake refund details were provided
Disappointed with their customer service.
I have cancelled a booking on 01Aug2018 and they claim they refunded it. I haven't received the money. I have been following up with them and they provided some transactions details which doesn't help to trace it with bank. They are not co-operative to raise a complaint with their bank and help to solve this issue. Really frustrated with their service. I live overseas and it is not easy to trace things with banks and others from abroad.

fake promises

So in 2016 I brought sterling Holidays lowest category(Blue) package of 25 years in Raipur, Chattisgarh. I got it for ₹1, 99, 000 (2 lakh). I was called in a exhibition for discussing about it. There the representatives promised that I will get 30% discount on food, I can go to anywhere anytime I want, free spa, I will get all facilities for free like sports, pickup from station, hotel car will take for side scenes and if I want so I can use my package early.
I found out that these all promises were FAKE when I went to lonavala in this year. I got no facility from these.
These are the actual things that happened with me:
I got 8% discount on food, I cannot go in pik seasons, I have to pay for spa, not all sports were free, no pickup, no hotel car..
I was really upset after my trip was over. I contacted my representative and he talked with me rudely and said "No, I haven't spoke anything like that and now I have left sterling and joined club Mahindra and don't contact me again".
After this I was really angred so I contacted customer service. I contacted them many times but they were not able to give a solution.
My representative name is Sachin Pathak
I have paid 6500+6500 (2times) as annual subscription fee and I have only used it one time while going Lonavala for 3days (I booked 2 rooms).
He done many fake promises. I feeling like I got scammed very bad.
I hereby demand sterling Holidays authority to cancel my membership and refund my money.

Unethical behaviour
I had purchased Sterling Resorts timeshare 2 years back from Kochi office ( No.1218888) but had not availed it till date. I had paid Rs. 1, 95, 000/- for it. A few months back we decided to upgrade our timeshare to one in which we were able to use it in all seasons. The executive Sri Vibinkumar told us that the cost of the new one will be Rs.4.5 lakhs and since we had paid nearly 2 lakhs we need to pay only 2.5 lakhs. Since we were planning a trip to Singapore we readily agreed and paid Rs 1 lakh and agreed to pay the rest in EMI starting from 01/2017. But later came to know that singapore was not in their list of holidays we went by our own. Now they are telling us that the timeshare cost is Rs 6.5 lakhs and less the Rs 2 lakhs it is 4.5 lakhs we need to pay. But this was not mentioned to us at the time we paid for the share. The executive was not answering our calls as well. We would like a full refund of Rs 3.5 lakhs we had paid to the company. Our new Id is 1227615. Please help us get our money back since we feel we are cheated.
Unauthorized Charges
We are holding a membership ID 5949A with Sterling Holiday Resort since 1994 and have hardly used it. We understand that there are Annual Amenity Charges dues since 2001 to be cleared on this account and we are willing to do so.
However, Sterling has said they will credit only 3 years inventory after collecting dues for last 16 years and this is not agreeable to us.
If Sterling wants us to clear dues since 2001, they need to either give us inventory for the same period along with some grace period to consume the same. Else, waive off the previous dues and collect only last 3 years dues since they are giving us 3 years inventory.
Please note that Sterling has only recently started refurbishing their resorts. For the period they are asking us to clear the dues, their resorts were inhabitable and resort maintenance was substandard. My family just refused to stay at any of the Sterling properties due to this.
We have tried our level best to convince Sterling to either provide sufficient inventory or reduce the charges, but they are not willing to budge.
We need some justice and Sterling just cannot continue to exploit members like me at will.
AAC charges
I'm a shareholder of Sterling holidays since 1995.Now booking for my holidays at goa, they are saying to pay since 2001 to 2015 AAC including penalty 10%.Mr.Ramesh, a team manager said the amount due from 2001 to 2015 is Rs 21494+10% penaltyRa 2149=Rs23643 till 2015 and year 2016= Rs 3174. Total= Rs26817. But when i talk to Mr.Satish on 06/02/2016, he given me break up like this::year 2001 to 2008= Rs 900 each year so Rs 900*8=Rs7200+10% penalty so Rs 7920, year 2009 to 2011=Rd 1100 each year so= Rs3300+10% penalty=Rs 3630, including penalty in year 2012=Rs 2117, year 2013= Rs 2117, year 2014=Rs 2329, year 2015= Rs2922. So total coming as from 2001 to 2015 year including penalty is = Rs 21035+ year 2016= Rs 3174= Rs 24209. So you can see the manipulation in accounts, in order to cheat customer.
Complaints against Sterling Holidays::
1)Unethical AAC which was not mention at the time of taking timeshare.
2)Even if we are paying AAC, they are manipulating accounts in order to extract more money from customer.
3)Reason for imposing penalty when they don't intimate the AAC to customer, fault is on the company not customer.
4)Improper customer handling as when I talked to Mr.Ramesh, team manager, he said there is no point sueing the company, as many customer has done that but we have won all the cases.
Kindly help me so that I can resolve the issue.

Pathetic customer service
I am basically from Coimbatore. one of my friend gifted me a holiday from his sterling holidays time share. when we both sat together to book a holiday, we tried to contact there customer service number in Chennai sterling office ([protected]) which was keep ringing and getting disconnected. so again we tried to call them in the 1st hour the next day. then a recorded voice started instructing us. then the call was put on hold for about half an hour again, no one attends the call from customer service. this is really pathetic. after a several try at last we got the person on line. he said that we need to email our reuqest in order to know the availability and book the rooms. Guys then why the hell these people have a customer service number fro reservations. An another big highlight is they have people talking in tamil and there is no tamil language to select. You may all can also try to call the above number once. And forgot to say even after sending the mail request the reply came only after 1week. Telling that no availability. This made us to disappoint. Guys please recommend anyone to joins sterling or never ever get into sterling holidays. there are better companies to choose. I dont think this company will recover for there life time from such problems.
