I have been a straight talk customer for many years but I am new at auto refill. I was double charged for my service this month, once on the 14th and once on the 16th. I call CS and they forwarded me to refund and they had no record of the latter charge. I cancelled auto refill and will be going to Verizon prepaid if I am not refunded the money that was taken from my account. I see a long history of complaints of this nature and it seems you may have an internal theft issue.
Desired outcome: Refund
Fraudulent charges on my account-unethical behavior
01/10/2021 - I have 3 phone lines that I have on autopay, this is the second time they have done this to me in 4 months. They turned off our phones overnight. First thing in the morning, I call to ask why our phones are off. CSR says your card has expired, we need new card information. I give them the same information that they have on file, and now they tell me that I have to pay a reconnection fee, plus for all 3 phone lines even though they have different billing dates and still had time left on their service plans that I lost. I ask for a receipt from them and they tell me to look on my bank statement. I ask for a transcript of the discussion and they tell me they can not. Very strange and unethical. Very bad customer service.

Desired outcome: Refund reconnect charges and time lost on plans.
Phone
Over the last 3 months or so and I have never had such terrible customer service from Straight talk in 10 years. Finally I purchased a 4th phone in the 3 months and when the UI System failed, I called for a replacement per my 1 year agreement. I was told one was being sent to me and when I called to check on the status, I was told I had to mail in my purchased phone and await the replacement phone, rendering me without a phone until straight talk found it convenient to send me a replacement. This is unacceptable and horrible business. I have always encouraged friends to use their service, but never again will I . Especially when I explained I travel for work and need to have a phone for safety reasons so I could send in my phone after the replacement arrived, they still refused. I find this despicable business and never have I been so disappointed.
Desired outcome: Replacement phone first, for safety reasons.
Phone
I purchased a phone June 27th. I could never get it to work and was told to mail it to corporate in Miami, FL. Every time I call they say I will be refunded within 30 days. Now 6 months later they claim they have no record of my phone and will not refund me. I have spent at least 30 to 40 hours on the phone trying to resolve this. Last time they told me to deal with Wal Mart but Wal Mart tells me deal with Straight Talk. I would scream to anybody considering Straight Talk to RUN! Worst experience I have ever had. I just want my money back. This is no different than theft.
Cellular data not working
I have been trying to trouble shoot my phone with you all since 11/12/2020. My phone number is [protected].
Phone IMEI-353070103503468
SIM #1 Purchased-89148000003653397591 11/12/20
SIM #2 Purchased-89014104272904538159 11/16/20
For the last month, I've had to purchase ADDITIONAL high-speed data in order to utilize any functions on the phone that require internet. I've been a customer for over 6 years with the same phone number and this has never happened. My speed would slow down but never go completely off. I would still be able to send text messages and use basic functions like checking the weather, without issue.
On Thursday, 11/12, my cellular data would not sync at all. I called your customer service team. and was transferred several times. There was a typhoon in the area of the support team so I went through 4 dropped calls that evening with no attempt of them trying call me back. I would have to start over each time. (I assume you guys do not notate the accounts.) After several hours troubleshooting with your technical team, it was finally "discovered" that I needed to replace my SIM card. Two years ago, I bought an iPhone XR directly from Apple. When I got the new phone, I simply placed my previous iPhone's SIM card into the new phone. A manager explained that was the cause of my internet issues. That evening, I got another SIM card and registered it to my phone account. The internet worked sufficiently for about 24hrs and then it stopped again.
On Saturday, 11/14 I got lost because my GPS was unable to connect to internet. I called you guys back and was told that you needed to reach out to the "carrier" and they later verified that everything was fine on their end. My call was disconnected without resolution by the agent.
Yesterday, I chatted with technical support to see if there was a different resolution and was advised that the new SIM card may have been faulty and to try a new one. Today, I registered the 3rd SIM card to my account and I still get the error "Cellular data not activated" when attempting to use a browser. When I try to use an app it says "No internet connection."
I can ONLY make calls. Text Messages only are received and sent when connected to WiFi (at home). When I am away from WiFi my phone has no functionality other than receiving calls. I've explained this several times to your management team and every time they run out of troubleshooting techniques, the call is mysteriously disconnected. I am beyond frustrated. I have another line tied to my account ([protected]). I placed that SIM card into my phone to determine if the internet would work, and it did. This let's me know that something on the company's end is still preventing my line ([protected]) from utilizing cellular data. Not the phone itself.
Straight Talk Landline Service
On Oct. 21st, I attempted to transfer my Verizon phone number to Straight Talk. For some reason, I was told that the number had not been released. I called Verizon back, and was told the number had been released. Checking back with Straight Talk, I was then told that the number had a "restriction" on it. Checking back with Verizon, there was no evidence of a restriction. Straight Talk seems to be giving the runaround, and that is disappointing.
Unlocking my phone
I was a straight talk customer since 2012. I purchased the unlimited talk, text, data.
It was $45... I've had no issues until september 2020. I've been a loyal customer. Automatically taken out of my bank acct. Since 2012. Received a message I had used all my data? So in 8 years, never went over my data! Bull crap!. I've purchased many phones over the years. They would not add data back after I asked. Now it's $55. Why was I never told or charged for unlimited data if my plan changed after all these years?
I need my phone unlocked! Now they say a year! Really? Contracts work both ways. I don't buy cards, my service has always been refilled automatically. I've never been told my service would end, my data would end. I've never gone over data in 8 years!
I'm very disappointed! Never had a problem with straight talk until now. I've changed carriers. I'm sure you don't care but loyalty means something to me.
I was a good customer for 8 years!
Now I have a new phone I can't use. I'm disabled due to cancer. I can't just buy phones. The phone they unlocked stopped working well, that's why I purchased the samsung s205dl. A20.
Please consider unlocking my phone!
A very disappointed former customer

Cellular plan
Hello, my name is Douglas Williams and I have been a straight talk customer for almost a year now. I have never had any problems with the service until the last couple of days. back on July 10 2020 I referred a friend to straight talk and received 5, 000 bonus points. I noticed in the disclaimer it did say 30 days up till 60 days the pints will remain pending untill they are available. A few days ago I contacted customer service on the toll free number 1877430CELL because my service end date was approaching 09/07/2020 and I wanted to use my pending points which after doing the math should have been available by 09/08/2020, the 60th day. I tried to explain my sistuatuon and the individual treated the situation as if it was a joke. I asked to be transferred and again that individual treated the situation like it was a joke as while and seemed to enjoy the fact that I was frustrated about the points. So I tried contacting customer service through the chat and they were a lot more professional. The rep basically told me I was going to have to wait untill the 8th and to give them a call so they could set my service up. I called The tolls free number on the 8th, my points were still in a pending status, and again did not receive any help with the situation. I tried contacting a rep through chat and they told me they did not have the tool to add the points to my account and that I had to call the tolls free number. I called the toll free number back and they told me there was nothing they could do. I told them about the rep that I was chatting with and how they said that there should be a tool to add my points. The rep on the phone admitted there was a tool but it wouldn't work for my particular account for whatever reason. I asked to speak with a manager by this time it was already 8:10 Pm pacific time and I new customer service was about to close so I was getting worries. the manager told me that according to her system my points would be available by 9:00 pm pacific time. it is now 9:30 pm and my points are still not available. I'm not sure what the issue is or why straight talk customer service enjoys treating there customers like this. All I want is the customer service that I deserve and is due to me from my phone company that I pay $55 a month to.
The brand new phone keep losing service
Less then a month ago I purchased a new straight talk phone. The brand new phone kept losing service (from full bars to no bars and drop a call) all while being in the same area. I have called and called customer service and told them of the issue I am having with my new phone. I have been a customer for 15+ years and they act like I am an idiot. The customer service sucks. They keep having me turn the phone off and back on and call a number which temporarily resets it but, usually within the hour the phone is messing up again. When I complain they say they can't service the phone unless it is currently messing up but, what am I supposed to call off of to let them know you don't have service? So they make it out that it is MY fault my phone doesn't work. One time the representative actually told me the problem was my new phone runs off of Verizon towers and there was no Verizon service in my service area! The phone I borrowed to contact her on WAS VERIZON! When I confronted her about the situation she hung up on me. I have called so many times trying to get help and no one will help with the situation. Needless to say, they have lost a long term customer!
Personal data access and service interruption
I've had straight talk for about 6 month and last night they assigned my number and whole account to someone else. My service became invalid and everything on my account was now available to another person including name, address, date of birth, security pin AND the answer to my security question! I also gained access to their same info trying to fix it. I spoke with so many people over hours on the phone. A "manager" said all he can do is update my info, proceeds to send me an email to my correct email address, with the other guy's info it it that my service went to! Wtf. I screenshotted all of it for evidence.
Trying to delete straight talk due to the fact I never purchased it!
I am now stuck in with straight talk, and I can not use any of me contacts on my lg trac phone! How do I get out of straight talk? This has really upset my day! I have been trying to get this deleted, and have talked to a straight talk representive 4 times! They are hard to under stand, and you can hardly hear them! I did tald to a gentleman who siad all reprensentives were busy and they would call me back in 2 minutes on my home phone, but never did! Why would any onw want such a service unledd it wa a scam. I have no idea how I got into the straight talk mess, and I just want to get me trac phone back to its usage. I am 77years old and don't understand some of this modern technolgy!
Please someone help me get this cleared up!
My straight talk service card
I recently purchased an unlocked phone from amazon, who stated in their ads that this phone would more than likely be compatable with straight talk. When I received my new unlocked phone, i was ready to activate it. I had my service card already purchased from walmart, my pen and paper. I made the call to customer service. The first day they tried to activate my unlocked phone the wanted the pin for my service card. They started service with this action apparently but we're not able to activate my phone. They recommended that I buy a att compatable sims card, which I did. Day two came after my new sims card came by mail. Still no one at customer service was able to activate my UNLOCKED phone. This went on for a few days then suddenly after trying another 45mins. The cs. Rep. Told me I would have to get another phone. Well I said I could return the phone but I was concerned about the $ 55 service card that I had purchased. At that point I was assured that my minutes would be safe that everything was documented and my minutes were safe. I returned the phone and found another phone that i knew was compatable. It took a couple of weeks to do this. When I called them back to have my service transferred to my new device everything went smooth and the phone worked great.everything was fine I thought. But I was wrong. It was 6/1/20 when I activated my new phone but my cut off date was scheduled for 6/14/20. They counted the activation as being started with the phone that i returned the one they could not activate. The UNLOCKED phone. Til the date my service was transferred to my new phone. In other words, well this is how I heard it anyway, that $50 You spent on your service card uhh. Well you can only have have of what the cards face value is. So sorry about your loss but it was activated and we couldn't and will not stop it. We can give you an extra 5 days on it and that's it. I ask him so I'm just out of half a month of service even though i havent used any of the time you have deducted from my service card? He said he was sorry but that was his final offer. I ask him to transfer me to his superviser and thats when he hung up on me. Now i ask anyone reading this...does this seem fair ? Can they be allowed to just stiff arm me out of my money like that? Well that's what they are attempting to do.
Sim card
I purchased a sim card from straight talk. I received it today and called straighttalk to activate it as I was asked to do. I gave the lady my IMIE number. I was later told that she assigned my sim card to the wrong IMIE number. I was told she put it on my old phone. I was then told I had to purchase a new sim because their worker made a mistake. I feel it is only fair that they should have to buy the new sim card that I now need since they made the mistake.
Completely cuts off data no 2g
Ok so every month I have to call several time to remind straight talk that 2g mean you have a connection. I use all my data every month so every month they shut down my high speed yet they say you have 2g data after the "unlimited" is out the issue is and why no one recalls that you can do every thing on 2g it just takes forever to download and buffers videos every thing eles like browsing ex looking up things should work just fine.strighttalk completely shut off internet connection untill I call about five times for my husband and my phone and get ride the they turn it on but it's still throttled can't we do something .i can't be alone you folks do know this right.
Straight talk
I've had 3 new phones in the last 3 months on straight talk, thinking that it was the issue. It's not, it's straight talk. This phone is a month old iPhone and for the last month, I only have service maybe 4 hours a day! I've called them min 25 times! I just of them $60 on 3/07/20 and for last 3 days my service sucks with only 4 hours of service! They are ripping people off!

Unlimited high speed data
I am changing to a different company because clearly the word unlimited means 60MG of data period. I have to put more money on my phone just to keep my data on and I want to sue Straight talk because the issue from the last class action lawsuit was not enough of a red flag for you to stop selling refill card that say unlimited everything when that's nothing but a all out lie. No where on the $90.00 or $55.00 card does it say anythin about only being 60 MB of high speed mobile data. And I hope to god the company goes under!
High speed data
I payed for Unlimited high speed mobile data and it got shut off because according to Straight talk that's only 60 MB of data. I had to pay more money to get my data turned back on and lose the remaining air time on my phone for the unlimited data I had already paid for. I'm not the only one who has been lied to about what Unlimited means by straight talk and until they are shut down they clearly have no reason to stop this.
I want my money back for the "unlimited data" that was only 60 MB of high speed data!
We want our money or data back
For over one year and 6 months my son and I have spent 1079.00 on 55 dollar unlimited data. I bought two within a two week period and every time we purchase the unlimited data they turn it off. So many times we could only make emergency calls. We have reported to bbb we have been more than patient with this company and they refuse to honor their commitment. We want our money or data back.
We have also bought 7 phones between us but after the 15 day period the phones mysteriously tear up. They have yet again throttled or capped our data and im fed up
Cell phone/mobile phone payments
Straighttalk has been double charging me every month for the past two years. When you call them they deny that it's happening but I have the proof in my bank account. Today I called my bank and put a stop payment on that charge and also filed a claim. Wells Fargo bank and the claim #[protected]. This is the second time I have dealt with this. I filed a claim last year and I was only able to get back three months worth of payments from Wells Fargo. Straighttalk does NOT admit they are doing this and it is rampant. They are preying on people like me who do not regularly check our accounts. I have a financial advisor now and I won't let this happen again but they owe me at least $691.
