Sunoco gas station did not pump my gas, swiped my credit card
Date: 10/21/2022; Time: 6:35pm to 6:50pm
Location: Sunoco gas station
96 Maple St (and on corner of Main St.)
South Bound Brook, NJ 08880
I travel 1 hour commute from work to home and yesterday, being a Friday, I had to get gas on my way home.
So I go to this Sunoco gas station, pull up to the pump. I first tell the attendant I want regular, give gimme my credit card, he swips it in and out, flips it upside-down and put the nozzle it.
Problem? After full up, he couldn't give me a recipient. I tell him to go to the booth. He comes back and says he don't know how as it's his first day. He calls his manager, then 5 minutes later, No receipt. I started the car and pull off. The gas needle NEVER moved! I drive around the block ans pull back into the gas station and tell him. He says he pumped the gas. His manager finally comes and he gives me a receipt, No gas! I go and leave out of disgused, only to find that th3 recipient was from the previously Customer that used a Discover card, which my card was not! #1 He swapped my card, #2 No gas,
#3 No receipt- wrong receipt and #4 I still have to fill up! I'm done with this gas station.
Desired outcome: To be compensated for half a tank of gas that I did not get.
Customer service
Had trouble in 2020 when I took a motorcycle trip from NJ to Ohio, Sunoco would deny my card for frequent use (refill every 150 miles). I traveled from NJ to Sturgis SD August 2022 i called Sunoco customer service and gave them the dates of travel, states i would be traveling and in great detail went over i would be traveling on a motorcycle and would be making frequent but small purchases. They froze my card after the 3rd use. Four calls to customer service, the last call taking an hour and I still couldn't use my card. My bill for this trip should be cut by at least 50%
Desired outcome: Reduce or refund my bill for this trip by at least 50 %
Sunoco Station Owner
Sunoco Station Owner of Street and York Road Warminster Pa in Bucks County Pa has been Notified many times to please keep his Sunoco Business clean.
He has been asked to REMOVE the GRIFiTTI Painted on the Pumps and still has not. His response was "Why they will do it again" . He has been asked many times to please keep up with cleaning up the landscape and not letting it get out of hand and over grown. He doesn't. Have asked to please do this because it makes the Warminster area where we live look like crap. His Station is a land mark for Warminster and should STAND OUT and LOOK BEAUTIFUL, clean and well kept at all times. NO GRAFiTTI! NO OVER GROWN SHRUBS
Desired outcome: Please clean up and remove Graffiti and keep it that way.
Fuel gas truck
Good afternoon, My name is Teresa C. Palmer and l live at 335 west of Berkley St. It leads to the expressway heading downtown in Philadelphia. On Tuesday of July 19, 22 at approximately 9:55am one of your vehicles traveling to get on the expressway ran over my recycle ben and smashed it and trash was everywhere. I know it was your vehicle because l have it on video. l have three cameras in front of my home. i have called the Corp number [protected] and everyone is giving me the run around. I feel that your company should replace my recycle ben as well as made an effort for the driver to help clean up. I will continue to send emails until l hear from someone in the company. l have tried to speak to someone and no one is able to help me. Well l am going to see what happens when l take it to the news and social media cause l have video to show and photos of the trash left in front of my home.
Thank you for no Help
Ms. Teresa C. Palmer
Desired outcome: refund for the recycle ben and a apology for your fuel vehicle running over and leaving a mess for me to clean up
Gas attendant
I told the attendant to put in 20 while I pulled a 20 out of a stack of money I had that he obviously saw and when the gas was done he told me 86 dollars I said I just wanted 20 he said no that I said fill it up them I asked him if they take debit because the cash I had on me was for a bill I was going to pay. He said the debit was down and I told him I dont have enough money for that thats why I only wanted 20. He told me that he saw I do have money, so I paid him and then he pointed his finger at me and told me to never try pullling that on him again and as I was pulling away I heard him complaining about me to other cars there. I was delibrately ripped of because he saw I had money to pay and I was accused of trying to rip him off. I obviously wont go there again and had to stop at the bank machine to withdraw more cash I needed because of him. It was Sunoco on Clarence st Port Colborne ontario.

Sales of spoiled dairy/ refrigerated products
Previously as many of us know, June 15th, After thousands of homes, gas stations, buisnesses, and street lights were affected by a recent rainstorm, power all over central Ohio was affected causing MANY of us to lose thousands of dollars due to A/C, and REFRIGERATED goods to spoil and curdle. This was previously reported as:
"About 169,000 Columbus-area residents were without power as of JUNE 15TH- Tuesday night, with restoration not expected until JUNE 17TH 11:59pm Thursday, according to AEP Ohio.
Wednesday's (JUNE 16TH) high forecast of 97 degrees surpasses a Columbus-area record set in 1897."
As of THURSDAY JUNE 23rd, 2022 a week following the outage, at 3:23 am, two of us, both adults entered and chose dairy products with okay expiration dates of June 30th, July 2nd, etc.
Each of the products we picked up of whole milk, 1% milk, strawberry milk, and chocolate milk (individuals/ approx. 20 oz bottles) we're THICK AND CURDLED.
On the 20th, and the 21st, we had purchased each a individual bottle of whole milk. Within hours on each of mentioned days, both of us experienced intense cramping - severe diarrhea - vomiting - stomach upset - and overall gastric unease.
On the 23rd of June, planming to purchase milk bottles, we approached the night cashier and asked if they had thrown away the perishable products during their electric outage they temporarily experienced as well. He responded that they did and I then told him what had happened to us after consuming the milk two times. I asked if he wanted me to throw it away and as I know they need to document what they toss, he said he would do it later and said to "PUT IT BACK".
I tossed it as far back in the fridge I could, but following us, a family came in shopping for milk as well. I told them to not buy the milk, specifically, what had happened, what was said between us and cashier. The cashier then tried to get my attention three times, knowing why, I ignored him- and he continues to tell the next costumers the milk is fine when they approached the checkout.
We then went through the fridge portion of the store noting that things like the orange juice, gallons of milk and other products were discolored, darkened, thickened, separated liquids, or rimmed by curdle, etc.
Each product was filled to full on each shelf- open and readily accessible for any costumer to purchase.
I visit this gas station frequently and have no other problems, the clerks are always cheerful and helpful, and are always stocked. This is my first run in with problems here.

An attendant at a New Jersey gas station.
Date 6/17/22: coming from New York City back home to VA.
On my way, going back home, I stopped at the Sunco at Carney Point NJ. I waited online to get gas and at first was not sure why we could not pump our own gas. Once we I and my finance drove up to the pump, we waited for a while for someone to service us and too asked if we can pump our gas. It was told it was illegal to do so in NJ. My Finance said OK and told the attendant #14 to pump only $35.00. He puts the gas on and walks away to service others. Around 30.00 we are looking to see if he was coming back to turn off the pump. The gas goes over 40, 50, 60. We are looking for him and he comes back around 70.00 and my fiancé is trying to get him to stop the pump. This man walks away again then comes back and I am yelling form the car asking why he is allowing the gas to continue to pump and incurring more than 35.00. He smirks and says, I did not hear you say 35.00. While we are talking, he still letting it run. until it gets to 89.00. I was so mad.
Desired outcome: An apology, I know I am not the only one he did this too. a refund. He should be fired. I know that is not going to happen.
Credit card customer service (or lack thereof)
Back in January I went online to pay my bill and noticed that there were no charges. I had been buying gas so there should be charges. I go on my phone app and notice that my sunoco card is no longer on it. I did not take it off. o I call customer service and ask for the card to be put back on. (did not have card number and online could only get 15 numbers. So I call your customer service line, and ask for my card to be put back on my phone app. "Sure no problem" I was told. Well my card did not get put back on the app, instead my card was canceled! I find it hard to understand how "put the card back on my app" can be interpreted as "Cancel my card" Since then I have called Multiple times and been told at least 4 or 5 times that my card is being sent out expedited delivery! I have also been told there is no expedited delivery and the card will take 10 to 15 days for me to get. I have been sent a txt twice with a code I had to read back so that my card could be sent out. I know these things take time but I figure 6 months is plenty of time. I think your customer service is just playing with me. I bet I am the big joke at the water cooler. "You won;t believe how stupid this customer is, been leading him along for 6 months and he still thinks we are going to help him! LOL!" When I ask online at sunoco.com who to complain to about customer service I am told to complain to I am told customer service! What a joke! I spoke to a supervisor and she hung up on me when I asked her with how I am being treated please tell my why I should keep buying sunoco gas not not switching to shell. She hung up over that! I did get an email from sunoco explaining that the customer service is not sunoco but someone else. BS! Sunoco selected city bank to handle the sunoco credit card because sunoco feels they will provide the level of service that sunoco stands for, and they do, they provide the worst service I have ever gotten in my 65 years of life! I drive a hemi magnum over 60 miles a day, and get around 14mpg. I am spending over $100 a week on gas. Right now I am buying from Shell. I have to go out of my way a couple miles, but since I don't have a sunoco card (never a missed or late payment and paid in full each month which is probably why I am being lied to and treated like crap because you don't make interest off me so who cares right?)
Well I was just told AGAIN that a card is being sent out. Not holding my breath, been lied to far too many times to take your word at anything.
Let's see if this complaint gets any attention. I sent an email to someone at sunoco (who told me to complain about customer service to customer service) and asked for help explaining I was getting nowhere. Guess what, that email was ignored, big surprise right!
Get on the stick and get me a damned card!
Tom Stark
Desired outcome: I want a damned card! You should also do something for me for all the crap you put me through, but something tells me you don't give a crap enough to do squat!
Everything
Treated unfairly at Sunoco in Philadelphia. I worked there for almost a year. I went in on my days off. I went in and helped my boss get rid of people stealing and bums he wanted me to beat up. I worked overnight with coworkers who were using drugs, sleeping and talking disrespectful to customers. They would disappear for hours. Not come in when they are suppose to. A coworker was chasing customers out of store with machete or bat. I was promised day time shifts and ended up with overnight shifts only. I have complained to the boss about all the bad things that went on and he never did anything. I have pictures on my phone. If needed please call me [protected]
Desired outcome: Someone needs to do something about it
sara jo stop and go sunoco Mansfield, PA.
Was using my Weis gas pts. for first time. 4-10-22 Went in to ask attendant how to do so. went out did everything correctly, was not working. Hit help button few minutes later it starts working. Then attendant comes out yanks my card out of the pump without saying anything. I told her it finally started pumping and asked why she was taking my card. Nothing. I finished, walked inside and asked for my card and asked why did you take my card ? She said because she thought I was not going to for my gas ? REALLY That is why I had my card in the gas pump calling her for help because it was not pumping? Then it starts pumping and my card was in the pump? 3rd time this has happened.
2nd time was in a school van. 2021 school year With the name of company on the side who bought several $1000.00 of gas in there monthly. I had a gas card they did not activate correctly. Was told to fill up first then come in and pay with it, Well they did not do the card right so it was short $. So she would not let me leave until I paid for it. I told her I could run over to my bank to withdraw cash and bring it right back because I needed to hurry needed to leave for van run. She would not let me leave! Thought I was going to steal the gas! this was the same person as 3rd time. Had to get ahold of owner they had to turn around from their run come back and pay her.
1rst time 2012 ? Owner came out screaming at me yelling are you gonna pay for that gas ! I was pumping gas on one side town police officer on other side we were talking. Both finished and kindly moved our vehicles to let others move up. Both got out of our vehicles to walk in and pay. ( before you could pay at pump ) and that is when she came screaming out the door at me. We both looked at her like she was nuts. Not a friendly place. Not sure why they think everyone is a thief? I know I have never stolen anything in my life! And I am a very well know business person in the area. And have told my story to friends only to find I am not the only one. I will be going elsewhere!
Employee
Hello, I went to the store at 1050pm on 4/26/22 and found the door to be locked which happens frequently with this specific employee. I waited patiently while he slowly moved about the store to rinse the coffee pots etc. He kept looking up at me while I waited outside the door. After almost 15 minutes he refused to open the door, picked up the phone and walked out of view. As I said this employee constantly locks the door for over 10 15 minutes at a time. I was quite confused by his strange behavior.
Gas
I went to the Sunoco gas station in Wallington, New Jersey on the corner of Locust and Wallington Ave. I ordered gas and the total was 15.00. I used my debit card and received a text message from my account balance that Sunoco was charged 76.00. That was the first time that happened to me so I decided to go back and speak to the man who served me the gas. I...

Ben & Jerry pricing
I stop in for a quick snack & grabbed some Ben & Jerry's& Hagen Dax. There were 2 signs one said 2 for $7.99 & the other said 2 for $9.99. I grabbed 4 expecting to pay $20 & grabbed some other things. I paid but as I was heading out the door I checked my receipt & saw I was charged 6.49 per pint. He was 5.49. I told cashier I was over charged he said no I wasn't. I checked signs & he said they were wrong. I told him if that is what they were advertising then that is what I should be charged & I want to speak to manager. The guy said he is the manager went to freezer pulled both the signs down. I told him what his did was wrong and he called me white trash & gave me 2 middle fingers. Im not going to lie I gave him a piece of my mind. I've been called a lot of things in my life but this is a first! Especially since I am a brown skin Hispanic female and it is disheartening that in today's racial climate he went right to race especially when it was apparent that his too was a minority (I believe he is of middle eastern descent). Date of incident 1/8/22 time 7:51 store 40134 TRN4469
Desired outcome: Training on culture sensitivity & customer service and a price adjustment

Greetings,
My recent visit today to fuel my vehicle I noticed the gas attendant rubbing my bank card against the pump which at the time didn't pay mind. Later that day I've noticed my bank car magnetic stripe rubbed off and now it's not functional for ATM withdraws and transactions that require the stripe. This has to be a chronic issue for this guy since it looked natural the way he was doing it and he didn't realized I've seen him. No employee should be able to damage customer's personal property.
Desired outcome: Form of punishment to employee
Sunoco Rewards card
Most of us are NOT receiving the 5 cent discount per gallon as stated in their brochures ... when you sall the credit card ## you get Citi Cards the administrator for the Sun oil co credit ... they are way off base and do NOT care about the consumers
Plain and simple you will Not always get the Discount you are prominesed even at billing as the brochure states
Time to change gsa vendors after 30 years
Desired outcome: discount the 5 cents on all sales internal not at the pump
cali plus pin
This is thee fourth time i paid for a vape pin and the pin turns out to be defective. I brought a pin from your Sunoco earlier this morning and of course it doesn't work. I spent $20 on a defective item, I'm so sick of this, this store is by my home and I'm already at work so I know they wont have the means to replace it later when there will be a different worker up front.
Desired outcome: A new vape pin or a gift card for the same amount
Refusal to let my special needs daughter go to the restroom
We used to live in the Birmingham area but now we live an hour and a 1/2 away. My daughter needed to go to the bathroom so my husband was going to get Gas while she was in the bathroom but his first priority was to get her to the bathroom.
She has weak muscles causing her to have a weak bladder so when she has to go, she has to go immediately.
On November 19, 2021 at 2:15 PM. My husband pulled into the Sunoco Station on Green Springs Hwy. He walked in and told the attendant that his daughter had to go to the Restroom. She told him that they didn't have a Restroom. He told her his daughter was Special Needs but she refused to let her go. He couldn't waste any time. He was focused on getting our daughter to the Restroom so he just left but he was infuriated because he knew they had restrooms. They went to the nearby, Kentucky Fried Chicken and she went there.
One of her Special Needs is emotional and she can't process very stressful situations. My husband called and told me she had been in the bathroom awhile and he was worried. A few minutes later, she called me from the bathroom. She was crying and obviously anxious and shaken up. She said her stomach was hurting and it felt like she was going to throw up. I tried to get her to calm down as much as I could. I called the Sunoco Headquarters and they didn't really do any thing.. He said he would take the info down and pass it to the manager at the Green Springs Store. I really wanted upper management to know. I told him that I would be waiting for a call back from the manager.. I have yet to receive that call.
Not only did the attendant at Green Springs do an inexcusable thing, she lost the company about 80.00, not to mention, future trips there that he may have made. My husband's tank wasn't all the way empty or it would have been 99.00 for gas.. The younger woman's actions at the Green Springs Store were inexcusable. She should be ashamed of herself. I pray to God that other people she meets has more compassion and mercy on her than she did my daughter.
Desired outcome: The young lady needs to apologize and actions need to be taken to make sure this doesn't happen again. I would hope re- training the attendant would be enough. The manager also needs to take accountability and call me.
