SunPower Residential Arrogance and dishonesty In April we replaced our 16-year-old solar array that was shaded by neighbor's trees with more efficient SunPower 370W panels. I read the advertising claims about the communications app and thought it would be useful for adjusting the time of use with our electric car and all-electric home. The new communication unit is PVS-6 replacing, according to the installer, *** Systems, the former poor PVS-5 unit. After a few months it was apparent that even the installer couldn't get useful data from the SunPower-modified Enphase inverters. I communicated with ***:SunPower is rebuilding our monitoring platform, which we originally built in ***. It has been a challenging update and I look forward to completing the project soon. SunPower is indeed releasing our residential battering in mid-2020. Monitoring is a critical piece of storage and therefore we are all working hard to solve this matter. Northern Pacific is visiting our engineering office this week and will be discussing some monitoring cases. ***, as always, thank you for your patience. *** Residential Manager: *** Coast In September we installed Tesla Powerwalls and with their communication system I could monitor the performance of our panels. On April 14 our power output suddenly dropped by 20%. And has never recovered. The power curve went from a bell-shaped curve with maximum output of about 6.5kW to a chopped top form with a maximum ever of 5.3kW. Four months have lapsed trying to get SunPower to address this loss of power. A Customer Ticket Case No. XXXXXXX was opened with *** Sibug as Manager. Three months elapsed with him not replying, even to the SunPower customer service reps when I'd call to learn the status. On July 14 he replied:Our Design Team and Engineering Team could not find any problem in the system. Both teams already checked for any possible errors or issues. One recommendation was to trim down the trees nearby, if not yet done. I'm sorry that our teams could not find any problem on your system. Let me know if you still have questions. Thanks!Contrary to this useless guess, the SunPower system was installed away from all shading. They seem to have not talked to the installer.Today, August 6. 2020, *** Systems is removing the SunPower-modified Enphase inverters and PVS-6 and installing un-corrupted Enphase inverters with Enphase communication. Through these four months SunPower has demonstrated arrogance and dishonesty as a company culture. The photovoltaics in their panels may be exemplary but their damaging the Enphase inverters for their private communication system is a disaster. *** Systems in the end seem to have fixed my system but why a reputable installer would market SunPower to a homeowner is a mystery. I imagine most homeowners assume their system is delivering the advertised power and, unless they have the Tesla software, are ignorant of SunPower's dishonesty.

SunPower Systems If you have the opportunity to purchase your solar panels from any other company, I would strongly suggest you do

If you have the opportunity to purchase your solar panels from any other company, I would strongly suggest you do. *** has been horrible to work with. They have awful customer service, you can never speak to a manager, your issue never gets resolved, and the app that they give you access to is a joke. We bought a brand-new home and purchased the solar panels which were already installed on the home. It is an 18 panel, 6.3kw system and we paid just under $30k for it. We reported a production problem with our new solar system on August 28 case #XXXXXXXX and *** unfortunately has not resolved our issue to this day. We have called on multiple occasions to try and get an update and we are told they are aware of the situation and will give us an update in *** days. When that *** days are up nobody follows up with you and when you try to contact them, they give you the same run around. We are aware of the situation and will be in touch with you in *** days. It is extremely frustrating. I have email and phone records from 8/28, 9/14, 9/15, 9/17, 9/21, 10/3 and our system is still not working. I have even emailed upper management and received no response. Do yourself a favor and do not buy solar panels from ***. They were very friendly during our orientation, but I guess since we own the system now, they don't care anymore. Before you buy from ***, you should know, the app they give you to monitor your system only allows you to see how many kW your system is producing. It will show you graphs on how much power was produced, how much was used and allow you to compare it to previous months. The app does not allow you to see the individual panels in your system. It does not give you the ability to see if all your panels are even powered on. The problem with that is that it does not alert you if there is a problem with your system. One or two of your panels could be down and yes, your system is still producing some energy but not as much as it should be. But you will not get a notification that there is a problem, so unless you are watching your app on a daily basis you may not notice something is wrong with your system. If your leasing your panels this may not be an issue for you because *** is responsible for maintaining your system but when you own your solar panels, it is your responsibility to monitor your system. However, *** does not give you the tools to do so. *** has a web-based site that will allow business owners (and local installers) to view their solar panel system however they do not offer it to home-owners. I have asked why but nobody has been able to give me a reason why. The web-based site allows you to view all the panels on the system to see if they are working correctly. Maybe I am being unreasonable but if you pay $30k for solar panels you should also be given the tools to monitor and maintain that system. To this day the production issue with my panels has not been resolved. Do yourself a favor and look for another company that does not walk away from their customers after they've spent $30k with them. You will save your self a lot of time on the phone.

So what I see a lot of written here is the initial interactions with *** I will admit, when everything is running smoothly, they are very helpful and solutions are easy and quick, however, I am a few years in and leaving this review. Before purchasing solar in 2013 I did a lot of looking into the questions, do I buy? or is leasing better? What kind of panels are out there? What are the benefits to these panels? Etc. There was actually so much out there I had my step-daughter help me out who pointed me to a great company. This company got me to purchase the *** models of solar panels talking about all the perks, etc. At the time, I believe I purchased the correct panel...however, in 2021 I feel as if there are far better options out there because you have to consider what they will do if anything goes wrong. I thought I purchased a panel with a solid warranty so I felt good. Not so much after recent events.I have had nothing but problems with my inverter for over a month (look up this kind of problem and you will see people still complaining 6 months into trying to fix their inverter issues). The inverter displays a "Disturbance AFCI" code and shuts off several times per day. For those who are still reading this, that is a code that says there is an arc in the electrical system so the system shuts down. They have replaced diodes (which over the last few years they realized these melt in the heat...did they tell a consumer? no, they just wait until you have an issue and then they replace them...not the kind of warranty service I would want to hear if it was my car and related to my brakes or engine). The have replaced wires. Yet it still has issues, and they still refuse to recognize what THEIR OWN TRAINED technicians recommend and what it also says over the internet...it is the inverter. They say their manuals (not the one I have) indicates the inverter temp will get in excess of 150 degrees. They say it is normal for the cooling fans to "not work during normal operation". They have said they only replace these inverters with refurbished because they are obsolete now. So, in less than 7 years I have an inverter that is obsolete, less than 3 years left on any warranty for it, and the best I will get is one that has broken down before and they say they have fixed it. Oh, and there are information around on that too...6 months seems to be the average a refurbished lasts. i have zero faith in my system continued performance and after spending over $30,000 and estimating it would take 7 years to pay myself back...I haven't even broke even buying solar before my system crashed. So, here I sit, waiting and waiting, no solar unless I want to burn my hand when I have to "knock" to reset the panel (reminder I said they said it is normal for the temp to get over 150 degrees on the inverter...but require a knock on the hot surface to reset your system. I have had to do up to 10 times per day). All I keep getting is, "well, this is the next step we have to try" and after waiting over a week each time to get a service team out here, within hours the system is back to dysfunctional. I have now had to cancel a vacation because of this system. My concern...people have even had these inverters "blow out"...and I don't know about you, but I don't want that happening when I am here, let alone out of town. So, in summation, you may like what you buy, but the quality after your purchase has left everything to be desired. I keep hoping the company will come thru, but it hasn't happened yet. Just trying to help those out there make an informed decision.

A little bit about me, My Name is *** I live in a small town in *** about an hour from ***. I'm a disabled Vet and like most of *** live on a tight budget. So, like most I am always looking for ways to stretch the almighty dollar. Realizing that my roof is in the right place to help me save a lot off my electric bill, I decided to put 42 solar panels on it.From solarpowerrocks.com: The average roof in the *** gets about 4 hours of sunlight a day, if each panel is 250w then it will produce ***w = 1kw. That means in a 4 hour period my system Should create 42kw. Which is a good figure considering it's the bottom number and that's 15,120kwh a year. And the best part is it will reduce my energy bills by over $2500 a year My relationship with *** in June it started out very well. I had been researching the benefits of solar for many years, before actually buying into it. I wanted to make sure the company I was going to invest in was the leader in the industry, had a better track record, had more experience, & most of all not in a current lawsuit. The salesman's name was ***, from Infinity Solar. He was extremely knowledgeable about the product he was selling and about the lease program. He stated: The feasible system entails 42 x 327 AC panels facing SE is projected to produce 16,600kwh annually based on our satellite imagery and the direction of the roof. With the monitoring system in place, If there is any is***s they will know before we will. I was sold, our biggest concern was our roof. That's one problem no homeowner wants to have to deal with. *** assured me of the roof warranty and the installers were all professionals & licensed contractors. The system was installed late September .Exhibit A (Limited Warranty) per ***s *** Guarantee and Limited Warranty part 2 sect iii Repair Promise:During the entire lease term, OPERATOR *** will honor the system warranty and will arrange to repair or replace any defective part, material or component or correct any defective workmanship, at no cost or expense to you. When you submit a valid claim to OPERATOR or lessor under this limited warranty (The Repair Promise). If OPERATOR or contractor retained by OPERATOR damages your home, your Belongings or your property, OPERATER will arrange to repair the damage caused or pay you for the damage caused subject to limitations of liabilities provided in section 6 of this limited warranty.Sect 6 WARRANTY: TO THE FULLEST EXTEND PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE SYSTEM IS WARRANTED SOLELY UNDER THE LIMITED WARRANTY ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT A, AND THAT THERE ARE NO OTHER REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHATABILITY, FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE, CONDITION, DESIGN, CAPACITY, SUITABILITY OR PERFORMANCE OF THE SYSTEM OR ITS INSTALLATION. YOU CONFIRM THAT WETHER THIS LEASE PRODUCES AN OVERALL ENERGY COST SAVINGS TO YOU DEPENDS ON CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OF OUR CONTROL AND THAT WE HAVE NOT PROMISED TO YOU THAT THIS LEASE WILL NOT RESULT IN AN OVERALL ENERGY SAVING TO YOU. YOU ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT THE LIMITED WARRANTY IS PROVIDED BY A THIRD PARTY AND WILL NOT AFFECT YOUR OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE *** During its installation my entire ridge cap was destroyed and never repaired. Never even reported, I didn't find out for 6 months. So when I called and reported it and they blamed it on a storm. There is a mesh like membrane under my caps and it has been there for 15 years never had an is***. Every house on my street has the same roof of the same age but have no panels. My roof is very steep and the only place to stand or sit would be on those caps. Therefor putting excess or too much weight on it or even dragging a rope or equipment over it will damage it. Also when the wind gets under the panels it creates a wind tunnel, ( Similar to a leaf blower) in high winds it will blow my caps right off the roof. It was My Plumbing Air Vent that gave it away, it was shifted and the boot was ripped. Water dripping in my kitchen, 2 bedrooms, & a hallway. That's when we discovered we had no ridge caps. I had to fix and pay for this damage not them. Now there's more damage because they finally came back 4 years later. Why do I have to keep fixing their damage? In the warranty and contract *** says they will cover any damage 3 inches in any direction from a fastener. And any damage they do to your roof in the process. They have not honored this to this day, Dec 26, 2020 I have Damage, I have video, and I have email from one of their managers, ***. That states: They don't have the knowledge to repair the problem. (Yet have the Knowledge to know they are destroying it). To top it off, they were just up there last month and it took them all month to replace my entire system, Due to system failure. It's taken 4 years to get them to acknowledge my system wasn't operating properly. *** guarantees their workers are knowledgeable of the roofs they're working on. But they are not. Most of them don't know the first thing about roofing. Out of the dozen or so people from *** that have been on my roof, only one had actual roofing experience. And every one of them walked all over my ridge caps & every one of them grabbed that air vent. Now *** wants me to hire a contractor, Pay for the damage, and then send them the bill with itemized deductions. And they will reimburse me. I'm sorry but no that's not in the contract... Then again this contract has already been broken since day 1. Lets move on to the Performance Guarantee. If the system fails to produce what its rated to do. They will send you a check at the end of the year for the difference. Mine is 16,600kwh annually. My first whole year of 2017 my system produced *** kwh. It may have produced it, But Because the system wasn't set up properly I didn't benefit from it. It actually hurt me because now I was paying $177 a month for a non working system. In fact I only saw 5 months of savings in the past *** yrs Believe me it doesn't offset how much I've lost on ***'s promises. Which currently stands at $7,965 that I've Paid. Plus Damage. They recently 11/12 finally paid me 3 years of production guarantee. I first notified *** in the summer of 2017 and told them the system didn't seem to be making an impact on my electric bill in fact I was now paying more for energy. Exactly the opposite of what I originally intended. They assured me I was producing electricity and I would get a check at the end of the year, A year went by and no check.. By the end of 2017, Central *** ( My ele. company) had billed me for ***kwh for the year $1101.49. I created ***kwh and paid $2124 for it. Where's my offset? Where's my $2500 savings where's my check? That's 24,139kwh total... Enough to run 3 homes. My inverters were no good, My monitoring system failed, the wiring failed, Everything but the panels failed so it was putting off false readings. I was Just informed XXXXXX by their tech. when the new monitoring system went in that all the wiring to the meter was wired completely wrong. And very little energy was moving into the grid and was surprised the system had ever worked. 2017 false reading produced ***kwh cost $2124 CenHud Billed ***kwh cost $1101 2018 false reading produced 12,309kwh cost $2124 CenHud Billed ***kwh cost $1593 2019 false reading produced 8,946kwh cost $2124 CenHud Billed 10,573kwh cost $1762 2020 false reading produced ***kwh cost $2109 CenHub Billed 16,074kwh cost $2580 45,764kwh? $8481 / 42,389kwh / $7036 = $15,517 I should of saved $11,326 or my meter should read ***. It does not... It currently reads ***. These readings began on the day the system was turned on it started at 0. In the beginning the meter moved backward then one day it didn't. it was very sporadic at first but I never saw maximum output. I had Central *** come out and prove to me that the meter will move backwards because I cant remember the last time I saw it. They brought a box the size of a briefcase with no wires hooked to it and pushed 2kwh into it showing me those numbers moving backwards. If my system was fully operational it would run two homes and at most have a hookup fee with the power company. *** panels will power a ***sf house. My house is ***sf and I have 42 panels. Every single bulb is led, normal electric appliances, central air runs maybe 4 months, oil furnace runs 4 months, HW heater, Pump, House 18 yrs old. A good friend has 2 houses right next to each other with no solar panels 2.2 miles away. Has a fully operational auto garage, a pool, a hot tub, cameras and spotlights everywhere. He pays less for electric than I do and supposedly I'm creating electricity. (ELECTRICITYLOCAL.COM) RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION IN ***: Averages 603kwh per month or ***kwh per yr which ranks 46th in the . This average monthly residential electricity consumption in *** is ***% less than the national average monthly consumption of 903kwh per month or *** per yr. AUG 2018 was the last time I spoke with *** I told them my system was dead they refused to believe me again I should of stopped paying at that point in time I don't know why I didn't. They again swept it under the rug with false guarantees and false checks. Then communications stopped completely for the next two years. Every time I called I'd spend an hour on hold only to get dropped for two years and then one day I got through. September I found out *** had Filed Bankruptcy and began restructuring their company. What about my contract and lease here I am still paying every single month for absolutely nothing. I recently stopped all payments from my bank and filed a claim on 45 payments. Im not paying anymore for a broken contract and damage to my home. It's gone on too long. After several hateful emails I finally got a crew to come out and look, 11/05 the day of my 25th wedding anniversary. They were hours late and it was two people. It took 8 people to install my system why in the world would *** only send ***? It took them an entire month to update the system. They had to replace everything but the panels and the frame. And they finally gave me 3 very disappointing checks. Nowhere near the amount I've lost.XXXX-XXXX $194.82 // XXXX-XXXX $794.90 // 2020 $1,393.05 Damage $0.00 The first Techs the sent out had absolutely no idea what they were doing. The first thing they did was replace my monitoring system and prepare the roof to be able to hang from it. Its very unnerving to be up there without a rope especially with *** mph gusts. Let alone at 30 deg going into winter. I honestly felt sorry for the crew members. At one point in time one of the crew members had hurt himself by falling out of the back of his van. They stood around for a while and did nothing then asked if we got it on our cameras. They fumbled around for about an hour before I told them to go to the *** It sent up red flags to me and I told him and his supervisor *** he was not getting back on my roof. The next crew that came back had to start all over because *** does not communicate very well with their techs or field teams. And again they destroyed my ridge caps which is currently leading to more damage because they wont uphold their warranty. The parts they carelessly dropped from the roof damaging are vehicles and items. The trash they left all over my yard, I'm still picking up pieces. The list goes on and on, I wont bore you with the details. From here on out its pretty much just over with *** I've been talking to people nation wide on FB about how this same exact situation has happened to them as well, So I know I'm not alone. If I still have your attention and You are researching solar. Stay away from SUN POW*** If you're a representative of SUN POWER you should quit your job because your hurting people. I'm going to send this letter to all 3 credit bureau's as my defense as well as my bank. I'm also in the process of making a you tube video where I will show all the boring details. I'm a Veteran I feel like SUN POWER has declared war against me... Prove me wrong, because at this point in time My main goal is to Hurt them like they've hurt me. Financially... If this review stops people from choosing SUN POWER as a solar provider then I've done my job and eventually the word will get to enough people to put SUN POWER out of business for good. I can't *** because it's a corporation not an entity. It's funny though, how they can *** me. I'm ready when they are. As for what I think SUN POWER can do to make up for this, I don't think at this point in time they can do anything for me. I've lost all faith in this company. The emotional and financial distress has been extremely overwhelming. In all my research I was horribly wrong. SUN POWER is the worst solar company on the planet.

SunPower Systems Case Number N

Case Number N. *** Case Number N. *** Case Number N. *** Case Number N. *** We have had issues with the inverter for our solar panel for more than one year. We opened 4 cases and the service has been terrible and nothing was fixed. On 12/13/2022, I opened a case and I was able to get a technician on 02/06/20023 from ***. After an evaluation from SunPower, the company is saying the problem in the inverter needs to be replaced, however, SunPower does not want to give us any credit for their wrongdoing. According to them, it is not under warranty and it is our problem. If SunPower had decent services and did not close the cases until calls were returned to fix the issues, the inverter maybe was been in a repair condition. This is NOT acceptable. Now, I have a system that is useless due to the incompetence of SunPower.

I have been having difficulties resolving repairs and getting compensation for extended loss of power generation since late June; on-going into 2023. I wish to have you inquire and go to bat for me to apply pressure with end gaol to fix our solar system and get compensation for lost power; we at this point have outlaid $1600 in Oct 2022 (true-up date - 2021 true-up was $324, 2020 was $178). I also expect a large true-up in Oct 2023 based on $600 *** bill, Dec $800 power bill, and *** estimated $800 power bill; we will not be able to makeup this lost power generation through the summer. SunPower has failed to address; copied on this email. I also have presented the case story below, and several email correspondences tracking this case.

Since 2022, our solar panels have been down and weve yet to have a technician come out to resolve the issue. Weve been given the run around and ended up paying over $1,800 to SoCal *** despite having 24 solar panels, 12 of which are directly from SunPower. We have put in a request for a refund and they did confirm that our panels have not been working. They have said that they cannot issue a refund until a technician comes out to resolve the issue, but that has yet to happen. We are wanting a full refund from our end of year *** as well as for payments made for months that our systems have been down.

Since last year 2022, my solar has not been producing. Sunpower has the ability to monitor and advise me that the system is down, did they? NO. I started receiving electric bills in addition to my monthly Sunpower account is how I found out. I contact the company that installed the system and they have been great however they are getting the run around from Sunpower. Currently I have a lease system and its covered for 20 years under their warranty, however now there saying the system is out of warranty.Maybe you can help, as of now I wouldnt recommend this company and Im sure *** CEO doesnt know how poor his company reputation is.

I purchased a SunPower system in July for $24,231 which included a 25 yr warranty. In June 2022 my system stopped working. They did not notify per their monitoring program. I was only alerted when I received a $500 Bill from SCE. I opened a case (#***) on Sept 9, 2022. SunPower determined my monitor panel need to be replaced. Their contractor, NovaSource set up and cancelled 3 appointments. One in 11/22, 12/22 & 1/23. Both *** will not put me in touch with a supervisor. I sent a demand email on 1/23/23 to have a supervisor contact me to complete the repair. I have not heard from anyone. When the system was working my electrical bills were $12/month. They are now $250 - $500/month. SunPower threatened to cancel my warranty if I use another contractor. If the repair can not be made in a timely manner I would like a full refund and reimbursement for electrical bills.

I noticed my Solar system had *** lights with error messages and wasn't communicating for over 6 months. I finally got around to making the call to SunPower to troubleshoot. A technician ended up needing to be sent out after waiting weeks for him to arrive which resulted in needing a new inverter which was still under warranty. I was initially told they would order one and would call me back to reschedule the appointment within a few weeks and I heard nothing. Ive called at-least a half dozen times since then to obtain a status and each time I get told by the agent that theyll follow up with the manufacturer and that theres a supply shortage on the inverters. Meanwhile, my PG&E *** has been steadily increasing. Its unfair that weve invested sooo much money on this solution only to have it not work. With every day that goes by is more money out of my pocket. Help! Case#

A representative of sunpower contacted me about a promotion to payoff the balance of my 0% loan in exchange for a $15,000 rebate which I was told I would receive in the mail within 2-4 weeks of my paying the loan balance. It is nearly 7 weeks since sunpower was paid and I have not been reimbursed. I have contacted sunpower via email and the phone multiple times. I have been told I would receive an email with tracking information for the check that was supposedly issued. I did not. I was told someone would get back to me with an update multiple times. Nobody contacted me aside from one apologetic email claiming the email telling me payment would be issued actually was sent to the sender and not me and including a copy of the original email.

SunPower Systems We have a solar lease and our solar has been out since June 7th

We have a solar lease and our solar has been out since June 7th. I have extremely severe asthma and need medical equipment day and night as well as the a/c on constantly.I have contacted SunPower by email probably at least 20 times and have phoned probably 30 times and am left on hold an hour and a half each time. At one point, I got a hold of a person who sent me to a woman named *** who referred me to "escalations." The person in escalations, ***, tells me that even though they've had the part for weeks to repair my solar, I have to wait for someone to schedule to repair it. Nobody is contacting me to schedule it, nobody will give me the contact info for the person so that I can call them to schedule it, *** does not return calls or emails. I continue to try to get through to SunPower and they ignore all attempts at communication. In addition to leaving voice mails, and emails, I have left messages on their *** page, comments on their You Tube Channel, I have used their chat on their website, etc. I have literally exhausted all avenues. SunPower Systems I'm in a long-term Solar Panel lease agreement with SUNPOWER

I'm in a long-term Solar Panel lease agreement with SUNPOWER. SUNPOWER receives automatic payment from my checking account each month. I made and early payment on 03-03-2022 for the month of March 2022.On 03-15-2022 an overpayment was made by automatic withdrawal from my checking account copy attached. On 03-23-2023 as a result of the overpayment my bank agreed that payment had already been made on 03-03-2022 and returned the 03-15-2022 payment made to my account. Attached is a letter from my bank confirming that the payment was made in error to SunPower. I have contacted Sunpower on several occasions and they refused to resolve this matter for some strange and unknown reason. On 04-03-2022 I received a 30-day late payment invoice for the month of March 2022. The invoice indicated the last payment received was on 02-15-2022 copy attached. According to my account payment history indicates a payment was made on 03-03-2022 copy attached. In spite on the facts and evidence in supporting my claim SunPower continue to refuse to adjust the account status and remove the 30-day late payment from my account. I appreciate your help in resolving this matter.

SunPower Systems My solar installation stopped producing power in April

My solar installation stopped producing power in April. I didn't notice this in the status app until June (I don't always check it every month). At that time SunPower said it was a known issue.First complaint: If they knew it was broken and they immediately knew the issues, why did they wait for me to call? They sent a tech who changed some parts. Now the system itself says it is generating power but not sending it back to grid. The SunPower monitoring says a component is having problems. They say that "a work order for a return visit has been sent to our *** We will work with them to schedule an appointment and continue to monitor the progress of this case until the issue is resolved". This was almost 2 months ago. They have stopped responding to email and their support phone line is a 30+ minute wait.My solar system, which cost tens of thousands of dollars is being held hostage. I can not get them to respond. It has been down ALL SUMMER (peak solar months) so my annual true-up power bill will be very large. The last response was 9/7 - 5 months AFTER it failed and more than a month after they failed to fix it the first time. No response since then (now 9/29), despite repeated emails from me.

SunPower Systems On August 20,2022, a high-pressure water distribution main essentially exploded in front of my house

On August 20,2022, a high-pressure water distribution main essentially exploded in front of my house. The water main shot a stream on water on my property for approximately *** addition to the enormous amount of water that was expelled, asphalt gravel and other debris from the hole in the street landed on ***, lawns (front yard and backyard), driveway, porch, and side yard. This included the solar panels on ***. On August 31, I had the original solar installer inspect my panels and he indicated about 10 to 12 were damaged. (He was unsure exactly how many were damaged because the panels were dirty.) On September 1, I had the solar panels cleaned and the roof cleared of the gravel and rocks. My solar installer then filed a claim on my behalf with SunPower. On September 22, I received an email from SunPower Customer Support stating an on-site inspection was required. After many attempts to get a date for the inspection, SunPower arrived on October 26 and completed their inspection. They indicated *** about a month. This report is required by the insurance company for my claim. After 4 emails and 6 phone calls with Customer Support over the past two months, and I still have no report to give to the insurance company.

SunPower Systems SunPower sold and installed solar panels on my roof

SunPower sold and installed solar panels on my roof. They have worked well, except during this summer *** 2022). My average solar generation is about *** KwH per month. At the end of the month, I sell those SRECs to *** Exchange. However, the system stopped putting SRECs in my account from July 12 to August 31. During this time, their website stated that customers shouldn't worry, as they was a system issue, they were tracking all solar generation in the backend, and would add that "missed solar generation" when the system issues were resolved. The system issues were resolved in September, but there was no spike in my generation for September. See the logs below. May 2022: I see generation of *** KwH June 2022: I see generation of *** KwH July 2022: I see generation of only 568 KwH

Had to call back again got a different rep and got no were with her and asked to talk to a supervisor and was told that it could be up to 72 hrs for them to call back so they could look over the issue. (really!) Wrote a poor review on Trustpilot and had someone from the U.S. get hold of me, (*** Ph: ***) gave me his direct line and was told I could call to get updates. SunPower Systems For the past couple years my electric bill kept going up up and up and reported I lost communication with the app that show energy production

For the past couple years my electric bill kept going up up and up and reported I lost communication with the app that show energy production and made many attempts to get a technician out to fix the problems which took 3 months just to finally get a work order # between *** and sunpower both saying that the other would be responsible for creating the work order alone. Then when I finally got a work order # it took another month to get the technician out. Once he came and got communication back up and running the app showed that only half the panels or system was working or producing energy to the grid. Once they got that fixed I asked about reimbursement for the monthly lease payments for the months I paid more to the electric company because my panels were not producing. During this time I also inquired about purchasing a battery for my system that will help with the monthly costs as HELCO is double charging me first to store the energy produced by my panels to the grid then second charging me to when we use the energy. Sunpower told me the panels on my roof or system they installed and failed to let me know a battery was available for purchase is now obsolete meaning theres no batteries compatible with my system that I have. Also after more investigating into my panels I found between March - April 2022 the was no production recorded on my panels and made them aware of this and now this makes sense because this was the times I was trying to get a technician out here because of the increase in my electric bill. It was like I had no panels at all. They said dont worry we have a production guarantee program that every year they look at this annual report. They had the nerve to send me a false report for the above dates when I have the same report from the app. Please help me Im a disabled post transplant patient still in my battle, now this ?

The original complaint was filed with your *** Office: Complaint ID#: *** Business Name: SunPower Corporation Thank you for contacting Complaintsboard.com. Your complaint was received by Complaintsboard.com on January 10, 2023 and has been assigned case# ***in our files. However, I was notified that it was transferred to you as the company has moved into your region. I contacted your office twice and have not heard back. The matter is now partially resolved after 6 months of frustration. In 2017 a solar system was installed. It produced some but not optimal power for about 2 years and then nothing in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. My husband passed away in late 2018 and as I had not done the bills I did not realize the issue. My son in law identified this matter (***) and you have my permission to talk to hi. *** sub contracted to Energy Aid to fix the system. After months of limited contact and no follow up they installed new microinverters; however they only did 14 and not 15. Finally after months they came back to fix this. They also lost the PVS6 monitoring system but finally that was replaced. *** | Executive Escalations Specialist *** | office ***| *** was initially responsive but now he is not following through on finishing the resolution of the matter. He said after all was fixed, *** would offer fair compensation for the lack of power production from [protected]. He has stopped contact and the issue is still unresolved. Also, the monitoring system is still not showing the panel production which would allow me to monitor them. I am 85 and on a fixed income. This lack of production and now lack of follow through has been deeply distressing. Please assist me in getting *** to take the next step to solve this. Thanks so much.

SunPower Systems This business started the solar project on my houseback in March 2022

This business started the solar project on my houseback in March 2022. on the month May after the installation of all panels on the house and garage roofs the SunPower wasn't able to pass LA city inspection since the garage doesn't have permit. It has been converted to the *** without permission. No one from SunPower was able to answer on question why they started the project without getting all necessary permission before starting solar project. In August 2022 they came up with offer if they move all panels from garage to the mail house the city will give them permission to connect solar system to Department of water and Power. Even it will reduce the energy production I decided to move forward with offer. But after they moved panels from garage to main house anyway the city wasn't able to approve the project and still keep asking for garage permitting. They still weren't able to answer on the question why they attempt to transfer panels if eventually will not be able to get job done. Also, they dig a trench between garage and my house to lay an underground cable between this two budlings and all waters from rain (specially this year *** was raining a lot) because of damaged drain went under my house. Contractors who remove pavers and dig the trench never comeback to place paver and grass back as it was before they started. It has been a real mess for the last 11 months. I can't believe that this can happen in ***. People can't be so ignorant to others. I have many emails with excuses, but it is not helpful at all since no one reached out to resolve this matter. I have 2 kids who didn't play in the backyard for last 11 months because this people are greedy and incompetent. Also, the dust we have in the backyard because the ground is not covered with paver and grass make everything nasty. Please review my request and let me know what are my options . Thank you in advance.

SunPower Systems I signed documents with Sunpower October 20, *** my house

I signed documents with Sunpower October 20, *** my house. *** has a battery rebate program (***) that I qualify for and Sunpower started the process . The solar panel install date was scheduled for 11/10/22. The panels were installed on the roof, but no conduit runs from the roof to my power panel were installed. Then I was told the system would be completed 11/17 or 11/22. I got a confirmation email for a 11/21 install. Then I get an email from SCE *** saying my rebate application needed more information. I contacted Sunpower and they said they were on it (They did nothing, my application was and still is suspended). 11/21 a great crew of 3 guys, *** installed the 2 batteries and set up the new panel for my backup batteries. They did a great job. But a second crew came and started hacking conduit on the side of the house. I complained about the shoddy work and they left. I have pictures, the work was unacceptable, it blocked a window among other issues. I am still missing the connection from the roof panels to the main panel and a safety pole for the battery in the garage. A crew came back December 8 and did all the electrical work correctly. They called the city inspector and it passed. Great! Now all I need is the safety pole, PTO from SCE and the *** rebate. All I get is crickets from Sunpower. I checked the *** web site and discovered nothing has been done to answer a few simple questions for my application. This *** rebate is a lot of money and is the reason I bought batteries from Sunpower. I have been calling once a week to the sales person and "project manager", neither will take my call. I have only been polite, and reasonable. I email about twice a week and get the "I'll get you an answer next week", and I don't. If they don't complete the job this year I don't get the tax savings this year. And if they s*** up the *** rebate, that will cost me real money.
