Unprofesional and their repair work isn't warrantied
Unprofesional and their repair work isn't warrantied. After somethin' breaks, if ya want 'em to come and see if it was their fault, they gonna charge ya $100 for the call out fee, and of course, it ain't their fault.
Everyone at Superior Garage Door was so chill, from the peeps in the office to the dude fixing my garage door
Everyone at Superior Garage Door was so chill, from the peeps in the office to the dude fixing my garage door. They were total pros. Now I don't gotta stress about my garage door no more, and I wouldn't go to anyone else but these dudes for this kinda job.
This was one of the best experiences I've ever had
This was one of the best experiences I've ever had. The technition came to my house. He was really smart about the product, he did everything right and explained everything to me. He made sure I understood everything and made sure everything worked. He set up both cars to open the garage door from the car. I'm really happy.
These guys are definitely the pros when it comes to garage doors
These guys are definitely the pros when it comes to garage doors. My mom had a garage emergency. I know, first world problem, but it was polar vortex and she has cats. She also has kids but we are grown, so kids weren't a factor. So when her garage door was stuck in the position "half way down", she called me and I called superior garage door I checked online for techs in her area, and these guys were not only first to respond but also the best priced. Our tech came to Mom's house work an hour and took care of the issue on the spot. Take that, polar vortex. I highly recommend.
We had a spring break on our double garage door and called Superior Garage Door (SGD) to come out and replace both springs
We had a spring break on our double garage door and called Superior Garage Door (SGD) to come out and replace both springs. They came out and replaced both springs in about a half hour and charged us $799. I have called around to other garage door companies and most are in the $350 range for both springs including labor. I called SGD back asking if we were charged incorrectly and they stated that they purchase different springs and cannot compare to other companies. Shame on us for not getting an upfront quote but we also needed to get the door fixed. I still cannot understand how we were charged so much and will definitely not use SGC nor recommend using SGC to others I connect with.
They don't fully answer your question on the prices when asked
They don't fully answer your question on the prices when asked. They didn't come at the scheduled time until we called and checked the status - he was "at lunch and didn't see the order." They didn't call before coming like they said - just showed up. The tech said other things needed to be done, but he could do them on the side. When I called to report this, they told me they can come and break my door if that's what I want, among other things. They did say that if I left any review, their lawyer would contact me for slander and that they could understand what I really wanted, a free job, even though that wasn't true. They said they have the LLC and the ComplaintsBoard.com on their side. Also, they said they would refund the difference of a rate from a crashed door rate, and they changed the amount to be refunded from $70 to $80 in the conversation - so what are the actual prices? They weren't even worried about the under the table work the tech wanted to do.
I called to have a new garage door opener installed, he gave me a quote of 1000.00, I told the tech
I called to have a new garage door opener installed, he gave me a quote of 1000.00, I told the tech. that I've never paid that much for the service I requested. The Tech. said, "I'll do it for 900.00, needless to say, I told him that was way too much. He then said, "Ok, I'll do it for 800.00 and I'll even throw in a tune-up on your garage door." I declined the service. I started receiving calls from Superior Garage Door for the next 2 days. I called the woman back and told her that he wanted 1000.00, she said, "There must be a mistake." I told her that the Tech. was clear on what I wanted and he even came into the garage to get the estimate. She told me she would inform the manager and get back to me, she never did. This company is unethical and they scam people out of a lot of money if their not well informed. I purchased a garage door opener from Menards for 175.00, called one of the best... PDQ Garage Door they came out and installed it for 175.00. Shame on you Superior Garage Door, I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone EVER doing business with this company! :(
We hired Superior Garage Door to service cables and realign the door
We hired Superior Garage Door to service cables and realign the door. The work they did was good. The technician told us it would be expensive ($300) for labor as it was a dangerous task. We gave him the ok. It took him about an hour to complete his work. Our issue came with the payment. I was on the phone at the time so the repairman gave her the bill. She offered to pay with a check and he informed her she could pay with a car. The payment app he was using asked for a tip. Unfortunately, she gave him a $54 tip. When she came in she asked me if it was odd that they asked for a tip and I said yes. I immediately called (the technician drove away as I was on the phone) and told the company I did not want to pay the tip. I wanted my money back. The customer service person told me she would talk to her manager and the technician and have them get back to me. This was on a Thursday. I did not hear back from them. I call Monday morning and Monday evening and was told the same thing, that they (spoke with two people) would have a manager get back to me. I heard nothing and called again on Wednesday and was told they could do nothing and that I would have to talk to the manager or technician. I have heard nothing. I will never use this company again.
On 12/17, a guy came to my crib when I called 'em 'cause my garage door was busted
On 12/17, a guy came to my crib when I called 'em 'cause my garage door was busted. He quickly said the spring was kaput and needed to be replaced (apparently it was gonna break soon). He gave me a rundown of the costs for the spring, rope, bracket, and installation fee... I told him I could only afford the cheapest option. *My bad for not checkin' the online estimate for the total cost. I was busy with work, so I only called one place, Local Garage Door Repair, and they hooked me up with Superior Garage Door, Eden ***. He hit me with a price of $1,290. I told him that's like puttin' in a whole new garage door, and I couldn't pay that much. He responded, sayin' he already told me the price and I agreed. Then he came inside my house through the garage and kept talkin'. My neighbor was in my kitchen and she said he didn't give me a written estimate. She's more of a visual person, bein' from another country and all. Finally, he said he talked to his manager and I could pay $800. He'd email me the invoice details. I was in a situation where I didn't want him stayin' in my house and yellin' at me and my neighbor. I wanted him gone right away. I gave him my credit card and left. He didn't send the invoice by email, so I called the local garage door company that referred me to Superior Garage Door. I called 'em twice and finally they sent me the invoice. I felt humiliated by how he ripped me off with the high price. Takin' advantage of a woman bein' alone and makin' her pay more, it's not cool. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone for garage door repairs or new installations.

I ordered a new garage door from Superior Garage Door Repair on April 16th
I ordered a new garage door from Superior Garage Door Repair on April 16th. I gave them a $1,000 deposit by check, which they cashed. They said the door would be delivered and installed in 8-10 weeks. It's been five months now, and I've made so many phone calls, but they always give me the runaround. They keep lying to me. They never call back when they say they will. It's the end of November, and we still don't have a door. We can't start our deck tear down and new patio because we need the new garage door first. I asked for my money back, but they keep delaying and telling me it's in the accountant's hands. They won't let me talk to the accountant or give me their name. I just want my $1,000 back so I can find a more trustworthy company to get a garage door from. Can you please help me?
I had lots of problems with my recent service from Superior Garage Door (SGD) - they didn't show up on the promised date, three times they
I had lots of problems with my recent service from Superior Garage Door (SGD) - they didn't show up on the promised date, three times they didn't call 20 minutes before arriving like the dispatcher said, it took three visits from their Service Techs to fully fix the issue (spring replacement), SGD charged me too much for tax, SGD didn't really give me the full "10% Off Your Next Service Call" discount, SGD didn't do a good inspection even though they said they did. I called SGD to get my money back for the tax overcharge. They said they'd look into it and get back to me (but they didn't). I had to call two more times to get the door readjusted after their first work. On the first callback, SGD said they would refund the tax overcharge. That was about 45 days ago, and I still haven't received a refund.
On Nov 24th, 2021, Superior Garage Door came to my house to fix my Garage door
On Nov 24th, 2021, Superior Garage Door came to my house to fix my Garage door. The technition idenified a broken sproket originally and quoted a price of around $400 to fix it. After starting work to fix the sproket he also idenified a number of other issues that he said needed to be done to fix the door and told me my door was a safety risk and could fall and injure someone of it was not fixed (replacing cables and rollers). The final bill to fix everything was over $1200 which I discovered later from others in my community was significantly higher than any other garage door company would have charged for the same repair. A few weeks later on 12/18 my garage door broke again. When I called the technition from Surperior to come fix it he explained to me it was a separate issue this time and that I would be charged again to have them come fix it again. I had been having issues with the garage door after the first repair and feel that the work they did the first time was faulty, and is what could have caused the door to break again the second time. I also feel that I was severly overcharged for the repair the first time. Lastly when I called to discuss the issue of being overpaid on Nov 24th the office said the manager would call me back, and I never received a call back.

On June 6, we called Superior Garage Door service to fix our garage door in a hurry
On June 6, we called Superior Garage Door service to fix our garage door in a hurry. But then, 'round June 17, I heard this weird "clunking" noise when the garage door went up. And then, a few days later, the garage door sensor stopped working, even though they were just a few months old. So, I called up Superior Garage Door to ask them to fix it properly this time, so the garage door wouldn't break again after just two weeks. They told me that the parts were under warranty (even though no new parts were used), but I'd have to pay $85.00 for labor. But then, they changed their tune and said I wouldn't be charged at all if they sent the same technician. I originally wanted a different technician, but to avoid the extra charge, I agreed to the same one who did the work before. They said the technician would come to my house between 5-7 pm on June 25. I rearranged my schedule to be available at that time. But as it got closer to 7 pm and no one showed up, and I didn't get any call or message about what was going on, I called the company. The person who answered the phone told me that the technician might be working at another place. I told them that it wouldn't work for him to show up after 7 pm without letting me know. But the person I was talking to didn't seem to care, was rude, and wouldn't give me her name. I asked to speak to the owner or manager, and she said she was the manager. I asked how I could take the call to the next level, but she didn't answer and just said the technician would call me, and then hung up. I called back a little later, asking where the company was located because I wanted to file a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. But she refused to tell me the location, only saying that the technician would call me, and then she hung up on me.
On August 30th, I got in touch with Superior Garage to fix my garage door
On August 30th, I got in touch with Superior Garage to fix my garage door. The guy named Tony came over and told me I needed a brand new garage door. I told him I had to talk to my husband about it, and Tony said I should go ahead and order the door, and if we changed our minds, we could cancel it later. So, I agreed and gave him my credit card. He charged a deposit of $1,175.00.
When my husband got home, he thought the cost was way too high, and we decided to find a cheaper solution. I immediately contacted Superior Garage to cancel the order. I called Tony and told him we wanted to cancel. He said I had to call the office to do that. He gave me a number to call, [protected]. I called the office and spoke to a guy who took my name and number. He said the ordering manager would call me the next day. But I didn't receive any call.
At 12:00 PM, I called again and told them I was waiting for a call about my order. I spoke to a lady named Cathy, and she said the ordering manager would call me within an hour. But once again, I didn't get a call back. Later that night, I called again and talked to Cathy. I explained that nobody had called me. She said sorry and promised to have the manager call me. I also made it clear that I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund.
Two days later, Cathy called me and said the technician had just placed the order, and the door had already been installed at my house. I was shocked and told her that couldn't be true because I wasn't home, and neither was anyone else. She said her technician claimed that my son let him in and said it was okay to install the door. I told Cathy that was impossible because my son is only 7 years old and he wasn't even home. She asked me to call her when I got home to confirm if the door had been installed.
I rushed home and found out that no garage door had been installed. I contacted Cathy again, and she apologized once more. She assured me that she would work on getting me a full refund and that she needed to find out where the technician had supposedly installed the door. But I still haven't received my refund yet.
