closing branch
I am extremely disappointed that "THE MOST CONVENIENT BANK" has chosen to close their New Boston NH branch.
It will be very inconvenient for anyone in town especially small businesses.
I guess this is what happens when a bank gets too large. They loose sight of their loyal customers daily banking needs.
As a small business owner I use this branch almost daily. This closing is much more than just an inconvenience. I will have to restructure my banking needs. TD bank may very well not be a part of these changes.
Sincerely
Steve Young / New Boston Hardware [protected]
fraud in my account
ON August 21, 2019 a series of 4 fraud transactions went through my account. 4 transactions of 10.00, 10.00, 15.00 and 20.00. Then on August 22, 2019 the transactions returned and I was charged 48.00, 48.00, 48.00 and 5.00. I covered these as i did not realize they were not mine. I called about all the NSF's and they reimbursed me 72.00 half of the NSF charges I did tell the lady on the phone that I did not know what they were for. On August 22 in the late evening another 2 went through for 10.00 and 5.00 and they charged me two NSF of 5.00 each.
Then on August 23, 2019 another 4 charges of 10.00 went through. I was wondering at this point if these were mine but that was the last I seen of these charges.
Then on September 16th I seen 10 more separate charges go through my account. I knew at this point that these were NOT my charges. I called the bank to notify them again and they said they would have to notify the fraud dept. I was told that they would re--imburse 60.00 of the charges and NONE of the NSF charges. They told me no NSF charges went through but yes they did. They told me that the charges were coming from a pokerstars account in my name. I checked with Pokerstars and there was only EVER one deposit and it was not from my bank account it was from a paysafe card for 30.00
I opened up a new account and am waiting till all my auto deposits go in that account to close the account. Now since yesterday they put a hold on the account again for the 2nd time. My money has gone in and i have no access to it. I have medical issues and this is causing me a great deal of undue stress. I should be given ALL the NSF's back for those transactions. I have been told i cannot have the NSF's back because i have been given NSF charges back before and i am at my limit.
attached is the copy of the transaction from Pokerstars account.

customer service
I have been a TD bank customer for over 15 years, personal checking and savings. I recently tried to contact customer service and not only are the phone menu options terribly limited but there is also a long wait. All I want is to speak with a human being with a few simple questions and it takes over 30 minutes of waiting and then I get so frustrated with the waiting at times and lack of service that I hang up.
Then I tried to call my branch directly and speak with the person I know by name. Forget it. All the branch numbers I called have the same terrible phone options. You cant speak with anyone at a branch unless you have a direct number or extension from them beforehand. Even with an extension, I only get voicemanil and no call back. Email responses sometimes take 1-2 days to get a response or sometimes none at all. TD Bank is a great bank - as long as you dont want any help.
letter in the mail
A letter was received to my 37 year old son (who doesn't live with us) from a Mr. Daniel Tiber from a Canada Trust. No address was only an email for me Tibor. The letter lists a deceased relative and a chance to claim 9.2 million dollars from his estate. To claim, contact this man through his personal email. The money would be split between my son and this Mr. Tiber. Really? I would hope no one falls for this spam/scam.
scam letter - michael burlington
This is a fake inheritance letter! My mother received this in the mail. We don't even have anyone in our family by that name! The person name usually wins with James and ends with a different last name. How they get your information I have no idea. Please shred it or delete it. Don't fall victims to these low life's. I would hate it if someone lost all their savings. I hope this helps.

Months ago I walked into a td bank branch and spoke with the assistant manager about opening a business account. I with td bank for years had a personal account for years at that point and thought it would be the best place to start. The banker asked several questions regarding my business, operations, revenue, employees and expectations. I explained that my biggest issue with my operations and been an ability to keep cash flowing to continue operations each week. She assured me the td bank would be a good fit for my small business needs, and I opened an account with her. After depositing my very first check that week, I had come to realize that all of the funds were frozen. It took me nearly a week for them to be released.in that time I decided to pay those that I owe to keep operations running smoothly. I paid the overdraft fees that I incurred. I made a decision based on my needs and take full responsibility for that decision. I should not have been put in the position to have to make hard choices like that while running my business and caring for a family and trying to provide opportunities to my employees so they can do the same. This became an ongoing thing with the td bank.
I would deposit funds each week, and each week those funds would be held as I still needed to disperse funds. I have had a at least half a dozen conversations with both td bank local branch bankers personally, and their customer service via telephone. I have spoken with the teller supervisor, the assistant branch manager (who opened my account full of empty promises), the the local td bank branch manager, and everyone in between on their customer service line. Eventually someone was able to shed light on what was going on and why. They said there was nothing the could do for me, it's all up to the "computer algorithms".
One of the bankers sat with me and reviewed all of my accounts and explained that because I have been depositing checks in large sums from different businesses into mine then the "computer algorithms" decided that I may be engaged in fraudulent activity. That is not the nature of my business. It is strictly business to business and all of my transactions come from other companies that my business contracts with. I made this abundantly clear to the td bank assistant manager who opened my account to begin with. I asked what could be done about the situation and was assured that it would be fine if I could deposit the checks in person and not at an atm. I explained how difficult it was for me to deposit a check during business hours because those are the hours my business runs, also the checks come in roughly the same time end of week each week. Despite this I decided it would cost less to shut down for an hour a week to deposit checks so that the funds wont be held again, instead of allowing them to be held and having to overdraft my account to pay others. This was a mistake.
All of the issues I had with getting my checks getting cleared continued to happen. I kept incurring fees because of this. I even wrote a check and deposited a check at the same time and the check written was immediately withdrawn, while the check deposited was held. This cause more fees. Over and over again this would happen and my business began to really get pinched by td bank practices. Each week I would deposit funds and each week I would disperse funds, and each week I would pay the fees, just to continue operations as normal, meanwhile my company was getting buried in fees, all because of "computer algorithms"
I live and work in the state of florida. We are currently in a state of emergency due to an historically large hurricane. I open my td bank mobile app and see a message about the hurricane that reads, "whatever (hurricane) dorian brings, we're ready to help." I look at my bank statement and see that once again I am in the negative. I decide to call td bank and ask for help. I realize that in the month of july alone, one month, I deposited exactly $7, 085.14 into my td business account, and paid exactly $1, 650.00 in fees. That is literally just a single month. Imagine having to run a business and having that many fees incurred because of unfair banking practices. Imagine how far that money could have gone if it were to help someone earn a decent waged for themselves part time.
I call the bank and ask them to reverse some of the fees so that I can get food and water to weather this storm. They reimbursed some of those fees and my account was then negative -$20.00. I explained to the banker that I needed help. I don't have enough supplies for me and my family to weather the storm. They said that was what they could do to help, based on the computer that told them what to do. I found no comfort in what they reimbursed, because all it meant was that if we died then we would just be unprepared and die slightly less broke. Meanwhile I have a check deposited in their system that has yet to clear because of the way they decide to operate. They then reimbursed some more funds and had my personal account $125 in the positive. I immediately withdrew the funds and got as many supplies as I could afford. This was a relief, but my family still needed so much more to prepare for the storm, as well as the families of those that rely on me.
I called and spoke with a banker in the td bank small business department and explained my situation as I had before. This time I felt they would be more sympathetic considering this is the account that currently has all of the funds tied up by with them and the account that I incur the most fees from. I had such an unpleasant interaction once my issue was escalated to management, that even as I type, it's hard to steady my hands. The manager for td bank small business department told me they would do nothing more based on the "computer algorithms", and when I expressed my disappointment in them having such a feel good online pr campaign saying, they were ready to help, and said I would share my own experiences with td bank online as well, she arrogantly dared me to share how they did reimburse me some of the fees that they unethically took from my company, while she sat safe and secure in her banker's phone room, and I sat looking at dark grey clouds. I shared with her that I found no comfort in dying less broke. I just wanted help, and she should not keep such a tone, because had the situation been reversed she may not show the restraint that I have shown her. She then calms down and becomes a little more human, and said that if I needed to make purchases for the next few days then td bank would reverse any overdraft charges incurred.
I immediately leave and find that almost every store is closed and boarded up for the hurricane. Fortunately I eventually find two gas stations that are still open. One had gas and very little supplies and the other had no empty pumps and lines of families filling up, but more supplies. I go in to get some items and my cards are declining. I use both my personal account and then my business account and neither would work. I called td bank customer service again and had them on the phone while I was in line holding everyone up as I tried both cards a second time. The banker suggested I try for less things. I tried every transaction amount down lower and lower and could not believe what was happening. The bank rejected every single transaction. The td banker suggested that the system error must be with the gas station, meanwhile every single person who swiped had no issue, and the cashier assured me the registers were humming along fine all day. I had to leave the store and drive home empty handed, despite assurance that I would at least be able to make some purchases. I still have a check deposited right now with td bank that has yet to clear in my account. Despite letting me overdraft $1, 650.00 in overdrafts in a month, which I paid. They said there is nothing a human can do for me this time for the $70 in purchases I needed to make, it's all computer algorithms.
I don't understand how all of a sudden after speaking with so many people and truly coming to td bank and so many bankers for help, so many times, and on so many levels for such an important reason, that I have to sit here in the storm hoping to at least have enough power to send this. I never asked for td bank to take a loss on me and my business. I asked td bank to take less of a gain, because as it stands, they have gained plenty of profit from my misery, both as in individual human being with many others who rely on me as an individual small business owner. I get why sometimes people feel businesses aren't run by human hands. It seems, as the td bank bankers tell me, it's all "computer algorithms". Shame on you td bank owners. Shame on your bankers you train to be so inhuman, and shame on the humans who built those computer algorithms, because I refused to blame a machine that is only doing what is was created to do. Maybe some of you should look to a higher power and determine what it was you were created to do in this world, because something is broken, and it's not the "computer algorithm".

service scam
I was phoned by a company saying they represented td bank. I decided to listen because they were affiliated with td bank. If I listened to the speel, they would give me a free credit rating. I had a month to respond to the security checks that they would do for me. I got a package in the mail in regards to my credit rating. It covered one company that I dealt with and included a bad reference from another company that I never dealt with.
They basically gave me a poor rating based on very little if anything.
Then in this package they had pages of literature that would take a lawyer a day to read. I skimmed a few pages and threw it into the recycle bin. I listened to this good talking woman out but I figured I was secure enough and I did not need this service. I gave absolutely no authorization to using the service. A month and a half later, I get a bill for $20.99 for services rendered. This came on my td visa rewards credit card.
How they got the card number had to be through td bank. This sum was never authorized by me. Totally fraudulent and a black eye to td bank.
I phoned "credit alert". I talked to this male and he would not listen to me. I told him I never wanted this service and he said I had the service
For a month. If I had the service, it is something I did not want or need. This is a scam and obviously I am not the only one to fall prey to this scheme. I am holding td bank responsible for this fraud as they gave out my card numbers. This transaction was dated august 23rd/2019.
fraud activity : account number ending in 8203
I'm writing this letter in response to the August 8th, 2019 letter that was sent to me and my mother about my Student Account with TD bank. The reason for my letter is to address the matter of the fraud based overdraft on the account which I had ending in 8203. On August 17th after getting a replacement card for the account so I can deposit $10 to pay for a course I took online. Later that night I got a text from the bank stating that a deposit was made on my account as well as an withdrawal since my mother and I share the account because it's a student account that was open when I was 16 I thought it was her deposit ( this happen before with her tax return) so I accepted.
On Friday of the same week my mother who checked my account weekly noticed the large withdrawal and deposit then contacted me which I responded that I thought it was her deposit. At that point I went looking for my card and was not able to find it. I'm a teenager and even though I'm being told regularly by my mother who was kind enough to open the account to try to teach me how to manage my money I lose my card regularly and leave at places. I have had the same pin for years and honestly I have not being as careful with it as I should. At this point I had an incident where I put in a situation and my car was used, I was so scared for my family because my friend said that the person who I might have took my car sold it to some bad people and they may get me. I told my mother we reported it to the police and then went into the bank with the report as well as called.
My mother and I was very surprised at the respond by your bank managers. The manager laughed in our face and said that a police report means nothing and we will still have to pay for someone committed fraud against my account. Was I wrong to not be more careful with my pin, yes, I know see what my mother lectured about trust no one with person information means. Yet still when my mother opened the account she made sure there was no checks or overdraft protection on the account so to make sure the account would be safe. We are both surprised that someone could deposit money of such a large amount into a student account and with no hold process like so many other banks do with draw the amount in large quantity. The account was not alerted of the issue until many transactions was done on the account.
The second surprising action was my mother asked the bank manager since she was also on the account and was held liable also why when such a large deposit and withdrawal was made a large bank like TD didn't contact her with concerns about the matter since I was 16 when the account was open. The manage also informed us that this scam or Fraud has being going on for a while now and explained what the people do and how they are able to take $1900 out of an account in one shot with in hours of a deposit. Since TD bank knows this Fraud has being going on why has there not being tighter deposit and withdrawal restriction put in place so that people will not be a victim and the bank will not be in debt. I know the Federal Law protects deposit so maybe TD doesn't feel that there should be more restrictions in place on account to prevent this type of Fraud from happening but a young person like myself who lost so much from this fraud and my mother and myself being told she has to pay this money back with me or she will be reported and not be able to open account or write a check. I only work a little part time job and just graduated from high school. My mother a single mother and a teacher doesn't have that kind of money. I made an error not being more careful and is now fearful of what other person info is out there stolen from me and filed a report to protect me and my family from who might have done this. Please understand and help so that we are not punished for scammers and my youthful naive issue.

claims department late letter overdraft fee
Today, I just got a letter from TD Bank that a $50 fraudulent charge I disputed was found to be a legitimate charge and that they are reversing the credit in my bank account. My account was at $3 before they did this. THE LETTER WAS DATED JULY 11th and I only received it TODAY! I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. The man who answered the phone (Jamal) acted like he couldn't be more bored and disinterested in my problem!
So, I'm out $82 and I WAS GIVEN NO WARNING so I could prepare for the reversal!
I DETEST this bank with a passion! Our local branch has decent people working there. But, the customer service phone line (national) is APPALLING! I'm on Disability and I am not able to go to another town to do my banking. TD Bank is the only bank in our town. I can't stand them. I'll be switching banks when I move out of this lousy area someday. I'm so sick of being treated like I don't matter by the corporate customer service! They don't even TRY to help you!
check cashing fee
I brought a check drawn on TD Bank to the Willingboro branch on Beverly Rancocas Road to be cashed. All throughout the 2018-2019 school year, I have an amount taken out of my check. I receive this amount at the end of the school year in a check. The check says summer pay on it. The teller I went to, Nikole, told me it was $7.00 to cash a check since I did not have an account with TD Bank. She claims she spoke to the head teller when she left the area but now I'm doubting it. Why would I be saving money all year to pay a fee for a check drawn on this bank and it stated summer pay?
I bet if it was drawn on Republic Bank they wouldn't charge a fee to cash their check!
online account payment plan is a scam. do not use
We have purchased items from Schneiderman's Furniture where they offer 24 month interest free finacing. We signed up. The first couple of months were fine. We use the My Online Account (TD Bank) websight to setup and pay on our accourt. The last two months that we set up payment they have not shown or payment and accessed us with 38.00 late payment charge. We called and disputed, after much descussion from rep we thought the problem was resolved and set up the next months payment ahead of time with the rep on the phone and were assured that it was good. Now we got the other overcharge with payment showing!
I am going to contact Schneiderman's and TD Bank to once again try again this resolved AND will no longer do business with either! I'm also going to find any web sight I can to warn others of this scam!
letter for inheritance scam
I received letter today in the mail from Mr. John Delon stating that I have a relative that passed away in 2009 and left a 9.3 million dollar bank account without any listed beneficiaries. As someone with my last name, Mr. Delon has reached out to me to that I might respond to "inherit" this money. His personal email is JDTD89@yandex.com.
I have seen that this is an ongoing scam and it needs to have a stop put to it.
The letter came with TD Canada Trust letterhead dated June 2, 2019. It states that if the funds are not claimed within 10 years of the persons death (2009) they will be reverted back to the bank.
What a coincidence!
I just got a letter from different 'bank rep" saying my relative died and I may be heir to $9.2M that has been sitting on deposit for 9 years. What are the chances?
Actually it's the same exact wording from a different division, a different bank rep and another version of logo and letter head. They didn't even bother to print it out with a color printer so the letter head logo is in gray scale.
There is no phone number or official email address with the TD website extension.
People please be really skeptical and less greedy when you get these letters. It will save you future strife.
scam
My bill was with Raymour and Flannigan. I paid it one day late and asked what I had to do to get the late fee removed, and a customer service agent stated that I had to pay the bill in full. So I paid the bill in full and a month later, I got a bill for 30 dollars of a late fee. I called the customer service and they stated that it was an error and that they would remove it. The next month, I get another bill with another late fee and when I called they transferred me. The representative stated that they removed the late fee, what they did not tell me was that they only removed one late fee. When I called the next time, Raymour and Flannigan stated that they could not touch the account, even though it was their error and the customer service with TD bank would not take off anything with the bill now at 130 dollars. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they stated that they would call me back. I never received a call, so a few days later I called back and the representative stated that the supervisor stated that since it was a customer service error and not a bank error, they were not waiving any late fees. They reported it to all three credit bureaus and ruined my credit. I would like this resolved immediately.

To whom it may concern:
I am customer with TD Bank. I have this email ([protected]@gmail.com) which is listed with TD Bank. As of February of 2019 I have received numerous emails notifying me about a special interest rate that TD Bank is offering to its customers whom received this email (Which I did). I did everything the email required in order to receive this special interest rate. The savings account was opened online, checking account was linked, the required amount of $20, 000.00 was deposited in the account, I was told to make 3 transactions within the account, which done. After doing all of this I am still not receiving the interest rate. Since April the opening of the account I can count on hand that I have been to over 10 different TD Bank branches in person, and not one of them is able to help me out. Complaint about TD HELOC, PO Box 8400, Lewiston, ME 04243
TD automatically drafts my HELOC regular payment each month on the due date. On multiple occasions I made an additional payment to my TD HELOC with clear instructions that it go toward principal reduction -- only to find out later that it was mischaracterized as a regular payment. I would guess this has happened at least ten times (that I am aware of). The local branch people are not the problem. In fact the branch employees have been very helpful when it comes to getting the payments recharacterized. I suspect the problem lies with the system/process, that this "mistake" is being made with other customer accounts, and that not all customers catch it (which means more interest/profits for TD). If in the future I am invited to participate in a class action lawsuit I will not be at all surprised.
bank account
Absolutely horrible. Closing my TD account because I was discriminated against in the Huntington NY branch for being gay. My fiancé and I walked into the branch with 15k in Checks for our wedding money to open a joint account. The reps had no clue what they were doing. They were clueless about even knowing how to open an account, which we should've just walked out at that point (I wish we had) We deposit the checks and a few days later find the main branch froze our account so we had no access to money. When we called she was horrendously rude and treated us like criminals. She was eluding to the fact that we're gay and "suspicious". We both work full time and are very successful so this was an absolute insult. We called the main headquarters and they advised we won't have access to OUR money for an "undisclosed time period". We both have accounts with other banks and have NEVER experienced this level of unprofessionalism, let alone right out discrimination. Not to mention The rep whom opened our account even spelled my fiancé's name wrong on the account(despite having the drivers license right in front of her). Luckily we caught it and advised her of it...yet to this day the name is still spelled wrong. Horrible expierence and still have yet to get access to our money...
