not releasing funds
I deposited thru Mobil app a personal check my husband wrote me on Jan 5. It still hasn't cleared and it's the 16th. The funds were released from my husband's bank (the issuer) yet TD rep from toll free number couldn't tell me what the hold up was. I was told it was a random hold to protect me. Plus I called 4 times and got different responses each time even being told it could be because of the issuing bank (my local branch) Then I was told there was an alert on it. No one could give me a straight answer. I've never heard of a check being held this long. It wasn't for millions, it was for $2500. And I received the notification letter only today that the check was being held. This is very poor business and I'm ready to close the account.

customer service
On Nov 11th I deposited a check in the amount of $11, 000 into my checking account. The day the check was to clear Nov 14th the bank chose to close my checking account and is now holding the amount of $10, 439.80 as a "cash item" and will not release my money to me. After a full day of phone calls and driving to locations the only thing I have been able to find out so far is that they are supposedly doing some sort of investigation, but they would not even tell me what they are supposedly investigating. I now have no account, no money, bills I need to pay, and the bank will do nothing.
Bank contacted me yesterday to let me know that they would release my funds to me today. Today they call me to let me know they will release my funds to me TOMORROW at a TOTALLY DIFFERENT LOCATION. These people have absolutely NO concern at all for ANYONE but themselves and their profits.
be aware of using low interest cash advance from the credit card
TD bank is nothing more than SCAM for someone who thinks this is great organization, this means for vulnerable people. First they advertise you can borrow from their credit card for a year for 0% interest. Than you discover this is 0% interest but you must pay upfront a fee of 3%. Well 3% for a year ( $300 for 10k ) is not bad. Than you used this card next month to buy services for $1, 500.00. Now you got yourself a nice surprise - and this is a PURE SCAM. If you pay in due time $1, 500.00 most of this amount will go towards 10k you borrowed for one year (paying upfront fee ) and lion portion of your $1, 500, 00 will be subject to 28% interest. Now if decide to pay off the whole amount than your 3% fee is actually OVER 30% - SO I WILL PAY OFF MY CARD AND PLACE PLASTIC WHERE IT BELONG TO THE GARBAGE BIN. THIS IS TD BANK? NO THIS IS A SCAM, BIG SCAM... I called the Bank and the treatment was arrogant like expected from the typical scammer. I was told that these terms are part of the agreement written somewhere ...most likely in small letters - very small letters for the reason small!
minimum payments get applied to the lowest apr, anything over goes towards the highest apr. you weren't scammed, you just didn't read. people who complain that they were scammed when in reality just failed to read their end of a contract are the worst.
Bank of America, several years ago, had a class-action lawsuit filed against them for almost identical practices when it comes to overdraft charges. I wonder has anyone reported them to ask that they be investigated?
customer service
The representative Raymond Macart or whatever his last name was so rude and didn't help solve my problem but instead blamed me and said how was it their fault. I then called back and talked to a lady Dasha who then solved my issue. I will no longer be banking with this horrible bank. They need to be shut down! Horrible customer service and they steal your money. I've never had a bank that charged so much. Three $35 fees in two days come on now. You guys won't get another dime from me
service
The bank compeletly sucks they charge you a 35.00 fee per transaction which is robbering the customer they refuse to refund the fees back how does a bank with such terrible customer service stay in business they have the nerve to charge me almost 300 in overdraft fees and refuse to help me I will close my account ASAP and will go to a bank that works for theirs customers not against them I recommend not using TD bank
horrible experience with branch manger
TD Bank has the worst customer service and efficiency I have ever encountered. Called customers service and they were no help they told me to go to the branch so I did.never in my life had the worst experience, Seem like the branch manger didnt want to help with my issue and said she only a covering manager seem like she dont even want to be there at all . Then why are you there to do your job doesn't matter if your covering or not you are in uniform working for TD bank
This branch is 314 grand street New York by 10013 do not go there! I still dont have an answer to my issue! Waste of my time going there!
security
I would like to submit a formal complaint about the security guard at the TD Bank in Newark on Mulberry street. This guard is suppose to be working and assuring that the building is safe and secure. Instead, he is taking pictures of female's backsides without their knowledge! This is absolutely unacceptable and inappropriate! The manager said she would look into it but did nothing!
customer service from the verification department in nj
Date of Incident: 9/17/2018
Time of Incident: Around 9:20am
I am a paralegal in CT. One of the Associates in this office is the Conservator of Estate of a client who cannot manage his own assets. It is the attorney/Conservator's duty to find any unknown assets that our client may have in the community. This office sent a letter to the local TD Bank for any account information. In response to our request we received a letter from the New Jersey verification department stating that they needed our client's death certificate. Our client is NOT deceased. Our letter clearly indicated that he was conserved. Every bank that I've worked with is familiar with the meaning of Conservatorship, it is my understanding that it is part of their training to be able to serve their customers (information provided from other clerks that I work with). When I called to clarify their mistake the clerk who picked up the phone, Ozzie Phiser, was extremely rude, extremely unprofessional. She raised her voice at me, admitted to be rude because according to her I was insulting her intelligence when all I was trying to do was explain that my client is not deceased and that the attorney from this office, the Conservator, had the authority to speak on our client's behalf. I even included the court documentation clearly giving the attorney the authorization she needed to obtain bank information. Ozzie kept confusing POA with Conservatorship. Ozzie should have never spoken to me the way she did, if she could not understand my request she should have reached out to her supervisor for help instead of disrespecting me. This is absolutely unacceptable. I will like for her supervisor, Tanya Jones, to speak to Ozzie Phiser about the way she should treat callers and give her a warning, and if needed send her to training to learn how to properly provide excellent customer service and to learn the difference between the different position of Trusts for authorization to release bank information.
missing wire transfer
I have been robbed by my own bank!
Chronology of event;
July 16, 2018 - initiated phone cross boarder banking by transferring fund from TD Canada to TD US account of amount $1, 377.
July 24, 2018 - made a phone call to followed it up as the fund did not come to my TD US account.
July 31, 2018 - another call made to follow-up until they advised me the option of cancelling the transfer and I agree with the cancellation.
August 6, 2018 - after so many phone tag and transferring to so many people and explaining my case hundred times finally ended up calling the branch in Toronto Eglinton Square at [protected] x248 (the branch manager). I tried to call that number either keep ringing or never reach the right person for 2 days of calling them.
August 15, 2018, I have finally started communicating with the branch manager who is poorly handling my case. She's been saying and promising that she's on top of the situation, escalating the case, talking to wire department to trace the money. Unfortunately until now, they do not know where the money is.
August 16, 28, Sep 4, Sep 7 - These are the follow up dates and phone calls (based on my recorded history on my phone calls from US to Canada)and my money still no where to be found or traced.
Sep 7, 2018 - went to US branch where the money originally send it to which is in West Palm Beach, discussed my case and even made a call themselves to the branch manager in Toronto at [protected] x248. They have discussed it and they are actually surprised about the process of transferring fund has to through Bank of America! This is so sad to learn as customer of TD's for 15 years that this thing happened. It seems they don't know what they are doing or no knowledge at all with the process in place. How will I trust them now? Why am I suffering for someone else mistake and no one is accepting it. I did my part as required and my money is missing just like that. It messed up all my scheduled payments and i have charges to my bills both sides of US and Canada. And because of this it also affect my credit history.
customer service
Everytime i come to the TD bank branch located in the bronx parkchester area the waiting time to see a representative is about 30 minutes to an hour and i hear many customer complaining about the same thing. Management is not doing their job to run this place better. This branch is the worst i have been to, two of my friends already close their account with TD bank and i will be the next one to go if things dont change, yes i can drive to anothet branch however this one is the one closest to my house..hopefully this matter is deal with soon or i will take my business to anothet bank..im getting a few millions from a settlement in 3 months hopefully you have resolve the issue with this location. Thank you
employee
There is an employee named May or April (Something involving a month She has a southern accent) I don't know how long shes been working the phone at your company and I know TD Bank is a respected bank. But this employee had the nerve to transfer my call to a dead line, claiming it was Recovery, it was not, I don't know if that is respected behavior but I do know that is very unprofessional, I do not understand why companies still hire people to do a job they are not capable of doing well, it doesn't make any sense that someone can be so ignorant.
check deposit
I would like to make a complaint with the Willow Grove Pa. Branch TD bank for being humiliated & embarrassed when rejected from depositing a check this afternoon (8/27/18) at approximately 1:30pm. After an over 25 minute wait in the drive through line for staff verification of a check that I received from Great Day Patio Enclosures (of whom I am employed as an electrical subcontractor with) . I was told by the teller, I'm assuming the assistant manager, as well as im assuming, the manager of that particular branch, that the numbers on the bottom of the check that i was attempting to deposit, were not correct . That the routing numbers and the account number were not on the check . I was told that the check (quote on quote) was not made right. Assuming that the staff was indicating that my check was fake/fraudulent (in which had me quite confused because this was the 2nd check that i have deposited into this bank) I tried to indicate that the check was mailed out to me from the corporate headquarters of the company that was printed at the top of the check (Great Day Patio Enclosures) but they still refused to allow me to deposit it. I held up the drive through traffic for over 25 minutes with my wife, 1 yr old son & 15 year old daughter completely humiliated, devastated, confused with the situation, felling like the local police would show up any second and try to arrest me for attempting check fraud, until I was finally giving the check back, with a few lollipops and an apology that they were not able to deposit it. As i tried my best to explain the situation to my 15 year old daughter as to why I was not able to deposit a check from my hard earned skilled/professional labor that I have dedicated a 40 hour week of my life into, I headed to another branch to attempt to deposit my check . After depositing my check successfully (with in less then a 5 min wait), although I was quite relieved that I was able to deposit, What the Willow Groove branch TD Bank almost had me to believe was a fraudulent check, I remained quite curious as to why wasn't I able to deposit my check into the Willow Grove Pa TD Bank branch, but I could deposit it into the Cheltenham Pa TD Bank branch . Not to sure, but in this particular situation, I kind of feel like i am a victim of racial profiling/ discrimination by the Willow Grove pa. branch TD bank. I am a business owner of a small contracting company out of Philadelphia pa., with a business checking account, , a personal checking/savings account, and a joint checking account with my wife, with TD bank for over 10 years. I am writing this complaint letter to express the fact that this 1 incident has made me feel as if my business is not needed, as well as in appreciated to this bank and I am not satisfied with the way i have been treated by the staff of the Willow Grove pa branch on mon - 8/27/18. at approximately 1:30pm.
online banking
I just opened an account in this branch on August 10, and in 1 week i had so many different troubles every single day! bank account
I opened an account with td for the 2nd time biggest mistake in my life. I opened the account on August 2 with $100.00. Later on that day I made a deposit of 3, 000. My family and I went to check into our hotel and card got declined. I called td and said because my account was new funds had to be verified (how do you verify cash deposit). I called the branch where I made the deposit and had to wait an additional 8 hours for funds to be available. It is August 4th and my family and I wanted to extend my stay card got declined again. I called and I was told my account was frozen and I can not speak to know one until Monday the 6th my family and I are currently sleeping in my car., I dont carry cash, and I am waiting for my card in the mail from my other bank because I lost that one. I have never in my life been so upset and feel like i being pranked. How can you freeze someone account without letting the person know that the account is being frozen. I spoke to some guy who was not raised properly. The person on the phone was so rude he said to me you, there is fraud activity on your account deal with it. I will be filing a police report for freezing my account and will be consulting in the lawyer. I have never been so humiliated in my life. Not to mention I had to sleep in my car. I hope that where this complaint go you see this and unfreeze my account . Despite every bad review on this bank I still chose to bank with TD and made the worst decision please look up reviews and complaint with this bank before opening an account they are horrible. Not to mention customer service is bad. I was on hold for 43 min and 30 seconds. RUNNNN from this bank. I have to wait until Monday to speak with a department called global security. I seen the reviews on that department as well. I am not the person to judge off reviews but this I wish I did...
worst bank ever

On 7/24/2018 at 6:00 pm, I noticed an unfamiliar charge on my bank account labeled authorized charge. I contacted TD banks customer service department for an explanation of the charge.
Reaching the call center in South Carolina, speaking to Ashely, who was so unhelpful and misleading in the information she was giving me that I requested to speak to a manager. I did not feel she understood the reason for my call nor did I feel she was reading the system correctly.
At this point she asked me "what part did I not understand'' needless to say I became upset and irritated at the way my call was being handled again requesting to speak to a manager. I was left on hold for over 20 minutes before I hung up.
I called back and spoke to Devon, in the same call center who was just as rude and unhelpful as the last person I spoke to if not worst. I could hear a female in the background laughing and making comments about me before he could place the call on mute. I again requested to speak to a manager at which point he just released my call.
I called a 3rd time speaking to Erica, in the same call center. She was even more rude, condescending, unprofessional and antagonizing. She was mocking me and speaking to me in a fetishes manner. I requested she give me the corporate office information to write them a letter. She refused indicating I had to speak to a manager and they would be the ones to give me that information. I was left on hold until I hung up after 35 minutes on hold. A manger never called me back regarding all the calls I made in just one hour.
I will be canceling my account tomorrow once my direct deposit hits my account and telling all my friends and family about the horrible experience I had with your bank.
I will be making my complaint public in Facebook to let all my followers know of my horrible experience.
I will be placing a complaint on every website possible to make people aware of the horrible and unprofessional manner in which they handle customer call.
In addition I will make sure that ALL my relatives and friends that have TD bank cancel their account taking their business to another bank. Word of mouth will make or break a business I will make sure of this.
This bank is the worst with all the hidden fees and now mislabeling charges enough is enough. I will make my complaint public to make sure this does not happen to anyone I know.
credit card dispute
On 6/15/2018 I filed a dispute and obtained a case number. It was apparent that the representative failed to document the facts accurately. I called on 6/17/2018 spoke to 3 departments squandered several hours told to call back. On 6/19/2018 I called spoke to 5 separate representatives all less informed then their predecessors and again several hours squandered and told escalation would call me. On 6/20/2018 Sharon from the Escalation Department called left a voicemail and no call back number or extension. It was apparent from her voicemail message that the facts were erroneous. This bank is awful. No one seems to know anything and reroutes you to another department and no valid answer is ever provided. I asked to file a Presidential Complaint but they would not transfer me there or even the Escalation Department where I could speak to the representatives that called.
Can anyone from TD Corporate please reach out and contact me to resolve this totally confused matter which is very important.
Totally disappointed and exhausted - can someone please contact me immediately. Hopefully it shall be someone on a Corporate Level or provide the number to call and file a Presidential Complaint please. Your representatives are not well versed in these matters and can not adequately respond to this matter.

online banking
For 4 days now your IT dept. has been unable to get me into my own account. l would like to buy some personal property in Puerto Rico. If this is not fixed as of today ( it has already been 4 days )I am going to begin billing TD for my loses due to your incompetence. How can such a huge corporation be so sloppy and ill trained? I have spoken to your IT people for hours over a simple password. I went to your local branch. How can your IT dept. exist, is it filled with high school drop outs?
