Terrible Service
1. I was not allowed to schedule an appointment without giving my debit card information, even though I have 'zero' co-pay. Teledoc is aware of this because I've used the system before.
2. I was actually charged for the virtual appointment, when there should have been No Charge.
3. The doctor I spoke to not only did NOT address my needs, but appeared to be disinterested in my concerns.
Recommendation: Sketchy billing practices. Impossible to speak with Customer Service or Billing. No response to email request for resolution.

Policy confusion or misinformation
My name is Jessica Hagar and I have HS and was seen by Teladoc for an outbreak in December 2023. I was prescribed an antibiotic and everything went smoothly and was fine. Fast forward to today, I am unable to get an appointment with my primary care physician and have another outbreak. I made an appointment with teledoc this morning and the Doctor advised...

Last night I called Teledoc for a simple thing. Cream for scabies. My husband and I have been caring for his mother as she is transitioning probably this week. I got on a video call with Dr. Jenell Decker on Nov 12 2023, 12:44 AM. She was not friendly at all. Usually you receive some sort of empathy but she clearly was bothered by the fact that my husband and I were sharing the cream he got from our doctor. We are married we share things. It felt as though she was judging me and it felt like discrimination. Granted she gave me the prescription so she did her job but I have never felt this way from a doctor in all the years I’ve been dealing with my HIV if that gives you an idea. I would like someone to review our video if it’s possible. Thank you
Claimed loss: Emotional trauma
Desired outcome: I would like this on the doctors records and to evaluate her other interactions
Teladoc visit and customer service
I scheduled a Teladoc visit virtually via telephone due to me testing positive for covid. The doctor was told I needed a doctor's note and did not provide me with one. I went through hoops and contacted customer service, where I spoke to "Michelle". Michelle refused to give me her last name for complaint and also refused to let me speak to a superior. I...

Teladoc mental health
For the last 2 months, I have been trying to book an appointment with a teladoc mental health professional to no avail. I make the appointment and the day of the appointment it is declined. I need to talk with my therapist but Customer Service teladoc is no help. Starting September 12, 2023, an appointment was made at 2pm and I was never connected. Again on...

Service
On 09/17/2023 at 5:58am I had a teledoc visit with a doctor for my son after being on the phone for 55 minutes being as every unnecessary question mixed in with standard information. A one time account was created. My son has insurance but I was instructed I had to pay$45.. I requested a doctors note during the visit. The username for the account was sent to my email account with no password. Teledoc wants me to pay $45. Again and schedule another visit to get a note and the visit summary. This is unfair, that I cannot get the doctors note requested or the summary, or acces the onetime account. They refused to contact the doctor. Refused to escalate to a supervisor. My options is to pay and schedule another visit.
Desired outcome: I want the doctor note that I requested.
Dermatology
I set up a dermatology apt. to have a prescription refilled for my daughter, specifically listing the medicine she had been on for the last 3 years, prescribed by our local dermatologist. I waited 24 hours, expecting a call, only to find that the visit had already been complete via email. I never spoke to anyone. I called and was told they could not prescribe the medication we requested, due to it being a “combined” medication. So instead of letting me know that he prescribed three different medications totaling $850, the closed was visit. I can not afford to pay that, and was only paying $50 for the med we specifically asked for. They refuse to refund my money for the appt where we had zero interaction with a human and were automatically prescribed a medication we did not ask for. Now I have to pay to go to another Dr and get the correct medication.
Desired outcome: Refund the money for the appointment
Same issue here. No treatment and no refund.
Teledoc is worthless. I requested a dermatology consult and provided pictures of my issue. The "doctor" emailed that he couldn't help me. I replied and he did call me. But he told me he wouldn't prescribe anything because "this is the United States and he doesn't want to get sued." I called Teledoc and asked for a refund but they said no. Their policy states that they have no obligation to provide any treatment service.
Customer service agent did not transfer me to her boss then hung the phone up
I called regarding a request i had out in a week ago. the agent (Rosie) could not comprehend my request. she kept giving me answers to everything other then what i asked for. i then requested to speak to the person she reports to and she told me that she reports to NO ONE. i asked several times to transfer me to her boss and she did not. after an hour of waiting the agent (Rosie) hung up the phone on me.

Prescription for medicine
The prescribed antibiotic did not work at all and after 5 days, I called teladoc to get another prescription for a different antibiotic. They told me I had to call on th 3rd dat to get something else and how would anyone know if a medication is working or not on the 3rd day? But I was not told that they claim this is their policy So, when I called on the 5th day I was told I had to pay for another consultation even though the symptoms from the first consultation were the same and did not change I was a simple sinus infection why I got a consultation.
I have never had to pay for a second consultation when I had a first one only for an exchange of medication with a regular doctor. If you think you save consulting teladoc, don't. It is not the case. Its in my opinion malpractice and a scam.
Desired outcome: Another antibiotic that works without an extra consult fee.
Teladoc
5/24/23 I was charged a $10 copay for the provider to do absolutely nothing except quote a policy at me. No service was provided. I contacted Teladoc to get a refund and they have steadfastly refused. Taking money for a service you don’t provide is theft. Additionally they denied me the ability to escalate my case. This company is unethical and is scamming people out of money.
Desired outcome: Refund
Teladoc health: putting patients health at risk
I was very sick Friday, May 4th, and had laryngitis. I called Teladoc Health for an appointment based on my insurance Florida Blue recommendation. I paid the $75.00 and made an appointment to speak with a healthcare provider at 9:30 pm. My voice was so bad I could barely speak with him. I put in my TelaHealth records that I have asthma. I requested a steroid pack, which is very common for laryngitis. In the past, I have been prescribed steroids, and they work right away for me. The provider thought I had a "common cold" and declined my request. He gave me a nose spray, a cough suppressant, and a mouth gargle solution that has been on backorder for months (clinicians should know if a product is not available for patients). My health declined into the night, so I filed a complaint with Teladoc. They replied via email and offered me a "free visit". On Saturday, May 6th at 6:30 am I called again for an appointment. I could barely speak and was suffering from a terrible sinus infection that included a thick yellow discharge. The 2nd physician declined my request for an antibiotic and steroid. Over the weekend, I suffered and got worse. I couldn’t speak at all, my sinus infection was terrible and I had pressure in my face along with infection. I am out of work and do not have the money to spend another $75.00 for a walk-in clinic or ED room over the weekend. On Monday, May 8th I had an appointment with my local PCP at 4:30 pm. He prescribed an antibiotic and steroid. I started to feel better immediately. Teladoc Health advertises "Expert Care”, “Primary care to become your healthiest self" and "Teladoc Health was founded on a simple yet revolutionary idea: that everyone should have access to the best healthcare anywhere in the world on their terms". I was treated with zero compassion, and because of my asthma condition, if not treated, sinus infections cause bronchitis which is very serious for me. The physicians did not take that into consideration. Teladoc Health has its physicians work fast to get off the phone and collect the money without asking the right questions to uncover the patient's needs and overall well-being. Based on my experience with Teladoc, I suffered for 3.5 days and still had to try and get a visit with my busy PCP office after the weekend.
Desired outcome: I’m requesting my payment of $75.00 be reimbursed. Thank you for your time.
dr. jesse castales lying about me
I was just trying to find help. Teladoc is not the one for me. Like I said in my post I was in the virtual waiting room Then the Dr.jesse castales cancel. I just received a phone call stating that Dr jesse castales said that I did not show up. If dr jesse castales could lie or something so small. what else is dr jesse castales capable. It make you think?
Desired outcome: I WHAT APOLOGY FROM DR. JESSE CASTALES FOR LYING ABOUT ME!
Terrible providers not held accountable.
Teladoc does not have a proper customer support system and no one is there to hold the provider accountable.
Last month my pet accidentally bit me, even his vaccinations are all up to date, I figured I get some antibiotics just to be safe. The provider didn’t even bother to look at the injury. Even I told him that I could show him he refused. He kept cutting me off when I tried to explain mine and my cat’s condition more. He insisted he can’t prescribe antibiotics without assessing the wound (irony) and told me to go to my PCP or ER. The entire session concluded in less than 5 minutes, he was rushing to end the call and didn’t even bother to care at all. I paid $55 (which does not counted into my deductible that I later found out) to get dismissed and received no treatment at all.
Scam rip off
I have been feeling like [censored] since Monday! My pcp they don't take walk-ins, their next appointment was until some time next week. My husband told me that he could take me to the urgent care, I refuse to go I just wanted to go home from work and lay down. I had 102 fever, sore throat ,chills HUGE headache, and some cough etc etc. So I got registered and everything. Dr calls me and I explained how I felt, she said well I don't think you have covid, by the symptoms you have a sinus infection. She said for me to follow with my pcp. I though she was going to call in an antibiotics for the infection. She didn't. She also gave me a work excuse from stay home for three days, she didn't even do that right. She put pt so and so needs to be off work for 3 days..my boss said they couldn't take that excuse because she didn't specify why I needed to be out...so I called back they told me they couldn't do anything about it..I feel like I paid $45 for her to tell me I have a sinus infection. No meds no nothing...I feel like this so called Dr's are fake, I think is just someone sitting behind a phone booth and tell patients bull shot...I paid $45 for her then she wanted me to follow up with my pcp another $45 that makes $90.. if you called your self a doctor if you telling me I have an infection, then why you are not giving me antibiotics? I think all those doctors are a big fake...I'm going to investigate that...I work for UT Physicians and I'm going to make sure I'll send an email to everyone telling them about what happened to me. So that way they don't fet their money stolen...I'm also sending an email to the main UTPhysians president to make it aware that Teladoc is a FAKE RIP OFF! So now I'm out of $45 no medicine feeling like [censored]...I'm so mad because now I need to keep taking the advil sinus medicine..if i would of know she was not giving me [censored], I would never have called...RIP OFF
Desired outcome: I need a refund so I can go my Pcp like she suggested. I don't make money that easy like her.. yall need to have people that speak English, the call center and the Dr herself where Indians ,I
Teladoc is a SCAM, I spoke with Jessica Anderson who I don’t believe is a real doctor, no MD after her name(?) she could not write RX for Latisse, not a narcotic, told me to go to primary care.
Waste of time and money! Useless! Never again!
Teledoc Doctor Tiziano Scarabelli
I scheduled a teledoc appointment today around 4pm. His first statement was to ask me what he could help me with. I explained that I had been battling a head cold or sinus infection for a week. He immediately informed me that he was a Covid Dr. And that Covid was a sinus infection. And asked me when my symptoms began and if I had been fatigued or had body aches at the beginning of when my symptoms began. I explained that I hadn’t. My symptoms was only congestion, a mild sore throat in the mornings and a cough, except for Sunday I ran a low grade temp. He acted like my symptoms from Sunday were unrelated cause it was just 2 days ago. He then asked if I wanted to start an antibiotic which I found strange because what dr ask a patient what they think their course of treatment should be. I said I would like one if he thought it would help or maybe a steroid. He then questioned me why I would want a steroid. I explained that that’s what I have been prescribed before for this kind of thing. He then said all he could do was give me a topical steroid. I said…no I don’t think a topical steroid will fix my head cold. He then proceeded to tell me that I didn’t sound congested enough or nasally. I asked him how would he know since we have never spoken or met. I then told him to forget it and I would see someone else. He was extremely unprofessional and offensive. His tone was ridiculous and I’m not convinced that he even had a medical degree in any capacity.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund if I was charged for this visit or to be rescheduled with an actual doctor that actually cares about how he treats people.
Same thing happened here! So called I didn't have covid but a sinus infection..ok if you are a Dr and you telling me I have a sinus infection, then why you're not prescribing an antibiotics. She told me to go see my pcp! Wth! I don't think they even Dr's either...she just took my $45 to tell me to go to my pcp...
Doctor's prescription
Doctor prescribed a medication which did not work at all for a patient, and the patient advised the doctor that medication would not work because she tried it before she got the visit scheduled, and the doctor told her to pay for another visit to speak with a different doctor to check another diagnosis and receive another prescription. She is complaining because the doctor did not take care of the patient's needs, and she is really sick still.
Please, advise.
Name of the patient: Samanta Antoian
Desired outcome: Doctors should be able to pay attention and listen to members need and be able to prescribe a good medication based on the patient's symptoms.
I had the same happening to me, they wanted me to pay for another visit even though i just needed another antibiotic that actually works
Absolutely useless for strep throat
If you have a medical license and can purchase your own strep test teladoc would be convenient. If not suck it up and go to walk in care. I paid 75 bucks to get prescribed over the counter cough medication. The service might be ok with talk therapy. For me personally it was a one and done experience. I tried the service on [protected]. If you read this review and decide to give it a try good luck!
Desired outcome: I was told I could purchase a strep test from Walmart or Amazon. My Walmart in hermantown, MN didn't carry strep tests and Amazon said I needed a small business and a medical license to buy strep test.
Phone visit
I had a teledoc phone visit on 02/11/2023 at 12:55 PM CDT.
I told the doctor that I had a sinus infection. I was then asked what my symptoms were. I said that I had congestion I had yellow phlegm and I was blowing my nose and there was a lot of blood in it. I also said that I had a discomfort and pain in my left ear. I was then told by the doctor that it was too early for antibiotics and that I should let the sinus infection run its course. I told the doctor that I was old enough to realize what a sinus infection was and that I have these often. I was in informed by the doctor that she was the one that went to medical school. And at that time I said I will decline all services by teladoc and I don't want any service at all by teladoc.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of my visit
Doctor
On Dec. 23rd my BF submitted a teladoc request for being positive for Covid 19. Several minutes later a phone call came in. He answered on speaker and the Dr. introduced herself and then proceeded to tell him: "You wanted me to call you so what is your question for me? He was confused with her demeanor, so he said 'excuse me?" Again, she said in a horrific tone, "you wanted to ask me a question...what is your question for me?" He stated, I'm confused with what your asking me.. I'm sick. Again.. she says "WHAT'S YOUR QUESTION FOR ME... Loudly?" So, he hung up on her cause it was like being in the twilight zone! She then called back and I answered. I asked her if there was something wrong with her? Typically the Dr. introduces themselves and asks the patient, what is wrong, what are their symptoms, etc. After arguing with her for a bit, I told her he was sick and needed a Dr. and needed medication. She told me... " there is no magic pill for Covid, so what do you want me to prescribe him?" I responded to her by letting her know that I was flabergasted with her response and that she was the Dr. and she should be the one telling us what he needed. Again, she said there was no magic pill for Covid and that he just needed to wait it out. I asked her if she could prescribe a steroid, an antibiotic, z pack.. something for the coughing, the fever, the chest congestion, etc.. She finally asked me a question about his illness and how long he had been sick and she reluctantly said she would prescribe something. This was an unbelievable experience. We actually thought this was a joke or she was on something. This experience was horrendous and no one, who is incredibly sick, should ever have to experience this kind of treatment. I have the name of the Dr. if someone would like to reach out to me and I would love this incident and this Doctor to be under further review.
Desired outcome: Please contact me for the name of the Dr. This cannot be the treatment people get when they are trying to use a system that is in place to help them and relieve their sickness, if at all possible.
12/30 visit
I tried from 7 am to 10 pm to speak with a provider, finally I got someone to call me. They apologizer and said they were busy all day. That’s fine with me, BUT what I work tolerate is the provider not so subtly commenting on my weight the entire phone call. I get it that my weight makes it’s easier for me to get respiratory infections but you don’t need to comment on my weight that much and call me obese at the same time. I think these doctors could learn a little bed side manner bc she was so rude and this was the first time I used this service and I probably will not be using it again. I’d rather spend money at my PCPs office than use this free service with my works insurance ever again unless something changes. Not to mention she didn’t even give me anything that would help, just told me to take an at home Covid test and sent me in cough suppressing pills that won’t take my infection away.
