Teladoc Provider services

My husband had an injection site reaction to a normal medication he is on. They told us to go to our primary Dr. It's Oklahoma. We have 20 inches of snow. They aren't in office, if they were in office, we wouldn't need Teladoc. Also my husband suffers from severe allergy eyes. The provider told us she couldn't even prescribe him some eye drops. So we need to go to an eye Dr. Literally all Teladoc did was tell us to go tell other Doctors. We had to pay a copay and on top of that, his insurance will be billed as well. Like 3 minutes to tell us to go elsewhere when we can't leave the house. Seriously, why even have this? Google search was more helpful than this!

Desired outcome: I would like a refund, and this company to be held liable for false advertising.

Teladoc Dermatology

I never spoke with a "doctor". I was emailed a diagnosis and the prescription was too much (over $200). I asked for another prescription but my appointment was closed. I asked for it to be reopened but the refused. Their customer service seems it was ran by very inexperienced people. Sad really

Desired outcome: Refund for service or appointment reopened for a different prescription

Teladoc Service

Tried to get help tonight with questions about my 1.5 year old. Told the rep our insurance changed and are we still able to use this service with ____ insurance. He said yes, I was on the phone for 40mins registering. Daughter screaming in the background. Then probably sick of listening to her screaming told me to finish on the app it would be faster. Hangs up. I login shocker it doesn't work! Why because our insurance changed. I then had to call back. Waste of time. Never got a doctor. They are all about $$ they don't care about kids and don't listen to patients

I have teledoc as an alternative medical service through my health insurance. I was billed an incorrect rate to which I brought it up to customer service the next business day. I was told that I selected another billing option causing me to be charged at non insurance rates. They refused to rebill the claim or refund me the difference. I was told by the...

Teladoc Teladoc for sinus infection

Saw a teledoc for a sinus infection in the beginning of December. I was only prescribed 7 days. Typically it's 10-14 days of antibiotic. The sinus infection came back after only being off the antibiotic about 2 weeks. I called teledoc for another script of antibiotics. They refused and told me to have a regular medical appointment. Regardless that what was prescribed to me was inadequate. They also charged me again for a "consult". It seems easy but it's a waste because you cannot get adequate treatment.

Desired outcome: Refund

Yes and just think what they are charging your insurance company. We spoke with a teladoc today. The call was muffled, we could hardly understand him. My husband gave him all the symptoms of his sinus infection. My husband is chronic with sinus infections and was in contact with his daughter who also had a sinus infection. The Dr. insisted it was a virus and to let it run it's course. We repeated his symptoms asked if he could give us a script for amoxicillin and said we worried it would go into Pneumonia and asked him to speak more clearly because we could not understand him. He said, "Well that is my diagnosis, " and hung up on us.

Teladoc Terrible service

I had a uti which is pretty regular if you are a woman. I have had them before, so I thought I would use a this virtual visit. Big mistake - huge! This visit was $49. The doctor did not ask what prescription I was on before or anything. I picked up my prescription and it was $74. Ii declined it, it took 24 hours for her to call in another prescription. She called in amoxicillin - who prescribes this for a uti? Well the side of effects is diarrhea. Yup I got that! So I called in a few days later asking to change my prescription again... But had to make another virtual visit for this... Noooooooo! I called my doctor at that point... Awful service! False advertising and I cant believe an insurance company backs this.

Teladoc Provider visit and requested follow up

I contacted teledoc because I am pregnant and had an upper respiratory infection, it clearly states in my chart that I am allergic to penicillin, the provider immediately suggested to give me amoxicillin, I advised I'm allergic what else is needed since I clearly need the antibiotic, and advised he didn't think it was best I go to the ER or Urgent Care, he asked me to call my OB and confirm the best RX, I did that and attempted to call back to try and give the information and was advised I would be charged $50 for a new visit when I was asked to call the dr back, I stayed on the phone with help desk for over an hr trying to get the visit waived since I was just giving the name of the prescription so it could be called in, a non medical professional named Kasha kept saying I needed to wait 24 hrs for a new appt because she would waive this follow up visit when I literally just spoke to the Dr less than 5 mins ago. Way to go to assure during a pandemic a pregnant woman is taken care of especially since I just paid less than 5 mins ago and was TOLD by the provider to call back. Disgusting business and health practice I will never use again!

Teladoc Behavioral health / mental health assistance

My experience with Teladoc was a horrible experience. I was looking for Behavioral Health/Mental Health Assistance. Because my insurance does not provide this type of coverage, I was sent to a general physician who was not able to provide any assistance. At now time during my sign up process was I informed that I would be seeing a general physician who would not be able to assist me. Since I had specially request mental health assistance, I believed I would be talking with someone who would be able to assist me with this issue. When the doctor contacted me, he immediately told me that he would not be able to assist me.

If I had known that my insurance would not cover the mental health professional I would have been happy to pay cash for the services, but I was not given that option.

The only option that Teledoc gave me was an option that would not be able to provide me any assistance and just take my money.

I then had to spend 15 minutes on the phone with a customer service person who just kept apologizing for my refund request being denied.

I will not recommend Teledoc to anyone and make sure what a bad experience I have had with your company.

Teladoc Dr wrote prescription without looking at my skin infection

I called teledoc for a suspected ringworm case. I have red, itchy patches on my thighs, neck and head. He said he'd write a prescription and that was end of the call. He never asked to see my skin. I called an hour later, after discussing it with my parents. I asked to speak to a supervisor since the customer service rep told me i'd have to pay another co-pay although I didn't think it was right to write a prescription without looking at the areas I mentioned. I didn't want to pay another co-pay so I asked for a refund. It was refused.

Teladoc Service / doctors

I call in because I litterally dug gravel out of my knee afterfalling off bike. I need antibiotics so I do not get infection. Your doctors are incompetent & quite frankly dumb. I was informed without seeing my knee they could not treat. So during covid I can take my baby in to the urgi care or emergency room in order to get a simplet antibiotic prescription. Unbelievable

Teladoc Medical service

Because of the coronavirus I was hesitant to go in to the doctor and give a urine specimen for a suspected UTI. After calling teladoc who did respond in a quick manner I encountered a female doctor. I'm not sure but I think she may have been in a race to see who could talk the fastest. The minute I told her that I suspected a UTI she said she would give me macrobid. I was trying to get a word in to explain to her that I am immune to macrobid per a test that was taken by my doctor. I literally had to raise my voice and stop her from quickly jumping off the phone so that I could ask her if the macrobid did not work was I able to call back and they would change prescription as it seemed to me it was protocol to order macrobid immediately. Within 3 days of taking it I was in a immense pain due to the fact that it was not working. I ended up having to go to the doctor anyway incurring more expense and exposure to coronavirus. This was my third time using teladoc. And I can tell you that I have not been satisfied once because of the rush rush to get me off the phone and back to the next customer. So what happens these doctors get paid per appointment? That's got to be it. For a patient to have to try to speak louder and over top of the position just to explain the actual causes of their phone call is ridiculous. My consensus... Three times you're out!

Teladoc Virtual doctor - board certified doctors

I decided to use the Teledoc service for medical assistance considering the Pandemic with COVID-19 and the need to use virtual channels. I logged on the site created the profile and scheduled a visit, they said it was a longer than usual wait. I understood that; I waited and I waited and I waited for almost 48 hours? I did get a text message that said I was in queue twice...I also made a call to there customer line at 1-855-TELADOC and waited to speak with someone (another 38 minutes) to see if I even had an appointment since it was the next day already. When they answered, they could care less, the representative was curt, straightforward, and unsympathetic. Furthermore, she did not even give me the correct information that matched up what the website stated regarding care. She said the doctor calls you once and if you do not answer they will cancel your appointment- the website says three times, she told me they do not send any correspondence which I did receive to meaningless test messages stating I was in queue. She did say I was still scheduled for an appointment - at that point it was 24 hours later, so I was still in Queue. Well...the I got an email that stated my appointment had been CANCELED! Are you kidding me? During this time, you see these hero medical professionals giving there all to this pandemic, SADLY - these are not medical professionals at Teledoc. They could care less what happens to you and certainly do not care about your time or value you as a person. The doctor that did end of helping me could not even provide me with the steps needed to take to treat my medical condition, she could not even help support me with a contact number or anything? It was such a waste of time that I will never get back, thank GOD it was not a situation that was critical. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT use this service and I encourage you if you have please right reviews if you have a negative experience - this organization should not be allowed to operate this way.

Teladoc Was never called by a doctor, then the 'visit' was canceled.

Over SEVERAL days i tried to get a doctor to explain why my prescription that was supposed to be sent to the pharmacy a month ago was never sent. NO doctor called after several days. A robo call came through asking if i want to stay in the que. A person then called a couple days later to see if i need to keep my call. then later that day a text came through canceling my 'visit' because they claim they tried to contact me. My cell phone that received the text never rang. i sat by my phone the whole day waiting and it never rang but they canceled my 'visit'.

The service is a joke and a scam. Even after talking to a doctor a month ago there was no prescription sent to the pharmacy.

Teladoc Teladoc company is failing its clients

1) schedule a consultation 7pm 3/18/20. At 11:39 am on 3/19, I received a text message saying that my provider was unable to reach me that to stay by the phone and they will try again. WHAT?! The good thing about cell phones is that we have a record of who calls us and who we call. NO ONE FROM TELADOC CALLED ME! Then at 3:49 p.m. I did receive a phone call that I had missed. I called back the number and it was a doctor's office so finally after 20 hours someone did make an attempt. Then right after that phone call I received a text saying that they have tried 3 times to get a hold of me myappointment has been canceled. UNBELIEVABLE! Then I called to talk to customer service and opted in to have them call me back they say press pound and we will call you back you will save your place in line and we will get back with you so I did that. I waited 5 hours no phone call so I decided to call and wait on line to talk to a customer service person. I was on hold to wait for a customer service person over an hour made a screenshot for my records and hung up. Still never received a phone call back from the option to have a customer service person call you back.

2) The other issue with teladoc IF you get a doctor on the phone they can barely speak English and then they act like whatever symptoms of your condition that you're having they aren't severe enough so therefore they're not going to help you and tell you to go see a doctor. REALLY! I had a sinus infection. I ended up going to the
emergency room where I was treated.

3) when you finally get to talk to one of their doctors and they prescribe you something for your ailment the prescription is WRONG! And if you have a problem with it trying to call and talk to customer service they say they were going to leave the doctor a message the doctor will get back with you. That never happens you call back and talk to customer service again they file a complaint and say they're going to get back with you and they never do this happened about 4 months ago I'm still waiting.

Currently as of today March 20th 2020 I am filing a complaint with the better business bureau and I'm also going to file a complaint with the attorney general and I'm also going to file a complaint with the AMA and whoever else I can. STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Teladoc Online doctor appointment

I had called for head cold, sore throat and possible conjuctivitis onset. The doctor, DR Gary Weiser, prescribed me an antibiotic for head cold / cingestion and said would give me erythromysin for the eye, standard protocal for "pink eye". The doctorsent the prescription to the pharmacy for the acne treatment version, topical only erythromysin. the wrong eye medicine. I was rushed ti the ER immediatley after first dose. The medication badly burned my corne. I have blister like bumps lining the inner lids of my extremely swollen eye. It hurts. They admitted his fault but refuse to pay for the incurred ER charges and eye specialist, opthamologist, next day follow up. Their customer service people are ill informed at best and rude. I will NEVER use their service again. My attorney and my HR dept. are my next calls. Buyer beware!

Teladoc Dermatology review

From my impression, this is the worst possible service available through Aetna and our corporation as a whole. YOu do not receive even a phone call, but simply a "fake diagnosis" over email by some unknown doctor that you don't even see for yourself. They "diagnosed" my severe eczema as dermatitis and prescribed me the same exact medicine that I already have in my possession. This is a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME and after speaking to a manager, they denied my claim with this statement: "We sincerely apologize that you were not satisfied with your recent visit. We have reviewed your refund request and per Teladoc's policy, "By requesting a visit, it does not guarantee that a Physician will be able to treat you. Some conditions will require you to seek specialty or emergent services which cannot be treated by a Teladoc Physician. If a Teladoc Physician can treat you, it is also not guaranteed that a prescription will be written. Some diagnoses are treatable with over the counter medications or other treatment plans as ordered by the treating Physician which may include further treatment from your PCP. Once the visit has started the visit fee is non-refundable".
This is the most ridiculous thing I have heard - that someone can write an response email within 5 minutes and just charge you 75.00 without speaking to you. Unbelievable. Don't be fooled.
Date of Incident: February 8, 2020
Provider: Mushtag Kahn
Diagnosis: Dermatitis, unspecified (are you kidding me?)
Dryness of skin and hand dermatitis

Again, this was NOT a visit at all and I spoke to noone and received a "generated" email response that was a template within 5 minutes and received a 75.00 charge. I will also be filing a complaint to our Legal team, HR, and Aetna Health services in addition.

Teladoc Unethical charge for services

Called to ask if I could use Teladoc for mental/behavioral health prescription refills and was told that I could make an appointment and if the Dr is unable to provide services due to mental/behavioral health issue where I would need to be seen in office then I would not be charged for the visit since no services could be provided. I was not told to make appointment online for a behavioral health visit but was told to confirm that I wanted to proceed with the general health appointment. So I signed up for (what I thought was) mental health/behavioral health service and had an alleged doctor call soon after. She listened to what I was asking for (actually she just confirmed that I was looking to speak with someone about mental/behavioral health medication) and said that she was not the correct type of doctor and that the appointment was put in incorrectly and needed to go to a behavioral health dr. She said a behavioral health doctor was going to call me within 24 hours and then nobody called me. I was not told to go to the Dr for my prescription request and I was not told that Teladoc could not service my type of request.

They refuse to refund my money as they call it "services rendered." I called them back to review the call where I was told I would not be charged for the $45 copay for the visit and they said that I confirmed on the call that I wanted to proceed with an appointment (even though I was under the impression I would not be charged if services could not be provided) and that by confirming the appointment I was confirming the charge for the visit. The visit that I never actually had since I never was told to go to a Doctor or told if they could provide any services. I was told to wait for another Doctor to call me which never happened.
Although this isn't a lot of money they would not refund there is a principle of what is unethical business practices. I was charged for a service that I never received. After not hearing back from another Doctor within 24 hours, I called my regular Doctor to make an appointment. They are claiming that the Doctor who called me rendered services and that is why I am being charged the $45. However this Doctor never provided any service- why would I pay $45 for a visit where a Doctor says that another Doctor would call me and then nobody does? No medical advice or service was provided.

Teladoc Telacroc

Called for a recurrent sore throat. I had been dealing with it for close to a month. Thought my insurance company would not endorse a service that I now consider quackery. I was wrong. They wanted to prescribe this and that for the pain. I told them I have had Strep in the past and this was similar. I ended up $45 poorer and heading to an urgent care facility. Was not cheap, but I got the treatment I sought. Use this service at your peril( monetarily and physically)!

Teladoc "teledoc" steals your money and cares nothing about your health

I've been sick for a few days, sore throat, coughing up yellow mucus etc. All the walk in clinics I called or went to were full. Insurance told me to call teledoc. Told them my symptoms and the "doctor" told me I "seem like I'm getting better" ... I have an infection and need antibiotics! No, no antibiotics because I "seem like I'm better" complete horse****! How can you diagnose someone you can't touch? I now am going to go to work and infect all my coworkers. This is a complete scam and should be ILLEGAL! YOU CAN'T PROPERLY DIAGNOSE SOMEONE OVER THE PHONE! DO NOT USE! THEY JUST WANT TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DON'T GIVE A RATS ***ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR THE HEALTH OF THOSE AROUND YOU!
