service
I'm a server myself so I have never complained before if something came out wrong or etc, I also come here all the time and I've never gotten service as horrible as I did tonight. We had Erica as our server, as soon as she came out she was slurring her words and talking over me and I'm almost certain she was high on something. I asked for a roadkill without mushrooms and I get the same thing every time and I've never had such a problem trying to order it. She asked me if I wanted gravy on it and I told her no and she insisted that I HAD to get a third thing on it. I've never had to do that before and she ended up just putting extra cheese on it for a third thing, which whatever that is okay. At this point my boyfriend was getting aggravated that she seemed under the influence of something and I said it's okay, maybe it's because she was new (because like I said I'm a server myself, so I try not to be judgemental considering sometimes serving can be challenging especially during a rush.) so we get our appetizer and our salads and everything was fine and once our food does come out I had my roadkill and a side of rice - when I never ordered rice, I ordered fries. So by this time I'm a little upset but I can deal with things like that and I'm not picky but that wasn't what I ordered and I didn't eat it. At this point I'm still not going to complain but we finally get her to bring us the check and she brings us the wrong check. It was two sirloins with potatoes (an 8 oz and a 6 oz) when of course I got the road kill and my boyfriend got a grilled chicken.
She finally came back over again and we tell her we got the wrong ticket, so she grabs it and comes back and tells us we have to pay for that one because she messed up and that one is a dollar below the ticket that we would've had. I paid for it, but this is completely unacceptable.
prime rib
Hey Folks,
A friend of mine and I dined at the Texas Roadhouse Winchester Virginia location this last Saturday night. We both ordered the 12 oz. prime rib to be cooked medium. What was presented to us was a barely cooked super rare piece of something that resembled meat. It chewed like bubble gum and had absolutely no taste. At least a quarter of it was fat. We had our waitress take it back to the kitchen and talk to the chef about having it cooked medium. She returned it to us and the only thing that had changed was that the fat was warmer. This was the first time in my life that I could not eat a prime rib that was put in front of me. I've eaten at this location many times before and this was absolutely the worst visit. I hate to say it but this has questioned my faith in the Texas Roadhouse. Please make this right. Thank you.
Regards,
Larry Mahon
management
My husband worked for the store in Erie pa. They are very unprofessional as the managers are always drinking on the job or hungover from the previous night. They never had their schedule posted in a decent time and when he would call to get his schedule the people there would never answer the phone. Then the managers would allow other employees to call my husband to see if he was coming in. They would have my husband work 10-12 hr shifts with no break and wouldn't even consider asking if he is able to stay they would just make him stay, and I also work which I lost my previous job because of them. They need to fire all the managers there JESSICA, BRITTANY AND PAIGE! And for Jessica to tell my husband in front of everyone "your on my ### list" because he couldn't come in the previous night due to the fact that I was at work and had no babysitter which if they had their schedule up we could've made arrangements. Then to find out from other co workers that the MANAGERS are talking about the employee behind their back and say that my husband used our kids as an excuse to not come in which is never the case. We are very hard working people and would never ever use that as an excuse we need our jobs to support our kids. I'm very very very pissed off by this place and how its ran by them unprofessional and unorganized so called managers! And I wasn't even the one working their but to constantly hear about the ### my husband had to put up with is an outrage. Corporate really needs to pay this store a visit personally!
to go order
On April 23rd, my friends and I ordered a take out order at the Texas Toadhouse in Sandusky, Ohio, and received (once again) not a correct order. We got back to work, and we only received 3 smushed rolls, we did ask to pay for extra, it looked like someone took a bite out of one of them. The side salad was absolutely tiny, maybe three bites. We also didn't receive silverware, or any condiments. We called them back and the manager, Alex, said there wasn't anything he could do about it unless we came back right then, and we couldn't because we only had a 30min break. He then told us to come back Wednesday when he worked again to further discuss the issue. Not happy to say the least. I used to be a server at this roadhouse and I would never treat a customer like this. I take pride in every job I have. I usually don't complain or send food back because I know the business, but this isn't the first time this has happened.
low service - lack of product
We have a family member in the hospital (and has been since last month)and we are in Gainesville every night. We have been everywhere to eat, Waffle House, Culvers, The Olive Garden, and not in any of those places have I ever had a hard time getting a cup of coffee...except Texas Roadhouse...it's usually around 8:30 or 9 when we get to a place to eat and we would like coffee, but 4-18-17 was the 3rd time we have been to Texas Roadhouse within 3 weeks, and your coffee machine is STILL BROKEN! Two steak dinners, a grilled chicken salad and COFFEE! No coffee, my baked potato was cold, my husband's steak was under cooked and yes, they grilled it again and then it was over cooked...I asked for no bacon bits on my salad, did it happen, no!
Service was slow, the food is blah and no coffee...
service and food
My husband and I took our mom and dad out for their anniversary hoping we would enjoy our meal and have a great time. Anytime we have gone to Texas Roadhouse it has always been a great visit and the food has been excellent. This visit unfortunately was not a good experience whatsoever. It started with out waitress chewing gum while talking to us and then it took her forever to do anything. Once we finally were able to order we then realized why it was taking her so long to do anything. When I went outside to get my diaper bag for my son I found out waitress around the back outside arguing with someone and smoking. (Very awkward) once receiving our food, my mom and dad's meal was cold and my husband and I got the wrong meal. Once corrected, our mom and dad were finished with their meal but the time we were given our food. We took it to go because by that point we were beyond irritated. We also were charged for an appetizer that she forgot to give us but then they made it for us and gave it to us to go. I wanted to eat my meal at the restaurant with my family and I can tell you warming up a 20 dollar steak meal at home I could have just made it at home. I have been a waitress for over 15 years and I do not like to complain because I understand the restaurant business isn't always perfect and these things can happen. I feel that we should have gotten our meal paid for or at least discounted. It seemed that the manager felt that their mistake had been corrected and they did not see it from our point of view, which is that our family did not have ourmeal together and that is the whole point of going out to eat. Your willing to spend 100 dollars to take your family out for the experience and the food. I felt I could have just made dinner at home for my family and it would have turned out better. There is nothing worse than having to pay for such an unpleasant experience.
steak and slow slow service
Wow! Quite the bad experience at the Sheboygan Texas Roadhouse! Took over an hour at 4:45 pm with little business. We had a table of five and did not get food for over an hour while all the tables around us received food. Plus, I ordered a medium well steak and got well done charcoaled! Seriously! I didn't reorder as didn't know how long it would take. This was the second similar problem in a month here. We love Texas Roadhiuse in Waukesha but when we visit family in Sheboygan we will now avoid the Sheboygan one for sure! Now I know why our friends warned us!
steak and rib combo
I place an order a few weeks ago and it was wrong. I order the forth worth steak and I add a half rack of ribs with a load bake potatoe and a ceasar salad. I request for some steak sauce also. I called it in and everything. When I got home I didn't have any my condiments, the salad was brown and it even enough for a small size bowl. The steak I told them well done and it was red inside. I called back and spoke with Shelby about the situation and she apologize and everything and she told me that she will replace my order because of there mistake. I called my order in and told them I spoke to Shelby the manager and she had my name in the office to replace my order. I get here to pick up my order and a young man came out and said that he spoke with Shelby and that she said to just replace the ribs. I told him no that's what she didn't say. And another gentle came out and ask me what's going on and I told him and he was looking at me like I was lying. I told him I don't have a reason to lie because I am an area supervisor and that was the truth. So he took my name down and ask when did I come. I knew was about 2 or 3 weeks ago and I couldn't remember the day. But he said he would go look. He comed back and tell me that he didn't see anything in the system with my name on it and all the employees standing like was lying. I come here once a week and I'm very disappointed how I was treated and I told him to keep it. Because they feel like I wasn't telling the truth and I paid my money for something that was there mistake. All I want was my order replace. I will not be coming back here again.
food & customer service
On 04/01/2017 me and my family ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse, it was 10:00pm when we arrived and they close at 11. We had to ask for bread a couple of times, I ordered the salmon with loaded mash potatoes, my salmon was over cooked and because they were closing I could not cook me another one nor provide me anything courtesy for the inconvenience. No manager could assist me. Very distubring to me.
service
I have always enjoyed having dinner with my family here, until tonight my server Lola was the least interested in our table yes we saw she had other tables but we waited over five minutes for our drinks just to turn and see her standing near the computers talking and laughing, we order an appapizer but she never even bother to bring it (sure she forgot, she never mentioned it) our food was dilivered by another friendly employee, Lola never bothered to check on us, not once did we get refills asked her for To-go boxes and she forgot them but when we asked another employee we saw her standing near the kitchen door on her phone. I understand roadhouse gets busy but she just didn't care for us at all and was also rude
reservations
So Texas Roadhouse does not do reservations, they do call ahead seating which is a crock. You are placed in a call log but can not be assured you will be seated when you get there. So what exactly is the point at all. I believe they should take reservations especially for large parties. We recently had 15 people for a birthday party. When I called the day before to ask if that would be a problem they assured me it would be fine and that I should call the next day at 3. I called the next day at 3 and told her the information and I was told that at the time I asked for we would not be seated together when we got there. I informed her that was unacceptable because this is a birthday party. I ended up having to take a different time which then meant I had to contact all of the guests and change the time. Could have all been avoided if they would take reservations. Long story short, no more birthday parties at Texas Roadhouse, heck we can make a reservation at Pizza Hut and be seated when we arrive, just saying they should reexamine their policy on reservations. There are much better restaurants and cheaper restaurants that at least take reservations.
customer service
Came in Saturday because Monday 1/16/17 was my birthday and got an email from TX Roadhouse to get a free appetizer, since we came in there was not bread brought to our table until my oldest son ask for some, I ordered an appetizer and we did not get our appetizer after we all got all of our meals, When the food was brought to our table and I cut my stake to make sure it was well done my husband was eating his steak so when I noticed that my stake was not well done I instead of complaining I checked my husband's steak and mistakenly the gave my husband my steak, it was a quick switch but it was an inconvenience. I did made my server know but she was smiling saying that it was an easy fix, When I got my receipt to pay the appetizer was still on my tab, I did made the server know but it seem that it was not a huge deal that just to take off the appetizer . Is inconvenient to have this poor service for the price of our meal.
I had the pleasure of attending the Pensacola, Fl restaurant this evening. The service was exceptional (Tie was my server) and she was friendly and attentive. The co-manager was Haley and she came twice. Once to find out how my service was going and once upon my request after my meal was served so I could give her and independent customer rating. I prefer ice berg lettuce and not the "wilted" lettuce that is so popular now. The ice berg was in the middle of my salad so it was fine. The rolls were not warm enough for the butter to melt on them, but they were OK. The food was great. I got the roadkill steak and it was delicious, cooked perfectly along with the baked potato. The server was very friendly without being cloying and so was the co-manager. I left with the wish that someone would had a crane to get me to my car, because I ate too much. I know, being a supervisor of 15 years, how you wind up with all the complaints, some well deserved some nasty. But I think that people with pleasant experiences should say when they get good service as well. Mine was good, professional services and good food.
service
I am a 54 year old single customer that works on the road as an Investigator for a personal injury lawyer. I'm not looking for a free meal or gift card. I eat at Texas Road House and that particular 1 at least 3+ times per month. Yesterday, NY Eve I went in at 3:15ish and had drove there from my last app. in Rock Hill. So I passed a lot of restaurants to get 2 my home restaurant where they know me. I tip well and last month bought $100 worth of gift cards twice. I sat at the bar and Bobbi asked what I was drinking I told him but then said I want water and to order because I havent ate since 9am this morning. He gave me a menu which I don't need because I know it inside out and he knows I do. He procceded to do other things and then other bar patron who heard me say I was hungry decides he needs to get his bill so no problem I walked out. I tip excellently and get treated like that. i won't be going back. I got there early. It was not that busy. i'm a regular who spent over $300 in Dec there and I get treated like a sucker. That location can't miss because it's between 2 hotels. nothing worse than a biz that makes money by accident. they forget the 1st rule is to service yr customer. especially a steady. Two Notch ran much better when Jordan managed it.
service food quality
On December 16, 2016 we decided to go to Outback in Longview Texas. We arrived around 9pm. Our party included 4 adults, a six year old and a 4 year old.
We seated immediately. The restaurant was not busy.
After being seated we waited for 15 to minutes for our server to come to the table.
We placed our drink orders. 15 minutes later our drinks arrived.
We placed our order and waited for at least 45 minutes and still did not have our food. Our server walked by our table, I asked if she could check on food. She proceed to tell me that the way kitchen worked worked was to place partial orders were placed under the heat lamp waiting for sides to be prepared. By this time we have 2 very tired and cranky kids still waiting for their dinner.
Our meals arrived serred asked to cut out steaks to make sure they were cooked correctly. She left the table before we could answer.
The server did not come back to our table to check to see if we needed anything.
We had to flag down another server to ask for check. We waited for another 10 minutes for our check. The server left the table again
We waited for another 15 minutes for her to pickup the ticket and payment card.
As all of this is going on, there is another group of servers sitting behind us. They are having personal conversations waiting to leave for the day.
When the service is this bad and food is below par, it's disturbing to other employees sitting in booths chatting instead of helping to serve customers.
I did not see a manager at anytime. I would recommend they train the waitstaff and do training kitchen staff.
Worst experience ever at Outback.
manager
Im still on vacation and one of my collegue
Told me that i will not be working in mirdif anymore cause they transfer me in other branch without informing me, why they cannot transfer the one who has a relationship in same store and my manager is allowing that kind of situation which is not allowed.
Ur the manager you should have a fair treatment to your staff not having a favoritism, just because we are filipino ur being unfair! Your allowing relationship in your store which is not allowed and your not doing anything because the staff is your favorite.. Please do something for this its been long time..
food service and waiting time
A party of four had to wait almost two hours to be served the entrée after already waiting over an hour to be seated. Granted, they were very busy but we saw people who came in after we did and a larger party be served and ate and left before we were served. The waitress just kept bringing us our tea and water that we ordered and had no explanation as to why our food was not ready. When our food finally came, (only after I asked to speak to the manager who never showed up) it was luke warm and some of the order was missing. I asked again to speak to the manager and he/she still did not show. We shortly asked for the bill, got boxes for our food and left. Obviously we will never go there again. The waitress apologized as we were leaving but that's all we got. We all couldn't help but wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that we were black! hmmmm!
Of course it was because you were black. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the fact they were busy, others had reservations, your orders were different than the ones served before you, etc. It all came down to your skin color.
poor service
Recently went to texasroadhouse with my friends and we ordered some meals and drinks.
When I made my order I told the waitress that I don't want onions in my burger. I told her that I have an allergy and can't stand onions. She said that it was not a problem.
So we spent a great time there, everything was delicious and super tasty. But then I felt sick and rash started to appear on my skin. I called the waitress and she said she was very sorry and forgot about the onions. The entire party was ruined. I had to take a taxi and go home.
I'm very disappointed with texasroadhouse! I really loved the atmosphere there, food was amazing, music was great, but it seems like they really don't care about the customers. Well, I feel upset that texasroadhouse employee did not pay any attention to what I said about my health condition. Poor service.
two prime rib dinners (buyer beware)
The first time my wife and I had the prime rib dinner at Texas Roadhouse was perfect. The meat was cooked rare all the way through. Tonight we were looking forward to the same experience like we had the first time we ate it there. The place was full as usual for a Saturday night. The staff were friendly and the order took a little longer than normal...

Tuesday Aug 18th Me VivianNoel, My cousin Samella Calloway Donna Williams and her son Shamar came to eat dinner. My cousin and I decided to share4 piece cat fish in case we didn't like it we would get something else. Ask for it to be fried extra crispy. Didn't bring it that way neither the fries. Fries were limp. Didn't fry them at all. So yes we will take both back and fix them just the way you want. So why ? Tell me why? Would you bring me back the same fish you took away 15 minutes ago cold and think it's going to be ok? And think I was not going to say one word? Oh and give her a free meal. Cause that's why black people come in here and complain for anyway. No it is not alright. I'm a diabetic. I needed to eat a long time ago while you all were playing jokes. So finally the manager steps in. Time to take the fish to go. Brought us some fish and fries so hot we couldn't eat them. Then the waitress brought us some rolls that weren't even cooked. I have a picture of them. No I was not charged for my meal but I was disrespected.
incompetent manager
I was dining alone and was about half way thru my meal when I started coughing as I was choking on a piece of food. My server came to my table to see if he could get me anything - I asked for a drink of water, which he brought. I was still coughing so I went to the bathroom to take care of myself, when I returned, my table had been cleaned and was ready for the next customer. My server immediately returned and apologized for his co-workers mistake by clearing the table. I told him that he saw that I was coughing so I went to the restroom to take care of myself - he said that is what he thought but the cleaner had cleared the table. He asked me to sit down while he went to talk to his manager about the situation. He returned and asked if I wanted another meal - it was BBQ chicken and a sweet potato. I said no that wasn't necessary as I was half way through it - could he please just take something off that purchase as I was preparing to leave anyway as I wasn't feeling like eating any more at that time. I thought that like 50% off would be less than another whole meal as I was half way through it - it makes sense. He said 'sure' and he would check again with his manager. He reappeared and said that his manager said 'that he would be happy to take 10% off my bill for the problem.' He asked me if that would be ok? I laughed and replied 'not really' but I just wanted my bill so I could leave as I was still slightly coughing. He came back again and said that the manager had decided to take 30% (employee discount) off since 10% wasn't that much, due to my dinner only costing $10 - I said 'just please bring me my bill so I could leave'. He did and apologized once again for the situation. I paid my bill and left a larger tip for the server as he was caught in the middle. I do appreciate the discount but in my opinion, that MANAGER should have come right out to me and discussed the situation and the choices of resolution as it was HIS employee that made the error not the SERVERS'. I travel for a living and had a great meal at that same restaurant last week as it is across from my hotel. I have always liked and frequented Texas Roadhouse, if they are in my area of travel. I hope for many reasons that the situation doesn't repeat itself, but in any situation it is up to the MANAGER to be the personal contact with the customer in any situation! I believe this one requires additional management training!
