shipment of face sunscreen never came
This company takes your money, spends it, then doesn't ship your product. They might ship it...in 2 months. TERRIBLY SLOW SHIPPING. Their website lies about shipment timing. don't bother ordering from here. You'll wait forever to receive it. The product I ordered was Elta MD sunscreen. It can be put into a bubble envelope and mailed because it is so small. Their website said they had it in stock. Again, this is a scam where they take your money, purchase the product elsewhere (which is why it takes so long to get) then finally ship it (IF they get it in). This is the 2nd time I tried this place - I thought the first time was a fluke. Never again.
Products are not sealed and packaged
The products which I have received are not properly sealed and packaged. I have reported the same to the customer service representative Emma. She tried very hard to make sense and the product which they delivered was genuine. And started arguing that I have thrown the product packages into the trash. I got the package on saturday. I tried to speak with...

Hello everyone. I am here for the first time and I would like to complain against The Beauty Place company that took my money away and has been ignoring me since I ordered from them two months ago. My items never arrived.
They have a phone number ending with 1112. Not sure how real it is, but it's unavailable. They also have an email, but I never got any response from them.
I don't know what to think and how to refund.
Is The Beauty Place Legit?

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While The Beauty Place has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 10% of 10 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- The Beauty Place protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
- If you purchased a website from The Beauty Place that is currently for sale, and you did not receive what you paid for, you may be a victim of a scam. To try and get your money back, you can try contacting the seller, filing a dispute with the payment platform, or reporting the seller to the relevant authorities.
- We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to The Beauty Place. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.
TheBeautyPlace take money but they don't deliver orders!
I can't recommend this company and I have nothing good to tell about it.
I also can't say anything about TheBeautyPlace products because I did not receive my order. According to all the reviews I saw there are a lot of people who had the same issue. TheBeautyPlace take money but they don't deliver orders and the worst part is that when you try to contact customer service, they simply don't reply.
Too bad I did not saw the reviews earlier, ordering from this place was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I already gave up, because I've tried all the possible ways but still was not able to reach anyone. Please, stay away!
thebeautyplace is a scam
TheBeautyPlace is a scam website, do not order anything from them, you will lose your money and never get your product!
I've purchased a shampoo from this website and my order never arrived. There is no customer service, they never replied!
I'm so disappointed and angry at the same time. I should have read the reviews before I decided to buy from them!
And the tracking number they gave me did not work. Avoid TheBeautyPlace like a plague!
No order and no customer service
TheBeautyPlace customer service does not exist and there is no way to get any sort of help. I waited weeks and since my order did not arrive I decided to contact customer service and ask what was going on. First I tried to call but no one picked up. Then I went to their website and found out that they had an online "contact us" form which I decided to try. Unfortunately it did not help either and I still have no idea where my order is and what happened to it.
Online scam
I bought Obagi from this website AFTER speaking with one of there representatives about where they get there products to make sure it's legit. She assured me that they get there products directly from obagi. So I went ahead and spent $220.00 of the red obagi products. To make an extremely long story short. Later on after speaking to an obagi representative she told me that they DO NOT sell to thebeautyplace.com! I ended up going to a licensed dermatologist and getting the exact same obagi from there to compare and contrast the two. Didn't have the same consistency nor smell. I called the beauty place.com to tell them about my great investigation work and the manager wasn't too thrilled. She was yelling at me, talking over me, and calling me a liar. She also told me that since I opened the product that I can't get a refund. So I thought I should just warn the rest of you who are thinking about buying anything from this website. DO NOT! They are a scam and this is not the first complaint of them putting fake substance in there bottles. DO NOT BUY FROM THEBEAUTYPLACE.COM! Use your money elsewhere!
The beautyplace.com IS NOT an authorized online retailer for Chi
I purchased a $80 CHI Turbo Auto Digital Ceramic Spring Curl Iron in March and by October the spring on the top lever under the handle slipped out of place and isn't holding my hair tight between the lever and the barrel. I contacted thebeautyplace.com and at first they said they would replace the curling iron. The next day they said they would not, that I had to deal directly with the manufacture of the curling iron (Farouk). When I called Farouk to ask for a replacement they said they could not give me a replacement. They said there are counterfeit products out there so they can't guarantee the iron if it's not sold through an authorized online retailer. The beautyplace.com IS NOT an authorized online retailer for Chi. I've never spent $80 on a curling iron in my life, but thought all the good things I'd heard about the Chi brand and the ceramic barrel would be worth it. I've bought $20 curling irons that have lasted several years and this one only lasted six months. SO mad! I hold thebeautyplace.com responsible!
customer service, suspected counterfeit products
Similar to the other complaint, I received a Murad product from this company that has the wrong smell and consistency. I have used this product (Murad Anti Aging Moisturizer SPF 20 1.7oz) for nearly a year and am familiar with its scent and texture. The tube received from The Beauty Place doesn't smell the way that it should and it feels as if the moisturizer was mixed with sand. The texture is completely wrong and to the point that it cannot be used comfortably. The box was damaged and the hygienic foil seal found on genuine Murad products was missing.
I contacted The Beauty Place on February 7 in order to have the product replaced. They refused to replace the product or refund my money because I was outside the 30 day refund window. However, this is because the product was listed as in stock when I ordered it in December, although I received an email several days later saying that the product was out of stock (despite charging my credit card at the time of purchase). I purchased the product locally because I did not know when the one from The Beauty Place would arrive, and did not open their version until I finished the one that I purchased at a local store. I contacted them immediately after opening their tube because it is defective -- I suspect it is a counterfeit product.
I opened a complaint with the BBB branch in Miami because I was unable to reach a resolution with customer service myself. Please note that The Beauty Place is -not- a BBB-accredited company. I wish I had checked that prior to purchasing anything from them. The Beauty Place has been unable thus far to meet any of the response deadlines set by the BBB, consistently responding several weeks late. The complaint that I opened on February 9 (today is April 10) still has not been resolved because of their failure to respond. I am going to try to attach the BBB complaint so that the timeline (and their missed deadlines and extensions can be seen).
I contacted Murad about the product and they told me that The Beauty Place is NOT an authorized retailer.
The inability of The Beauty Place to promptly or fairly respond to complaints, stand behind their products, even comply with the BBB all show that this company is not to be trusted. Their obvious lack of respect for the BBB and its process further supports this. Please avoid this company. The product that they sold me was unpleasant and I stopped using it. However, a counterfeit product could have a lot of nasty side effects, ranging from being contaminated to causing skin damage.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
thebeautyplace.com sells Olaplex. Olaplex is a highly counterfeited product. If you are not getting the #1 and #2 Olaplex from an authorized seller -- one that does not sell to non-licensed professionals -- then it is most likely counterfeit. When I made an inquiry, I did not receive a response regarding authenticity. I also suspect that their Karin Herzog products are also counterfeit.
Thank you for your comments, I almost placed an order with this company. Based on your experience will not complete the purchase, but will advise others to do the same.
This company is crooked and have bad customer service
I recently purchased this product, received it and noticed that the texture was brown and clumpy, which is not what it is supposed to be. It SHOULD be white and creamy. I contacted the actual Macadamia store and they said that their formula has not changed and that the product should be white and creamy. They also said they have been trying to get thebeautyplace.com website to stop selling Macadamia Hair products for a while. This site sells fake products. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE! The prices are really too good to be true! I called and said the item was defective and they said they would email me a return slip. I never got one. I have called multiple times. This company is crooked and have bad customer service!
I have also gotten defective merchandise from thebeautyplace.com & they have been giving me the runaround for MONTHS about a refund. Every time I call, I get a different answer. I'll never do business with them again. I've learned my lesson the hard way. I should have researched them before I decided to give them my hard-earned money.
