unwanted catalogs
I just sent this to Customer Service although I have found it does no good. From 6/01/15 until the week of 5/10/17, I regularly received their catalogs. Each time I emailed or called asking to be removed from the mailing list, I was given the same lame excuse of pre-printed labels requiring 8-10 weeks. It took TWO years and the involvement of the BBB to get the mailings stopped.
And now it has started all over again. I contacted them on 5/21/18, 6/5/18, 6/27/18, 7/16/18, 8/8/18, 9/01/18, 09/11/18, 10/09/18, and 10/22/18 again asking them to stop sending me catalogs and to remove me from the mailing list. Most of the time I got that same old "8-10 weeks/pre-printed labels" run-around.
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau again and am waiting a reply from them concerning this ridiculous unwillingness to remove me from the mailing list. I do not want the catalogs and will never buy from a place with such poor business practices.
I hope the BBB and this can make a difference.
service
My mother ordered 2 tshirts from this joint in June from a ltitle ad that was stuck in our Sunday newspaper. She got a letter from them in late July stating they were on backorder and the estimated ship date would be late SEPTEMBER. So, we let it ride thinking maybe, just maybe, they would get here sooner. Well, as luck would have it, one of them arrived early August. So we'd actually forgotten about the other one...until yesterday when she saw the exact same ad again. So now she just wants her money back. So, I emailed them last night and explained that when she ordered them it was in June and the season was SUMMER. It is now the END of SEPTEMBER and it is now FALL. So, she can't even wear it now. Well low and behold they emailed me back today and guess what? It had miraculously shipped already. Wouldn't order from this place again if it were free and they brought it to my front door!

recurring membership charges
I ordered some clothing in december of 2016, and apparently by doing so I was signed up for a "membership" that charged $14.97 to my credit card every month. I can't believe my husband didn't catch this on the discover statement, but he didn't. Ugh! What the heck?!? I believe that one order is the only thing I ever ordered from the tog shop. I would like nothing more than to be reimbursed for 18 months of this "membership"!
korea poppy blouse - multicolor
This shirt runs at least 2sizes smaller than it is! My mother-I -law who is 96 y/o loves it and so I have had to order this shirt three times to get the right size. She is a 10-12 and I have finally ordered a size 16! I have had my credit card charged three times now and paid shipping and handling charges three times now. Customer service was no help at all! I will never order from this company again. Be mindful! ACafa
ads and customer service
Website promises "20% off today's order and free shipping". Then you order something and on the checkout summary it even says "promotional code applied" but then you look at the final bill and they did not take 20% off and they charged me $12.95 shipping. Fraudulent practices!
When I emailed customer service, I got 2 different answers but both basically said too bad. I will never shop here or any of the Blairsville shops for allowing these practices.
Delivery/shipping/customer service
On 3/8/17 I placed an order for overnight delivery( charged $30.00) as of today I still do not have it 3/13/17- have called at least 6 times -every time I get apologies, they will waive the shipping ( which oddly enough each time I call is sill showing) On 3/10/17 I spoke to a male manager who told me( assured me) that it would go out on today for delivery tomorrow-I just got off the phone with another supervisor who again apologized but it will not be delivered for another day or two. When I asked for her supervisors name she would not provide it.
We will not be placing any more orders with you. We were considering these blouses for uniforms for our 8 restaurants -if a customer came to us with something they were upset with due to our error or lack of customer service we would have jumped through hoops to help them. We need to work with someone who values their customers and helps them.
Rewards scam
In December my wife placed an order with this scam web site. A pop-up then offered her $15.00 off her next order by clicking. When she clicked, it asked for her e-mail address. Now they are billing her $14.95 per month for what they call VIP Plus which she never knowingly agreed to. Note that:
>Neither the main landing page nor most secondary pages even mentions VIP Plus. The one place it is mentioned, when you click on it, a solicitation for their credit card appears, nothing else.
>My wife is intelligent, a college graduate with many years experience in accounting. She says that nowhere did she see any notice that, by clicking then providing her e-mail address, she was agreeing to pay $14.95 per month for something she would never use.
>There appears to be no way to cancel this billing on the web site. You can only cancel by calling an 800 number, but that would give you no written proof you cancelled.
This is a first class SCAM and probably violates federal laws. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS WEB SITE, PERIOD.
Delivery-Customer service
I placed an order on line on 12/23/2015 and each time I contacted 'customer service' ( a total of 6 times to date) about delivery I got a different explanation and run around about this simple order. These people clearly do not care about their customers they pretend to take care of the problem then claim later that the last customer service agent made "a...
Read full review of The Tog ShopRewards SCAM
This company ripped off my mother since May 2012 with a worthless $14.95 per month automatic payment to her credit card. Only an elderly person would likely fall for this and not notice it. In reading other complaints the elderly are clearly the target for this predatory scam. My mother died last week and I was in the process of carefully going over her charges when I came upon this. Cancelling is easy, but trying to find out if she had even one dollar in benefit vs. the $450 she paid since they scammed her into this is something they cannot say. It appears that there was a free trial period. At the end of the trial she was automatically billed. This practice alone should be unlawful especially when dealing with older patrons.
Shame on you Tog Shop and Appleseeds and I am sure numerous other catalog/online companies.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have had a terrible time with Tog Shop employees lying to me.
14.95 MONTHLY CHARGE
This company has been charging my Discover card for 2 years...that I know of. I called [protected] and they said that the JAI* TOG SHOP REWARDS was offered to me to save $20 on my next order and free shipping from The TOG Shop. I have never had this offered to me and I would never have accepted this. They said I had 30 days to cancel this rewards program. Of course, it wasn't canceled because I didn't have a clue. My husband pays the bills and he is old as am I. I am angry that this was done. I want help to get back my money. I contacted Discover and they will go back and dispute every record of the $14.95. There is no guarantee I will get any money back since it started in or before 2012. Does anyone know any thing about this or how to correct this issue.
I ordered approx $99.00 worth clothing in late November, 2018 and paid for the order in full with my Pay Pal account. I had no other transactions with this company. I checked my Pay Pal account the first week of January, 2019 and see a charge in the amount of $14.97 (paid to Orchard Brands which is same as the company receiving the original payment of $99.00). Checking my Pay Pal account further I found I was charged $14.97 on December 1, 2018. This was set up on my Pay Pal to pay $14.97 every month. I definitely did not authorize this monthly payment.
I contacted Pay Pal for a refund and they are investigating. Tried to call Orchard Brands but every number I call is automated with no option to speak to real person. I will never purchase from this company again. However, sister companies include Blair, Norm Thompson and others who use this same money processing company so people should be AWARE. Pay Pal was not even able to find a number to call,
Typical of many scams. I bought my mother in law some slacks and it has come through on our card immediately. I did not sign up for anything like this.
Telemarketing Scam
I placed an order with The Tog Shop on-line in December (Christmas gift). I started getting calls from a phone number in California on my cell phone, when I called back I got strange recordings. Then yesterday I happened to answer the call from this number, and it was a Telemarketer - asking to do a "survey" on my recent purchase from Appleseeds and The Tog Shop. I answered some pretty routine questions, then they said our call was going to be "recorded" which gave me a HUGE red flag. This is when the Telemarketer started asking me if I wanted to save 20% and a flat $5 shipping... I knew at that point it was not The Tog Shop, but a Telemarketer, and I told them to NOT contact me ever again on this number. I searched the internet for the phone number, and yes it is a telemarketer, that I assume The Tog Shop sold my contact information to. I've contacted Appleseeds and they've continued to lie to me about it, referring it as an "outbound calling group" - in other words a TELEMARKETER. I can't believe they gave my cell phone number out to a Telemarketer to contact me trying to sell me a SCAM discount membership - I've read on line they've done this to others and start charging their credit card every month... REALLY? It's a shame this is how they treat their customers.
I was charged $1.99 on my Chase Card
which is incorrect. I checked online & apparently this is a scam.
Please removed $1.99. Thank you.
The Tog Shop is unethical.
