very slow and confusing service
I can be going there and wait a long time for my order. Today I waited about 15 min for a sandwich. It's most of the worker is filipino. Seems like bad management even though it's one of the most money making tim horton in canada but bad service. Drive through is no different. Thx you
unfare work & health and safety
Recently got hired by a Tim Hortons, location in the city waterdown, canada. At my interview I was told the position was a full time position for nights. Including baking and customer service.
what is very disturbing that after the second day, I went in for my 3 day of training and saw one of the part time students sleeping on the floor in the cubicle area, where we are trained on Tim Hortons Computer for product and procedures.
This associate had his feet positioned on a chair. The assistant manager at this location, stated that the associate was on his break. Under health and safety this should be looked into for all staff. Anyway I was not impressed how the assistant manager dealt with the situation. ( Please note the space for the training and staff room is not even safe). Tim Horton supplies was also located in the very small area.
The following day the owner who had interviewed me contacted me and stated that they found a suitable night shift person, and I should come into the location to get my wages earned for the 3 days.
I have honestly seen out right unprofessional behavior, no explanation by the owner.
At this time i would not want anyone else to be treated in this manner.

extremely rude supervisor
When we went to see the fire works at niagara falls the night before canada day, it was almost 10 at night and that specific tim hortons was extremely busy. After waiting for about 15 mins. In line, we finally ordered the last two everything bagels they had. The rest of my family had all gotten their orders, not on time, but a little late. We waited for about half an hour for the two bagels but we never got them. We realized that the last two bagels that we had ordered were given to another customer who ordered after us. Then when we tried to explain what happened, while trying to keep it cool, the supervisor started to argue and say, " you have no right to yell at us like that because its isn't our fault!" and it was their fault. They were complaining to us about having a busy night when they should be taking everything under their own wing instead of complaining to the customers. This is no way to treat a costumer, no matter who's fault it is. The bagels were for my little sister, and if she would have started to cry, we could have sued that tim hortons.
We were hungry and we came all the way to see the fireworks but in the end we never got to see them because our order came late, and they started arguing with us. It is extremely disappointing to see not a worker, but a supervisor / manager treat a customer like so. We sincerely hope that this will be fixed.

underpaid and disrepected
I have been working for this company for 5 months and still never recieved my 3 month bonus, on top of that I have trained new people and am not making trainers pay. My hours get cut if I call off a day (Even if my son is sick), i've only called off twice since I been there due to my son being sick. I feel that if it has to do with your child or family member being ill your hours should not be cut, especially if you call before the 5:00pm deadline. Another issue is the manager pretty much called me a "#" (Excuse my language) to my face and talks about "massaging" my throat (Choking me) for whatever reason she feels necessary, she has said it to another employee as well. I feel that I am being underpaid and disrespected.

size
Why is it a company that generates millions every day decides that they need to stary making smaller donuts and people easy with the cream it costs a lot
you gotta be out of your minds dont you worry about peoples feelings

never seem to get my orders right on regular basis
Most often when l go to this Tim Horton's which is the only one in town they can get the order right for coffee but if you order anymore then that they get it wrong. When l bring it there attention that the order is wrong that is one the there attitudes begin. This happens more often then it don't...You ask to speak with the owner (which he is there all day) he never has time to speak with me. Example today l ordered 2 breakfast combos, they are what l wanted to drink with them l said 2 large double double... I get to the window and they give me 2 large double and one combo... l asked were is the other combo, they said you ordered one, well l ordered 2, you did me 2 coffees and that's when she started to give me a rude tone of voice and said l guess l will have to do it all over again you cant seem to make up my mind, we know what you ordered... l gave paid for the mistake and drive away... this happens to often...

This is an easy. Stop going there.
burnt bagel
My husband went to this address and bought me a toasted cheese bagel with butter, my favorite. This time it was burnt black around the edges, so he went back and got another one, when I opened the wrap, it was also burnt black. So I told him to forget it, don't bother going back. They told him after the first complaint that they were training someone, but my bagel was burnt a second time.
Read full review of Tim Hortons and 2 commentsthumb tack in drink
Yesterday, around 530pm I went out to Tim Hortons for a coffee. I had bought a large French Vanilla Coffee along with three donuts. As I got home, I gave the coffee to my 15 year old son to drink, and there he saw a thumb tack lying at the bottom of the cup. If he had not shook the cup or heard a rattling sound, he would have swallowed it. I was shocked to see such carelessness and disregard. They deemed to be a reputable company, but after this incident I do not believe so. My kids have even said they do not want to drink coffee from Tim Hortons ever again. I want to be compensated for having such a great health risk made against my son, otherwise I will take legal action to media or any other source.

false advertising
I met an employee at a family function who exposed a few disturbing practises taking place at the Oliver Tim Horton's. She stated that she had moved from the Coast and that this Tim Horton's broke just about every rule the chain has set forth. She said that they serve 2 hour old coffee, not freshly made every 20min as advertised. They use left over milk from misc. orders and put it into other coffee drinks. She has tried to voice her concerns to management who tell her too bad that is how they do it in Oliver. They also serve days old food products, not fresh as advertised. I will never go to another Tim Horton's and have told as many people as I can about the Tim Horton's practises here in Oliver. This is a very small town and word spreads very fast. I say shut em down!

service
I am staff at hospital.Service is poor waiting in line over 15min many times.Spoke with their manager on site and he just shrugged his shoulders and said nothing. We need a staff line so the public knows staff goes first in that line.We have limited time for coffee and spending it in a line up is very frustrating. We also need faster staff working at the cash
Super slow. Two for two now, my order was wrong. Coffee and a bagel and I'm waiting 4 minutes before its even in the toaster. Understaffed since Tim's employees are also servicing the hospitals cafeteria. Manager on duty does not seem concerned with wait time and stands around watching his lagging staff, but does nothing to be of any actual assistance. Caf should have its own employees or Tim's staff should At Least give priority to orders Already Placed And Paid for, instead of describing what's in a tuna salad while my wrong bagel Doesn't toast itself. No Stars.
It's socialized medicine, bub. You're equal to the pregnant single mother on the street. Get over it.
customer service
I never complaint because I know how hard it is to be a customer representative. However, whenever there is a complaint given, it should be addressed by the ten supervisor and give actions on how toile the establish feel more welcoming and more positive. I usually go to Tim hortons by sentinel and finch: Tim Hortons
1493 Finch Ave, Toronto ON, M3J 2G7. I order the same thing and EVERY SINGLE TIME, there's something missing or I was given the wrong order. Few days ago, I ordered SAUSAGE AND EGG ON A BAGEL ON WHOLE WHEAT with HASH BROWN. I informed them I don't want anything else on it due to my allergies (mayonnaise). As a result, they had given me exact order but WITH MAYO AND NO HASH BROWN. this has been going on for couple of weeks and I've informed them about my concerns but I don't think my concerns are being addressed. Just today, I ordered the same thing but instead, they gave me bacon with mayonnaise. Since this is a gas station, I wasn't aware of the mistake until I returned home. So I had to come all the way back and aske for the right order. When my ordered was being taken, I literally had to repeat myself 7 times - I Kidd you not. I requested to speak for the manager and she refuse to speak with me. How ridiculous and unacceptable this is and I refuse to be denied. I was quite formal and understanding. I did not give any attitude - although I should have. All I want is my concerns to be addressed. Not only this particular establishment almost killed me, It made my day to a bad start already. It's not that I chose this location because I want to- but because its the closest one to my area.
I would not recommend this establishment and customer service should be reevaluated.
Hi ! My name is Marc Dicaire
Im not to happy with the service we had with the Tim Horton in Hawkesbury on the Hyway 174. We went through the drive-true and we ordered a big order that cost us $16.49 it was 1 extra large coffee with 2 sugar, 2 beagles ( double toasted ), 1 BLT toasted, 3 donuts, 1 small frozen lemonade and then i asked her for a small cup with 3 milkers and a lid and she said that she can't do that with mean eyes, and i said why not ? I share my coffee with my wife and i always ask for a extra cup and i never have problem like that at the other Tim Horton, then she said to the lady that works with her "HERE GIVE THIS TO THE DOGS and we all heard it and we all looked at each other, and i was mad because the way she treated us like DOGS. So i went inside to talk to the manager and when i saw the lady that treated us like dogs, i said to her really loud "hey la gros ont est pas des chien " and then we hered a lady say call the police and we did the same . We waited for the police for about 15 minutes so we explained the situation and also the lady was question, but the lady that said "here give this to the dogs "was crying and the police said to me "that i made the lady cry inside so i can feel bad for her, but i was not to happy when we were treaded like dogs. Then the police gave me a paper to go to court for disturbing the peace, imagine all that JUST because i asked her for a small cup with 3 milkers and a lid, but here she was not treating her customers the right way and she got nothing. Thats not right ! Then all the police finish there reports she said to me that i can't go to that TimHorton any more.
I have more to explain, but im very tierd and that was a big waist of time for all of us, because we would of been half way to where we were going. We waisted about 1hour of are time.
p.s. by the way the BLT and the beagles were not toasted . That was the service we had at the TimHorton On the Hyway 174 on May 4, 2013. We will never go there again .
Thanks for understanding the situation .
Marc and Micheline Dicaire
inconsistancies
I find that there is no longer any consistency between the Tim Horton's stores in Calgary. In one, the coffee may be good, but at another the coffee tastes watered down to the point where it is no longer palatable. Or the coffee tastes burnt (what happened to the time limits for coffee to be on the burners?). In some places, the donuts are stale. In most Tim Horton's stores, the service has deteriorated because the clerks either don't speak proper English and don't understand or they don't listen to customers and get the orders wrong. Sometimes they are talking with the other clerks and ignore customers altogether. One PetroCanada station that sells Tim Horton's-to-go, sells the donuts for approx. $0.10 more than at the regular stores. I used to be a regular Tim's customer but no longer. I now make my own coffee and muffins at home.
I am bored with this. I am done. You all have a nice day now !
LOL ... GRIOW is a typo, not a spelling error. I feel sorry for you tasha12. It appears that you have made close to 700 responses to various complaints made by people that you know nothing about ... that tells me that you have nothing better to do with your time. Well, in spite of you being so immature and nasty, I would like to wish you good luck and happiness in your life.
@tasha12 ... does the "12" in your tag refer to your age or what? Please GRIOW UP! I have been a loyal Tim's customer for many years and just thought I would comment on the fact that the service and product have deteriorated over the last couple of years. This is stating a true fact and in my opinion, it is not "pathetic". As for your comment re WIC and food stamps, where the hell did that come from? FYI, no taxpayer has ever had to pay to feed me in all of my 60 years!
gift card scam
I received a gift card for Christmas that was deemed unactivated when I went to use it. I got the receipt from the sender who was a friend and was able to put together the scenario. When the cards were bought the Tim Hortons server had three gift cards on the counter, two of them paid for by my friend and one unactivated. They handed my friend one activated card and one unactivated card and kept the other paid activated card. I call it the Tim Hortons Gift Card shell game. All the receipts and the detailed story I've posted on a website I created called www.rippedoffbytimmies.com
What annoys me is if she hadn't found the receipt she bought weeks before Xmas we'd be out of luck and unable to prove anything. How many other people has this happened to?

bake shop
Well today I went in the drive thru of a local Tim Horton's and I was extremely upset when I found out there was no COOKIES! how can Tim Hortan's be called a BAKE SHOP if there are no damn cookies. I'm pretty sure it takes approximately 13 mins to bake a cookie. That's just pathetic that I couldn't even get a COOKIE FROM A BAKE SHOP. I should've just went to subway instead to get a god damn cookie. UNBELIEVABLE!

Hi I have a complaint for Tim Hortons 2637 in coquitlam about the staff member.i feel like discrimination .And also the staff talk their own language in front of customer.
I CAN NOT GET A HOT CUP OF COFFEE AT ANY TIM HORTONS. WHAT IS GOING ON?
How wonderful that you have no real problems in your life to complain about.
bad customer service
I am a regular, weekly customer at the Wakefield Tim Horton's Restaurant. I would have thought, that since being a new restaurant, the managers and owners would have trained their employees to be excellent and give good customer service. Yet, every time I go there for just a simple coffee, the employees, usually a minimum of 5 employees cannot even serve 2 customers within 10 minutes. Most of the time when I go and grab a coffee most of the employees are just talking in one corner of the store, not even acknowledging the customers. Not only is it rude, but it is also very bad customer service. I am not impressed with this Tim Hortons' Restaurant.

hospitality
Hi, Early in the morning at around 7:15 a.m., I was asking the cashier why is the company is serving a hot chocolate when they know that machine is broken because lately, they've been serving me a hot chocolate for the past few weeks which the hot chocolate is watery and this employee understand that this company shouldn't served it since the machine doesn't work. However, the assistant manager told me that YOU HAVE TO SELL IT OUT and she hit the girl in her head. It is not right to sell to all customers the hot chocolate because they are wasting peoples money, also the work ethic of the assistant manager seems so rude to talk to a customer like me and the way she treats her employees are very abusive. It's not worth it to buy in here and I felt bad for the employees who work with her.
a couple things.
Just want to let you know that this is the worst location in Chilliwack.
I've had the worst service at this particular location. I went in to get a chicken snack wrap and a small iced cappuccino...and they said they were all out of snack wraps, so I just opted to get a small sandwich, ham and swiss- I only brought in 5 bucks with me and it came to just over 5 dollars. I said since you didn't have what I wanted, can I give you what I have because I only brought in 5 dollars with me (not expecting to pay more since I was supposed to be getting a snack wrap). "No."
No sorry, no explanation, no anything. So I just took my iced cappuccino and left.
Wasn't impressed. I avoid that location as much as possible. Oh and they don't have a drive-thru.

xl coffee
Purchased two xl coffees from Tim Horton's, had asked for a tray. I was not given a tray so instead of bothering the staff I tried to carry the 2 coffee out the door. The doors go the wrong way when going out, as the doors push inward. As I tried to open the door the cup folded in half causing approx. 1/2 inch of hot coffee down the front of me. Everyone in the restuarant turned to stare but not to help. I finally got up my nerve to tell one of the staff members to wish I was told "Oh well". I asked him to refill the coffee but nothing happened, he took the cup and then gave it back to me, no change. I went ou to the car set down the coffee and then went back into the restaurant to let them know. This morning I have 2 monsterous blisters from the burn. The company didn't give me the contact information all they asked for was my name which was filled out by me. The supervisor was great, all apologies but I still have a bad painful burn. I've been documenting the burns with a camera.
never fresh or available
Over the last few months it is becoming more frequent that when I go to any one of the four Tim Horton in my area to get a decaf coffee, they do not have it available. I have waited in a car line for over 20 mins, ordered and got to the window only to be told that they do not have it, I leave without my coffee and have just wasted a lot of time. If I go inside and stand in line I pay for my coffee and then when as I am waiting I am told that they do not have any decaf, I am told I can either wait 8 minutes for a pot or I can get my money back. This is really becoming frustrating, regardless of the time of day, about 80% of the time they do not have it.
So much for their"Always Fresh" slogan.

line up system
new line up system is awful. People who came in after you - could possibly get server before you as it depends on what they order and how the employee handles the situation.
Tim Hortons should adopt a express line for coffee / tea only...All other orders should line up regularly.
Also - drive thru's between 5am-9am should be just coffee and donuts.

Well, well. Someone has a thing about filipinos. Wonder what's that all about. C'mon. I'm sure it's interesting.
BTW, Don't filipinos freeze to death way up there?
