Anti Virus
I purchased their Anti-Virus at a discounted price of 19.95. They claimed they had not received it, so I sent a screenshot of my bank statement showing I had paid. They lost this e-mail so I re-sent it. I never received the product or details of how to get it. They have stopped replying to my e-mails asking for my money back as I never received the full product which I had paid for. They have not refunded me after I said I was brassed off with how they (didn't) do business.
Desired outcome: A full refund (after 2 months of trying)

Firstly I definitely dont remember signing up to auto-renew - I check for this carefully normally.
I could only turn off the auto-subscription by talking to one of the online support team. They confirmed the autorenew had been disabled so I asked them to delete my credit card details firstly to make sure there was no mix up later if they tried to take money again and second as good practice not to leave card details where they are not needed.
The online agent refused to remove - said it could only be done if the account was cancelled. I asked them to therefore cancel the account and refund me the unused amount. The online agent refused.
I explained that holding auauthorised personal information was illegal under the GDPR laws - the agent just said he would/count not delete the information.
I asked to speak to a manager and the agent refused.
It is a great product but not worth the circa $120 plus a year they charge. But beware once you start they will charge whatever they like, will not delete personal information.
They are breaking the law and dont seem to care!

never give my information to the antivirus is a pest that i try to remove every web site i open the pest total av appear. today they had to try to charge me 119 dollars in my debit cardn thanks god my bank contact me. like this was afraud i never give my credit card information to total av now my bank put inactive my debit card. i will sue your company for fraud 12 16 2022

After several requests to refund an unauthorised payment of $119AUD, Totalav refused to do so. The last AV protection was cancelled on 30/06/21. The service was heavily discounted at $19AUD a year offer, The normal service is $119AUD. There were conflicting PC issues due to the AV. The cancellation was confirmed by the provider's email. A year later on 8/10/22 Totalav deducted $119AUD from my account for an unauthorised auto-renewal that I was not aware of nor I agreed to it. At the time the money was taken, there was no existing agreement for further service nor I had asked for renewal. Currently I do not have an active service provided by Totalav, nor there were additional products purchased. I uninstalled everything last year.
Therefore it is not right for Totalav to keep the money. My email: [protected]@gmail.com

Total AV has made several unauthorized attempts to charge my credit card $149 even though I no longer need or want their service. I have had to have a new credit card issued twice in the last few months because of them. I'm not even sure how they are getting the new numbers. Fortunately, the credit card company blocked the last 2 attempts and contacted me to see if the charges were legitimate (they weren't) I sent them a Cease and Desist message a few days ago, warning them not to attempt to make any further attempts to put unauthorized charges on my credit card.
Similar to my situation. On 5/10/22 Total Av refused to refund $119AUD. This was an unauthorised payment wrongly sent by PayPal on my behalf because there was an active auto-renewal on the account which I cancelled on 28/06/21. There was no agreement for a service renewal in place. I suspect Total Av put an auto-renewal notice on the account without my knowledge, for its own benefit. On same day that I noticed the deduction, I immediately contacted Total Av and PayPal to cancel the unauthorised payment and refund it. After several contacts with Total AV its staff continued to avoid mentioning a refund. Currently there is no active digital service on my PC provided by Total Av. But on 3/10/22 I was told by Total Av that I am not entitled to a refund due to company policy. This is rediculous! How can a company take someone's money without providing a service and which I did not ask for. It does not make sense. Whatever its policy its clearly not right therefore stealing my money.
Total AV Security renewal
Seemingly, I have been charged for computer security at £119. This was charged to me without any reminder notice from Total AV. I received a PayPal receipt, which requested me to pay a renewal subscription of £119 for security. This wasn't done through me.
I am requesting a refund of £119. I have not downloaded your security package and have also deleted my free subscription use of Total AV.

Worst vpn software & customer support?
TOTALAV sold me their anti-virus and VPN software on subscription.
I had problems with the VPN and their support team chose to try to fix my problem with a remote connection to my laptop. For some unknown reason the support person broke the connection whilst my laptop was still connected to their server with VPN running. I was without any internet access on my laptop for over 2 weeks causing something problems.
This caused my laptop to get stuck connected to something, probably the TOTALAV web-site, which meant that I could no longer connect to anything on the internet.
After lots of useless attempts by TOTALAV support they simple gave up and told me it was NOT their fault, and to pay for a local IT expert to fix the problem.
I knew the problem was with the TOTALAV VPN software, which my paid for IT Expert confirmed.
After at least 25 emails and chat sessions with TOTALAV they have finally acknowledged everything was THIER Fault BUT that they would not pay anything towards my cost of £130 to fix THEIR problem.
They are without doubt the WORST Customer support team I have ever dealt with, and their are the most ARROGANT supplier you ca imagine.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.
Desired outcome: TOTALAV pay me the cost of my IT expert - being £130, plus something for the dreadful experience of their customer support team.
Putting fraudulent charges on my credit card twice
TotalAV.com [protected] is phone number and account name appearing on my credit card. About 2 months ago BofA sent me fraud alert question if the $148.00 charge from TotalAV.com was authorized by me. No it was not. I did not even know who they were. Bank closed that credit card account and issued me a new account and new card. Today I find another $148.00 charge on my new credit card for another $148.00. I never called the company the 1st time. Bank contacted me. This time I called the phone number listed above. Got a foreign speaker on phone. Demanded to know how my new credit card account was charged by them. He told me my last transaction with them was 2018. He also told me they charged the same account. This is impossible as that account was closed and they were reported as fraud. As this is virus software company, I am concerned my computer and phone is being hacked by them as there is no other way the new account was given to them by me. I ask they be investigated for these crimes. I had deleted their software I thought. BofA has put a permanent denial of any charges coming from them for the future and new account being opened again.

Product found unacceptable on scanning for malware as touted, and as it only scans with a Wi-Fi connection or ADSL installation. Server 4G broadband applies. Buyer request for cancellation are constantly met by bribing, coercion and hedging marketing techniques. This application revamp does not apply to my needs. It is cheap and inferior as other quality anti viral protection avails.
