dangerous drivers
This morning, I was driving in Portland and almost got in to many car crash with Trimet buses. The first one was the Trimet bus that the driver seemed to not know which was left and which was right. He/she signed left but turned the bus wheel to right lane (which I was on the right lane and noticed the signal since the signal still on when the bus already got on my lane). And again it happened to the car on the left lane, when the Trimet bus driver changed lane to left again while signaling right.
Second Trimet bus I almost got hit on was the driver did not signal to get back on the lane after he/she picked up customers.
Third Trimet bus happened similar driving method as the first Trimet bus I mentioned above. I was on the left lane, approched the intersection, then suddenly the Trimet bus on the right lane (only half ofthe bus over my car, therefore I did notice the bus was on the right lane) turned the head approaching to my left lane (yes, half of my lane). I startled, and had to brake my car all the time.
There were more, at least 2 more happened the same, unreasonable signaling and even not signal.
So dangerous on the road. I do understand the law that other vehicles must yield public transportation, though, public transportation also must follow the safety driving law. I was with my cousins 5, 7 years old on the car, and we got almost injury if the car crash happen.
Do understand they have to be on time to pick up their customers, though 1 second they could make someone die with their unprofessional driving.
bad customer service
I was at Dekum and 33rd, stop ID is, 7370 I was there at 9:28 pm 3/12/18 as the driver approached I stood on the curb as to make myself visible, just as the bus pulled up I bent over to toss my cigarette and the driver just drives off. I take Trimet everyday to work and coming back I don't appreciate that. I will make sure to spread around how rude some of your drivers are considering they make $40, 000 a year there is no excuse. I want to be reimbursed for the day and would like that [censor] whoever it was talked to, better yet suspended.
the driver
It just happened this evening. I was getting out from a side street. The bus was onn Powell. There was a very heavy traffic @6pm. The driver stopped the bus right @ the intersection, blocking the traffic from the side streets. Luckily, the vihecle behind the bus gave me a brake, so I was able to get out and drove behind the bus. @ the next bus stop, he should be able to stop&park at the space reserved for the bus. He made his stop right at the middle of Powell st and blocking all of the traffic behind.
Your company has been telling the public to give your buses a brake, unfortunately, your bus drivers are doing something completely wrong.
You can track your bus schedule record who the driver to be on this route today. License plate # E271354.
Thx for your attention to this matter. My intention in bringing this concern to your attention is to maintain trimet's image with the public.
incorrect information
Online I was told that January 20th and 21st there would be no service on 72nd and hunziker for the 78 line that I would need to use bus stop number 38 to catch the 78 to Beaverton Transit Center. After standing 32 minutes in the rain waiting at bus line 38 stop for the number 78, the 78 ends up going to 72nd and hunziker on its regular route and I miss that bus. Then it tells me the next bus is in 4 minutes the 78 going to Lake Oswego and it's at the other side of the road for the 38 bus stop. So I run over to that bus stop and wait and that number 78 goes to its regular bus stop and I miss that bus and end up having to walk a mile and a half to the Tigard Transit Center to catch the next bus when the information online wasn't updated stating that there was no longer any sewer repairs going on and they would be back to the regular route.
trimet bus
Bus #3554
New bus drivers should not be training during rush hours. This morning, the #17 bus driver in training arrived 8 minutes late then it stops unnecessarily at empty waiting posts, causing a delay of another 3min to my stop. This has caused an inconvenience, especially for me that I have to run to catch a 2nd bus to reach my final destination. Trimet, please train new bus drivers during down time, working individuals who are in schedule would appreciate it.
driver of 2715
This morning at approximately 0730 I was at the Glisan St exit. Sitting at a red light maybe 2-3 cars in front of me. I was in the far right lane that goes straight to Stark/Washington St light. As the light changed, there was a bus that came along side of me to my left. As it came just past my window I noticed it's blinker was on. I was nearing the intersection, crossing Glisan when the bus came into my lane. I am not talking about slightly inching into my lane, she came into my lane, like I wasn't even there. Just because you know you're in the wrong lane to make a right hand turn, doesn't make my rig disappear. She could've waited until she could fit behind me, But no, I had to slam on my breaks to keep it from taking out the side of my Toyota Highlander. There was no place for me to go because there is a berm to my right and the bus to my left.
This bus was not in service. It had no schedule to keep. Is she exempt from the basic traffic laws being in a bus?
Being a Trimet driver, I am sure she's familiar with the city and is aware of what lane she needed to be in, so she could turn right on Stark. She could have planned ahead a little. If she was driving a Smart Car, Prius or maybe a Focus she could've darted right in there. If she'd given me more notice I could've given her more space, but that's a short distance between those two lights!
I been in the Portland area for a little over three years, and I know all about yielding to those busses, but her blatant arrogance and disregard for me, my rig, my safety disgusts me. She's an [censor] or just an [censor]. I've worked in Trauma here in the city and was on my way to work at the hospital. I see the impact of people's poor choices and plain stupidity all day long.
She, at the very least, should apologize and give some thought as to whether or not she would've done the same to her Mother, Sister or Friend.
Trimet talks all about their priority for safety...She obviously didn't get the memo.
dangerous aggressive bus driver
I was just harrased for skateboarding by a trimet bus driver. At 5:27 pm october 15, 2017 I was waiting at a red light on Dekum crossing MLK. Bus number 3266 Plate number E265002 pulled up close behind me and aggressively used the horn. The light as still red and I jumped because it was so loud and close. I looked around to see what the horn was about and the bus driver was waving his arms at me saying something I could not hear. The point was clear though, he was telling me to get out of the road and to get on the sidewalk and use the crosswalk. He was an older bearded white man. I was surprised and picked up my board a moved toward the curb because he was acting erratic. When I pulled out my phone to take a pic he made a fast right on red down MLK.
This dangerous and aggressive behavior is unacceptable. Skateboarding on portland streets is legal. For a city bus driver not to know the city street laws is unacceptable.
bus 35 at the oregon transit center at 6:30 in the morning or supposed to be
The bus was way farther back than it should have been and it was not at the correct bus stop at 6:30 which it’s supposed to be. I had to walk a block down the road to even get on it. When I did I asked why the bus wasn’t in the right spot and why it was late. I was very rudely pointed at and told to come up to the bus driver. He pointed in my face and disrespected my personal space as well as me. I showed him my ticket and tried to sit down but he continued to berate me and threaten not to give me a ride.
lost and found
I left a full suspension mountain bike on bus 57 on September 16, 2017. Twice now ive been told they found the bike and twice I've gone in too have a silver bmx bike shown to me. Can you teach your people the difference between a bmx bike and a mountain bike, also what full suspension looks like (it looks like a big spring in the middle of the bike and spring on the front tire). Thanks, it was silver, blue and red with gears.
driver not picking up passengers
Sunday 11:15 am
N Chautauqua and N Willis
I sat at the opposite side of the red stoplight and watched as a young hispanic family crossed the intersection legally in front of the bus waving at the driver that they wanted a ride. They stood at the door for about three seconds and the driver never opened. The stoplight turned green and the driver drove off without picking them up. There was no one behind the bus and absolutely no way that the driver missed the family. I am extremely disappointed that the driver was disrespectful and now this family with young children probably had to wait an hour for another bus since it is Sunday.
I believe these comments. I was in Portland on long term business, and could not believe the expense of the pass to begin with (more than almost any other city in the US, if not all of them). I gathered that because half the city seems to ride for free, especially all the drug dealers who ride the MAX on the east side. I repeatedly saw bus drivers letting people on for free after they just rode on the MAX (without paying for a ticket). They would just claim, "Oh, I lost my receipt!" It was pathetic. If you would spend more time policing the stops, you would have to charge so much for passes. Your system sucks. And yes, you do have some rude bus drivers, but since Portland is so PC, they don't want to hurt their feelings by writing the drivers up for bad behavior.
bus never came
Stood at bus stop7381 since 8:30 pm. The schedule bus at 8:39 pm never showed up. I was let off work at the Kennedy School on ne 33rd and Jarrett so I could get home early. Well that didn't happen I am still waiting for the bus and it is almost time for the 9:05 pm bus. I have a 2 hour and 20 min transit everyday to and from work. If I take the 8:39 bus my ride is cut by 40 mins. No reason for me to get off early to stand in the cold at a bus stop when I could have been working. I buy a monthly bus pass, I should be able to catch the scheduled buses. Also I am in a boot from hurting my foot last week. So I am also in pain standing on my leg.
bus driver
A police call was made on this date (Sep 17 2017) by the bus driver of the 15 bus as it was stopped at its break. Initially, I had simply asked how long her break was going to be. She said she didnt know. I waited for the bus to stop and was going to get off when I asked if she was able to tell me how long the break was now. He responded by saying "in spite of your impatience and [#%#@$], it is _ minutes." an argument ensued about how she talked to me for no reason whatsoever. We walked to the convenient store side by side. When she came out of the bathroom, she made up some lie about what I had said, like I make a regular practice of talking [censor] to bus drivers, when it was her that did so for no reason. She then told me I was not riding her bus... She then called the police. Apparently, she also conspired with the store attendant to say that I said I wanted to slap her, when I said no such thing. The police were very rude and disrespectful with me after that. There is no reason for drivers to be so hateful and trouble making. I will be seeking legal counsel, since you have the police on your side from the start and there is no promise of you doing anything about this driver, but I promise you, I will see this through.
trimet bus driver
I don't know his name but he was black and wore black sunglasses and drove the 32 bus driving to clackamas community college from Clackamas town center at 6:20pm on Monday August 7th 2017. Anyways he skipped me purposely when I was standing at the bus stop (#8900) and than when I ran after the bus knocking on the window he stopped and told me he couldn't see me if I was behind cars but I wasn't, I was actually quite in the road. Than when I requested my stop me skipped my stop than when I proceeded to tell him that he skipped my stop and that I wanted off he refused to stop til the next 2 stops which is not okay I should be able to get off when I request my stop. I'm quite unpleased with this mans service. Please give me justice by Doing something about this. Thanks.
busses arriving and stopping at bus stops
Hi, i work at shipitto in tualitin oregon i ride the buss every day but today was not a good day, i arived at the bus stop 13843, at 3pm, when i arived i reviewd the schedule and the buss was supose to arive at 6:08pm, the buss did not show up at that time so i continues to wait for 20 nor minutes, there was still no buss, so i called the trimet number and spoke with a representative about the situaltion, she acted verry rude and told me that the bus did arive there, but as i continued to explain to her that i was sitting there the whole time and no busses shewed up, she told me, well i dont know what to say all i can see is whats on the database, then she told me that the next buss was to come at 3:50 after id already waited for an hour so i waited a bit longer for that one to show up, another half hour passed and there was still no bus, now you probably know how frustrated I was at that point since I had to be somewhere and your bus schedule was incorrect so you guys need to change that or make it more accurate because instead of the wear I had to be within 30 minutes as it was supposed to take I was there in 3 hours from when I arrive at the bus stop so I'm not sure what to tell you but you guys need to find whoever was on that shift and fire them because that is not acceptable
blue like max the 940 pm at the fairground and hillsboro airport
On just got to the platform and it open the door 4 people got off I put hand in the door and the driver closes the door before on got on wouldn't open the door and left I have to walk a half a mile to get to this max it dumb there needs to have a stop on 25th ave were the tennis court's are that's were people live and all the business are I pay 100 a month to ride and it's not right to have to walk a mile to get to work and am on my feet all day but because this driver closes the door on me now I got to walk a mile home because my bus will be gone guess I will have to buy me something to ride and stay away from trimet it not worth me paying 100 to ride sitting on platform for 30 minutes watching 2-3 trains go by before 1 comes along to ride
drivers
I'm sure this won't go anywhere, but it was great to be an out of towner in Portland today and get treated like a [censor] from your drivers. Never been on a bus...trying to get to to Clackamas town center from 12th and Hawthorne. Asked the driver if this bus would get me on my way. No! Doors shut in my face. Love it up here. Next driver shook his head at me like I was stupid. He was really close to a busted nose.
these bus drivers are piece of [censor] here in Portland. I just had one call the police on me because she refused to let me back on the bus after I asked how long her break was! SERIOUSLY! And the police here are no better... they take the side of the business IN EVERY CASE!
44 bus
After waiting 15 minutesâ for the 44 bus to arrive at 5th and Montgomery tonight (at the scheduled time of about 6:16), the driver decided to skip the stop entirely. He saw people standing there, the bus was not full, but he apparently didn't want to stop behind another bus. Skipping a stop and screwing over paying customers is certainly [censor] job performance.
streetcar and max service becoming terrible
The streetcar and the max has been running terrible lately, especially the streetcar. Its continuously late or just doesn't show up at all. Portland use to have amazing public transportation but it seems as though its getting worst and worst each year. The transit track doesnt even show correct times on when the max or streecar is set to arrive. Today it kept switching the times to later and later times until it eventually came almost an hour minutes later. Should never have to wait that long.
bus 2552 on route 21 westbound on sandy
While legally cycling today May 20, 2017 at 1410 hours on north side of westbound NE Sandy, bus #2552 route 21 pulled in front of me at a high rate of speed, totally blocking the bike lane in front of 10505 NE Sandy Blvd. The driver then proceeded to let a passenger off on the curb where there was no marked stop. I felt unsafe and had to lock my brakes in order to avoid hitting the bus. I have held a Class "A" drivers license since 2004 and have over 1 million logged miles without an accident. I currently drive a gasoline tanker within Portland city limits for 12+ hours a day and make it my priority to watch for cyclists and pedestrians at all times. Your driver showed a total disregard for my safety and should be made aware of his actions. I know it is against TriMet policy to let passengers off at un-marked stops, especially when to do so endangers cyclists. Please feel free to contact me at any time. My name is:

a trimet employee
My name is, Alicia Morgan. I'm a honored citizen. On Monday May 8th, at 4:07pm, I got on the bus and proceeded to sit in the first seat. I didn't even get to sit down fully and the bus driver did not wait for me to fully sit and pushed on the gas instead of slowly starting to move and I fell into some seats backwards and hurt my legs badly. I have photos for proof of the bruises I got. Also I'm in a lot of pain because of this incident.
SUE THEIR [censor]! They need to be taken down a notch or two... these smug pieces of [censor] think they can just treat people any way they want to.
