I bought a 2013 dodge avenger a couple of years ago. Financed the car and the car lot financed the level 3 Tru warranty policy. Since then I had 1 claim denied for a non covered part (Transmission Coolant Hose). I started having transmission trouble this year and took it to a transmission shop Im familiar with as being the best in business. I got my car to the shop and started the claim process. Took about a week to get approval but when it was approved Tru Warranty covered a little over 3000.00 of a 3200.00 transmission rebuild as well as the maximum of 250.00 for rental reimbursement. Brandon, Deanna and Ryan of Tru Warranty were exceptionally helpful and always answered the phone, returned calls or answered emails in a timely manner. Without a doubt the best experience as a customer Ive ever had. Thank you TRU WARRANTY
Seems to only cover small things
I am having an issue with my used 2019 nissan sentra’s transmission in which I got about 5 months ago and the nissan dealership says the whole transmission needs to be replaced. Truwarranty can’t not only cover the transmission but won’t answer phone calls or call back. I have the gold coverage of warranty and yet it seems as though it is a waste of money. The transmission is basically half of the car so why isn’t it covered in full or at least partially?

I had to take my Jeep in for service because of some shifting issues. Turns out I needed a new transmission. Truwarranty covered the whole thing. I will definitely be using them again when it's time to upgrade!

Got warranty for 2014 Volvo, Warranty covers vacuum pump seals and gaskets. The vacuum pump is leaking. TruWarranty says it is not covered because the seal failed and not the pump. Typical fake warranty. Don't waste your money. If I could give it a zero I would.

I traded my purchase car in and was due to get most of the value of what I paid on the warranty, however I have emailed and called and have been promised a return call, NOTHING! I am upset, I call and get put on hold for 10 minutes and nothing is resolved, been over 6 weeks, they are very unprofessional

Great company. Was forced/tricked to purchase the Gap and protection from the dealer *** not the warranty company. Contacted TruWarranty and spoke to the owner. He took car of everything and got it straightened out and dealer is now refunding me. Will do business with them in the future for sure. Make sure u do your research. A lot of the complaints are against these sleazy dealers not the warranty company itself.

I have bought many extended warranties in the past from dealers but never had good luck. I always got the run around on why this part or service wasnt covered. I am happy to see that truwarranty is unlike the other places I have used. They actually care about helping customers and it really shows. The service department had no issues submitting my claim for a new engine. All I was responsible was for my $100 deductible. Truwarranty even called me to make sure everything was going okay! Now thats customer service! I will never ever buy another vehicle unless truwarranty is offered!

Its as simple as gettin the required parts for the repair and the time and submitting it! They are always there to answer any questions I may have! Once they receive it within minutes I have an email that the repair is in review! Then they send the approval! I cant wait to buy a new car and be part of the *** TruWarranty Family! Extended warranty was purchased on the platinum package 36 months and 36000 miles. Transmission failed on vehicle, and the warranty was to cover it. After going back and forth with the rep, they refused to answer or respond to my email. They eventually told the dealership working on the repair they WILL NOT COVER THE REPAIR. THEY SENT ME AN EMAIL SAYING CALL THE PLACE YOU BOUGHT IT FROM. My first initial encounter was ok with warranty but now I canceled them and possibly pursuing a brea h of warranty suit. Meanwhile stuck with a 3600 repair for something to be covered! horrible experience.. Do not get a warranty through them!

Wouldn't pay for a thing! Nowhere in the warranty of my new used car less than 300 miles, one car payment in, the car starts to leak, they wouldn't cover it! $2,000 plus worth of problems. I didn't drive it enough?!? Took five days for me with no call from them, had to pick my car back up pay out of pocket, during a pandemic, Not even diagnostic! Where is that stated please show me? Mother of five, no rental, no car for five days, missed my daughter's birthday, only to pay out of pocket money I had to borrow. Nothing fixed! Management hung up on me! So now I have a broken car & paying for a warranty I can even use that's worthless?!? Unbelievable! Thanks for selling warranties to families and not covering a thing. Not even a rental. Not to call the dealer back, ignore them, only to be turned down for the repairs after under a month and under 300 miles put on it.

Shut off engine, close door, radio keeps playing. Took to dealer who indicates faulty wiring in door. $200 job. TruWarranty wont pay. Dealer shares this issue is common to this model. I call TruWarranty and they work something out with dealer. But the manner in which this occurred made me wonder about TruWarranty or SideCars. A couple of months later, my engine light comes on, I take my car in on May 2, 2022 and the service rep says we have to contact the warranty company because there was a wiring problem and several failed parts. TruWarranty advises on May 3 it will only pay $400 and I get to pay $1000. This is a 3-year old truck with low miles but I can see where this is going now. So, I take my truck to another dealer after the repair on May 4 and trade it in and buy a new car for a manufacturer warranty. Have notified TruWarranty to cancel my contracts. The new dealer doesnt use TruWarranty.

If there were an option for zero starts, I would select it. I've had my vehicle for a little bit over a year now and my rear differential started to go. I followed the instructions by getting it to a professional, getting the vehicle diagnostic, and (trying to) file the claim. Edward's *** has called the TruWarranty several times with no call back. I also spoke with them numerous times and they always seem eager to help but never follow through. My car has been in a shop for a week and a half and I have not got a response about a fix or a rental car which my insurance covers. I finally got tired of the run around and called the company with the shop on 3way call just to get a resolution. I have still yet to hear whether or not my car will be covered and now I can't reach anyone on the phone. This is my first time ever having to deal with a warranty company but this experience will most likely have it be my last.
