United HealthCare Services Failure to allow me to see "in network doctors" delayed cancer diagnosis

January 2020 I experienced an issue that required two visits to an ER. UHC refused to allow me to see a less expensive Urgent Health Care physician that was local to me and demanded I drive 80 miles to the one in their "MEDICAL GROUP". I was allowed to use a local hospital.

Preliminary diagnosis by the ER physician was possible Colon Cancer. UNITED HEALTH CARE forced me to change my PCP to a doctor closer to my home that was in a strip mall and should have retired decades ago.

He confirmed what the ER doctors presumed. UHC tried to FORCE me to see a doctor for a more invasive exam that had a 1 out of 5 rating.

I requested to see a doctor that was IN NETWORK and familiar with my issue (Past colon cancer). UHC refused stating he was not in my assigned "MEDICAL GROUP". I had never been advised by their agent that such a limitation existed, only that I could see "IN NETWORK" doctors.

I had to change my Primary Care Physician BACK to my original doctor they demanded I drop, so I could see the doctor that knew my case history.

The delays caused by UHC were about 2 months. An agonizing amount of time for this type of issue.

Because of the "MEDICAL GROUP" Policy I can no longer see my cardiologist that is familiar with my recent triple by-pass surgery, so now I have to start with a new doctor that has no information about my past 20 years of care.

Prior to signing up with UHC all my doctors were confirmed to be "IN NETWORK" and that is why I signed up for UHC. The authorized agent stated he was unaware of the "MEDICAL GROUP" limits.

Medicare has refused to assist, nor any other agency that was suppose address issues of this nature. UHC refuses to allow me to see "IN NETWORK" doctors unless they are in a prescribed "MEDICAL GROUP" and have poor ratings on the UHC website with the exception of my primary care physician.

United HealthCare Services I paid for 5 years and never received help promised

If I had known just how unreliable all the benefits that were promised to me wouldn't be available when I truly needed them after paying for 5 years from 65 to 70 yrs old, I would NEVER have signed up with United Healthcare. I am in the process of relaying my recent experience with having so much difficulty getting a house visit for the first time in 5 years to check my vitals that I wanted to be forwarded to my regular doctor. My family is worried about my blood pressure and heart as the only family I have is 3 states away. If someone is dizzy, feels like they may pass out, and has palpitations they should get a housecall easily with no argument or hassle, especially if they've never asked for one before in 5 years. I would expect to give a refund if I had conducted by own business this way. DISGRACEFUL!

Everyone I know, which goes into the thousands from my business, neighbors, friends, family and those they know, plus my social groups, for which I have over 400 members in my own group plus over 1500 in the other 2 groups I belong to. THE MAJORITY OF WHICH OUT OF THESE 1000s ARE OVER 65. I belong to Seniors social societies that interact with each other. ALL THESE PEOPLE AND THE ONES THEY CAN TELL will pass all this on as well as internet news about your complaints from others and it will affect your bottom line. So if you have no shame about the way you do business, you will feel the amount in your bank accounts. Don't screw with old people, we are mostly baby boomers and know how to fight back!

United HealthCare Services Failed to provide medical treatment to an handicapped senior citizen

Attn: United Health care
Attn: United health Care : Medical Staff
I am a member of United healthcare My Member ID # [protected]
I am a hearing deficient Person and I do not understand phone conversation clearly!
I do all my communication via email, since I cannot hear voice on the phone! Nor do I hear the cell Phone ringing! No matter how many times United healthcare try to call me! I will miss there call
Even if I am able to answer the phone call from united healthcare, I will not understand what is being said on the phone! Because I am semi deaf! Please update this information on your computer screen so you know that this patient is semi deaf and cannot hear Phone calls nor can I hear voice over the phone! Therefore all communication needs to be done via email, and short messages via text
Please make a note of this its very critical! This is why 3 month after my sign up with United health care and I am still unable to communicate with United health care staff! and I have been Unable to get any of my Urgent medical needs addressed to date! Its almost 90 days since I signed up with United health care and I am still at square 1! I have not been able to make any headway in my health related issue, This is why I am sending united health care this urgent note so I can make contact and get my ungently need medical treatment!
I was sent a Health care ID card with preferred doctors name in Jan 2020,

I have been trying to get an Appt. with this doctor and I was told he is not taking any new patients!
I called Health care 800 # and I was given another doctors name in my area, I called the doctor and I was told that an appt. date can be given with a waiting time of 90- to 120 days!
This is unacceptable and bizarre! I need to see a doctor ASAP and I need a name of an internist in my area ASAP who is accepting new patients and will also give an appt. within a reasonable time period!
The urgency is now! Not after 120 days of waiting time! I also like to know who are the approved acupuncturist in my area? and I need the names so I can start calling them up and get in line with an appt. ASAP
I am urgently waiting for Immediate help from United Health care, so resolve my health related issues ASAP, it has been over 3 months since I have joined united healthcare

I am still wondering around lost in the woods and its a colossal task to deal with united health care and to get hold of the appropriate staff from United health care

there is a maze of run around and extremely difficult process to access the United health care officials and seek help and answers to the medical issues which are still pending from Jan 1st. 2020 and now its Middle of March 2020
I have not gotten any credible solutions to my medical ailments for which I need medical attention ASAP
Thank You
Tanweer Khan — Attn Arin, I read you response, united health care giving out face book address to communicate is highly irresponsible and colassal legal infraction of patients and insurers liability and united health care created this pathway to self incriminate its responsibility, instead of providing a safe n secure email address on its website, united health care is evading this feature n this responsibility by side tracking patients on to the face book general public news feed location to patients to discuss thier medical issues! United health care failed to warn it insured members with any cautionary warning not to write any medical ailment details on Facebook news feed! This is the same as united Healthcare asking medical patients to meet at the open fish market to discuss thier medical needs! I am shocked at this gross negligence by united health care to ask thier patients to sign into face book and address thier medical issues at face book news feed! This is legally incriminating united health care direct it patients to address thier medical querrys at Facebook news feed for general public and united didn't warn nor posted any warning to it members patients not to discuss thier medical details! And your reply to my on case by case basic you are now writing to me not to write any medical details at Facebook news feed what about the millions of other united members patients who do not know about this warning which you have written to me, they remain in dire verenability in case of thier medical stare of urgency to discuss thier medical details! All this is highly irresponsible n gross negligence towards the insured patient, United Health care intentionally bypass this normal service and common courtesy from being extended a secure email address to its patients so they can address thier medical issues openly without any fear of writing those details at Facebook general. Public news feed! This also shows united heath care unwillingness to offer its insured a legal process to communicate by those patients who are old handicapped and those who are deaf or mute who cannot hear phone conversations or be unable to speak on phones, thereby providing such patients with a source to write emails for thier urgent medical needs! Regretfully I am one of those insured patients who have been unable to get hold of any united health care staff for past 90 days, this was my only chance and contact info. That was provided by united health care was the Facebook news feed! because of united health care's policy of eluding tactics and irresponsibilty of avoiding patients contact and let them suffer! And now a staff member is writing to me as cautionary warning not to write medical details at this Facebook general public news feed! Exposing United Health area's true outlook towards it insured patients! Regretfully I am an abused insured patient of united health care and finally made contact with united health care staff after Jan 1st. 2020 and signing up with united heath care and I am still medically suffering due to no contact with united health care for past 90 days and I was directed to contact united health care thru its website and asked to address my medical issues at Facebook General public news feed! How shameful and insulting can this action be towards millions of insured patients at united health care Regretfully Tanweer Khan ID # [protected]

March 26th. 2020
My complaint to HIPPA :
I have UNITED HEALTH CARE Medicare Advantage Plan, & they mail me a card with an 800 number contact for medical assistance and medical needs
I called several time and informed united Healthcare customer service that I am a senior citizen semi Handicapped medical ailments & severe hearing deficiency I informed them several time by phone & also by US mail that I cannot hear conversation on phones clearly due to my Handicapping condition, my mind work fairly well so does my eyes, I requested United Health care numerous times both by phone and thru US mail to thier Corporate head office about my handicap & pleaded to either send me my medical related information my US Mail or write to me an Email so I can read & reply
I can read and reply medical issues related to treatment and doctors explicitly, For the past 3 months United health care failed to address my issues nor respond to my phone calls nor respond to my US mails! it was concluded that United health care is a Bias & a discriminating health care Provider! They have knowingly ignored my phone calls and my US mails for help, I asked customer service to note on their computer screen that this Medical patient is hearing deficient & therefore its useless calling on phone, he cannot hearing the cell Phone ringing, and few times when I did connect on cell phone I could not hear what the United health care staff was saying! They have systematically Ignored my plea for the past 3 months & they have made me suffer, United Health care is a dishonest company, They are 100% geared into saving money and not providing medical & health related services! In Past 3 months I have spoken to supervisors and customer service managers & updated my handicapping conditions and my medical issues! Yet United health care staff have been calling and leaving me long confusing & complicated medical messages which I do not understand what they are saying and what is their crux of thier messages! They are well aware of the urgency of my medical needs! yet no one ever bothered to send me the same information by US mail OR by email! even after repeated, request. I begged them send me US mails OR email, which ever was easy! The closest I ever came to communicating with United health care while trying to hunt down a source thru email address of any United health care individual or a a emergency doctor or a staff member, or a staff supervisor!
There is none listed at Major United health care Web site! Except a recommendation to write them a note thru FACE BOOK NEWS FEED FOR GENERAL PUBLIC!?
When I made contact with United Health care at Face Book! I told the medical staff Supervisor that I refuse to wrote my medical history and or discuss my medical condition or the medications I am taking at a PUBLIC site!
This is a open news feed at a Public site & I do not wish to flash my medical Information at a Public site on face book! This is illegal and Violation of my personal Privacy, also I do not want to expose my medical file at Face Book General Public site Nor do I want to discuss my medical condition in written format at a Public site
I refused to write or discuss any of my medical Information at Face book This site is open to general Public and its open to the whole world! This is a Gross Negligent act by United health care to be asking medical patient to be discussing & writing thier medical related information at a Public site Also this is a gross Negligence by United health care to force Millions if medical patients insured thru United Health care to deal Medical Info at a public site, Rather than Providing a secured email site! This was intentionally created by United health care as a deterrent so patient do not write their medical Problems at this site! I have been paying medical Premiums for medical & health care & I have been suffering for past 3 month & United health care has failed to make contact with me & provide medical to date! — Ms. Preston :

I have been a Diabetic type-2 Patient for past 5 years
I have seen half dozen doctors and specialist since I was diagnosed with Type-2 condition
I have already been prescribed by my past doctors to use blood sugar Monitor
All these details are in my medical records!
Why do I have to go and see a urologists, If I do I will have to call make an appt. wait couple of months and than visit his clinic
And pay the doctor couple hundred dollars, to write me the same prescription which I already have in my medical files and than go buy a $50- monitor etc.
This is all waste of time, and bureaucratic run around!
Every patient has the right to check their temp, blood pressure or blood sugar etc. I don't need to go to a doctor to get his permission to get a Blood sugar monitor, beside I already have one at home
I simply need new monitor so I do not have to [censored] my fingers! I have been doing that for past 5 years
I need a monitor that does not require [censored]ing my finger!? and there are units available at Walmart people can go buy one and they do not need a doctors prescription!

I have been trying to contact UHC for past 6 month and they should have responded to my mail directly because I am the insured and I pay premium for this coverage
They should not have forwarded my letter to you without my permission! because I don't know you and you are not my counselor nor my advisor
UHC is not authorized to send my mails to anyone one else! They have an obligation to respond to my mail directly me, and this is their responsibility, and this my right as a patient!
I stead of addressing my medical issues directly to me they sent my email copy to you!
All they have to do is look in my medical files! I have several prescriptions in my file for blood sugar monitor, one from my doctor from Montana, one from my internist, one from my Urologists, and from my doctor from Vancouver when I was with Humana last year! why do I need half dozen permission from various doctors! it take lost of waiting time for appt. and than it cost doctor visit fee etc.
All this is waste of time and money and stress and aggravation and run around!
This is why I wrote my original compliant that UHC has dubious ways to give a patient hard time and lots of run around before they address the patients issue,
It is in the interest of UHC to see if the patient just abandon their approach to get medical assistance and they will just go just simply go away
I switched from Humana over to UHC hoping that this company will treat the patient respectfully, and now it appears like UHC has similar practices as what Humana did to its patient!
UHC just has to read my medical file and they will see several prescriptions for blood D=sugar monitor!
In Order to get this Gadget I should not be required to move mountains to get the monitor,
UHC has never responded to any of my letter I have sent to them! and UHC is negligent to provide due assistance to a handicapped patient, and they have ignored all my past request to communicate with me openly!
Regretfully
Tanweer Khan

United HealthCare Services Misleading information, prior authorization and underlying reasons for why they don't cover this or that.

I have had multiple problems with United Healthcare. It's been a joke dealing with prescriptions, medical procedures, and misleading information. The constant misleading information has caused so many delays in medical procedures, prescriptions, and fighting for each claim to be covered. There is always some underlining reasoning of why it wasn't covered or when I call to verify it doesn't need a prior authorized in the end it does. United Healthcare claims they are about their customers, for work purposes I had to sit through a United Healthcare Meeting, In this meeting, United Healthcare went over all their supposed greatness explaining coverage, cost, etc. I have not once experienced once of this greatness in the last 3 plus years.

United HealthCare Services Website and tech reps broken

I am an in-network provider with UHC patients waiting now for 2 days because your claims and eligibility site (providerexpress.com) all of a sudden, I am not recognized, after several years. Yesterday, 6/2/20, and today, 63/20, I spent a total of more than an hour (when I could be serving patients) with website tech support in response to thee error message that I am not authorize and to contact tech support. I have been submitting claims on the client I tried to submit a claim on since Sept.2019

Yesterday, the tech rep and her supervisor had no idea what they were doing --- unbelievable! I know they screwed up my account even more. Today the tech rep tells me that I will have to wait another 3 days for someone from Tech to get back to me. This is totally UNACCEPTABLE!
Sandra Greensein, LMHC, LMSW, [protected], [protected]@gmail.com

I submit electronic claims with many, many insurers and have never experienced poor provider service!

Yesterday, 6/2/20, I received poor tech customer service by Carmen, Supervisor, ID #874056, and her rep, and today, 6/3/20, by John (alias), who hung up when I asked for his ID #.

If you care about your members, you'll spend some of the tons of money you have to hire skilled programmers and tech support people. Try hiring Americans, for a change. You're wasting money on the foreigners. Try ensuring getting your money's worth, not to mention quality service to your members and providers.

I spent 30 yrs resettling immigrants from all over the world, including instructing them in English as a Second Language instructor. I can tell you with confidence that most of your foreign reps DO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. They can spit it words and phrases, but have no idea what you're saying, as they answer with information that has nothing to do with what they were asked, even after multiple repeats. Try sending some $ in service of your members and providers to train them properly in English -- members and providers would be thrilled to finally not to continue wasting their precious time!

United HealthCare Services Medicare advantage insurance

Over 6 months, for a simple, meager $45 reimbursement claim for dental exam, which they supposedly cover up to $1, 000, united healthcare has given me wrong information, ignored my claim, stonewalled me, put me on holds, transferred me, ran me around in circles, asking for the same information over and over.

I have sent the form, and itemized, coded statement & receipt by us mail, fax (twice), and uploaded message after logging into my account.

United HealthCare Services reporting fraud and malpractice

When, I was either having a stroke or a panic attack, I went to the hospital. The ambulance always goes to Lower Bucks' Lower Bucks fraudulently 302ed me. The one doctor fraud me for $500. She was not in network, but she didn't tell me either. No, one ever helps me with endangerment, fraud & mal practice. That doctor tried to ruin my credit score. A few years later, I fought & won, but nothing was done about it. I was taken there again, when I realized that hospital was Lower Bucks, I called a cab & left. The staff, followed me out of the hospital to laugh, point & mock. My cabbie was there & he noticed & was shocked. Then I went to Aria. I was either having a stroke of a stress reaction. I tried to get help with my abusive husband, in a panic state. He is in federal prison. When, I told them about my husband, they called me manic & delusional. Joel, the young doctor said I was talking fast & I was manic. He was 302ing me & very happy about it. No, court judge & 302 illegality. They treated me like a criminal & I wasn't a lone for a second. One said, "I don't feel comfortable with her." So now, it a crime to be frighten & made in front of my talking. I stayed over night & then was sent to Eagleville. Eagleville is a rehabilitation center. I am not suicidel. Do not do drugs unless they are prescribed, nor drink, but they kept me anyway. The doctor I had, I did not like him & fired him & he kept coming back. I reported the situation & lied to twice. He would agree with me, to my face & behind my back, he would profile me! There is an article on line about my husband & he is dangerous. I showed the one & even so, they called me delusional. You are suppose to report abuse, but try to & you might get 302ed. They did very little for me. I misjudged where I needed to walk & went flying. I would go down slow, but once on the floor, I could not move or talk. The ambulance attendant said, "I never saw anything like this before." All they did was a few test & did not get to the bottom of things. When, I get overly tired it's a good idea to go to bed before I fall down. The way they up set me I have chronic fatigue & I need a neurologist, but that takes money. One woman & two men, told me they were profiled, besides me. They told me they try to keep you there until the insurance runs out. The a woman dying of cancer was put in my room. WHAT WAS SHE DOING THERE, SHE NEEDED HOSPICE. The doctor they gave me, only gave me half my heart medicine & blood pressure medication. I haven't had my medication for about 3 months. I just don't feel so good. As I was leaving, a nurse tried to steal my watch right in from of the driver appointed to me. I got home, I was broken into & my medications were stolen & almost my computer. I was lucky, because I had the SPCA come out to take my Cockatiel while I was gone. She almost died from separation anxiety. I feel a protective investigator was hired by my husband, so he could discredit me. She had been in my house sticking up for the ones who are doing everything. She had 6 police records. When I told my husband that I knew, he was hot under the collar. I still do not know what is going on. I spoke to a police officer a few nights ago & he told me this is prejudice & what to do about it. Today, Monday, 4/13 I called up Eagleville to tell them why I'm not paying the bill. She said, :There was a judge. No, there wasn't & she denied the charge were fraudulent & she refused to give me her name. Once before, a United Health Care once before lied & got me 302ed, because I had a panic attack. Then, I was given a nurse for free, to help me with my health care. She was lying, because he was quickly fired. He didn't give a dang about me, but he made the mistake of saying in danger of being 302ed. They tried it again & I threated him with the police. Now, you can lose your freedom, because they can. I no longer trust anyone & all this did was cause me more depression with all they put me through. About a year ago, some woman came to my door & insisted to let her in. I was only in bed for a couple of hours, so my guard was down. My husband hired her to overdose me. It acted quickly, so I only got the top portion of the bottle. I started collapsing quickly & this woman watch my fall & start walking right out the door, looking quite please. I didn't become conscious for 7 to 8 hours & no one did a thing. This is a year about worth of events, but they are all from the same situation. I do have some proof. I'm also getting proof together for this & other things my family has caused.

I don't have contact number of all provider. How can I sort it. My responsibility shouldn't exceed $6500 but because of duplicate bill it is going above $13000+. Please suggest how I can get the issue sorted.

United HealthCare Services No help for patients who need it.

I am a health care provider who is having problem assisting patient who is in need of home health services. We have exhausted companies in the area who do not take this insurance type. I was told by my front desk that once she phoned the number on back of my patient's insurance card, that there are no case managers assigned to people with this type of insurance and we should continue looking. As a health care professional with an obligation to serve those in need, it sickens me that this insurance company has no resources out there to help them. It seems like no one cares. These patients are being charged to come to doctors appointments and can not be helped. This has to change! Call me at [protected] to see what more can be done for these patients.

United HealthCare Services Payment for health insurance inadvertently sent to prescription address

On March 18, 2020 I called United Health Insurance regarding they have not received my premium payment for health insurance for the months of January, February and March. I checked with my bank and the $192 premium was being sent out but discovered it was mailed to the wrong address. It was inadvertently being mailed to the address for prescription coverage through United HealthCare, which I was also sending a check in the amount of $33.80 for its premium. I requested my money be returned to me so I could pay my health insurance premium. I was told the money was applied to my yearly premium instead. I told them I did not want this to be applied especially since the amount was well over the yearly prescription premium. I was then told they could send me a request for reimbursement which would take about 7-10 days for me to receive and it may or may not be approved, which would take another six weeks. In the meantime, I have three months of health insurance premium due and which will be canceled in 2-3 weeks. I asked to speak to a supervisor but no supervisor was available, evidently they don't stay the entire time they are open for phone calls, so I was informed to call back tomorrow. All I want is to have the money I inadvertently sent to United HealthCare Prescription to transfer those funds to my United HealthCare Health Insurance Plan. The person I spoke to regarding prescription was not aware if this could even be done. I will call again tomorrow and see if I can get this matter resolved. I cannot believe that they didn't try to reach out to advise me I am sending an additional $192 per month!

THIS OTC PROGRAM IS UNBELIEVABLY BAD. I had OTC Essentials last year through UHC and it was easy to navigate, prices were reasonable, myriad products were offered, and there were no added delivery charges, taxes or anything else at all. I could easily choose and order $40 worth of products each quarter without any hassle. All for free. This program has NONE...

United HealthCare Services Rude rep

I contacted United Health Care on 12/28/2020 around 9:50am @ [protected], spoke with Rep Lynn. The rep was very rude. When he first pick up the line, he didn't say anything. I asked for the reason of denial and he stated what UHC was requesting.I asked did I have to mail it or fax, he stated mail. I then went to ask him for the claim number so that I could notate it in my notes for future reference and he shouted Oh MY GOD. I requested to speak supervisor pertaining this call and he wouldn't allow me to speak to anyone. He then stated that all supervisors where in meetings. I asked for REP ID he wouldn't give me any information. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable type of behavior for any company.

United HealthCare Services We need to get paid.

As a mental health treatment provider, We provided treatment services to a client of united health care in April and may of 2017. It is now 2020 and we are still waiting to get paid for those services. After two successful appeals and promises to be paid in 60 days, the latest letter was dated 8/23/2019 and yet we are still waiting to get paid. This is absolutely unbelievable, I have had to stop treating clients as we continue to await payment. Our company name is Transnet Home Group we are located in greensboro, nc. We need to get paid.

United HealthCare Services Insurance drug coverage

I am on United Healthcare through my employer—I don't have a choice. I have been seeing a doctor for 6+ years and have been on the same dosage of a medication for 5+ years. I see my doctor every month and have been very stable on this dosage. At no time has UHC contested it or refused to fill it until January 2020, when they suddenly declined the prescription saying that there was no medical research for the dosage. My doctor appealed but to no avail. UHC will cover a smaller dosage and I have tried it this month (February 2020) but it is not sufficient. It works when I am taking it, but I am losing 4 hours a day when I cannot work effectively or even do chores efficiently due to the missed dose. I simply do not understand why my doctor's continual care and recommendation is not taken into account or why this prescription would suddenly be challenged after five years of approval. I can only assume that it is a money-saving maneuver and that many UHC insurees are suddenly finding their medications challenged in 2020. I would NEVER recommend UHC to anyone who has a choice. My only choice is to pay for the full dosage myself. I can't have part covered and pay for the rest.

United HealthCare Services Web / technical / customer service

A month ago I lost ALL capabilities to login to my UHC portal. I could see OLD plans, but was unable to see my New plan. (by the way I use to be able to prior to 2020).

I have called over 10x requesting help with this.
1. I get customer service, who sends me to web/technical help.
2. web tech keeps me on the phone for 45 mins to tell me they can't help me and they have escalated my concern. They keep telling me it is a web issue
3. They send me a secure message to UHC - which I HAVE NO ACCESS TO.
4. I call customer service again to tell them I can't see the message.
5. They send me over to web/technical, who proceeds to OPEN A NEW TICKET and we have been doing this for over a month.
6. they assure me that any messages will be sent to my personal email - which they don't do
7. and I have to keep calling because web/tech will not call and we repeat the cycle again and again.

I have medical claims that I NEED to see. It is ridiculous that I am unable to login and see my NEW PLAN which has been in place since Sept 1, 2019. No one seems to know what they are doing. This needs to stop. I really need someone to help me get into my portal. It is stupid that I can't see my benefits, or look for a doctor (which I need to do). Please I just want access to my medical records.
