Healthcare plan
I signed up for United healthcare plan. Walgreens plan one and it said I got $50 in OTC products I got an email that confirmed my request. I also got a letter in the mail saying I had $50 OTC credit but when I pulled up my account today it says I only have 40,so I called into the customer service and they are trying to tell me I had 50 last last year and 40 this year which is totally incorrect. I had 40 last year. But the representative Catina that I spoke, to you was going to talk to me like I’m crazy and I don’t know what I had last year I think I’m about done with United healthcare.
Desired outcome: I’d like my $50 OTC credit that I signed up for
Supplement insurance plan n charge - my id # [protected]
I switched over to the new IBM Medicare advantage plan paying $27 a month thru the Optimum Health Company, from my old plan 'N' which I paid $176.00. Now, United Health charged me for both plans on January 5th of this year. No one can have two supplement plans, so I called them to cancel plan "N" and to reimburse me the $176.00. They said they would, but have not done so.
Desired outcome: Refund my $176.00, my email address is [protected]@stny.rr.commy phone number is [protected]
Care medicare advantage issues - otc support non-existent
We are new to United Health Care Medicare Advantage for 1993. My son's U-Card is not being read or accepted at approved outlets. The registers are unable to read the cards and thus we've had to embarrasingly return all the items in the cart to their respective bins.
Then - no matter how many times I contacted customer service for help, I wind up speaking with somebody in the Philippines or India and their English-speaking capabilities are marginal at best - making it difficult to understand anything. All they do is to keep parroting back my issues without providing a solution.
I've now ruined an entire afternoon trying to contact somebody that can actually help us with being able to use the UC card (for OTC items) at an approved store (Wal-Mart) - yet I get the same run around. I've been specifically requesting to speak with some advocates in the US, but that seems like an impossibility because I keep being transferred to different countries.
We were with Blue Cross previously and their customer service reps were accessible and any issues (which were few) were handled right away. This United Healthcare UC card has become a real hassle since we cannot use it at the very stores they approved as being part of the network.
We're beginning to feel regret for having chosen United..
Desired outcome: Find out why my UC card is not working - provide a solution so we can use it properly. It's an easy question.
Need to get my doctor paid under united health care insurance for his time.
Dear united health care insurance I need to get My doctor paid from united health care insurance for a year of his time in 2022 I would like you to pay Dr Jeffrey Metzger for his time for a year of his time because he is a good doctor I really like him as a person and as a doctor. Can your office take on this and pay my doctor for his time. I thought he was on united health care insurance contracted but I learned he was not on this so I need you to pay him for his time. I am now on humana insurance and it is hard on that insurance also somewhat. Ms Jessica Simpson thank you for your time

Desired outcome: I would like you to pay Dr Jeffrey metzger my doctor for his time for over a year of his time this has been a really difficult time in my life this has been a really hard time in mylife .
Claims processing issue
Our provider is rendering services for procedure codes 98980 and 98981 but all the claims for these procedure codes are being denied by united healthcare due to a system error.
Procedure code 98980 is a primary code and 98981 is an add-on code of 98980 (UHC policy Number 2022R0071B). UHC has provided the primary and the add-on codes list in the attachment to this policy but the UHC system is processing our provider claims in the inverse state by considering 98981 as the primary code and 98980 as the add-on code.
We have called multiple times to discuss the issue with the representatives but they are unaware of the UHC policies and advising us to appeal the denials which are incorrect.
So, please check the policy, and make the required updates in your system so all of our provider claims can be processed in the first go. Moreover, review all denied claims of our provider due to this issue and have them reprocessed to release the payments asap.
Desired outcome: UHC system updating to process the claims correctly in the first go.Reprocess our provider denied claims and issue the payments accordingly.
Grievance for Failure to provide services
Dozens of United low quality dentists did nothing for 4 years+ Patient with numerous infected root canals, abscesses, ill-fitting crowns - damaging jaw and other teeth being pushed out of place causing sleep apnea, endless health problems of most organs including cognitive, lung and heart problems. Refusal to cover out of network work after United finally said they would in 2022 - even when heart was so damaged the cardilogist wants to put in a pacemaker.
Desired outcome: Stop trying to kill me by not covering this with continuous hoops to jump through. Pay for everything to restore my teeth and jaw.
United Healthcare Medicare Supplement Plans in Sonoma County CA
We were advised that UHC had the best coverage and physicians in Sonoma County for Medicare Advantage and Supplement coverage, but after enrolling and seeking a primary care physician have found that the ONLY thing available (if we can wait until February 27, 2023) are a couple of nurse practitioners. Every listed physician with any experience and reviews are booked with a waiting list of 8-12 months. My wife and I are very healthy but have a couple or ambulatory (sciatica) issues that need attention. Trying to find a local physician that accepts UHC Medicare supplemental coverage is an unbelievable hurdle with little if any help online.
Very few doctors in Sonoma County, so be wary. Sutter Hospital, the closest hospital, is not taking patients. The alternative Providence only have doctors with a 4-12 month waiting list. Seniors cannot wait that long.
Desired outcome: Assistance in finding qualified experienced physicians.
UCard benefits card for 2023
Beginning January 1, 2023, my new UCard will cover utilities and internet, as well as OTC products and healthy foods: But United Healthcare has provided no information whatsoever on how members are supposed to set up the UCard with utilities or internet providers, in order to make monthly payments! I phoned agents at both United Healthcare and at my energy provider, Consumers Energy. Neither of them has a clue as to how I can use my 2023 benefits to pay utilities!
Desired outcome: I need to know how I can make payments for utilities from my UCard by January 2023.
No senior should be left with more questions than answers at their HMO, for lack of info which should be provided weeks in advance!
On the back of your Ucard there is a number for Healthy Benefits plus hotline. Call them and they will add your biller information. You will need your account number the name of the biller and how much you want to pay. Hope this helps.
Deceptive practices
I went online and was looking into health insurance and all kinds of agents called I was told the insurance would be $475 per month and if I wanted Dental, it would be an extra $8.00 per month. I constantly told them the $475 was out of my league. I was told that if I didn't make the first payment my coverage would not be in effect which was fine by me because I didn't want it. I never received any welcome letters or medical cards, so I never thought anymore of it. Since open enrollment came around, I found a more affordable plan with Cigna and I'm pursuing this insurance. I was totally surprised on December 13,2002 I was charged $134.27 by united health one I immediately called around to no avail once I found the correct co. I asked why I was charged? They said it was for two months of coverage of dental, vision, life insurance that I never agreed to purchase. I asked for a refund and was told they could return 36.00. I never even had a policy number and why if they claim I signed up in Sept why would they be stealing from me in now.
Desired outcome: Full REFUND
I am complaining about unreasonably taken home hours after a telephone interview by a person unknown to me by unknown
My name is Anna Kogan. I am 84 years old. I have been a member of the United Healthcare company for many years. Memder AD [protected]. I had a sufficient number of hours of home care, despite my deteriorating health condition every year/severe anxiety syndrome, arthritis of the joints of the hands, degenerative changes in the spine with constant pain uro - gynecological problems and so on/. On December 1-st, an unknown company Carebridge sent me special I-pad and on December 2-d an interpreter called me and connected with a woman who called herself a nurse, she was interested in my state of health, I never saw her just like she did me. It is impossible to judge the nature of my illnesses without seeing the patient, I say this as a doctor. After this interview, they took me away 5 hours of care. Such an irresponsibly decision caused me a sharp increase in blood pressure, anxiety attacks reappeared. Please, urgently return me unjastifiable withdrawn care hours. 2022 is ending and I will have to leave your company that allows unknown people to control the fate of sick old patient. At the same time. I am writing a complaint to Medicate. Anna Kogan
UHC Insurance
I have an EOB (explanation of benefits) that came from Texas. I called on this 3 times on the phone number on my UHC card. I got a reference # the second time and have spoken to one other person. I have been promised a call back the following day, and 5 days later still waiting for that call. I was told many times, on a recorded phone call, that my EOB was not a UHC EOB and not valid. I tried for hours to explain that the EOB was from UHC. I was finally allowed to email the EOB to a representative, Klinton, who did not keep his word and call me back the next day, nor any day, as of yet. The EOB has my policy as AARP MCARE Advantage Focus. I do not have that policy. I have UHC Medicare Advantage Assure PPO for 2022. The UHC Foucus plan was a plan that UHC put me on for next year 2023 because my current plan will not be offered next year. I denied that Focus plan and have obtained a Medicare advantage plan elsewhere for next year 2023. UHC shows the 2023 Focus plan has been denied by me and its on their records. So, why is my EOB showing a plan on it that I do not have and was scheduled for NEXT YEAR for billing this year? Why isn't my current 2022 plan on this years EOB and claim from October 2022? My deductible has been met this year yet this EOB says the claim is denied and that I must pay the $712 for the bill for my deductible? My doctors office needs to be aware of the billing "mistake" and get this bill to the correct place so I am not billed when I have insurance to cover it. I am going to contact the insurance commission regarding this mess and the denial of my claim that should be paid. my reference # is i352177183. As I type I have been on the phone for 28 minutes waiting to speak to a supervisor and now I have been hung up on with no one answering after 28 minutes.
Desired outcome: Fix this mess
Customer Service!!!!!!! Requesting Qualified Healthcare Letter...
I've requested a Qualified Healthcare letter many times only to have it delayed or processed incorrectly... I'm trying to take advantage of the insurance reform in the State of Michigan and need this qualified healthcare letter every six months for my auto insurance. The employees at United Healthcare don't have a clue what this document is or how to prepare it. I've tried different tactics to obtain this document from them and always get disappointed with their effort. I still to this day haven't received the correct document with the correct information needed for my auto insurance company. This is costing me time and money...
Desired outcome: Educate and insure all employees know how to process a Qualified Healthcare letter.. Send my Qualified Healthcare letter ASAP!
Request a claim form
Moved from Pennsylvania to Florida and dropped BC/BS because of the cost and picked up United Health care, This policy took effect March 1st 2022. I use CVS as my prescription pharmacy. I went to CVS on March 1, 2022 and gave them my new information switching over from BC/BS to UHC for both myself and my wife. My wife and I both switched to UHC on the same dates. On 4/22/2022 I went to CVS to get a prescription filled and again told CVS that I had switched to UHC. I didn't know it at the time but they billed BC/BS. on 4/25/2022 my wife went to CVS for a prescription and we told CVS again that we had UHC and not BC/BS. on 6/05/2022 my wife went to CVS again to get another prescription filled. Once again we to them we switched to UHC. I received a request for overpayment recovery from BC/BS in the amount of $982.84. I immediately called CVS and asked them why they billed BC/BS and not UHC. They could not give me an answer except I had to straighten it out as it was too far in the past for them to retract the info they sent to BC/BS. I called UHC and requested a claim form that I had to fill out and mail back to UHC. I have talked to Pedro Castro on 11/16/2022 and Raymond on 11/21/2022, and Lee on 11/25/2022 requesting a claim form. All of the Agents have put me on hold for 30-40 minutes. Today is the 5th of December 2022, I am on the phone and was talkeing to Nelson, he has put me on hold and it has been over an hour so I am typing this complaint in the hopes it gets to someone who can help me with my situation. I am a disabled VET and cannot pay the $982.84 that I didnot make a mistake but CVS did and UHC will not apparentlyHelp me either.
waiting for Nelson to come back on line as he has put
Desired outcome: I would appreciate it if I could get a claim form to submit to UHC. I would also like a apology for the run around UHC has put me thru.
Customer service
I am a severely disabled individual. I signed up with UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage because my disabilities require the extra benefits they provide. I have been with them for 4 months, and have made countless phone calls to them about various things. I have never been treated SO POORLY by customer service agents. I even tried to file a grievance against one and they refused to provide me with any kind of copy or proof of the grievance (despite assuring me that I would get it at the beginning of the process)!. I'm in the process of contacting corporate because I know from friends and family that my experience is not unique. These agents are uneducated - uneducated about the needs of the disabled community, uneducated about more than just the basic things concerning insurance, and uneducated on how to effectively listen and communicate. Some of them have been dishonest and disrespectful. Most of them have no care or compassion for your needs - even when the needs are to keep your body alive. They give you inaccurate answers to your questions or they walk around it altogether. They sometimes lie to appease you, its happened to me several times and I find out later the true information. It is DISGUSTING behavior. Unitedhealthcare's insurance and benefits are EXCELLENT, but dealing with their advocates and agents is a nightmare that generally leaves me screaming on the phone and in tears after.
Desired outcome: Fire dishonest/consistently inaccurate reps. Provide education about different insurance issues, disabilities, and communication/listening. Create a way for people with complex issues to get in touch with more experienced/educated agents.
email me a copy of my last monthly payment, please
I need a statement
United healthcare dental insurance.
I was referred by my dentist to see an oral surgeon regarding a bone overgrowth in the lower gum line. I visited two oral surgeons that both advised removal due to an infection. I scheduled and had the surgery performed and UHC denied the claim. Over the course of two months I've had numerous conversations with UHC advocates and have yet to receive a coherent explanation. I pay a monthly premium to United Healthcare for dental insurance and they simply refuse to pay the claim.
Desired outcome: Pay the claim.
disability services
am very disheartened at the lack of communication for UH. Quickly:
UH sent letter for recertification in sept; did not receive the letter til mid Oct.
forms returned to UH right away
UH asked for doc to complete a question again; which he did ;
submitted by Fax on Nov 9th
I faxed a letter again Wedn Nov 23 inquiring as to status
I faxed again yesterday Nov 30th
and again I faxed today to [protected].
per UH (and Benefits solver) he is covered til 2/28/23 but until I get the short letter "statement of continued eligibility" am not satisfied; You get the run around when you call, no-one wants to take responsibility I know it is open enrollment but NOT MY PROBLEM. If UH cant get to these matters timely then hire more people. I am going to assume we have coverage but this is POOR POOR SHOW.
Desired outcome: a proper response with the letter "statement of. continued coverage"
Website login
I have been trying to log into my UHC account for two weeks. I have my health safe login. It gets me to the dashboard page, but the content never appears. I've tried to get on with the app, but after I enter my health safe id, it gives me an error message and tells me to try again later. I don't see anything on the webpage that would direct me to tech support.
Desired outcome: Please direct me to the appropriate place to resolve the issue.
Cardiologists Referral
I had 4 bypasses in Sept 2022. The hospital referred me to a cardiologist and that doctors office never returned my calls to set up an appointment. For 3 weeks I left 7 messages.. I even left messages with the physicians nurse several times but never heard back.
I filed a telephone complaint with UHC and they referred me to a new cardiologist. After waiting another 3 weeks for this new appointment, the new cardiologists did not accept my insurance.
I've been having chest pains now for 4 weeks and I have spent hours over the last 2 weeks requesting another cardiologist and nobody calls me back to confirm anything. Twice Ive asked to have a supervisor call me but I've heard nothing.
The foreign accent speaking staff at UHC that Ive spent hours with just sweep these issues under the rug and say they have no history of my calls or complaints.
I don't know where to turn.
Desired outcome: Have a damn supervisor call me that doesn';t work for that foreign call center. My telephone is [protected], Richard Ross DOB 08/30/1956
Phone Call
I received a phone call that read United Healthcare Andover, MA and the robocall said it wanted to talk to Tim McConnell and then I had to verify various information. If you want to talk to me have a person call me not a machine. I hung up because I don’t even know why you were calling and when it’s a machine call I have zero interest in getting some random type call. Thanks for nothing.
Member ID [protected]-00
Desired outcome: Personal respect
Harassment
I have called many times and spoken to every possible person since March 2022 demanding to be removed and deleted from their system.
They always say "ok, I have removed you from our system" - and yet they still send me mail every week that looks important or official and I open it just to see another add begging me to use their insurance.
I still get phone calls and voicemails every week!
First, United Healthcare doesn't work with the hospital's, specialty clinic, or the pharmacy I have established care with.
The second person I ever spoke with was a Latin female who made it clear she did not like me and proceeded to erase the appointment I set up to speak with an insurance representative. While maintaining a constant stream of harassment to my house and phone without ever having spoken to a single insurance broker when I started looking for plans. I will NEVER give them my business.
I am so sick of them harassing me. This staff is unprofessional and I will NEVER enroll for their care! Stop harassing me.
Desired outcome: I want United Healthcare to STOP contacting me for good and delete me entirely from their database.I'd like an apology and a confirmation that this company will never contact me or my household again for the rest of my life.

I was promised and received repeated phone calls from UHC that I would receive a $75 MasterCard that I could spend anywhere it and that it would arrive into the three weeks after HouseCalls. Nothing happened. I had to actually call them to get my UCard in March. They are now trying to tell me that there’s $15 on the UCard to spend on their catalog which is:
a direct violation of the anti-kickback statute because the money is reroute it back to them.
I told him that wasn’t what I was told after speaking to three people the fourth one today said it’s $15 on the UCard and one then said $60 because $15 is already on the UCard. I DONT THINK SO.
I explained to them that is not what I was told; I gave them names of the people who told me that, I was referred to the renew program and the guy never came back to the phone.
I was a nurse for 34 years.
I told them that I find them predatory and parasitic because there are people out there my age that I used to take care of -I’m 72- who have to choose between cat food and medicine and offering them $75 is a big [censored]ing deal to these people who are in cognitive decline, helpless and easy marks.
I have never seen an insurance company this corrupt. Run do not walk to another insurance company‼️🚩
They are scammers.
I had heard bad things in the background about United Healthcare in the past, but I had no idea the depths to which they have fallen.
I believe they’re actually potentially dangerous because the “first do no harm” credo is something they’ve never heard of and direly not acquainted with.
AND THEY DON’T CARE.
