non response
I have been trying to register from 12 January. I received an error and mailed Unisa as per the error I have received back. I have since then mailed them 12 times, sent an sms, tried to phone, complaint on Facebook and sent a fax, and still I have not received a response. I also had a problem in August last year, sent 5 mails and I am still waiting for feedback. I cannot understand how Unisa wants to do business. They have absolutely NO service levels, and now they are on strike. Asking for more money for doing nothing!

no response from unisa in over 7 months
I have been waiting since July 2017 for feedback on my credit application.
No one has ever been in contact with me and so last year I ended up writing exams for subjects I am certain I should have received credits for.
It is now time for registration again and I need to have feedback ASAP in order to avoid writing subjects again which I should be credited for.
When I went into unisa they told me I should expect feedback within two months- it has now been seven months.
I have been emailing an individual in the CHS department, who advised me that my emails have been forwarded to the Adhocredits supervisor, and yet I am still waiting for a response.
I call almost everyday and no one answers their phones! They just ring, or I get cut off or the numbers do not exist.
Today by some miracle I spoke to someone from another department who besides from being extremely rude and unhelpful told me there is no way I can get hold of the Adhoccredits department telephonically, and that there is nothing he can do or no one he can refer me to. This is ridiculous because no one from the credits department or any department for that matter ever responds to my emails.
I am now desperate and have no idea what to do.
I am going through the same thing, I applied for credits in Feb 2018, Ive been going from pillar to post trying to get feedback but nothing. The number on the unisa website does not even ring, I sent countless emails to adhoccredits@unisa.ac.za but I get an automated response everytime. I even resprted to contacting my faculty but no help there either. This is so frustrating.
I am so sorry to hear this. Honestly it was the most frustrating thing. I ended up rewriting some of my exams I should have gotten credits for and only at the beginning of this year I managed to get hold of someone who assisted me in getting my last two credits (I should have gotten 5)
His name is Gilbert Mathebe and he really went out of his way to assist me. His email is matheg@unisa.ac.za
Give it a try, send him a detailed email and hopefully he will get back to you and be able to get you some assistance.

customer care phone lines
I am a student at UNISA. I was supposed to graduate and should have recieved information about my graduation.
I phoned Unisa's info services 25 times and everyday it's the same thing. I was trying to find out about my graduation.
The voice on the phone kept on saying that they'll be with me shortly but nothing happened! I then emailed them, a dew times, but they never replied.
How do they expect us to know what's going on if they never answer their phones or respond to emails?
Our hands are tied. I can't do anything and I'm so frustrated. What are they going to do about this!?
I am very dissapointed!
exam script purchase request
on the 6th of December after getting results for Oct/Nov exams i requested to purchase my PISMO1V exams script paid the E50 fee money reflected on my account after two days. eng3702 lecturers incompetent
1. Lecturers for this module appear to be as ignorant as the students because they fail to respond or to help students with regards to modile content.
2. No assignment feedback have been provided even with exams 2 weeks away.
3. No exam scope provided either
4. I am surprised that no investigation into this module has been conducted considering that a huge number of students appear to fail this module. Which i believe is a reflection on poor academic assistance, incompetent lecturers and absence of productive feedback( unlike ENG3701 & ENG3703)
scams and spam coming from unisa student email accounts
To: UNISA MyLife Email Account Administrator or Security
Message: On 10/4/2017 I received a scam, indicating it was from a UNISA student email address, texted to my cell phone. I will paste the message at the bottom of this text box. It appears, with a little online research, that using UNISA student email addresses for this purpose is far from a rare occurance.
Are you doing something to combat this on your end?
Don't you do security screening of your email accounts?
I was unable to locate a way to report the "sending" account on the UNISA site. I should think you would like to be informed when your email accounts have been co-opted, stolen, or are being used for illegal or nefarious purposes. A link on your site to your information security section might be able to help stop or curtail this activity and could improve your school's reputation.

no response to email enquiries. case number: 17264nx00004
Good day. I applied to do a Bcomm in Supply Chain and Operations Management. I was advised to submit the supporting documents to UNISA. I received an email from UNISA stating that I have been accepted for HC: Econ and Man Science (this is not the course I applied for) and emailed to enquire about this error on 11th September 2017. I proceeded to UNISA with the required supporting documents and submitted it on the 14th September 2017. I was advised the admissions office will get back to me. I emailed UNISA again on the 20th of September with above and received another email today (29th September 2017) stating I am invited to register for HC: Econ And Man Sci. I have not recieived any corresponse from UNISA regarding my previous email enquires as well as my application to study the Bcom in Supply Chain and Operations Management. I would appreciate if UNISA could get into contact with me regarding my queries. Kind regards.
transcript request
I have contacted UNISA a couple of times through emails requesting my academic transcript without any success. I have not even received any email or correspondence. I feel that we pay a lot of money to study with Unisa and that this is just very poor service. I am not in South Africa and I am not able to visit the campus to request it in person, nor am I able to request it by post as I do not have a postal adress in South Africa anymore. I need this document for my workpermit in Thailand and it is very urgent.
Please assist.
Kind regards

rejected application for [protected] miss n. a. tsotetsi
I applied to study for a Diploma in Human Resource Management at Unisa. Then on Tuesday 5 September 2017 I received an e-mail saying that my application was rejected because I do not meet the requirements for the course. I called in on Thursday 7 September 2017 to ask precisely why my application was rejected, and I was told that, since English is a second language on my Senior Certificate, the requirement is C symbol in HG and not D as stated on Unisa's website.
My concern is that, it is not mentioned anywhere on the requirements that the symbol must be C if English is my second language. On the website it states that the requirements on a Senior Certificate(SC) must be:
1. At least a D symbol on HG or C symbol on SG in the language of teaching and learning.
2. At least an E symbol on HG or D symbol on SG in Mathematics.
I have a B symbol in Sesotho HG, a D symbol in English HG and C symbol in Mathematics HG.
I applied to Study for the same course in 2011 using the same results and I was accepted, but due to lack of funds I couldn't continue with the studies. Why am I being rejected now?
I have funds that I applied for knowing that I do qualify for the course since it's not my first time applying, and we are just waiting for that application to finalise the funding process.
I need my application to be accepted.
My cell phone number is [protected] or [protected]
unisa assignment submission
I want to know how can Unisa send out an sms saying that all Assignments 1+2 has to be submitted on 31 August for students that was registered late and also didn't receive their study material yet. . .
Then even though the assignment was submitted on the date UNISA gave now they give us 0% and say our assignment was late so it is not being marked. . .
We pay our student fees but most of the time the books at UNISA is out of stock and late if they arrive. . .
Now students are being punished for UNISA not doing their side!
no one answers telephone calls
I applied for registration one month ago, and paid the fee immediately. I still have had zero feedback on the status of my application. I had some queries about the course, and so I clearly laid them out in an email, as their website states this is a better means of communication than telephone. However, all I received in response was a message saying to check their website (um, this is how I submitted my application in the first place!) Upon trying to call to have my queries addressed, the call either drops immediately or is cut off after a few rings. How are students supposed to get an answer, or register for their courses?! UNISA is extremely strict about making the registration deadline, or you will not be eligible to study with them. It's impossible to do so if there is no way for students to follow up with them, or make any queries (some of which cannot be answered via the website). Please answer your phones UNISA!
Although I never succeeded in getting through to Unisa via telephone, I have finally received some email correspondence back from them, which is helpful. Thanks, Unisa, for making contact with me!
academic certificate
I completed my Postgraduate diploma in accounting science (98255) in March 2017, after the release of supplementary results. I got the results informing me that I had passed, however, to this date (5 September 2017) I have not received my certificate as my results have apparently not been audited. I was told this auditing process would be completed within 8weeks of results being released but I am still waiting. I have tried calling UNISA and phones ring unanswered, emails get an automated response and no assistance. It has been 6 months and my academic record still shows that the qualification is incomplete. Please help.

no response to emails or calls
I am currently struggling to get assistance for modules of mine that have been placed under non degree purposes and I fall short of my BA degree according to this. I have sent various emails and tried calling and have been to the Parow campus but nobody can assist me.
The curriculum for 98681, BA degree in Criminology I was informed will change in 2018. My student number is [protected]. I must write one supplementary exam in October.
receiving my books
I have no idea why you stopped using skynet for college of agriculture students i've been tracking my study material and it was dispatched on the 22nd of july today it is the 28th of July after calling that VSC couriers several times they decide to pitch today and they dont even call prior since i was waiting for them the past 4 days then they tell me the was no one to leave my books to you know what im super angry i am really really irritated by they service
no feedback
I received funding for the 1st Semester. For some reason UNISA added R930 to my funds after the payment was made. I contacted [protected]@unisa immediately and I was advised by PW PHATOLI on 15 June 2017, that the outstanding funds would be paid. I have followed up almost on a daily basis via email regarding the payment but don't receive any feedback. I finally received an email from Sam motau stating i must always add my student number to the subject line. I then resnt the email and sent the student number as requested. I have again followed up daily on the payment via email. I have tried calling all the numbers provided on the MYUNISA site, however they either ring or don't exist. I am unable to view my 1st semester results ad registration closes in 2 days (Friday 21 July 2017) How does UNISA expect me to register if i cant even view my results? Also should i have failed an exam which was on the list of 275 modules that receive a supplementary exam due to late arrival of study material, how would i apply for this? There has been no further correspondence from UNISA regarding this matter.
I am complaining about service
I applied for B.Ed and I got into the extended programme for B.Ed I finished this semester with the extended programme then I got an email from Achieve Ubini stating that HC in abet students can apply for B.Ed that they would be given an opportunity to apply and register in the beginning of 2nd semester I and to apply you need to visit an unisa office or send an application to [protected]@unisa.ac.za I then sent an email asking to Achieve Ubini asking if this email applies to me as well as I did the extended programme. He then applied yes. I called and emailed a lot getting no answer and when I did they told me different stories I then spoke to Aphule she then said that I should apply in august for next year and when I spoke to her again she said that she would send me application forms so that I can apply I haven't got anything from her. Then I emailed [protected]@unisa.ac za more then I can remember and got a respond from Rosinah who then said that I should apply in august this is so confusing...How can you work for unisa but you can't help the students everyone is telling you something different how must we "the students" KNOW WHAT TO DO IF THE UNISA STAFF CAN'T GIVE US RIGHT ANSWERS...REALLY POOR SERVICES AND WASTE OF TIME
financial cancellation of a module when the money has been paid and ndp modules
Dear sir/madam
I paid what I was owing to the university but one module says financial cancellation which I do no understand because I have paid, there are also modules that were put in the ndp and I suspect that that is why I have been unable to finish my degree is there a way to resolve this? I'm student number [protected], also the financial details on myunisa are incomprehensible please assist, also your phones ring unanswered
I'm also experiencing the very same problem. I still don't understand how UNISA works. On my financial details it shows that I have been refunded for the module they have canceled (without my consent), of which I submitted the assignments and wrote an exam for. To this day I'm still puzzled.
