Business is not able to provide support and simple task like updating expiration date on payment method is near impossible
Business is not able to provide support and simple task like updating expiration date on payment method is near impossible. Once I was able to get support agent to update payment info, it reverted back to incorrect info soon after and all payments were getting rejected. Their services are buggy and not well maintained.
Whether fraud or a clerical error, the company issued an erronous 1099 form in my name
Whether fraud or a clerical error, the company issued an erronous 1099 form in my name. I have never done business with, nor heard of the company. I have contacted the company numerous times for a correction and have never received a callback. This company is irresponsible and uncommunicative. The IRS will be investigating the case.
Review:
I gotta say, somethin' fishy is goin' on with this Vacation Rent Payment company. They sent me a wrong 1099 form with my name on it, and I ain't got no clue who they are! I've been tryin' to get in touch with 'em to fix this mess, but they ain't bothered to call me back. Can you believe it? They're so irresponsible and don't even bother to communicate properly. Now, the IRS is gettin' involved 'cause of their mistake. Can't trust 'em, I tell ya!
I tried to make a payment through a management company using Yapstone POS system
I tried to make a payment through a management company using Yapstone POS system. The management company attempted to process four credit cards with sufficient credit, but all were declined with an error code saying "restricted account". Now the property management company wants me to Venmo the funds to secure the reservation. Why can't Yapstone assist their customers in processing payments? They should rename this company ***!
VacationRentPayment is a scam
VacationRentPayment is a scam. They make you sign up, but then they deactivate your account. Even though you can't use your account, they still charge you a monthly "fee." If you want to cancel, they hit you with a $500 "early termination fee." But hold on... if my account is inactive, why do I have to pay? This company is a joke, don't use it. Also, they don't provide any Point of Sale equipment for *** Companies with retail locations. I had no choice but to use my Stripe account and ended up finding a different processor for my VRM / PMS system, barefoot.
I had the same problem as **** H in December
I had the same problem as *** H in December . I tried to make a payment through ***, but I got an error message saying, "Payments are currently restricted from that account." I received this error multiple times, even though my credit cards from three different banks usually work fine. The banks confirmed that there were no records of any charge attempts. *** told me that the issue must be on my end, but the property management (PM) company assured me that other customers were able to make payments without any problems. It's frustrating that VacationRentPayment has disabled their phone customer service, and their email customer service only sends a generic response stating that they can't accept payments directly and that I should contact the PM company.
It's unbelievable that a company like Vacation Rent Payment is still in business with such terrible customer service
It's unbelievable that a company like Vacation Rent Payment is still in business with such terrible customer service. The higher-ups need to wake up and take action by firing the senior management before things get even worse. As a homeowner, I've been dealing with a problem for the past 2 months. A VRBO traveler accidentally charged back, and it took Yapstone a whopping 2 months to finally admit that the chargeback was reversed (even after the traveler's credit card company provided evidence multiple times). And guess what? Yapstone still hasn't paid the money they owe. VRBO is not innocent in this situation either, as neither the traveler nor I have any direct agreement with Yapstone - it's all through VRBO. But VRBO tries to wash their hands of the problem and leaves us to deal with Yapstone, even though we have no contract with them. And to top it all off, Yapstone doesn't even have a phone number for customer service. You can only expect a response to your emails in 3-6 days. It's absolutely terrible.
This company is terrible and sketchy
This company is terrible and sketchy. Yapstone is the credit card processor used by the property management website we recently started using for our vacation rental business. Setting up a merchant account was easy, but we ran into problems when the first two rental payments were processed. According to their ads and agreement, Yapstone should have deposited the money into our account within 1-2 days. However, four days went by and still no deposit. Finally, we managed to contact someone through email and they casually mentioned that credit card settlements now take 15 days due to Covid-related risks in the industry. Yapstone never bothered to inform us about this change in deposit terms. After reading the reviews, I'm really hesitant about continuing to do business with this company. I've seen a lot of talk about a potential class action lawsuit, and I believe it's only a matter of time.
We've been using Vacation Rent Payment for our business for many years with no problems until now
We've been using Vacation Rent Payment for our business for many years with no problems until now. A few weeks ago, they made a mistake and deposited less than a third of what they should have into our account. We called them twice and waited on hold for 2 hours and then 3 hours before getting disconnected. We also left a callback number, but they never called us back. We sent them an email explaining the issue and provided documentation, and two days later they confirmed receiving it. However, despite sending numerous emails, we haven't heard anything back and still haven't received our deposit. They still charged us their fee for it, though. Whenever we try to communicate with them, it's either silence or they say they have a lot of calls and don't call us back. This lack of communication and disregard for customers is not acceptable. We're also a business and have bills to pay. We need the deposit that we earned. We definitely don't recommend using this company if you're a business owner! I just called customer service again and finally got someone to answer, but they hung up on me after I explained the issue. Now, when I call back, I get a message saying they have "high call volumes"... the same message I received when I had to wait on hold for 2-3 hours before getting disconnected a couple of weeks ago.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I would leave 0 stars if it was possible. This company is borderline fraudulent. Vacation Rent Payment is a Yapstone company. They also do business as Rent Payment. Beware of them as they will not hesitate to take advantage of you. We are new owners of a small bed and breakfast hotel. We've taken ownership during the COVID-19 pandemic, which means it's tough times. This was the prior ownership's credit card processor of choice. Because of the pandemic, many guests to our inn have chosen to cancel their reservation and asked for their deposit to be returned to them. We put in a request right away, when we took over on April 1st, to get our bank account connected to the account so we could take care of our guests' requests in a timely manner. I have sent over 50 emails and tried to call dozens of times to get this situation resolved. Communication doesn't come back for weeks at a time, and not once have I had someone answer the phone, or even been given the opportunity to leave a message when calling. I'm just hung up on by the automated system. I write this review on May 15th after exhausting all options. They are refusing to let my family take over the account unless I write them a check for $18,000.00 to hold as "reserve funds". Even if we chose to do this, they would "disable refunds" for the time being, meaning we couldn't effectively use their service even if we chose to pay for this. They are also threatening a termination fee to cancel the account, that they won't let us take ownership of, if we don't stay with them. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
We advise against using Vacation Rent Payment (Yapstone)
We advise against using Vacation Rent Payment (Yapstone). They are one of many credit card processing companies, so you have many options. We used them for our vacation rentals, for bookings directly from our website as well as those that came from VRBO, as this was who our website company suggested. First off, their fees are too high compared to others. The reason we write this review, however, is because they refused to file a corrected ***K for our 2021 taxes. Yes, we had not updated our information in time (updated first week in March and they filed in February - still in time technically), but when we let them know we could not complete our 2021 taxes until they would send 1 corrected form and 1 new form using our business name and EIN to the *** they said they already filed and it's our responsibility to have the info correct. After a lot of back and forth, they still refused to file the 1 corrected form and 1 new form. They flat out refused to fulfill their *** duties and responsibilities, as only they who provide a *** can file a corrected ***. As a business ourselves, we have had to file corrections before. It's really no big deal, which is why we were so blown away by their refusal. We were stuck having to file our new S-Corp taxes under an individual, and try to explain to the *** why this is happening, which of course only makes our new business look bad. For the record, 3 other companies we made this request to all completed the corrected forms and provided copies before our 2021 tax year extension was over. We had 3 now under the new business, and were left to explain why 1 was under an individual. This was over 400K, and completely messed up our new SCorp, and the 1 individual's taxes who they filed under originally. How could they just refuse to fulfill their corporate responsibilities of filing tax forms? Totally mind-blowing! Just a horrible experience with VRP (Yapstone), and Good riddance.

Several years ago, I changed my investment strategy and switched from mutual funds to an investment property that I put in a trust
Several years ago, I changed my investment strategy and switched from mutual funds to an investment property that I put in a trust. I decided to rent it out through VRBO. Apparently, Yapstone filled out a form called 9 on my behalf, but they made some mistakes in the information they provided. For instance, they used the wrong zip code, which belonged to a town located 125 miles away. As a result, I never received a copy of the 1099-k form. However, the tax authorities did receive a copy and are now suing me for $25,000 in unpaid taxes. I tried to resolve this issue by sending them a copy of the deed and tax bills, which clearly show that the condo is owned by the trust and not by me. Their response was that the only way to fix this is if Yapstone sends corrected copies of the 9 form for the relevant years. Unfortunately, Yapstone refuses to do so. My only request is for Yapstone to submit the corrected 9 forms before I have to go to tax court next month.
On May 31, my reservation with booking.com got canceled by Rob and *** and got booked with vacation rent payment for a vacation
On May 31, my reservation with booking.com got canceled by Rob and *** and got booked with vacation rent payment for a vacation penthouse suite in ***, ***. When we arrived on 10/10, the place smelled really bad, and it gave us a headache. We tried to contact Rob, but he didn't answer on Sunday night. The next morning, we packed our things and left because of the strong smell and the headaches it caused. After having breakfast, we called him and explained the situation, mentioning the overpowering smell. He and his wife *** were very rude. They refused to refund us anything, claiming that we didn't give them a chance to fix anything. I don't understand how they could fix a strong cleaning solution odor. I only stayed for one night and would like a refund for the remaining nights (Monday to Friday night). Check-out was supposed to be on Saturday. Please read their emails too. They are not nice people. They falsely advertised the place. I have included a picture of what we found.
On 3.11.2022, I got an unexpected phone call from someone claiming to be from carnival cruises
On 3.11.2022, I got an unexpected phone call from someone claiming to be from carnival cruises. They offered me a fantastic vacation deal, saying it was because I was a returning guest (since I was going on a carnival cruise that weekend). They insisted that the offer was only valid during that phone call. I tried searching for them online but couldn't find anything, so I became suspicious. I asked for more confirmation on how to book, and they transferred me to another person who finally admitted that they were not actually from Carnival Cruises. I immediately ended the call, stating that I was no longer interested.
But then, they called me back, tempting me with an even "better deal" to complete the authorization over the phone. Hours later, I discovered that they had charged my card without my consent. I tried calling the same number, but no one answered. They emailed me a booking number and certificate, and I quickly responded, expressing my disapproval and demanding a refund. In return, they sent me a cancellation form, but when I sent it back to them, they didn't acknowledge it.
Feeling frustrated, I contacted my credit union for assistance in disputing the charge. However, they informed me that I had authorized the charge by providing my card number. Now I'm stuck having to use something that I know is unethical and not legitimate. So, I decided to call and book something myself, but guess what? I couldn't! There was no record of any package under my name, my booking number, or the "certificate" they sent me. None of it showed up in their system, and as a result, I couldn't book anything!
They managed to charge my card for whatever they wanted and sent me a fake booking number that looked like a vacation but turned out to be nothing more than an email with a bunch of confusing stipulations that they didn't follow or respond to. I strongly believe that this company is involved in scamming people out of their money by using false pretenses. They don't provide any actual goods or services in the end. Consumers should be protected from thieves like this, and they should not be allowed to get away with taking our money like this.
