store at 28th & harvard in tulsa, ok
But I am only complaining about a particular store as I don't know that any other store does this, but my friends and I sometimes go to the free pie night, we are social people and don't always have time to get together and here of late not much at all, we are working opposite schedules and we made plans to meet at a different Village Inn than usual because it was close to my home, close her my friends job and my other friend didn't have to work the next day so it didn't matter to him how far he had to drive, cause it was causing me to get to bed too late, but we were meeting at the Village inn in Tulsa, OK at 2745 S Harvard Ave. and it was getting late, we had all eaten, we were only meeting for the pie. My friend was not having anything but water, she is broken, Bren...and I were just going to have pie, but I was kind of sick to my stomach, so I ordered Ice cream and asked for my pie in a to go box, and Bren ordered pie and Ice cream, which we have done before without an issue, which it does say with ANY purchase on all the printed materials...even online, but I think it was the manager who came to the table and told us that policy had changed and we could no longer do that without ordering something like a drink. So we just cancelled our order completely. While sitting there drinking our waters...and visiting...we called the other village inn...they had not heard of any policy change. No offense, but we felt very slighted and discriminated against...and won't be back at least not to that one.

marbled rye reuben - lack of meat
My husband and I dined at the South Ogden, UT Village Inn for dinner Saturday, August 18, 2018. I ordered the Marbled Rye Reuben. What a joke. There was so little meat on the sandwich that I had several bites that were nothing but sauerkraut and bread. The sandwich flavor was very good, but for $10, I expect more than an ounce of meat. I talked to the manager about it and showed him half of the sandwich. He said that he'd have a talk with the cook about how much sauerkraut got put on the sandwich. I told him at least three times that the sauerkraut was not the issue, but that there was not enough meat. He pretty much blew me off.
Poor problem/resolution and false advertising - the picture of the sandwich showed more meat than what was actually given.
The comment is above
My niece and I went to village inn for a Hawaiian pie. I was told at a different location that the pie was going to be available all summer. I went just to be disappointed. They were no longer carried it. The associate said it was only seasonal. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager said they only cairreid it for the month of May but it was extended for a few more months. I asked for the 899 number so I could speak with someone about this issue. He left and came back with a local number that I could barely understand. I dialed the number and it seemed to be a bogus number. It seemed to be out of business hours and the name of the restaurant was not on the recording. I also tried to look up a number online but those numbers didn’t seem to have the recording for village inn either.
service from ciara holt
I was waiting for my food on 8/24/18 and I over heard Ciara Holt asking another employee for cocaine and if they can do it in the bathroom. She continued to ask other employees for cocaine the whole time I was in the store. She was also not doing anything just sitting there. She didnt even come to check on me and the people I was with after I got my food. I feel very uncomfortable and am never eating there again.
discontinued items
I am sitting here right now in a village inn. I asked for tomato juice, "we discontinued that item". I ask for cottage cheese, "we discontinued that item"... whoever is making these decisions obviously puts a priority in how much money they won't make instead of providing healthy selections... because those are the things selected for discontinuance... additionally your prices are slowly but surely inching upwards. It's very disappointing that Village Inn is more focused on the almighty dollar than joining many restaurants in providing healthier options for an already obese society (51% of Americans)...
service product in health risk
I was eating at the Village Inn on Chambers and Iliff and Aurora Colorado and when my daughter went to the bathroom seems that our waitress Grace sucking her managers dick in the bathroom I believe his name is Darren are Derek we really didn't catch his name but then they service our food and my daughter told me and we have to get up and leave very sad for this experience I hope they are fired I will never be returning again
breakfast this morning
Samdy Utah location- 10600 south The Floors were filthy, crayons on the floor, tables sticky. Massive load of onions in everything. Eggs were all overcooked, the omelette was burnt, sausages were raw, and the california skillet was missing avocado. the server dropped off all of the cold food and we never saw her again. Manager made us pay for food even before it was brought to the table. So we had to eat the garbage they brought. When we were all done and I asked to speak to a manager she offered us s piece of pie to make it all better...
all your employees doing drugs
I was sitting at my table waiting for my food and I saw a guy snort a line of white powered stuff in the back. He was kind short and Mexican and at night I asked around I hear everyone's doing cocaine in the back. I dont know about anyone else but I'm not trying to ingest cocaine with my food. I really think you need to be more strict on your people because that illegal and not okay in anyway
management
My husband and I were ordering breakfast when a woman came to seat a large number of customers at a table next to us and she rudely interrupted our server Pam, our sever was taking our order when I heard "Pam!" Then, an annoying sigh. Apparently, the table was not cleaned yet. Our server was embarrassed as well as I was for her. She kept her sweet nature and quickly rushed away to finishes wiping the table. The placed was packed and I found it horrific this manager couldn't assist the staff. When we paid our bill the same woman who's name was Melissa was standing in the seating area. She was dressed very sloppy and I was shocked to read her name tag as manager. She should not even have a job much less be management. Village Inn should pick their management team more carefully because she is detrimental to the company. I see lawsuits coming.
service
My daughter and I were in Iowa visting my parents and Sunday being the last day with parents we went to Village Inn in Altoona Iowa. It was a very busy lobby around 11:45am but the wait was very short. We were seated by a nice young girl and were treated and welcomed almost immediately by our server Pam. She was very outgoing and offered us several suggestions and paid special attention to my 8yr old daughter(even guessed her age). I sensed the entire team was busy and there was a hustle to the dining room. Our server quickly returned with our beverages while checking in with other customers along the way. As we were placing our order a woman yelled Pam... why isn't this table been wiped clean?! She has menus and about 5 ppl standing behind her. She gave the server a mean look and walked away and told the guests that Pam is not getting this table because she didn't wipe it down. I felt very bad for our server as I could tell it bothered her. She kindly apologized and hurried back to her many duties. I was very bothered by the way she was talked to because I knew that girl was busting her butt... well I continued to observe and then I could hear rude commands and yelling in the kitchen. I thanked our server and told her to keep a positive attitude because our family appreciated her hard work. (My daughter gave her a hug). As we were leaving the same rude and loud woman was at the cash register and I was appalled to General Manager under her name Melissa!
I don't normally write complaints but I don't think anyone should treat their hard working staff in such and unappreciated manner. Hats off to the Server Pam! She was awesome and we hope that she gets noticed for her excellent customer service with a caring and dedicated attitude.
Thank you

work environment.
I worked at village inn in Colorado Springs as a host. I really was starting to like my job and get the hang of it. It was my second week and we were really busy. I was so exhausted and didn't get a beak during my shift. I was already 30 mins past my shift. I was mentioning out loud to other employees that it would of been nice to have the other host their That was scheduled to work but didn't show up. Well her sister who is a sever got offended. She started getting angry With me and said she was going to fight me and calling me other rude name I can't list. All I said was that it would've been nice to have the extra help and for people to show up for your shift when they were scheduled. After being yelled at by her and threatened that I was going to get beat up. I started having anxiety and I started to cry and in the heat of the moment I said I quit I didn't really mean it but in that situation I don't know how to act. I was just exhausted, had bad anxiety and was already there late. I was just ready to go home and wanted to get away from her. Then the Assistant manager said he was going to get to the bottom of it and get back to me about what happened. It took almost a week and a half for him to tell me that they weren't going to keep me. Then I come to find out that they kept the girl who threatened me. How do I get let go when I didn't do anything wrong. I wasn't rude and I didn't say anything mean.I wasa good employee, always on time for my shift, stayed when they needed help and worked really hard. I just don't understand how they can keep her when she's threatened another employee and not punish her. That is completely unfair and what kind of business is this? I don't understand how people can do that. I have a one year old I need to take care of and they just dropped me like it was nothing.
food at restaurant sucks
First, the customer support number ending in 2121 does not work unless you have someone's extension only.
Went to Village Inn on Sherman in Thornton and ordered a ham and cheese omelet. They took an egg omelet and folded it over 6 little chucks of ham and then put a 3" x 3" piece of cheese, smaller than a velveta square, over the top and called this a ham and cheese omelet. Spoke to the manager, Keith, when I paid the bill and his reply was "it is what it is" and still charged me the $12 for the omelet! Never going back to a VIllage Inn again. Am also going on to every social media site and reporting this so others don't get ripped off.
change of menu
I am very upset with the recent change of menu at our local Village Inns. Basically there are no longer any low calorie or healthy choice items on your menu. The simple turkey sandwich has been removed. Many of the low calorie or healthy choice items have been removed from the VIB menu such as: egg whites, egg white omelette with part-skim mozzarella cheese, low cholesterol substitute omelette with part-skim mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, cottage cheese, low fat vanilla yogurt. My husband and I have visited our local Village Inn several times a weeks for many years. We were there so much our children made fun of us. I always choose a low calorie option such as the ones I have mentioned. Now I have a hard time choosing anything I want to eat there and this makes both myself and my husband upset and sad. Why on Earth would you remove so many healthy choice items at the same time raising the prices when more and more people are trying to eat healthier?
customer service
This is the third time I have written this. Your customer service sucks and so does your complaint site. Tonight a group of ten of us went to dinner at the Village Inn in West Valley City in Utah on 3500 S. We had a great time and our server Bella was great. The mistakes were with the person who made the bill. She put it all on one. $145. After she separated them she put the pie price on our bills. It's Wednesday free pie day. Some of us wanted cream on our pie they apparently don't do that. Though I've had cream on my free pie all across the country. Several of us had coupons we couldn't use because we could get the pie price removed or use the coupon not both.
We went out on a sour note after we had such a good time and food was good except the fish dinner.
I doubt we will go again after the rotten customer service we received.
free pie wednesday
I have been to Village Inn many times on Wednesday for free pie Wednesday. I always order the French Silk pie and I've never had any problems. One lady did tell me that it's not really on their free pie list but gave it to me any way. This evening I took my daughter with me, and once again we ordered French Silk. I was informed that it was not on the list, but I told her that's what I wanted so she brought it. I thought that was the end of it, but at the register I got charged for my pie and my daughter's. I asked about it, seeing as how it was free pie Wednesday and the manager rather rudely informed me that it was only certain pies which were free. I explained, nicely, that there was nothing on the sign suggesting only certain kinds of pies, nor did it say that certain restrictions apply. He told me that if they offered all pies free then he would have 18 pies and leftovers the next day. I fail to see how this is my problem. You say Free Pie Wednesday, but when people come in, and after they eat, they're informed that it's only certain kinds when no where does it specify this. He then walked away from me, as other customers came up behind me and he took their ticket at another register, to leave someone else to check me out. This is incredibly unprofessional; he told me to take it up with Corporate. So I am. This is clearly false advertising, which is illegal. It's not about the pie, it's about the principal of the thing, and to be rudely blown off like that was very upsetting, not to mention embarrassing, as he said this to me in front of other customers, and in front of my daughter. Needless to say, I will NOT be back. You just lost a very loyal customer.
Wait, so the waiter informed you it wasn't on the list of "free pie", you informed him that you still wanted it, and are mad you were charged for it? It's not on the list. Can't you take a hint and stop ordering that kind since you were told already that it's not on the list? Goodness sakes, lady. That's your own fault.
I asked if I could switch hash browns for toast.
We eat at Village Inn, 66th & O Street, Lincoln, Ne., one a week with another couple. Usually Wednesday but not always. We went tonight, March 21st. I got the crepe combo. When the waitress took my order I asked if I could have toast instead of Hash browns, I do this every time since I can't eat potatoes. This time a new waitress, said "no they couldn't switch anything for something different, but I do this all the time. Then the manager Paul came over to say they couldn't switch because of the cost difference. He was not rude but he was not friendly. I doubt very much that we will go there again & we go every week, when Jimmy's Egg is closer & way friendlier & a lot cleaner. Can't believe a person would loose four customers that come 54 times a year over the cost of hash browns. Also, think you should think about getting a new manager as Paul leaves a lot to be desired for a boss. Both my husband & I owned our own businesses & neither of us would ever have acted like Paul did. The people beside us even leaned over to say, he acted like a jerk.

Village Inn Restaurant #110928
9800 West Happy Valley Rd
Peoria, AZ 85383
Server: Cory
Table 5/1
My wife and I dined in for an evening dinner at 5:05pm. We were seated promptly. The server came by twice to take our drink order, then our meal selection at 5:15pm. We waited for a half hour before our food came out at 5:45pm. We watched customers come in other sections of the restaurant be seated, waited on, and served before we were served our dinner? My wife's food was warm, not hot; plus she needed a condiment, but no server? The server was trying to take care of other customers. When I checked out at 5:50pm, I was very upset. Cashier said Cory was new. Why was a new server assigned a complete section without help? I blame this on your manager for no giving you sever any assistance. We have dined here many times, and will have to say that I will not dine at this location again. Thanks for listening.
product change
I've enjoyed eating at village inn for six to seven years (my favorite location is on west McDowell, in Phoenix/Avondale Arizona). One of my favorite dishes was the California skillet, subbing the hollandaise with green chili sauce. Alas, someone changed the green chili sauce for some [censored]ized stuff that looks pretty close to regurgitation when placed on food; does not look or taste like green chili; and isn't green; and has red tomato in it (not an ingredient in authentic green chili). I'm guessing it's made back east by someone that has never had real mexican food. I've tried the new sauce twice, and just can't go there again, wrong flavor, gross look.
Ihop was my favorite breakfast place till they made an ignorant slip like this six - seven years ago... I haven't been back since. Please, don't make us look for another (breakfast) restaurant... Please bring back the green chili sauce.
horrible service I will never go back to village inn; poor customer service
I walk in the village Inn me and my party around 11:15 am and I walk up to place an order with Aaron at the cash register and he stated that he would go get someone to take my order and that took 30 min for them to get someone instead Aaron taking my order in the first place so one of the host took my order finally and put it in and while im waiting on my food I notice Aaron was taking someone order mind you know when I wanted to place an order he had to go look for someone to take my order also what really tick me off its 12:45 im still waiting on food while everyone that walk in after me had been seated and ate there food and paid for there food and left so one of the host went back to see how much longer I had to wait for my food he came out and stated 10 more mins so 10 mins has past and I'm still just my waiting on my food so now I'm boiling pisst about the time I have spent waiting on my food and the customer service was very poor service I work very hard for my money and when I spent it with company I expect excellence service and so 1 I finally recieved my food one of the guys from the back brought it out to me and one customer that came in after us stated thats a shame they had to wait that long just to get there food Aaron and Meredith starting laughing I didnt appreciate that either I have never been treated that way a day In my life and I didnt recieve a recepit either after paying for my food it was thrown away. Please take the time to speak with about this matter because I'm pretty sure this wasnt the first incident that occurred at this store.

I had Bariatric Sleeve Surgery, which means I have a 3 oz stomach.
The Dr provided me with a card asking restaurants to honor the card. I have never had a problem with any restaurants since my surgery until today.
I was in Zephyrhills, FL and they would not honor the card. There is absolutely NO reason for me to have an adult meal when I can't eat it.
The waitress tried to argue with me and I told her I WAS NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH HER! So we left

I just had a very nice breakfast at your 16775 Washington St Thornton, CO 80023 location and while checking out the manager on the floor was telling thr staff that arm tattoos make people look very unprofessional. I found this very offensive as im sure the customers behind me did too as they were tattooed as well. I am very professional in my career and dont appreciate the insinuation. Something I think should be brought to her attention. The date and time of situation was 3-4-18 at 12:30 pm thank you and have a nice day
