Virginia Employment Commission [VEC] review: Product and service

Poor service. Inaccurate service. Not enough people evidently employed. Too much emphasis on UI direct portal. Fix one problem pop up another problem. Never have been able to set up a UI portal account even though I don't have an account I'm still told my info is wrong setting one up. No help from anyone to fix this. 800# you will be waiting forever to talk to someone. It took me over a week to get a call back on my call. People at field offices are useless and will not volunteer any information. I have been waiting on a decision on my claim now since 12-29-23. I received an earnings eligibility paper saying yes you are able to receive benefits and now when I call for an update they say I am not eligible but I have more than enough money and weeks contributed to be eligible. The Virginia Employment Commission is the epidemy of what is wrong with government ran agencies. And our tax dollars pay this institution and all its employees. This is not a job that generates any revenue it is entirely funded by taxes. Good luck getting the right help here. FAIL FAIL FAIL.
