I was contacted by vodacom account department in the beginning of April 2019 asking me to do the payment for 2x upgraded cell phones, I didn't know what was she talking about and this lady told that I need to pay my account otherwise it will go on arrears and I said I don't have any contract with Vodacom. The only contract I have is the other service provider. The following day I went straight to the police station and I was given an affidavit form to fill it, then at the police station they said I must phone Vodacom about this matter, I phoned vodacom and they gave me a reference and told me to email them the copy of my id with 3x signatures including the affidavit, and I emailed Fraud Dispute account department. at first I didn't get any response, I had to follow up then eventually I got a response from the email saying that they will investigate the matter within 14 days then will get back to me but no has ever got back to me instead I was getting more calls from Vodacom saying that I must pay my account is in arrears had to explain my self over and over telling them that I have reported the fraud but I didn't understand why they kept calling me someone is not doing the his or her job properly, The other day I went to my bank wanted to sort out some stuff I found out that I was black listed, How come? My employer and I phoned Vodacom again to do a follow up, we spoke to Dumisani in the account department he told me to write a letter with my details and references and explaining that, this account or up grades of 2 cell phones has nothing to do me. Message was sent to FraudDiputes@vodacom.co.za. I got a message via sms responding to the email I sent, says"kindly note your dispute was investigated and fraud was confirmed" on this date 19.11.19. I did follow up on December to check if they have cleared my name, I never get any response... until now! Yesterday I find out that Vodacom haven't removed my name on bad debts, right now am very frustrated I am taking legal action.
