Pharmacy closed without explanation
Tonight at 6:00 PM on Oct 31 2022, I went to the Walgreens' drugstore in Cottonwood AZ to pick up an emergency prescription for my husband. I checked their website before driving over (we live in a town 10 miles away) and affirmed that they were open until 10:00 PM. I also looked at the schedule on the door before I entered and saw they were open until 10:00. However, I found the pharmacy completely locked up with no notice of why it was closed. I asked at the front desk to speak to a manager and was told there was no manager onsite. I asked why the pharmacy was closed and was told "They were all burned out so they went home."
I want an explanation from you as to why this was allowed to happen. I am angry and frustrated. This is completely unacceptable.
Desired outcome: An explanation and apology from the manager.
Coca cola 6 pack glass bottles
Date and time: ongoing issue!
Description of complaint: To wit: The Rumford Maine store in Rumford Maine had an excellent store manager who brought in my Coca-cola glass bottles 6 pack. Then Vern left and the new manager was subpar at best. The store went downhill but not in the pharmacy area. He discontinued my coke. Vern went to Walmart where he excel as he did for Walgreens. Vern brought my coke into Walmart. Then Vern leaves and thank God returns to Walgreens. You need to listen to this excellent store manager.
So the issue is he can't order my coke. Why? I don't know! However, now I have to travel to New Hampshire for my coke. It's not like I purchase one six-pack. I typically purchase one case and a half per month. I'm about to pull my pharmacy and business to another store that will respect me as a consumer and obtain the products that I desire.
I have made several calls with no response. The customer service said they escalated my complaint on two recent calls. That a regional manager would get involved. Well, it has not happened and I will escalate this to the Chairman of the Board if that is what it takes.
Respectfully,
Doug Glass

Desired outcome: Get my coke back! Cut the chase!
Prescription issue
On October 19th, I requested a refill for my Incruse Ellipta. Today is the 29th and it is still not in stock. This I can understand. yesterday, I called my doctor and she called a refill in to another drug store near my home. They called and said I was not eligible for a refill till after November 11th. Your pharmacy billed my insurance for a prescription that has not been filled. I called Cigna and they said the charge would have to be reversed before anyone else could fill it. Your pharmacy at 6401 Frederick Rd. in Catonsville, Md. 21228 is not open on Saturday or Sunday. I now will run out of this prescription tomorrow, Sunday the 30th. They are not very efficient in that location. The hold time on my last call was approximately 7 minutes. What kind of customer service is this? Thank you for listening.

Desired outcome: I would like to know that this will not happen again.
Pharmacy pharmacist Kathie
I would like to begin with I have been a customer with Walgreen's Pharmacy and store for the last 12 years however I'm truly considering changing Pharmacy I go to Walmart in the city of Indio Walgreen's located on 48th Ave & Jackson st there is a pharmacist Kathie I have had to endure her rudeness on serval occasions she extremely unprofessional she talks over you and speaks to you like your child or stupid I have had the last encounter with this woman there too many other pharmacy in the same area to be mistreated I'm not the only one she speaks to this way as I had my husband pick up my meds and prescription for my mother and he came home talking about how rude and disrespectful the pharmacist was. I would think that Walgreens would want their employees and especially Pharmacist to show respect and treat paying customers better than this woman does she has staff working under her leadership. Absolutely ridiculous I'm trying really hard to be respectful in my email I haven't been that angry my money will not be spent at Walgreens anymore I would think the years I have been a customer would grant me to be served with dignity and respect.

RXs
Walgreens is disastrously HORRIBLE! The very last straw was yesterday, when they screwed up my RX and gave me the wrong one! I was forced to call and had to listen to their overly LONG recording and even after I told the woman that I would be leaving to pick up the CORRECT RX in 15 minutes, it was NOT ready when I arrived!
Their phone system sucks!
Their drive up SUCKS!
They are understaffed and run by idiots who can't get things done efficiently, correctly and even have a nasty guy who makes faces when he can't get things right! Except for emergencies, this is why I switched to OptumRX for mail order!
Their CEO NEEDS to address all of the problems that exist at Walgreens!
I suggest that: Since their Drive Up is most often a very long wait, they should suggest that people who are NOT handicapped, park and walk in!
NOBODY CARES!
Desired outcome: CEO attention & RETRAINING EVERYONE!!
Pharmacy service & consumer relations
Yesterday my doctor called in 2 prescriptions to the local Walgreens, Cambridge, MD. This am, 12:23 they called and left a message on the answering machine that they were ready. I went there at 1:30pm to pick them up and was told that one was ready and that the other would not be available untill after lunch. Looking at the clock to verify the time I commented that some one had called and said that they were ready for pickup. She said that they would be available after 2:30. Now 4:53 pm and still no call that they are in fact ready.
Tried submitting the online form to consumer relations and when I hit the submit button it cleared all the responses; not once but twice. Called consmer relations and got connected to someone who said his name was Louis. Could tell right from the get go that this was going to be a waste of time and it most certainly was.
As the song goes; bye, bye, so long, farewell, but I won't be seeing you in September or any other month.
Desired outcome: none because changing to another pharmacy because it would appear that they could care less about customer relations.
Service
I find hair color on sale at the Chester MD Walgreens.
I take two up to the check out.
I told Jack, the check out guy that "these should ring up at $8.99, not $11.99.
He said " I can only give you the sale price if you pull up the Walgreens App on your phone".
I asked if I could just enter my phone number on his screen as I've done the past 25 years.
He said no, that doesn't work anymore.
I said, ok, I'll get the coupon book and you can scan it.
He told me the coupon book had been done away with by Corporate.
I asked him, If I was an elderly person with no cell phone, how could I get the sale items?
He said He didn't know. So, I walked out and went to Rite Aid and made my purchase there.
Desired outcome: Bring back the old system, please. America is aging and not everyone knows how to use "Apps" on their phones.
Service at the Walgreens Macon/ Germantown Cordova, TN
On 10/27/22, at approximately 4pm, I got into the line for the drive thru pharmacy. The line did not move for over 45 minutes. After about an hour, I pulled to the window where the pharmacy tech was standing with her arms crossed. I sat there for over 2 minutes without being acknowledged. I believed she was serving the vehicle next to me, so, I waited...

I bought these prenatals in early October when I found out I was pregnant. I just looked at the bottle again only to realize I have been taking prenatals that expired in June 2022. I am highly disappointed in Walgreens. Why would you leave something so important to women on the shelf expired for so long?
Shame on me for not paying closer attention but also shame on me for trusting that a store would do its job.
Front desk employee
On 10/27/22 around 2:20 I went mlk walgrren in portlnad or to pick up prescription medication, the front desk lady asked me what can she helps me, I told my full name, date of birth, and adress and I am here to pick up and she said ok wait 20' and it will be ready for you, so I wait and back again in the front desk and ask her is it ready? She asked me...

I used to love Walgreens. Now I hate Walgreens. Because their pharmacy policies have resulted in endless delays of vital medications for me. I keep giving them another chance because the store is close to my home. And I keep kicking myself for being such a fool.
Now I found another pharmacy, an online, delivery service called Capsule that is much, much better. I've had zero issues with them, no need to call them to prompt them to fill prescriptions: they just magically fill my prescription and deliver it to me, no questions asked. Unlike Walgreens, which never fills a prescription anymore without either a call or an in-person visit to prompt them to do their job. And their manically cheerful voicemail tree quadruples the irritation.
Like I said, I used to love Walgreens. Not any more.
Desired outcome: I'd like to have prescriptions prepared after my doctor sends them in. Which used to be the general practice. I can't believe I'm even saying this. It's so f*cking basic.
Customer service
On October 25, 9:55 pm. I stopped in at Walmart to buy trash bags and do a load on my bank card. When I approached to the door, the supervisor, her male friends were standing outside the door smoking. I was told the store would be closing in 5 min. I said no problem, I'm doing a card load. The cashier, who was alone, went outside and came back to inform me that they could only load $100 because of the time. I challenged her because the week before at 10:45 pm I did a card load of $300. Each load cost $4.95 so I have to go back and do it again for an additional $4.95. Unless this is some price gouging by Walgreens, I did not see a sign saying this. So, I decided to get a store managers name and the corporates phone number. Well, one of the Supervisors male friends decided to tell me I was holding up the line and could I hurry up. I told him this was my money and he had nothing to do with this. The Supervisors boyfriend started to get confrontational and started cussing me out. He told me to step outside several times so he could take care of me. He told me to go get my family and bring the back. I am 72 years old and I told him whatever he wanted to do, do it inside cause the cameras can see him. The other male (who started it) stepped in and told me to please go to my car. I am traumatized to say the least. I am filing a report with the police dept. against this Walgreen Location in Edmond, OK. Store #07444 N. Western Ave if I don't hear back from you. I am also going to News 5 so they can let everyone in Edmond know that it is a hostile environment. Hoodlums hanging outside the store all hours of night and it is DEFINITELY not a safe location. It's Unbelievable that Walgreens would hire this riff raff to work at a family store. Also, I must say, the cashier with purple hair did absolutely nothing wrong. She was like a deer in the headlights when this was going on. But her Supervisor allowed this guy to act this way on her watch. The hostile boyfriend kept saying he didn't like how I was talking to his family. That they were all his family. He also called me a [censored]!
Desired outcome: The District Manager gets complaint and actually runs the tape back of that particular store, date/time. I want a callback [protected] and I want to know how this was resolved.
Rx lost
I requestes my meds to be delivered , they suppossed to delivered my prescribed my meds from Tracy Walgreens. I never received them. I went the folowing day. they didn't gave me the medication, The store manager made me to call Doordash, Instead of He taking care of the problem . He said He never had to call before. I was all the afternoon with Doordash I went through 5 Customers Service agents, they didn't transfer me a supervisor because I was not Walgreens manager Talking, they Hang up on me , but before they hang up gave Walgreens Customer service complaints phone number and told me they would not give a refund unless Walgreens call, I did call Walgreens headquarers. Walgreens told me someone would call . I still waiting It has been almost a week. They don't care.
Customer Service/Pharmacy
It’s bad enough when you call the Pharmacy and wait twenty minutes for someone to answer its another matter when they answer and you ask whom am I speaking with and they hang up. Every time I deal with Pharmacy I am having problems, made a huge mistake by switching from CVS to this horror show. This incident happened on 10/25/2022 @ 4:43 PM at the Walgreens 1602 N Expressway Griffin, GA 30224
The checking out process and email receipts
Iam mobility prolematic. I use a walker. It is raining. Without a paper receipt I could not check it. I bout two items at buy one and get one free. I ended paying full price for both and of course could not check the recipt. This was at the store on Ridge Ave. in Chicago. I called in and spoke to the manager. She said that I could print out the receipt. I don't have a printer. I am 74 years old. She said that I could show it on my phone. I use a desk top and do not connect it to my phone for security reasons. The phone in public is how most hackers work. She said to bring the items in to show her. I have a rewardscaed that I used. #[protected]. I reminded her that it was raining and I have mobility problems. She said that there waas nothing that she could do then. I said that the system was dumb if it can't be done. She said that I was being abusive and hung up. I was not being abusive. I did not call her dumb. I called the system dumb, she should have heard that. It was not for much money but the annoyance that I feel is much greater than that. I have been a customer for a long time. In a time when so many people are robbing t=you that you have to put so many products under lock and key I think that those of us willing to pay should not have to use their walker in the rain to be taken care of. Patrick Johnopolos
Desired outcome: The lady that I spoke with should be trained and I should have the small amount put on my rewards card.
Short Staffed/Stock Issues/Not Answering Phones
I have been going to Walgreens in my neighborhood for 18 years and in the last 6+ months, I have become so frustrated with the service that I have decided to go to my local grocery store to get my prescriptions.
Factors that have affected your service:
You are always short staffed
You never have any stock on the medication I need even something as common as antibiotics.
I have to wait hours sometimes days for my medication.
Your one branch NEVER answers their phone.
Desired outcome: HIRE MORE STAFF - REGARDLESS of Vaccination STATUS!!! Be better prepared and order stock for common medications! Not answering phones is also COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE especially when you leave a message asking us to call you back...
A service at 2140 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95050
I left a plastic bag full of IDs and credit cards. I came back and asked the person who was a manger to look at their lost and found and without even checking she said they don’t have anything there. I asked her to check and she said no in a very rude way. I waited until someone else was there and indeed i asked them to check and they said yes they found it. I could have just lost all of those important cards because someone is just having a bad day to check.
Desired outcome: An apology and sending a message to the staff
Flu and Pneumonia shot appointment
I made an appointment for flu and pneumonia shots two days in advance online. I was scheduled for 2:30 pm Sunday Oct 23. I showed up six minutes early and spoke to the pharmacist stating that I'm here for my 2:30. He told me to get in line. 10 minutes later I reached the window. I had filled out the health questionnaire online to save time two days earlier. The clerk couldn't find it and said I'd have to fill out the paper form which I did. The form only indicated the flu shot so I wrote-in the pneumonia shot on the form. After filling out the form, I was instructed to take a seat. When the pharmacist called me to the private room, I noticed he only had one syringe. I asked about the pneumonia shot at which time he went in back and found that the store was out of that vaccine. I got the flu shot and was told that the store should have the pneumonia vaccine in 3-4 days and to re-schedule. Total visit time was 40 minutes. The store is located at 215 N. 2nd street in El Cajon. I used to get walk-in vaccination service pre-covid in roughly 15 minutes. Now it's 40. Walgreens online service has taken a turn for the worse ever since covid. This is not good customer service. three of four people in line during my last two visits were audibly upset. Who ever is managing this department and website needs correction.
Desired outcome: Add a second drive-through clerk during daytime/evening hours. Have two pharmacists on-duty during daytime/evening hours. Fix your website issues i.e. refilling my prescriptions on my PC did not work. I had to use my Ipad.
Prescriptions
I deal with the walgreens at 3900 sw 29th street, Topeka, Kansas. My prescriptions were to be refilled on October 15th, and the scripts have not been filled as of this date, some six days late. I have tried to call twice today. Once i was put on hold for over two hours and then it just cut off without my speaking to anyone at the store. The second time i called i was on hold for over an hour and it just cut off again without my talking to anyone. There is no excuse for the store to be six days late with my scripts, and still have not received them and don't know when they will be filled. I can see i am going to have to go to another pharmacy as this one is not doing their job. There is no excuse for a script to be delayed this long and i still have no idea when the 6 medications will be available. I am going to tell everyone i know that walgreens is a tebbible service provider and the poor service your firm delivers, and i am going to put it on facebook and other media outlets if this is not resolved to my satisfaction. My name is Eddie Cox, [protected].
Desired outcome: WHAT DO YOU THINK THE OUTCOME SHOULD BE OTHER THAN DISCONTINUE BUSINESS WITH WALGREENS AND LET EVERYONE KNOW ON SOCIAL MEDIA THAT WALGREENS DISRESPECT CUSTOMERS.
Ivermectin
Living in Crossville Tennessee our Governor Bill Lee said we are able to purchase Ivermectin from the pharmacy without a prescription. Called the store on Elmore and said that Walgreens does not participate in this program. Very sad because this could help so many people. Also this store in Crossville has the worst drive thru. The second lane is never open. Since this is the only Walgreens in Crossville we have no other choice Definitely not customer friendly.
Desired outcome: Improve service and make Ivermectin available. We are a community of mostly senior citizens.
