I have auto payment on my account to make sure it is paid timely, but have tried to get ahold of Waste Management to say I do not consent to the most recent increase. The payment is due on 12/1/23 but the payment was processed on 11/21/23.
I have called to dispute this, but have been put on hold for over 20 minutes. I called and waited and waited and waited. They put me on hold and it goes for a very long time and nobody ultimately picks up.
The number I called was [protected] and I have phone records to show the call duration exceeded 20 minutes. After waiting for 20+ minutes they then gave the option to leave a message, but I have not heard back.
My bill has gone from $486.11 in October to $603.98 in November (a 24.25% in one month!) which far exceeds the rate of inflation and is price gouging. They claim they will charge me a late fee if I don't pay on time, and say I can dispute the price increase if I don't consent, but they won't allow me to dispute because they just put me on hold forever. This is very unjust.
Desired outcome: Stop the price gouging and revert to my original pricing.
