Dear Wendy’s, Corporate Office Headquarter:

This letter serves as a formal complaint against your Wendy’s restaurant located at 530 American Legion Highway in Roslindale, MA.

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, I ordered three large strawberry lemonades from this location. I was given three medium strawberry lemonades. I immediately informed the drive through window attendant I was given the incorrect order. The drive through window attendant told me “This is a large. Large drinks are now being served in this size cup. (a medium cup).” My immediate response was “why am I being charged for a large drink in a medium cup”? The employee responded, “this is what it is.” I asked, “what was the effective date of change, and again why was I being charged for a large drink, which is in a medium cup”? I was told the change happened that morning. Up until Friday, May 13, 2022, the size cup I was given for a large was previously a medium size cup.

Wendy’s did not provide advanced notification to the public nor to the employees. Furthermore, what makes you think you can make an illegal change? This is a 93A, an unfair and deceptive business practice. You are taking advantage of the constituents in the community, with illegal practices.

There are major concerns at this location anyway, including washing your back of the restaurant floor and allowing the nasty water to run out the door, where the rats patiently wait each night.

I am filing formal complaints with all appropriate agencies.

I expect an immediate correction in charges for the medium drink you are charging as large drinks.

Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Sandwich/Chili Hot Sauce

I'm 51 years old and have been a Spicy Chicken sandwich fan since its inception. With that said, it's never been spicy enough so at a younger age, being a fan of your chili as well, I started putting the hot sauce packets on my chicken sandwich. If you haven't tried it, it's amazing. However, after moving to a Chicago suburb three years ago, I have been denied the hot sauce unless I buy the chili (many times, especially during the summer, I don't want chili). I have asked to speak to managers at several of the restaurants (most recently in Homewood, IL) and have even offered to pay for extra packets of hot sauce and have been denied on almost all occasions. In fairness, the manager I spoke with at Homewood said it was a "corporate decision".

You actually have a great combo in the making (extra hot sauce - YOUR chili hot sauce), but I can no longer enjoy that amazing taste that always made me your number one fan of spicy chicken. By the way, Popeyes is located right next door and I haven't been back to Wendy's in over nine months (outside of several visits asking at the drive-thru if I can get chili packets with my sandwich prior to ordering - when told "no", I leave).

Funny thing is that this has been bothering me for a while. I'm a General Manager of a customer-facing organization that wants to make all of our customers happy and when they are not totally pleased I at least like to help them understand why the situation went sideways.

First World problems...I get that. But, I at least wanted to see if one voice can make a difference because I really miss your Spicy Chicken Sandwich (with chili sauce packets).

Wendy’s dirty,nasty kitchen area and unwashed or still dirty

6pm 5/14/22 at the salyersville ky. restraunt-when ordering i noticed the floors in the kitchen area was cluttered and there were french fries on the floor ,a sustancial number probably 25-30 that were being walked on and many were already flattened by the workers walking on them.the floors did not look clean.After i recieved my food on a tray my fingers stuck to the tray.Looking at the tray it looked like dried catsup and was on the tray in several locations.Outside was neat and clean however the dining area floor was also sticky when walking on it---needles to say i will not be eating there again.Benny easterling 16130 ky hwy 191 hazel green ky [protected]@hotmail.com

Wendy’s Fake survey sandwich

I spent time Wendy's survey that was printed on the back of a receipt I received at Wendy's location on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset NY a week earlier. After taking the survey and validating the recipe with a number, I returned to the same Wendys a few days later to order a Premium sandwich (spicy honey chicken) and asked for a sandwich as part of the promotion.

The person at the windows "Patricia" told me that even though the survey says I could order any premium sandwich- they were NOT honoring the survey promotion because the premium spicy honey chicken sandwich doesn't count as a premium sandwich order and that I had to order a different premium sandwich in order to collect my survey "reward".

This Syosset NY location gave me the original survey receipt but said that they simply would not honor it as it was written and provided. I ended up driving away without spending any money at Syosset Wendys .

I ask, what kind of a company has their customer take the time to fill out a survey and then refuses to uphold their own written promise?

I feel that your company is cheating me and you are not worthy of my business anymore. . I do have other fast food options in the area that I can patronize in place of wendys.. Had I known what kind of an indifferent company you are to your customers' time and money before I filled out the survey, I would not have been so kind in my survey responses.

Wendy’s Service

Jerri Stockbauer is the absolute worst general manager ever. Do not work for her. She is literally trash. Don’t even bother working at Wendys on Euclid. That place once was riddled with mice, flies, wasps, and disgusting dirty floors and bathrooms.

Wendy’s Rude Staff

I went through the Drive Through and ordered 3 Biggie Bags specifically asking at least twice for THREE individual bags. At the window it all came in one bag. I asked that it be fixed and put in separate bags. At this point you could tell by facial expressions that they weren' happy to do this.

I rec'd the bags and there was only 1 nugget in 1 of the bags. I made them aware and was told they fell out.I checked each bag and no extra nuggets. I told them and they gave me another order

All this was done with a poor attitude

I was told next I would just be given a bag and could divide it up myself

There is no reason on earth to be so rude to a customer.

Desired outcome: The Staff needs to be taught manners and customer service.I understand these are trying times but there is no excuse for such rudeness

Wendy’s Apple pecan salad with lettuce hang out and black stuff around rim of container and managers disrespect

Monday, April 9, 2022, I went to Wendy’s at 43058 Portsmouth Blvd Chesapeake VA 23321 location. I ordered 2 apple pecan salads with double grilled chicken. The clerk advised that it would be 7 minutes for grilled chicken and asked if I was willing to wait. I agreed and she had me pull on the other side of the restaurant to wait. I waited for approximately 12 minutes and thought’ they forgot me and went back to the drive thru and asked if the salads were ready. The clerk stated” grill takes a while, and a young man was on his way out with my order”. I told her I understand and was told 7 minutes and had waited about 12, she said the chicken has to be flipped on both sides and it took longer than 7 minutes. I said okay, do you want to go back on the side to park and she said not come to the drive thru.

I got to the window, took the salads, and looked to make sure I had everything. I noticed on salad had lettuce hanging out and black stuff was around the rim. I hand it back to the clerk and said this back stuff around the rim was nasty and asked for my money back. She took the salad closed the window and the manager came handed me my money and was closing the window. I said to her you did not even say sorry or nothing. She said there was nothing wrong with that salad and it took out my phone to show here the picture I took of the salad, and she said no recording at the drive thru window and closed the window and walked away.

I was really upset because patiently waited, did nothing wrong and I eat at this Wendy often and felt mistreated by the manager. I call the Western Branch Store in Chesapeake VA and asked for a districts manager number. I explained what happened and she took my number. No one has contacted me yet. I will contact the health department tomorrow concerning this salad and the hazard of the black stuff on the rim and the salad hanging outside the container.

I was not treated as a respected customer and felt embarrassed as I drove away with all the clerks standing around looking at what had happened. Total disregard for customer service and setting the right example for the young people working for her

Desired outcome: An apology and customer service training for shift, The Manger to be held accountable for her disrespectful actions in front of your personnel she should be setting the example for.

Wendy’s service and food

Arrived around 10:30 PM. Ordered 2 big bacon burger classics, a large fry, and a chili. Had the coupons for free mini Frosty's. Was told they don't serve Frosty's after 10:00 PM. They didn't give me a receipt, so I asked for one. I wanted the survey info on the back. I was told the receipt machine was broken. They charged me $20.__. How do I know that was the correct amount since I didn't get a receipt.

When I got home, I had a small fry instead of a large, the cup of chili was only partially full, and the burgers looked like they were just thrown together. One of the burgers was supposed to have added mustard and extra pickles. It had neither. The fries were cold and had to be put in the oven. The burgers were both only luke warm and had to be put in the oven with the fries to get hot. After all of that, I tried to call the store and no one answered the phone. The next morning, I tried to call the store again. It took a long time, but someone finally answered the phone, I asked to speak to the manager. The person who said they were the manager sounded like a young girl. I explained to her what happened and she didn't seem to care. I don't have the store number since I couldn't get a receipt, but here is the address of the location. MACEDONIA, 660 EAST AURORA RD, MACEDONIA, OH 44056

Desired outcome: The outcome I would like would be either a refund or a correct replacement order and a proper apology.

Wendy’s service

6530 Pearl rd. parma hts, oh. 44130...worst restaurant! today when I went they were out of salads, baked potato, chilli & pop machine was down. last week their credit card machine was down. Most of the time their out of salads & baked potato and other items. one time they were closed due to staff shortage. I always have a mobile order & P.U. at window...one time they told me go inside to pick it up. very inconvenient! if they don't have the staff and working things maybe its time to close that location.

Wendy’s Service time unreasonable!

Went to drive thru, waited 25 minutes to get to order only to find out they were out of some items I wanted. Tried to go inside and complain that they wouldn’t have put a sign up somewhere to advise people and it was locked.

I finally decided just to spend my money at a competitor. Almost a half hour wasted in the damn drive though. Completely disappointed in the service!

Wendy’s Missing part of order

Saturday, April 23, 2022 around noon I asked my daughter to stop at Wendy’s Restaurant on 6628 Kalamazoo Avenue S.E., Kentwood, MI 49508, to pick up a large chili and 2 large fries and whatever else she wanted for herself. There were a small amount of cars in the drive thru, maybe 3 or 4, but it took my daughter about 30 minutes before she had her order. When she drove away she check her order and the chili was missing. She tried to enter the store but the doors were locked. At this point she was getting very frustrated, the options she had was to go back into the drive thru line, which had now double the amount of car, have the fries become cold before coming home or forget about it and maybe go back later for the chili. We had a family celebration that afternoon and on our way home I stopped and the same Wendy’s since we still needed the chili. I was in line at 3.57 PM and finally had my order of chili at 4.22 PM. I realize that there is a shortage of help everywhere, but this is absolutely terrible service, wouldn’t it be better to shut the store down until you have enough qualified help? I didn’t even try to explain what happened to our noon order so that we could avoid paying again for the order of chili, I don’t believe the person at the divethru window would have understood me and since everyone behind me was getting vey irritated with the speed of service, I just paid again for the order of chili. My daughter wanted to go to bat with the employee, but I didn’t want that to happen. My daughter feels cheated and is still fairly angry about this transaction. Something needs to be done to set this right, I know it won’t break the bank but paying almost $4.00 twice for a simple order os chili doesn’t sit well with me either. I hope this can be resolved so that we can go back to that Wendy’s when we’re ready to do so.

Desired outcome: Refund price of missing order and compensation for lengthy wait X2 in drive thru lane, maybe in the form of some coupons.

Wendy’s Spicy chicken

I used to love Wendy’s spicy chicken. It was thick,juicy and very flavorful. Now it is tasteless,dried out and flat. It disappoints me to say it sucks. It’s not just one but several I’ve been to. I don’t believe I will ever buy one again unless I hear they become good again. There’s many other places with good chicken sandwiches. Wendy’s quality used to be a+. Now it’s a D.

Wendy’s Unsweetened iced tea

My wife has had the same issue without resolution for over a year now. Every time she goes to our Wendy's in Roxborough (in Philadelphia, PA) and orders an unsweetened tea they charge her a sweetened beverage tax of.60. She spoke to a manager and they responded with "what do you want us to do about it."

She has filed a report with L & I basically saying that your store is ripping people off and won't correct the problem. She is also going on social media.

I get this phone call whenever she has the problem and honestly it's an easy fix on your part. I own my business and can't do enough for my customers. Please resolve this issue. Too simple to get bad repor over.

Desired outcome: Three (3) complimentary large beverages and resolution at the location level.

Wendy’s Charged more than what is displayed on menu board. Manager refused to make correction to customer for the displayed price

On 04/15/2022 at approx. 8:45am, Wendy's located in Hobby airport in Houston, Tx. I ordered a $5.99 breakfast meal. Clerk charged $6.75 before tax. When I objected about the displayed amount on overhead menu board, clerk advised me that the display board was incorrect and that many customers have the same complaint. The Manager would not re-imburse me for the overcharge.

On 03/17/2022 at approx. 7:30am,this same location overcharged me once again for a large drink with the breakfast meal, which normally comes with a medium drink, due to the fact that they had no medium cups available. a large cup was issued. I complained to the same Manager but she refused to

make the correction by not re-imbursing me for the overcharge.

Desired outcome: I would like for management at this Wendy's Location counseled and re-trained.I would also like a meal certificate for my two overcharges and my inconvenience and time filing this complaint. I can be reached at ([protected]@att.net)

Threaten to come over counter and have people pull up with guns to my husband I was in the bath room so when I came out the bath room I started recording her . None of the employees would give me her name. All we were trying to do was ask what was the difference of a biggie bag and a four for four

Wendy’s Incorrect pricing

I order the 4 for 4 which is still on the display menu at the drive thru and upgraded my drink to strawberry lemonade which is 4.85 and that's the total I was told. However, when I went to pay I was told 5.87 by the person at the first window. And I explain the situation about the 4 for 4 on the display. She said the person at the next window made a mistake that there is no more 4 for 4. I asked since it was on display this should be honored and was told no. The manager came to advise the person that this price is no longer valid

Wendy’s Overcharged for meal.

Monday, April 11, 2022 I was at the Wendys on York Rd in Baltimore, Md at approximately 3:30 pm. I ordered two jr. bacon cheeseburgers and one bourbon bacon burger (NOT the meal, burgers only). I was charged $18.01. Wondering how to resolve this as I was overcharged.

Wendy’s mobile app processed my payment but did NOT create a mobile order

I attempted to place a mobile order today April 8, 2022 about 10:00am Pacific time. The app processed my payment of $1.10 but no mobile order was created.

I went to the restaurant (#1529) in Seattle, WA at 11744 Lake City Way to ask if they received a mobile order but there was no order. My credit card ending in 3262 was charged $1.10 with the notification that my card was not present. Please credit my account ending in 3263 in the amount of $1.10.

I proceeded to place an order at the drive through window for a breakfast biscuit that I had attempted to order via a mobile app order. That order that used the same credit card was # 3082 at 10:17am and the receipt states the entry method was Chip with Auth 218071.

Desired outcome: Credit my credit card ending in 3262 in the amount of $1.10.
