Westhaven Power installed our battery pack system, which we agreed to because PG&E was offering a big discount to homeowners who already had solar and bought the battery packs to go with it. We've been trying for 9 months to figure out where our discount went. In the last 6 months, Westhaven's office rep, Jaap, has been working really hard as a middleman between us and PG&E. Thanks to her hard work and determination, we finally finished the whole thing. We really recommend Westhaven Power and want to thank Jaap again for all her hard work. The McAtees

Westhaven Power The work crews did a good job, but the customer service and management are not so great

The work crews did a good job, but the customer service and management are not so great. I've had my new solar system for a month now, but it's not producing any power. I've been trying to get a response from WestHaven for weeks, but they haven't been helpful. So, I decided to call PGE and it turns out that my system doesn't meet the requirements, so PGE won't connect it to the grid. PGE has tried to contact WestHaven multiple times, but they haven't received any replies. I paid WestHaven a hundred grand for this system, but once they got my money, they stopped communicating with me. If I had known about WestHaven's poor customer service, I would have chosen a different contractor. They don't provide any customer service or communication. What was supposed to be a four-day project has now turned into four months. They have my money, but I don't have a working system as promised.

Westhaven Power Living in a rural area with winter storm power outages and summer fire danger outages has left us without power for up to 4 days straight

Living in a rural area with winter storm power outages and summer fire danger outages has left us without power for up to 4 days straight. Having 15kw of solar power worked great until the smoke or rains got so bad the batteries did not recharge. Contacting Westhaven, who had installed 10 kw of solar power on the roof, the tech stated that Tesla had Powerwalls that were batteries that stored 13 kw of power. I had two installed which I had to pay for upfront but will be reimbursed $1 per watt which is approx. $13,000 per Powerwall. All of Westhaven teams that came out over a 4 month period were great, yet two of their people were outstanding. Jason and Trevor spent hours on sight trying to find and connect a 15+ year old solar system with a 21st Century solar storage system. They refused to give up and with their electrical engineers at Westhaven were able to connect both solar systems to power the Powerwalls. Since the installation, we have been without grid power four times for over two hours total. If it wasn't for the Tesla app on our smart phone we would never had known since there is no disruption of electrical service when the grid went down. Com'on winter storms or summer time power outages because now I have stored power to run the air conditioner in the summer as well as the sprinklers on the roof to ward of fire. I have heat in the winter to stay warm, all due to Westhaven and Tesla Powerwalls. The exciting part of all this power is that it does not use fossil fuels or pollute the environment. Thanks Westhaven! Now how can I harness that wind we get up here all the time?

Westhaven Power I got solar power from Westhaven Power in sept

I got solar power from Westhaven Power in sept. 2018. The power stopped in november last year. Westhaven sent their guy who told me to "re boot" the system. It didn't work. It's been almost six months now, and my pacific power *** still has no credit. I called the service guy again and he said one of the electric things needs changing. He said he'd come by mid april, but he hasn't shown up. Can someone help? Sorry for my bad typing. I'm not good at this stuff.

Westhaven Power We've had solar from this company for less than a year, and we keep having problems and error codes

We've had solar from this company for less than a year, and we keep having problems and error codes. We've called and written Westhaven online over 15 times, but no one has ever come out to check the issues. We keep getting error codes saying our inverter isn't working, and because the system goes out for weeks at a time, we have to do a true up. The company doesn't follow through with their word and promises they made when they put solar on our house, which turned out to be lies. They told us we would get a 9k rebate from the fed government for our solar, but instead, we only got a 5k write off with no rebate. I would never recommend them again!

Westhaven Power The solar installation from Westhaven Power took way longer than they initially said it would

The solar installation from Westhaven Power took way longer than they initially said it would. It took them an extra month to connect it to the monitoring system, and they only did it after I held back payment. A month later, I had to call them again because they had to move the conduit. But now, the system hasn't been working for three months. When I finally reached out to the company, they refused to send a repair crew. It's been a month since then, and they keep telling me that a crew might come in a few weeks. I spoke to Tracy in the service department, and he keeps saying they'll fix it, but he never gives me a definite date. I've given them more than a month to solve this problem, and I let them know how unhappy I am with their service, but they haven't resolved anything.

Westhaven Power I signed a contract with Westhaven Power on 12/24 for them to add 6 more panels through groundmount and upgrade the main panel from 200

I signed a contract with Westhaven Power on 12/24 for them to add 6 more panels through groundmount and upgrade the main panel from 200 amps. The contract stated that the job would take approximately *** weeks. I paid a deposit of $8875 in cash to the contractor. However, the contractor has cancelled the job twice, and PG&E cancelled it once. It took a long 5 months just to get the main box replaced. Finally, on April 25, 2022, the work for the main box replacement was completed. The next day, on April 26, 2022, I was informed that the rest of the system would be installed by the end of May 2022. However, I still haven't received a scheduled date for the work. The contractor is not responding to my texts or calls. I just want a refund of my deposit, minus the costs of the main panel, which amounts to $1134. I also want to cancel the rest of the job since the contractor has not met the agreed-upon timeline, unless they can guarantee completion by 6/1/2022.

Westhaven Power We signed a contract with Westhaven around Feb/March this year for the purchase of solar/solar panels

We signed a contract with Westhaven around Feb/March this year for the purchase of solar/solar panels. Solar panels were installed on April 11, 2022. They said the county would be out to inspect their work on panels and they haven't come out. There has been no communication from Westhaven and we have to pay for panels we can't use. We just realized we can't use the panels when we got our very high PG&E. The solar app is confusing and makes you think you're getting solar usage. They told us the county would come out in a few days. It's been 2 months. They only care about selling panels that you can't use. We can't remove the panels since they're fixed to our roof, removing them would cause damage. I want a reimbursement for the time I couldn't use them and for our PG&E bill. We installed them in April to have them ready for hot weather.

Westhaven Power We started the solar process in October

We started the solar process in October . Until now, we still don't have solar. Westhaven promised us solar by the end of 2021, but we never received it. All we have are the solar panels. We had our financing in place, but because Westhaven took their time, we don't have financing for the generator. We chose Westhaven because of the solar and generator combo, even though they were pricier. Today, they take the payment from our account, and I have to fight every month to get it back from Westhaven. It's already paid for ***, but I still don't have a check for the ***s payment from Westhaven. We don't have solar or a generator. I've called the *** multiple times, but he won't call me back. I've also called another supervisor named ***, but he won't call me back either. Nobody knows what's going on, and it's a joke. This company is a joke. Don't get solar through West Haven.

Westhaven Power We got Westhaven solar panels installed 'bout 2 years ago

We got Westhaven solar panels installed 'bout 2 years ago. Nobody told us 'bout no app for monitorin' the panels, and we didn't even know we had to do the monitorin' ourselves. It was only when a friend with Westhaven panels mentioned the app that I found out 'bout it. I had to bug the company twice before someone finally told me if there was an app or not. Finally, when I got the info I needed, I downloaded the app and found out that 8 of my panels hadn't been workin' for a whole year. When I brought this up with *** from Westhaven, she said they had only been off for a month. I called the app company, and they told me that was a lie and the panels had been out for a year. 'Cause of this, we had to pay a whopping $1300 on our energy bill. If the panels had been workin' all along, the bill would've been lower. When we asked the company for some kinda compensation, they said no. If they had communicated better and been more transparent 'bout the app and monitorin' panels, we could've avoided this whole mess.

Westhaven Power When I was at work, this company called Westhaven Power showed up at my house

When I was at work, this company called Westhaven Power showed up at my house. They rang my doorbell and left a door tag on my door, even though I have a big ol' "No Soliciting" sign right above the doorbell. It's against the law to bother folks at their homes when they got one of them signs. If they try to get in touch with me in any way, like leaving stuff on my property, I'm gonna report 'em to the police. According to the City of Woodland Code, a solicitor is someone who goes around asking for orders or tryin' to sell stuff for future delivery or services to be done later. They ain't supposed to be droppin' off written materials or botherin' folks at houses with signs sayin' no soliciting. Same goes for private commercial properties that are open to the public, if there's a sign sayin' no soliciting, they ain't supposed to be botherin' folks there either. If someone breaks these rules, they can be charged with a misdemeanor. That's what the law says, y'all.

Westhaven Power We got Westhaven solar system installed in September

We got Westhaven solar system installed in September . The system had problems right from the start, from a faulty inverter to issues with the actual installation. It didn't pass the initial electrical inspection for several weeks before it was fixed. It took another two weeks to repair the components and install a new inverter before it finally passed inspection. The system was working at this point. Along with our purchase, we also bought a monitoring service for 24 months. In June , during the summer, I checked the service online and discovered that our solar system wasn't producing any power. I called Westhaven and they accused me of turning off my solar power myself, which is ridiculous. We tried troubleshooting over the phone with my wife. Days later, the system started making a loud siren sound and then tripped its subpanel. I couldn't restart the system and there was no power at all, it was completely dead. It took 4 weeks for a technician, who was only marginally qualified, to come and visit. The system had been down for about 6 weeks by then. Westhaven didn't have enough qualified technical support staff. Over the past two years, we actually received around $500 in credits from PGE. I'm also enrolled in the medical rebate program, as I am a disabled veteran with 30 years of service. At the end of the year, there's a period called "true up" where the energy produced is balanced with the energy consumed. Even though we conserved more electricity during the summer months compared to the previous two years, we were billed $1051 by PGE in November during the "true up" time. In the past two years, we carried over the credits to our account instead of cashing them out. We always keep at least a 6-month credit on all our bills, including utilities and mortgages. At least PGE gave a warning about a high forecasted ***. Westhaven failed to provide the services we paid for, such as monitoring, which should have alerted us but didn't. The manager, ***, admitted that we paid for the additional monitoring service.

Westhaven Power Westhaven Power Review: I had some issues with Westhaven when it came to my roof and solar installation

Westhaven Power Review:

I had some issues with Westhaven when it came to my roof and solar installation. We hired them to replace the roof, upgrade the solar system, and install batteries for around $120,000. They assured us that all the work would be done by their own company and that their customer service was reliable. However, the roof was actually done by an outside contractor called *** Roofing, not Westhaven. And to make matters worse, the roof leaks in one part of the back deck, but they refuse to fix it.

On top of that, the gutters overflow even in the lightest rains, causing our front deck and entryway to flood. Many downspouts to the gutters are missing or unfinished, but they refuse to fix or adjust them, claiming that the gutters were not part of their contract. We paid over $40,000 for the roof alone!

As for the solar panels, they were supposed to produce 60% more power than our previous panels, but instead, they produce 20% less. And to add insult to injury, the inverters and batteries they installed were non-compliant with *** regulations. For six months, PGE wouldn't certify the non-compliant inverters, and during that time, Westhaven promised to pay our TrueUp bill once the inverters were finally working. However, despite our repeated complaints about the system not working, they only replaced the inverters with another brand and never reimbursed us. They completely ignored our inquiries about it.

To protect the inverters and batteries from the elements, Westhaven built an ugly structure that looks like a bus stop. We were never informed about this when we purchased the system, and it's an eyesore. Additionally, the battery system that is supposed to supply power during a power outage is set incorrectly. In a recent outage, it didn't perform as promised, and we lost power. They readjusted it, but now it discharges itself completely to PGE around three or four in the morning, leaving us without backup power in case of an emergency.

Lastly, Westhaven promised us a $250 Amazon card upon completion, but they haven't given it to us yet. They also secured an encumbrance to finance $100,000 of the project, which was supposed to be paid upon completion. However, they took their money long before they said they were finished, and now they don't respond to our inquiries.

Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with Westhaven Power. Their lack of accountability, poor workmanship, and failure to fulfill promises have left me frustrated and dissatisfied. I would not recommend their services to anyone.
