This is the second project that we gave to Window Concepts
This is the second project that we gave to Window Concepts...the first was replacing an outside door. This time, it was replacing six of our 12 windows. We found the entire process of working with Window Concepts to be excellent. The Sales Person was knowledgeable about his product and we selected this company because the Sales Person gave us great reasons for selecting his company. The office staff was very helpful in finding us an installation date and the two window installers were EXCELLENT in workmanship, answering questions as to using the windows and removing/opening them for cleaning purposes. The installers also were very efficient in their work and cleaning up whatever debris their work created. We are so thrilled with this second of two projects that Window Concepts has done for us that we recently signed up with them to replace the other six windows!
Shady, manipulative, and agreesive company
Shady, manipulative, and agreesive company. They quoted us $17k to insert an acrylic shower and 2 quartz countertops (with sinks). We did not read reviews before our quote. We wanted to get the water damage by our shower fixed before installing the shower, and the guy we worked (Kory) was dismissive of our concerns. He wanted to install a shower over the damage and only cover part of it. He went as far as to say "this isn't going to be a model home." He then took 30 minutes to estimate the cost of the project--in complete silence. I have never had a fake quote take so long. He then explained that they would like to use our house on a marketing flyer and would give us a discount. When we said sure, but we would like to continue getting other quotes, he faked an intense call with his boss (as I was basically instructing him not to) and then said his boss said no to a further discount. When we repeated that we would like to keep looking, he stormed out of our house stating "I thought $7K for a shower was a great deal." He never once mentioned that as the price. Needless to say, we let him keep walking and will not be working with this company.
My experience with Window Concepts of Minnesota was great from the sales rep to the install team. Always professional and courteous. The windows look great. And the noise reduction from the outside is awesome, as well as the fact that I no longer have a draft house! Will save on heating costs this winter!
Work was done well and quickly. No complaints. Would use them again.
Our experience with Window Concepts was great! From the time we contacted them for an estimate to the completion of the installation of the tub and shower everyone was helpful, courteous, friendly and professional. I would recommend Window Concepts to anyone in our area!
Unfortunately we hired Window Concepts of Mn to replace our roof, siding, gutters, soffit and facia in 2020
Unfortunately we hired Window Concepts of Mn to replace our roof, siding, gutters, soffit and facia in 2020. Work began on 6/1 and was "completed" in mid August. The work was very subpar and never passed inspection. We emailed Window Concepts with a list of issues that needed to be addressed. Todd and another gentleman came out to go over the issues and agreed that they needed to be fixed. He said they would be back hopefully before winter to make repairs. Never heard from them again. Contacted Window Concepts again in July to have same issues addressed under warranty. They requested photos, which I sent and still no response. We have siding that is short in a few areas. We have mismatched colors on facia materials. Facia is coming off and not lapped properly (actually catches water rather than sheds water). Large gaps in soffit and gutters has allowed birds to move into soffit and gutters to build nests. Gable end support post was cut off and bare wood left exposed to rot. I'm worried the lifetime warranty on the siding is void due to improper installation. Window Concepts does not seem to care about their customers, their quality of work or their reputation. What a nightmare.
Nice door. Great job on the install. Door looks great.
Initial sales call was positive and professional. Windows were installed in a reasonable timeframe and installers were hard working and did a GREAT job. Overall we couldn't be more pleased.
I had a detailed estime given. Good information. I had my sliding glass door installed earlier than originally scheduled. The workers were prompt, courteous, and didn't take as long as I thought they would. I love my new door.
Don't get me wrong great windows, but I do not understand a business that would advertise lifetime warranty on widows
Don't get me wrong great windows, but I do not understand a business that would advertise lifetime warranty on widows. And every time you call for services on them they tend to dodge you, not wanting to come out to replace and cover their lifetime warranty words. Have heard every excuse in the book from them. 1st my screen didn't show up and had to be install later. Tech came and install broken screens. 2nd one of my handle to the screen broke. Called them to get service out and They did not return any calls till I inform them my kid was hurt from the broken handle. 3rd time calling them to to come out to replace old screen that was damage. Took them 3 months to received the new ones of course cause windows were custom made. But getting them to come out took the even longer. First saying if I damage it then I had to pay. I inform them those came in and was install damaged. After 4 months finally got them to come out and replace it. Keep in mind I had my windows for 5 years now. My kids are grown and and I have some damage screen. Calling them now to come out to fix my screen which is part of my windows and they are saying its not covered when clearly in the past i had them installed and fix before. Now they are saying I will have to pay for screens to be install. Please clarify what the lifetime warranty covers if the screens are not part of the window.
Door is beautiful! Install went smooth. We had a special request and our installer was happy to accommodate!
My bay window was old & falling out. It is now fantastic. Everyone from the sales people to the installers were professional, helpful & friendly. I would use them again.
From beginning to end, I was happy with the services Window Concepts provided. During the consultation a detailed description was given and all of our questions were answered. The work was done efficiently and professionally and they did not leave a mess when finished. I will be using them in the future and would recommend them to anyone!
My experience thus far with Window Concepts has left me wondering if I chose the right company for the job?
My experience thus far with Window Concepts has left me wondering if I chose the right company for the job? On February 15th I paid Window Concepts 25% of total for a tub and shower wall replacement. I was told that the job would be complete in 12 to 16 weeks, most likely being 12 weeks. At the 12 week mark I called them and left a message on Adam's voicemail. After 1 week of no response I called my sales rep Hassan as that was my only contact and face of Window concepts I had ever had. He told me that this was not his department. I was feeling a little abandoned at this point. Hassan did call me back the next day to tell me they had up to 16 weeks to complete the job and said he forwarded my concerns to their person who makes the appointments for work when materials arrive. At this point I was feeling a little better. So, when I had heard nothing on June 7th, week 16, I called and was told we are waiting on materials. My thought was... If I owned a company and gave someone a deadline for completion and was unable to fulfill my word, I would be pro-active and let them know. I waited until June 15th to call again and asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with James. He told me the same thing, we are waiting on material. I asked if he contacted supplier, so I could have an idea of when this may get started. He did not. I asked him if they are going to advertise materials available would it not be wise to have some on hand to avoid situations like this? I asked him to either check with supplier or give me contact info so I could contact them. James told me he would check into it. After not hearing back from James, I called on June 22nd and asked to speak with the supervisor of James, again I left a message on Adam's voicemail. I have yet to receive a call from Adam, though, James called me back June 23rd, said he spoke to supplier and we would be placed on the schedule in the next two weeks. Well, here I am today sharing. Why? Because once again I have not heard from James, Adam, Window concepts scheduling or anyone. Again, not being pro-active on their word and barely reactive when contacted. My advice... Get several quotes and check with real customers. Any review that is 2 sentences long is either an employee or a friend of one.

On February 15th we paid 25% down to window concepts for a tub, shower wall and plumbing replacement
On February 15th we paid 25% down to window concepts for a tub, shower wall and plumbing replacement. The sum we paid was three thousand dollars. We were given an estimated time frame of 12-16 weeks. See previous review I submitted 7/16 for a strong lack of customer service displayed by Window concepts.. I left messages on 7/19 and 7/20, neither of which was returned or responded to. I called again on 7/21 and spoke with Katie who said Adam was going to call me that day. Well, NO call from Adam. I called again on 7/22 got Katie and inquired about a refund and cancellation of the job due to poor customer service and a lack of communication. I would be better off saving my wind to cool my soup, rather than wasting anymore with a business that obviously does NOT CARE after they have your down payment. Wouldn't you know, I spoke to Adam who said, can't cancel we ordered product. I do not want these people in my home.

I had window concepts install new countertops tops. Before the counter tops were installed i enquired about refurbishing my cabinets they gave me a quote and I told them at the time it was contingent on a home equity loan. They said that was fine because they were four months out. A few weeks later they were to install the counter tops. I had an issue with my wall and instead of contacting they applied huge amounts of silicone to apply the backsplash. When I got home to inspect the work it looked terrible. I fixed my wall they reinstalled the backsplash it still looked bad so I fixed it myself. After that I did some research with friends and family and other contractors. I decided not to move forward. They are now telling me the cabinets are already in production after telling me it would take four months and want 40% . I never gave them one dollar for deposit and decided not to go forward with the home equity loan
They took our money and now refuse to answer phone calls or emails as to the status of our order. Receptionist gives us the run around saying that "Tony" the person overseeing our order is in a meeting, out of the office, at lunch and that she will give him a message and call us right back- which he never does. She will send us to his voice mail and still he never calls back. I will ask her to put me through directly and they "drop" the call. I have sent emails and there is no response there either.
We signed a contract for siding back in May for 19,000. We were told that if we came up with our own financing instead of going thru them we could get it for 17,000. We got our own financing and after numerous attempts ( Aug 5th - Sept 16th) to get ahold of them they finally agreed to drop it down to 17,800. The siding was supposed to be done the middle of August to the middle of September. We have called, texted and emailed numerous times to get a response. They only respond after many attempts and say they have no update. We asked to get out of our contract since they don't have the material as our color is back ordered and will not provide us with a date. They will not allow us out of our contract and will no longer respond. We have also asked if there is an expiration date on this contract and no response. We want out of this contract due to them refusing to do what they said they would. As well as the worst customer service/communication we have ever dealt with. The experience we have had with this company thus far has been very unprofessional, stressful and disheartening. We would like to cancel our contract with Windows Concepts of Minnesota without penalty and no longer deal with this company that can't call/email its customer's for weeks at a time. Very disappointing for a company that says they pride themselves on their customer service.
We placed an order for a door with Window Concepts on March 18
We placed an order for a door with Window Concepts on March 18. After going through materials selection on April 23, our order was placed on May 3 according to Adam the sales manager. We were scheduled for an early June installation. On June 25, I spoke with Adam after calling multiple times and emailing without receiving a response. I found this ironic because during the very aggressive sales pitch that was given customer service as one of the major talking points. Either way, Adam told me that WC was waiting on the order from the manufacturer and the good thing was that they had two trucks coming in soon. He couldn't tell me if our door was on either truck because they have no idea where the order is in process until the manifest of the truck is created. It is August 27 and we've heard nothing from Window Concepts. We have no update on timing for installation and no follow-up from Adam. I left a voicemail today and I suspect the same pattern will continue.

This company took my deposit for a new shower and tub, plus window, in March. Theyve refused to contact and communicate with me regarding my installation. Constantly giving excuses when I do get ahold of someone. Its been 6 months.
The sub contractors they hired to do our siding did a great job, it has been approved by the City of Minneapolis inspectors
The sub contractors they hired to do our siding did a great job, it has been approved by the City of Minneapolis inspectors. We paid market price and Windows Concept I'm sure, did just fine. The installers damaged our screens on the 2nd floor by leaning on them while installing the siding. For a "window" company, screens should be a freebie on a $25000 job. What a cheap company not at all concerned with customer service. They took 3 of our screens and lost them! Do not give me covid copout, that does not cause loss of screens. They were informed of other screens we noticed had been damaged, and said they would repair them on location. Months later, I offered to bring them to them as they continually ignored our simple requests. They never did anything and got rid of the person handling our issues with NO NOTICE. The new non- helpful agent now does not reply to our requests when I mentioned small claims court...over stupid screens. Please help, this is not right at all.

I had paid a deposit to replace my Doors and whole house Windows in April with all the emails with their excuses finding contractors the Windows were installed end of November in the cold. After the installation. One of the custom windows had a large crack, the triple pane middle glass had scratches, the doors had a Air gap at the bottom and warped, the window screens were loose and damaged, all the sliding windows are difficult to open, the out side caulking for all windows and doors are poorly applied. The front window frame is bowed. There are many defects with the quality of the windows and doors.I have emailed and left numerous messages with these concerns and still no response. Then I receive a call in February that the technician is going to fix the issues. Then I called again next day and another PM answered and stated that the previous PM and Technician left the company. Oh man I was really ticked off and I had to relay the info again.Still no response as of 8/13
We put money down for a service door to be installed in the July timeframe. We haven't heard anything from Window Concepts on timing. We understand there are delays in the industry but we have basic expectations for commination and updates (especially when we call to seek information). We've called 5 times in August asking for updates and we've received no response. We are disappointed with our service and no longer want to do business with Window Concepts. We'd like our money back plus time compensated for 2 hours on calls thus far in addition to the additional 2 hours spend on visits to our house for meetings, etc. We will be submitting a claim to small claims court and adding comments to our community social media pages based on our experiences. However, if this can be resolved we'll happily move on.

Window concepts of Minnesota has an incomplete remodel work and pending permit since March 25 on my home prior to me purchasing my home in 2019. The previous home owner contracted Window Concept to do a bathroom remodel. The work was done, failed inspection and was ask by the city to make corrections and submit for re-inspection. But the company REFUSED to do as directed and did not close the permit with the city of Coon Rapids. I reached out to the company in August upon knowing of the situation as a result of my buyer withdrawing from purchasing my home. Since August, Window concepts has not cleared the pending/open permit or taking any action to do so despite my calls to them. This pending permit ( # 191585) has caused me to loose a sale of my home. I lost $17,000 on my home sale value as of august . I need the company to resolve and close this open permit IMMEDIATELY with the Coon Rapids city inspector. This company is not worthy of ComplaintsBoard.com accreditation!

On 6/10 we had Window Concepts of Minnesota come out and replace 10 of the Windows in our home. The cost of the product and services totaled $9,574. After the crew completed the installation and left I noticed a few things that I was not happy about. The crew left a white substance on the carpet below one of the windows as well as on the outside covering the landscaping. This required us to put in effort to clean up after them when we feel like they should have cleaned it up on their own. We also noticed that they had cut into the frame of one of the original windows leaving visible damage that I do not believe can be repaired, it would require a whole window replacement. I reached out to Window Concepts immediately after these discoveries and they scheduled a time for someone to come out and attempt to repair on 7/9, but they never showed up. I reached out to Window Concepts again and have not received a response.
I contracted with this company for a kitchen remodel on 1/28. I paid a $3000 down payment. I was given an estimate of 12-16 week for the installation date. I called the company twice in May and June to check on status, and was told they would give me a call. I was called the week of June 21, that the work would begin June 28. The installer did begin work on June 28. Two of the cabinet doors were not properly measured, and need to be redone as they are not wide enough. Two pull-out shelves were not able to be installed as they were much smaller than the existing shelves. The installer put down half of my new flooring, then discovered he was not given enough tiles. He left on July 1, saying he would be back the next week. As of today, July 13, no further work has been done. My floor is half finished, and is a tripping hazard as it is not level with the existing tiles. I have called twice this week and no response.
Signed contract on 5/20
Signed contract on 5/20. This was the 3rd bid I received. I chose this company as I liked the product and was told approximate install date of August . I gave them a $5500 down payment. Which is close to 20% of my annual income. I have been saving to have my windows replaced. I have broken windows that need to be replaced before winter. I ordered 14 windows in total. They did a materials check on 7/5, which seemed right on schedule. I waited and waited. No contact has been made with me. I left a voicemail with *** on 9/20 inquiring about an install date. No return call was received so I emailed him on 9/27 inquiring again. No Response. On 10/1, I emailed asking for a return call on or before 10/4 or I would like a full refund. Again, no response. When I initially contacted the company regarding an in-home estimate, they called almost instantly, and were at my home within a few days. Now all of a sudden they have my $5500 and have completely disappeared.

I signed a contract on [protected] to get all new windows installed in my home at the end of December
I signed a contract on [protected] to get all new windows installed in my home at the end of December . I have heard NOTHING from the company unless I make multiple calls inquiring about my installation. The first few times I called I was told that everything was on schedule. I was then told that the windows would be installed late February. I have placed several additional calls and have had no response. It's now March 4th and I have heard NOTHING from Window Concepts about WHEN my windows will be installed. I have paid $3000 already and expect at least communication about where my windows are. I understand that Covid has caused issues for many businesses, but this is ridiculous. They at LEAST need to communicate with me about my project. My boyfriends daughter was supposed to move in with us in January but can't because we don't have a window in her room. My Kitchen remodel can't be completed without new window. I really want to cancel completely now. I need resolution ASAP.

VERY poor communication
VERY poor communication. Have been trying to get updates for months. Estimated install *** weeks after we signed the contract, but now they're ~a month late and have no response as to when the job will happen. Minimal response. Last response was a month ago, and told us they'd have the windows in their possession within the next week or two. Again, a month ago. No contact since then. No updates. I understand delays happen with manufacturers, but communication is key. Also shady business practices: Signed a contract for ~$33,000 after two complete home walkthroughs. 2 days after we signed the contract the sales rep asked for another $10,000 because he "miscalculated" despite us asking him 3 times in writing if this is correct. He would do us a favor though and lower the miscalculated amount to $4,000, so he could at least "earn a commission". The issue in the price only happened AFTER he found out we'd be paying for the entire job in cash. They did honor the original contract price.

Have Window Concepts MN (WC) replacing 15 windows
Have Window Concepts MN (WC) replacing 15 windows. Not a good experience at all. 1. Bad communication. scheduled installation on Oct. 1 and 2. No advance notice for reschedule to second day (notified us at 10:30 while crew was supposed to arrive 8~10). 2. Hired unqualified subcontractor to lead the installation. a. very late show-up (11:50 vs. 8-10, promised). b. lousy cutting work, very bad craftmanship. See the damages in the pictures. c. manipulating the schedule to prolong installation. (lots of drama). Have to replace him to continue the work, not trustworthy at all. 3. WC refuses to admit the damage is damage! some of the cuts are 30+% into the 2x4 wood. a. WC sugar-coated it as a "by-product" of insertion replacement of window. (I can only say that the owner does NOT know what a quality work is!) b. WC tried hard to use city certificate to convince me that this is NOT a "structural damage". The certificate is actually for same size window replacement and smoke detection is functioning... What a fact manipulation! They are very professional in twisting your mind. c. Using bandage solution (5" nail) to "fix" the cuts. And of course you will not see anything after covering with aluminum sheets. 4. second crew is better than the first crew lead. At least they didn't do any further damage. BUT thorough quality work is not WC intention. Have to call the team back twice. First, to ask for replacing rotted wood and replace those badly cut woods. (They only replaced one piece of rotted wood and using nail to fix the cut.) Second time for unfinished caulking. The owner claimed the 2 revisits are extra mile with exceptional work. What a joke! 5. With all the drama, damage and serious delay of finishing (finished Oct. 14 vs. promised by Oct. 2), WC owner only wanted to compensate $400 (then $500) with more than 10 windows with serious cuts. And he wanted me to sign an agreement, claimed WC has NO WRONG DOING, and I can NOT share my experience in public.

I have ordered multiple windows over the years from Jonny, this last purchase was the worst experience I have had as a consumer
I have ordered multiple windows over the years from Jonny, this last purchase was the worst experience I have had as a consumer. 1. I was set up for an instillation date, and arranged to take off work which is not easy as an RN working during a pandemic. I was notified the day before the install they needed to cancel because the windows were broken. I was told they would be in contact in a couple of weeks to set up a new date. I did not hear anything for weeks so I eventually called. The initial install was supposed to occur 8/17 the windows actually got installed 10/9. I had expressed frustration with what occurred to Marissa and expressed the hardship this caused for me with the change of dates and the frustration that I had not been called that the windows were in. 2. Privacy issue: during this time an email was sent to my ex husband with information regarding my window purchase. There should not be a reason this was sent to him as my financial situation and purchases should be private. I informed Marissa of the error and my frustration. 3. Windows were installed and they are not the same windows as my previous purchase those windows were Provia and the current windows are Polaris. I noticed the windows did not look the same called to discuss this with Brian, he told me they were the same windows but they had just been upgraded due to improvements on the locking mechanisms and handles. I informed him that should have been disclosed to me at the time of purchase. He said it was just an oversight and promised me a check for $400 for all of the inconveniences of the purchase. I was at work caring for patients and had to end the call. When I got home I researched the windows called manufacturers to find out I had been lied to and they are different manufacturers. 4. Upon install an outside light was removed and not replaced. Wires were left exposed to the elements. Wood trim was not replaced tightly leaving a wide gap. I had to have someone else fix their mess.
