horrible employees
Today, Mothers' Day, I was in the first "express line" on the farthest left hand side. I witnessed the following as a customer in this line; a young man with over 30 items was allowed to utilize the line against customers' protest. Additionally, after the young man left, a tall young woman cut in front of the line. The man in front of me and the one cut off complained to the cashier and she ignored him and tended the customer. Friends? Finally, I live 4 blocks from this store but have avoided it for at least a month because of the express line, not being utilized as an express line. My time is valuable, perhaps my most valuable thing. My terminal disease makes me have to manage my time wisely, Winn Dixie apparently has no respect for there customers time, or for there own protocols and policies. Is this company policy or is this a rogue store? Check the store tapes for verification if you like. The time was 1310 Hrs and the cashiers name was Liani. Store # 0251

On March 3rd my husband and I decided to take advantage of the bogo free sale Winn Dixie had on select chicken pieces. On March 6th, I did as I would normally do and prepared myself for a full day in the kitchen. After making what I assumed was an awesome meal...Within several hours, I felt rather ill. I had slight bloating and gas and felt some what nauseated, but because of similar symptoms, I simply attributed that feeling to my "monthly visitor". Shortly after my symptoms, my husband complained of stomach cramps and gas as well. In retrospect, we simply ignored the signs. Within another hour or 2, I decided to take some midol and go to bed. By midnight...WE WERE BOTH REELING from the vomiting, cramps, diarrhea and chills. By the end of the 2nd day (Thurs) we were in no condition to rest, eat or drink anything. I went back to the only thing that we ate only 1 day before and after digging through my trash can, I discovered the chicken was COMPLETELY ROTTEN! The SELL BY DATE on the packaging was; FEB 9th, but it was sold to us on March 3rd nearly 1 month after it should have been thrown out.
After 5 days of being EXTREMELY sick and this being thee 3rd time, WINN DIXIE can cancel my rewards card because...I WANT TO LIVE!
The store's practice is something to be desired. They truly have no respect for their customers and have ignored my plea to settle this within reason. First it was spoiled/rotten turkey necks, then it was moldy cheese and yogurts. Last year it was rancid pork and shrimp, now it's chicken. Sometimes you just cut your loses and say "it's only a few dollars", "Thank God I didn't eat it", but after looking back, It's nearly $40.00 worth of food and now a serious food poisoning issue that lasted nearly 1 week. We suffered with pains so severe and the worst cases of diarrhea I have ever seen. Neither of us could drink anything for 3 days because even plain water would send our cramps into overdrive.
I still have the original packaging and receipt to confirm this is what made us horribly sick. After calling the store to complain, Ms. Rena at store #0564 on Cottage Hill & Schillinger in Mobile, Al had the nerve to call me a liar for over 8 minutes and never once issued an apology! Not 1 person with authority has returned my calls and I'm still waiting on a letter of apology. Now I must assume the position, get my footing and go to the next level..Corporate is now requesting copies of my proof. Perhaps making copies of my proof and posting them around town will get some type of response...Maybe my local news station will be interested in the copies as well...Wish me Luck.

rip off
Make sure you check prices at other stores before you shop and winn dixie... Some of there prices are double anyplace else... I went to target last night and they had the same ice cream that winn dixie sells for $6.59.. At target it was $3.60.. The exact same ice cream and that was regular price... Unreal.. And I have seen food at publix that is also cheaper then at winn dixie... When they give you that 5 dollar coupon to shop at winn dixie again they are not giving you any kind of deal... You overpay at least that when you shop there... Even drinks and chips were cheaper at target and even cookies were cheaper... And scott towels were cheaper at publix buy $1.50 for 4 rolls... Where is consumer protection in this country... Even when I was in the checkout line some guy said there prices seem very high he was talking to his wife... Yeah 7 eleven prices... Company's get away with murder in this country now the stores charge what they want... Where is our government to stop these rip off prices...
they should carefully hire stuff
I was shopping in Winn Dixie Stores. They gave me a coupon the previous time and I wanted to use it this time. Actually the cashier forgot to take it in time and I got no discount. I wanted a refund but they refused. They should carefully hire stuff or they’ll lose all the customers.
sold me disgusting ground beef
One of the articles that I purchase on Saturday 09/22/12 AT Winn Dixie Located in 14655 SW 104th St Miami, FL 33186 was ground beef . The ground beef was very disgusting. When i started making the ground beef I found tiny pieces of white and black plastic bags inside the ground beef. i could not believe it. I was very upset that immediately i throw the the ground beef in the garbage.
Then go see a doctor.
I TOOK THE GROUND BEEF BACK BUT NOW IM CONCERN ABOUT ME AND MY DAUGHTER HEALTH!
i also found some black plastic in my ground beef in my daughter and I ate the ground is that safe
You should have taken the ground beef back to Winn-Dixie with your receipt to get a refund or an exchange,
cashing checks
I have been going to this store for years and they put me threw an FBI back round check to cash a check...Never had a bad check with them and they treat you like you just came from Russia...And the 3 working don't know me yet...Give me a break..What a bunch of stupid people at this store...I will go to publix from now on forget this place...Know wonder this store is going under..Under paid idiots is what you get...
I have been a local customer of Winn Dixi in Destin for 5 years now with no complaints until the recent renovation of signs and long no break isles for more product. Finding items now is extremely difficult for customers and employees alike because of the design. Because the product signs are resessed in the isles by at least ten feet, no one can see where the products are unless one walks the width of the store.
If V shaped signs like in Publix were in front of the isles and extended at the rear of the isles, customers could see what products were in each isle without having to walk the width of the store. The design is outrageous and totally disfunctional. How could a new renovation be so flawed? It really is mind boggling.
I've been shopping at Winn-Dixie for the last 4 years. My mother shopped at many different Winn-Dixies over the course of 45+ years.
Neither of us have ever had an experience that wasn't resolved to our satisfaction. As for the prices, when I started doing the shopping I checked all the local completion. Unless I was willing to buy unfamiliar brands and bag my own groceries Winn-Dixie was the best choice.
I will cede that they do tend to understaff on a regular basis.
the manger was rude and unprofessional
I was walking in the store and i heard the manger yelling at his emplyee. That poor woman didnt desivre it. The manger was rude and unprofessional. I could'nt belevie it! I don't understand why this company has a man like him working for this company. I will no longer shop at Winn Dixie. Something has to be done about this.
I was shopping at the Port Salerno Winn Dixie and i asked the store manger Guy could he help me find an item. He looked at me in a angry way, like i bothered him. I could tell he didn't want to help because he wasn't friendly and he didn't have good customer service. He didn't smile at all or ask how i am. I refuse to shop there.

horrible service, horrible product, high prices
I have been shopping at Winn Dixie for 40 years, in many locations and I have never had such a bad experience with them until the past year. I have had milk and meat in date and spoiled, deli food that made my family sick, cut fruit that was either not fresh or tasted not ripe ( expensive too), no one to help me in the floral dept, and people who did not know about their products and did not seem to care. I had been shopping at this location for the past 5 years and needless to say I will now shop a Publix. This past year this store has gone completely down hill. My family and friends have also had bad experiences at this store. We will never go back to this or any Winn Dixie ever again. These past several months have made up my and my family and friends minds. No wonder that they went bankrupt.
bad service
I will not shop at Winn Dixie any longer because Manager in Ocala allows all sorts of loud solicitations. These are not viable, 501C entities and I do not approve of their mission. I will not buy a T-shirt for drug program, not contribute to homeless shelter which is not described. It's no better than people with cardboard signs on the road. We are constantly harassed and if we do not provide money, we are told that "God is bless us". Very uncomfortable. I come to the store to shop for food, my donations which are very ample are my personal business. Manager allows too many beggers in front of the store. Very uncomfortable.
not treated right
The employees back in the deli/baker, the manager debbie, is not treating her employees right, if use the cell phones taken away, told the manager of the store if seen using cell phones take away, she said o.k. she will, also, getting in there face, yelling at them like kids, spreading rumours about the staff, like on drugs, even tiffeny was leaving, they didn't want her to leave so they made a deal with her to keep her, she was saying to do something with debbie also, debbie is tring to get a job aldis, she wants out of bakery/deli.
No manager has the right to be in any ones face no matter their age. Also this is not school, no one has the right to confiscate your personal property. They can just write you up and tell you not to do so again. And gossip is a no no in all worplaces, I do not think anything about this is policy or procedure.
selling rotten food
I shop at store number 607, quite often. it's the closest grocery store around me. However, every time and I do mean EVERY TIME I go in there, I'm always ending up getting rotten meats, that haven't quite expired, yet, when you open them, man you can tell it's rotten, and also them not taking products off the shelves that are expired, and not just expired...

I was at the Cocoa Beach store on May 14 earlier in the day to shop and then went back around 5:45 to shop again. I was trespassed for thanking one of the girls who checked me out for blowing a quick-motioned thank you kiss with the way of my hand and arm. Apparently, the young mananger Joe was jealous of the fact that I did this to his girlfriend. So he called the police on me because he said the girls wanted to stop blowing them kisses and I said that I wasn't doing anything harmful and that the way I always say thank you or hello to my friends and or people who serve me. The G.M didn't do anything about it. I have shopped there for 13 years and this is how I am treated.

winn dixie store in middleburg florida has a real issue with employee welfare. My daughter currently works here and was approached by a manager and pulled aside in to their office without a third party present. she was so distraught after it i decided to launch this complaint on how the management of this store conducts its service to its employees. i am going to seek further actions through winn dixie corporate and an attorney due to the power grabbing approach. Very unfair management practices need addressed.
Well stop blowing young girls kisses problem solved. If they don't like it DON"T do it.
sexual harassment
Alicia Diana *Di* Craig On May 11th, 2007 She looked at my crotch and smiled. Then acted as if it didn't happened. About a year ago she told my neighbor " I followed her to her house & if I sis that again she shoot me" "Ms, Craig is showing a lack of professional judgment, Used her privilege position more than once in questionable ethical and moral...
