This involved the Sun City Center Store, Fl (#0619). last Thursday, May 9, I saw in the Produce Dept a sign over the Honey Crisp Apples $1.99 /lb 1/2 price regularly $3.99 /lb. Since I never had eaten this type of Apple, I decided to purchase one of them. At the register, it rung up at $3.99 /lb. I went back to the sign thinking that I had made a mistaken, but I did not. In fact, an employee working in that area looked at my receipt and the store sign and told me to go to Customer Service for an adjustment. The blonde lady at Customer Service looked through the circular and could not find the advertised price. So, she went back to the Produce Dept to examine the sign. She returned to me and said there was no sign there and that I must have been mistaken. I could not believe what she was saying so I returned with her to the Produce Dept where she pointed out to me that there was no sign. If I did not go back a second time, I would have thought that that I was mistaken. It is so obvious that she removed the sign and basically implied that I did not know what I was seeing. I asked to speak to the Manager and she called for an employee called Chris. He was very accommodating and gave me the difference when I told him what had happened. I was furious as to the stunt that this lady pulled on me. She tried to make a fool of me. I was very upset in the way this lady treated me. You can bet that I will never return to this store again. She should not be working in customer service since she has no idea what the words mean. I should not have been insulted because the store made an error. I bought a package of apple strudel a I do it every week. I tried them today and they hardly had apple in them. Nevertheless, the pastry base below the apple layer wasn't layered but bonded together in a solid mass making it difficult to bite through or cut with a serrated knife - it was like eating cardboard. Unfortunately, this product is not up to Winn - Dixie bakery standards. I would suggest that you get another vendor who can make a reasonably acceptable apple strudel. You have enough variety in your store for us to buy something else and I'm sure, be satisfied. I would never buy this strudel from your store Thank you again.

This is a widespread problem with ALL Winn-Dixie's stores and maybe Corporate policy. The latest is taking 'Shower to Shower Sport" off your shelves. This s a man's product, not a female product, why? PC?
I been a Winn-Dixie's customer for many many years. Don't get yourself involved political and social media nonsense.

I went into the Covington Winn Dixie and bought a buggy full of groceries only to find that I had to check out in the self checkout. So a process that shouldn't have only took a small amount of time took a lot longer due to the overrides that were required. I was told that "someone didn't show up for work" only to see 4 different women at the front standing around talking. One of them at the service desk with no customers, one straightening cookies on a shelf until she had to come and override my station where I was checking myself out! And to tell me what I was doing wrong each time she can't ti overrude my machine so I could continue. And the other two who had been standing around talking since the time I entered the store who I know could work a register because when I began to leave one of them got on a register. I do not live in COVINGTON I only work there but I will not stop there again to do my shopping.

I wish I could say I enjoy my experience working at Winn-Dixie being that is my first job, but I cannot. I can describe myself as a very optimistic person that is very reserved and is hard to upset, but going to work every weekend has been miserable. The management at Winn-Dixie is terrible in which I have been attempting to do my job and I am being fussed at in front of the customers for simple mistakes, such as putting the customers bags in their cart while I'm trying to ring up their groceries and make sure they have their discounts, my supervisor has also told me that I talk too much when I am only trying to extend excellent customer service. As a high school student that is very involved in her school, It sucks that my weekend consist of getting in trouble for things out of my control because my supervisor shows her distaste for me and the managers lack apathy to act on this estrangement.
unethical behavior and disrespectful staff
On 11/03/2018 I came to the store and purchased groceries. When i returned home, I notice that the price that I was charged for the items were not correct according to the deals that were advertised by the store. I arrived at the store around 6:38pm, 32 minutes after checking out the first time. I went to customer service to inform them of the issue and I was automatically approached with disrespect from the customer associates, (young white male brown hair, and white female-Kelly, Time 6:43pm 11/3/2018), which argued back in forth with me in front of other customers about the advertised price for approximately 7 minutes. I requested the customer service manager, who I thought would defuse the situation but I was sadly mistaken. So I came to the conclusion and just told them that I would like a refund. The cameras at this Winn Dixie captured this event also I recorded this with my Phone which I am going to have my husban put on a usb drive. Very rude Employees and Customer Service Manager. In my opinion and others that was around, this seems like a case of Discrimination because the color of my skin, which I hope is incorrect. I'm asking someone to look into this matter and retain these employees and managers on what great customer service consist of. Thank you for your time.
meat and produce labelling
I need to know, why our local grocery store in La Belle Fl doesn't have all meat and produce marked from outside our country. I do not wish do buy product from outside our country and cant find any labeling on meat from mexico or any other country. I have to ask for this information and was told they no longer have to label such information. It's very disturbing to me as the consumer not to have it clearly marked on packaging about this information. Please correct me on any mislead information or if the laws have change on this type of labeling.

Hello I went to the Winn Dixie in Destrahan LA. I had received a store coupon from the cashier that printed by the register at the beginning of October. Today I went to use the coupon and it would not scan. The cashier asked the head cashier to help but she was unable to. The coupons are not clear due to not changing the ink in the machine. So I said forget it. Then after I paid he handed me more store coupons that are not clear. What good is giving customers coupons they can not use? Please address this issue. I felt it unfair that I could have saved on an item, but due to them not wanting to type the number or change the ink I was unable to.

girl at customer service is always by herself and the rest of the employees are in their own world. I had asked a cashier if she could call someone to help her, she told me no, then i asked her call the manger. She gave me the dirtiest look. What the heck. Finally the manager came out of his cave, called someone and the lady comes to the customer service desk and the lady ask "what is going on" and lady at the customer service told her that she cant help her, due to training. Lady didn't even acknowledge the four people in line.
That was the worst experience... And they wonder why winn dixie stores are closing.

I went to Winn Dixie as my go to for dinner when I walked to the deli to get a box of chicken it was 545 and their was no more. I asked if they could get me some and was told that it would take two hours for them to get one 8 piece box of fried chicken to cook. They was rude and unprofessional. Clearly this store needs to get it together this I'd the third time I have came in and them not have what I needed and the employees didn't want to work. Cashier's great. The manager that was their great... The store needs alot of improvement... Will not return

Hi my name is Tanesha Mitchell on 9/6/2018 a prescription was summited to your winn Dixie store in wildwood fl and was not due to be no earlier than 9/12/2018 i received a call saying they dont except my insurance I asked if it could be sent to my regular pharmacist and was told my pharmacist had to call when my pharmacist from safe script in wildwood fl called he was told prescription was filled on 6th or 7th I then contacted winn Dixie to see what was going on and all they can say is it was filled and picked up they don't know by who and don't have signature confirmation which is very crazy because for a controlled substance you need ID verification and signature and now refuse to send my prescriptions to my pharmacist can you please foward this to the proper department or i will be forced to get the medical board involved this is very unprofessional and unacceptable RESPECTFULLY TANESHA MITCHELL [protected]

While shopping at the Military Trail and Okeechobee Blvd. Winn Dixie this morning (Tuesday [protected]) I couldn't find something, I saw a female employee exit the back and so I said "Excuse me, where can I find frozen meatballs with no pork in them?" and the woman said "It ain't my job to know that.", so I said "You're a Winn Dixie employee aren't you?", and she replied "Yea I am but it ain't my job to help Crackers." And she walked away. I was stunned. I could not believe I was just racially insulted because I asked a question. As I walked away from my almost full cart another employee stopped me, told me the woman that had just insulted was named Alex, apologized on behalf of Winn Dixie, said that Alex is always like that with white people and so I shouldn't take it personally, and then he walked me straight to the item I was looking for. He was a very nice employee. Alex was a mean and racially prejudice employee. When I checked out this morning my bill was over $300. dollars. Why would Winn Dixie continue to employ such a prejudice person? Maybe I should start shopping at Publix.

It's not often i feel the need to complain formally but when it puts my family health at risk i see no prevention.
The first incident involved a Bag of Tyrell's Kettle chips which, after consuming the bag in its entirety, discovered has passed it's BBF date. This didn't seem significant enough to forge a complaint over at the time. All incidences mentioned i have photos off as proof, if/ when required. However, 3 weeks later (1st July) i purchased rice at the same #349 branch (5600 West Sample Road, Margate, FL 33073) and upon opening the bag there seemed to be 'cobweb' type membranes woven through the bag. Upon closer inspection there were visibly LIVE WEEVIL & PUPAE not only cocooned to the sides of the bag but in & amongst the rice itself.
Storing contaminated products be it in your store room or shop floor can easily cross contaminate other consumables. What due diligence records have you in place to prevent this as clearly your procedures & checks have proven insignificant. Beetles, such as Weevil & their Lava, are intermediate hosts for certain parasites & deadly bacteria. Winn Dixie are clearly lacking of trading standards and flouting FDA code regulations with improper due diligence procedures.
In this incident I'm afraid a simple refund won't suffice. I would like to know what type/ breed of Weevil live in Winn Dixie's Mahatma brand Basmati rice as i subsequently inhaled some of the fly-away cobweb dust which puts my 5 month old fetes at risk of listeria. When the quality of your products CANNOT be guaranteed the risk is that of my unborn child being carried to full term.

Store #1405, Gretna, Louisiana is the store where I make most of the purchases for my household. Today I had an unpleasant situation with one of your associated, his name is Wynton. I had few problems before with this employee, but I consider it usuals hickups you can have on some days. Today was a little different, I bought some meat and coffee and I was going to play some lottery numbers. Slips for megamillions was missing from the rack and I asked Wynton to please provide me with some( I know that there are plenty in the back, as this happened few times before and the employees that were working at those times were nice enough to get them from the back). He was not even thinking about checking for it, he categorically said, that they run out of it. Now, I know that it is not true, I saw his attitude and I told him to please check it out. He ignored me and after I asked him one more time he told me that I was rude, and wispered words that I was unable to ear. It was very unpleasant, and I told him that he cannot do that, that I am a costumer and he has to treat me as such. Hopefully the numbers that I was going to play would not be the winning ones, for I will be very mad and I will be possible suing someone, including the company. Please retrain this employee, he needs to be more respectfull towards the costumers.

hot food section staff simone and store manager larry
Winn Dixie Store # 0326 Tamarac, Florida is my local store for 5 years and 2 times had terrible employee and manager situations made me angry enough to take time and make a complaint hoping that this reaches somebody in the company who cares about their customers being treated by employees who simply should not be representing Winn Dixie or hold a job in customer service at all!
02.25.18 I go in Winn Dixie around 1pm to 1:30 PM. I'm getting beer and possibly hot ready made food so I don't have to cook. I go to the hot food section and ask Simone if I could sample the chicken wings. She gave me a napkin and picked one wing and was wonder about another flavor. Before I could even taste the 1st wing I was looking at maybe trying another flavor, Simone, loud and rude in front of 4 other customers, "You can only have 1 sample!" I was a little shocked and wondered if she was talking to homeless person trying to steal or get away with free food. She wasn't talking loudly, insultingly and angry to anyone else but me. After the shocked, I got pissed off wondering why would an employee talk to customers like this! Usually things like this I pay no mind because Simone could be having a bad day. This is the 2nd time I've had problems with this store, this department and with simply terrible attitude and angry employees at the hot food section.
I walked away put down the chicken wing I was going to sample. I did not want to have an unpleasant scene escalate. I went ahead and got some other things I needed, paid for those things and then asked to speak to a manager. I just wanted to tell the manager about the bad experience and not looking for anything in return besides understanding. The manager, Larry was no better in hearing, never mind helping the bad experience. Larry, the manager, flippantly looked at me as if I had 3 heads and basically said, "What DO YOU WANT me to do about it?" There was no care, no concern and looked at me like I was a babbling [censor]. I left the store angry and wondering how are people like this who treat other people terribly continue working at a customer based store. How is Larry a manager? This is the 2nd time I've dealt with Larry as a store manager and walked away thinking, "How does someone who has no professional customer service traits have the title as a"store manager". Larry has a demeanor of high school maturity and mentality and seemingly worst than the employees he manages!
Again, for 5 years living in Tamarac, Fl, Winn Dixie is my local grocery store. There is Walmart and Publix nearby but I have chosen to give my business Winn Dixie in most times. The saving and values I get from the products get me to come back as a local consumer, does that mean I have to accept [censor], immature and unqualified employees because the convenience and saving money. Is this the Winn Dixie motto," Save money get treated like [censor] and the employees and managers don't care about customers!"
I am digressing because I am pissed! Here's another thing. There were a few other customers near me when I was making my complaints to Larry and heard me get loud with Larry. These few customers came outside talked and told me that they have dealt with terrible customer service over and over and talking to Larry is even worst! How is that for reputation?
I do not know what will come of this complaint but I have voiced it and now written it. I will also copy and paste this and have thoughts to bring attention to this with the local newspapers and television news. I do know that I am not the first to lodge complaints from this store and it's staff and more likely not be the last.

I was in your store when my daughter witnessed two employees kissing in a break room. I only noticed them because she had stopped in front the door of the break room, as I walked up to find out what was wrong I seen the employees kissing myself. This is an unacceptable act for my daughter to have witnessed, We do not come to this store to see employees kissing at work, and employees come to work at least that is what they are supposed to be doing. I have been coming to this store for a long time and won't accept this kind of behavior. Now my daughter is asking a lot of question I was not ready for her to know about so soon. This is something she should have never seen in the first place. I was very upset about this, and as I checked out I found out that the two employees we had seen were a manager and a cashier. The managers name was Terrance and the cashier's name was Jasmine no last name. This made it even more of an issue in my mind. This is not about getting anyone fired as we all need our Jobs, nor do I want them to be fired at all. As a company, you like others have many ways of dealing with and talking to employees about anything that happens. I want to keep shopping at this store but will not do so if this might happen again, I do not wish for my daughter to ever see something like this again not at her age. i'm complaining about the whole store in deli
The whole store has many empty end caps. Rude employees. When I went to the deli a few weeks back a employee had a swollen eye an I had asked what happened being concerned and they told me that they were making that employee work with pink eye. I have also been served there with many other employees sick to where I just had to walk away so I wouldnt get sick. I know employee handbooks especially food related are not aloud to work when they have certain symptoms. Im literally wanting to take my business elsewhere if that store cant at least treat there employees with common decency. Ive been going to that store for years an I love the store and the deli is where I always shop and I know a few people there just from being a regular and its sad that a few employees cant call off even if they are sick or have pink eye or even have no gas to make it in with out getting fired. Im so disgusted in the way that store is becoming even before the new manager wayne came.

I talked to the manager and he said he would check the cameras. Now I am scared. I admit that I did lie about the $1.99 price. I wanted to try the apple but I did not want to be charged $3.99 per lb so I lied and said that it is $1.99 '/ lb. I am sorry. I hope I do not get charged with fraud or theft. If it helps I am willing to pay the real price for the apple.
