Purchased XCover.com Travel Insurance ($127.01), through Booking.com, (12 Mar 2022) to cover two round trip flight tickets (to Key West, 1 Apr -8 Apr 2022. We had to cancel the flight reservations 1 April 2022 due to an error in port of departure & return. We assumed that Augusta (AUG) was Augusta, Ga (AGS), when we made the reservations, and when we arrived at the Airport we were told that AUG was Augusta, ME and not Augusta, GA. We immediately notified Booking to cancel the reservations and decided to drive to Key West. Booking emailed us the cancelation confirmation and a link to XCover.com to submit the claim. I submited the claim with XCover and emailed this company mulitipule times, trying to get a answer or status to our claim with no response. The XCover.com website states that the claim has already be submitted and nothing else, no contact information on requesting status or information on refunds.

Completely agreed. They are a 100% scam. We purchased insurance as well and could not get on next flight since the ticket office was closed 1 hour before the flight and not allowing electronic boarding tickets.
I reached out to xcover.com and filed a claim and they denied it finding completely unacceptable excuse not to refund us for additional tickets we bought.
Don't waste your money.

You are 100% right. Why don't you contact the company who sold you the ticket? If they see that the clients aren't happy they may start offering insurance from a better & more trustworthy insurance company. Leaking stories like this to the media may also help. Good luck.
Thanks for your comment. I have already done exactly that. I've written to Ryan Air, and also advised that it will be given to the media. At first they beat around the bush, but now they say they are going to look into it. If within the next 4-6 weeks I don't get a reasonable response, then the next step will be the media and the financial ombudsman. But why don't you also do that? Thy now that most people want take any actions, and that's why they laugh people to their face.

Guys
Don’t fall for this insurance .Its screwup .All they need is only to take your money .But when you actually need help ,there is no one to help. There is no phone number or email you can call or email. I both my ticket and choose them. I was in trouble and needed to cancel my flight .Tried that contact form at least 7 times ,and no one come back to me for 3 months .I contacted Ryanair and they advised me to just not show up on flight and do claim when date is over .When i did claim ,they actually contacted me in next working day. Obviously they said that they won’t pay out any payments regarding cancelation .Tried to explain my problem and that I tried to contact them multiple times during 3 months but they didn’t want to know. I could sale tickets or change dates. But because I was told to not do anything and do claim after my return date ,I lost everything .
Guys I lost 5 k .Really don’t fall for this one .There are other good companies ,but this one is a disaster

Abraham. S.
I bought policy through Ryan Air.
Filled in Xcover's complaint form. Didn't get response.
Then I emailed complaint to; support@xcover.com. Didn't get response.
Tried to call Xcover's UK phone line.
It gives you three options;
1. Medical Emergency,
2. Inquiry,
3. Make a claim,
When you press 2 or 3, an automated message tells you to go online.
When you press 1 for Medical Emergency, it informs you that you are being transferred to a medical assistance provider. But it does NOT transfer you, the call just disconnects. And if you look at the policy you will see that for medical issues you are only covered if you have given prior notice - which is IMPOSIBLE to do!
It is a disgrace on Ryan Air, that they work with such a company. If people would contact the newspapers, then maybe Ryan Air would stop being a party to such a scam.

BIGGEST JOKE EVER!
XCOVER DO NOT PROVIDE GREAT SERVICE FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS IN THE SLIGHTEST!
I'm Alicia,
I had an anniversary trip coming up this weekend and because of an unforeseen financial emergency with my brother, we had to cancel our trip. While every other aspect of our trip that we paid for was canceled with no issues and issued a flight credit for a later time, this company XCover decided that my situation wasn't good enough for them to reimburse me my almost $400. When something unforeseen happens, you mean to tell me that your company just says sorry for your luck but we're going to keep your almost $400 and you have no option to use the funds at a later date? Why would anyone use your services or purchase any of your products if y'all are operating like this? It's very unfortunate that no one can be called to discuss matters with this company over the phone. Booking.com needs to have another product to partner with for travel insurance if this is the type of "service" that is provided by a partner in business. Where is the integrity and honor in people who come up with these rules, maybe they don't have emergencies to come up at the wrong times but this is wrong on so many levels. Feeling ripped off is an understatement.

Xcover travel insurance is a waste of money, it's a terrible product with very small coverage after all the conditions. Ryanair has a partnership with them, don't be fooled.
Avoid it.

You are so right! A waste of money, they will figure out a way NOT to pay. My flight was delayed causing us to miss our connecting flight, no flight out for at least 24 hours later, so we had to cancel trip. (it was a short weekend trip) Spirit acknowledged it was because of weather, apologized, gave us a voucher and refunded connecting flight but Xcover denied the claim (they don't pay out for this sort of delay) and did not want to refund the returning ticket of $386. A joke, another insurance company that promises to take care of you until you need them. We had more than enough paper work and documents to prove trip was interrupted.
The initial contact is just email templates and FINALLY someone called after I had to get an attorney and I'm waiting to hear what he has to say about this 2nd denial. Insurance companies always have some loophole not to pay. Since they can't pay I should get a refund. Think twice about using them, they are full of empty promises.
I'm having the same issue with their insurance on two flights I booked for co-workers. It says they cover it being canceled but then says that they won't refund unless you're a student, or teacher, were fired, or lost a body part. I will never use them again and booking.com is a joke.

@Tommy Matanane Did you ever get a refund?
Biggest SCAM I have every seen. Terrible customer service. Have 100% proof that I purchased insurance and they claim a "glitch" caused it to all just disappear. They are claiming that I need to send proof that I purchased it (which I have) to another company so they can even find the policy that I purchased. Claim it will take 7-10 days. They even had the gall to tell me that I was "confused" and didn't understand. This company should be shut down. And the person that keeps commenting on here with the same comment should just quit and do something else IMO. Useless and I will NEVER purchase a ticket for anything who even uses Xcover for their insurance. It's a discrace and an embarasement to Insurance Companies. Lucky for me it is just $150 so it's not the end of the world, but it's too bad all these people who are losing thousands of $ while the Xcover employees banking on all our $. Pathetic!

I lost 1800 us dollars (which was my ticket and "travel protection") when using Gogate with XCOVER insurance. My husband had an official medical problem and letter from doctor, his ticket was reimbursed but not mine. In order to get his ticket reimbursed I had to sign a consent to forfeit getting mine. Very upsetting and a total rip. 100% lie if you have "a loved one with medical needs" you can get covered.
XCover is a scam
Scam. I purchased XCover with my Ryanair flight and had an accident in France. I couldn't flight back as I stayed in the hospital. I made a claim within specified 7 days and for 4 weeks now they demanding same details to process my claim, I already gave them several times. No online chat, no telephone number you can call to talk to them, total rip off. All you can do is to leave them a feedback on Trustpilot, they have an excellent 4.6 review rating there

Update. After leaving this post here and similar review on Trustpilot, Xcover contacted me next day with decision to pay my claim and I had money on my account within next 48 hours.
Hey! How did they reimburse you? I have a claim that was approved and it is asking for my bank routing and account number and that's leaving me a little spooked. I was hoping they would just mail a check
I have the same issue. Did you give your routing info?
Can my concern please be addressed?

Total scam! Avoid at all costs! Bought their insurance with Ryanair tickets and had to cancel my flight due to an illness. I immidiately submitted a claim, but since then have been receiving only "Your claim is still being assessed" messages. Tried to contact them several times through "Complaints" section and through email to no result. There is no call center and no way to chat with an actual person to settle the matter.
XCover is a scam
Scam. I purchased XCover with my Hopper flight round trip tickets. I paid additional $384 for this XCover insurance to cover any delays or cancellations. Our flight on the way home got cancelled due to maintenance issues. We could not get a refund at the airport due to purchasing through an 3rd party (Hopper). We had to rent a car to get home. I immediately contact XCover and ever since October 1 I have been getting the run around. I finally got approved to get a refund for the car rental but XCover wants all of my info including my bank routing number so they supposedly can send my car rental refund to my bank. Who gives that kind of information out.
Even though they have finally decided to give a refund for a car rental, they can’t seem to give a refund for my flight tickets. This makes no sense! I only needed a car rental because my flight got canceled.
Keep in mind that there no online chat, no telephone number you can call to talk to them, total rip off. I will never purchase anything from XCover again!
Xcover stole my money. I bought two round trip tickets, paid for the insurance. I clearly stated that if I canceled my flight that they would refund my 1200.00. They now have denied my claim. Outright theft.
You cannot modify/cancel or your claim being actually reimbursed. DO NOT BUY this insurance policy. you will not be able to use it. IT IS A SCAM!
