Cordless Lawnmower
Hi,
I bought a yardworks battery operated cordless lawnmower. I've been looking for a battery replacement but it is not sold any longer, everything else is in working order so it's frustrating that I have to buy a whole new lawnmower.
Dumping wheelbarrow
I bought is wheel barrel a few years ago I need to replace the barrel or cargo area on it The problem is where do I buy this? I works great and I love it. Its easy to use and holds a large amount. The problem is it is rusted out in the corners. That's why I want to buy new cargo or barrel for it. We should be able to buy parts .
This dumping wheel has four wheels with a lock on them. Nice feature .
What can I expect you to do to resolve this problem.
Watering wand
I have bought 3 long wands since last summer Two of them started leaking and subsequently water burst out of side knobs where the off and on lever is.I now am using the 3rd one that I bought about 2 weeks ago and have used it approx.5 times and this one is starting to leak from the same place. I always keep my receipt but I
I simply can't find it and Canadian Tire will not replace without a receipt. I am beyond mad-please do something for me -I can't afford throwing money out the window. Sandi Greco -me e-mail is [protected]@outlook.com. Phone# [protected]
I’m having the same issue with mine this summer. It’s a couple of years old. Did yardworks do anything for you?
You are absolutely right they did the same thing to me even with my receipt and a 5 years warranty on it I was told to deal with the company directly for a 17.00 item so since then I have quit buying at Canadian Tire and I give my business to Home Depot now...they do honour their warranty and a way better customer service. The girl at Canadian tire couldn’t even bother to crack a smile and she looked like I pas disturbing her chat with another employee! Very poor customer service! I keep their card for the gas only...do not go into their store anymore!
Battery for 18" cordless self propelled lawn mower
Can I get some help with a new battery... or refurbished one for my mower?
I have had to buy 3 so far, and it's far too expensive for me. I really like mower, and
altho it's very heavy, my young helper does too. I have had to store it for about 3 years and use another mower till I can afford a battery.
Any chance of finding one of those old-type batteries? The item number of the MOWER is 270 1241
Thank you

Yardworks/canadian tire canada
Purchased a Yardworks Nozzle for my hose. Worked for about 3 weeks then leaked out the side. Took it back to Canadian Tire they replaced it with an identical one. Used that one about Twice same thing. Went back again lady at service desk says do you have your receipt I told her that it was at home but I just wanted to exchange this for a better model as this one leaked again. She said sorry no can dow without receipt even though it had a Two year warranty. She talked to a manager same story. I left the store in disgust as it was only a 20 dollar item. So please note to everyone who buys stuff at Canadian Tire Keep your receipt at hand because no matter the price they need it otherwise they may go under
Telescopic hedge shears.
Just purchased these 265-4057 shears for my husband for Father's Day and on Saturday we were trying to trim a small bush. He had snipped off six wispy branches and they wouldn't close all the way. After looking at them I can see no reason for them to stop closing. They come within an inch of coming together. They were working perfectly as this was the first time out of the packaging. Needless to say my husband was less than happy with his gift. I'm left trying to replace this piece of garbage and I have a bush that looks like a child tried trimming it. Why do you continue to put out garbage products even after so many people have complained? Why don't you have a valid phone number and website to report these issues listed on your products? Most reputable companies supply all the needed information especially when they claim they have a lifetime warranty. Very Disappointed in YARDWORKS!

Yardworks electric lawn mower #[protected]
My lawn mower is only 4 years old. I have a small yard and am a senior so the mower isn't over used. The starter switch broke so I can't turn the mower on. My son opened up the switch assembly box to find that a "plastic" part had broken. I took it to a repair shop who told me it would cost more to replace the switch assembly than the mower was worth. I called the toll-free helpline and was told they only had 10 of those parts left. The part cost $15.00 plus another $15.00 for delivery. Then I would have to pay a flat fee labour cost of $60.00 + tax at a repair depot. I bought this lawn mower on sale for $100.00 so spending another $100.00 to replace the switch assembly, with the same plastic parts (which will break again) is not an option. I feel it was on sale because it was defective so Yardworks wanted to get rid of them. When I checked online for the part, all sites said that all parts were n/a. I will have to purchase another mower, but I guarantee I will never purchase a Yardworks product again. There is no place in my area that even repairs Yardworks . The toll free line gave me the name of a place that does repair them and when I called, I was told that they do not. So it seems that even Yardworks doesn't know who repairs their products. So I guess the phrase "buyer beware" applies here. Next time I will check out the reviews before making a purchase.
Just jump the switch. When you connect the extension cord, the machine will run. Unplug the extension cord and it will stop. Other then that you could install a generic on off switch. I have the same model since 2006. Still works great. Only one question. Where is that mulch plug?
Thank you. My neighbour is an electrician and he put the generic switch on it for me and now it works like a charm. I have bought several garden things that are Yardworks and they all break or fall apart. Now I only buy Gardena and have no problems. Garden costs more, but it's quality and Yardworks isn't. I appreciate you're responding to my complaint. Your response was helpful.
Batterie
I bought a lawnmower 3 years ago and one more used one one year ago so now I have 3 batteries and two mowers and all of the batteries do not keep their charges it is frustrating when you try to be green and the product do not last I bought it at canadian tire and now this is it I will switch to gas this week end first week of june and not at canadian tire I had enough problems.
I have yardwork batteries but the charger no longer works. Where do I purchase a new charger for a 18 volt system?
Bought my yard works cordless electric lawn mower at Home Depot in Illinois in USA and now the battery doesn't keep charge and you can't find a website or anything to get parts for it. Called a number but the girl I was talking to was from Canada and wasn't much help with the problem. Now you can't find any yard works being sold around me any where.
No receipt to return - broken
Back in May I purchased a yard works gas powered grass trimmer. We used it for approximately 2 months and it quite working. We took it back to the Canadian Tire in Orangeville and they kept it to fix it, and when we went back to pick it up they had lost our weed eater, and gave us another new one to replace the one that they lost, which was just on Monday, August 15th, 2011. When we had it assembled and went to use it, this weed eater also feel apart like the first original one, so when we took it back to the store, the manager wouldn't help us out because we didnt't have the receipt - which they kept when we made the first transaction. The weed eater cost us with tax $155.92. I can't believe that a company like yours likes to take advantage of their customers, especially when the problem is their fault selling faulty products. We also had 3 trips to Orangeville and they could care less about that as well. I have the original box and bar code that it came in, but no no no you have to have the receipt. What kind of company are you running, can you not stand behind your products when you sell them defective! Would like a new WORKING weed eater, or my money refunded. Preferably the last - and will go buy where the store will care about their customers.

This is exactly why I go to Home Depot. Canadian Tire is horrible for the return of their cheap products. have two Grass Trimmers with no charger cause they both broke.
I think what he's getting at is CT held onto his Original receipt when he brought the first one in for repair.
But Yes!, Yardworks trimmers are JUNK! I Can only guess what the rest of the lineup is like.
It's my first and will be my LAST purchase of Yardworks products .
Period!
The manager at the CT in that I spoke in Keswick to was sympathetic to my issue since and pulled parts off a new one to replace the spool cover that broke on the one I bought last fall.
They Don't Even Carry replacement spool covers...
That said, this spring, I was a little more than an hour since unboxing, assembling and using my trimmer when the spool cover exploded in half.
There should be a warning on all Yardworks tools to say guaranteed until unboxed.
And just now second time using it since replacing the cover, THE SAME DAMN THING HAPPENED!
What do you Have to say for yourself CT?
A: As long as you suckers buy, we'll sell to you?
You have GOT to be kidding! You BLAME Someone else for YOUR incompetence?
YOU Loose your receipt and it's the companies fault?
Drive gear problems
Snow blower drive gears have totally stopped working. This machine was recalled the first year that I had it and had the full drive replaced. It has now given out again with not much use.

I purchased a leaf blower at the east Windsor Canadian Tire store some years ago. I just got it out of the shed to use around the yard and the zipper on the bag literally fell apart. I tried to repair it but couldn't get the zipper tab back onto the zip. I went to the store to get a new bag and they tell me that it was discontinued and they can't get me one. Why buy a product if you cant fix it when it breaks. What do you expect me to do? Must I buy a new leaf blower just because the bag is now useless..The blower itself is perfect...Now what?

I bought a leaf blower in a Laval Canadian Tire store a few years ago (5, 6 years and probably more than that) and the bag fell apart.
I called, left a message in the voice mailbox and someone called back yesterday.
24 hours later I had the bag delivered to my door for 28$ all included. Quite happy with this transaction which took less time than leaving this comment.
What's the use of going to CanadianTire for service when they have no replacement parts for any of the YardWorks products? Customer Service is nonexistent at the best of times and personnel is usually very poorly trained on the products they sell. I learned my lesson early on and after I had a disastrous experience with product service, I stay away from their stores and use Home Hardware instead. As far as the Yardworks brand is concerned, I found out that they have no idea of what the word service entails! I am trying to get a replacement bag for my Yardworks 12 A leaf blower/vacuum but to no avail. Canadian Tire staff tells you to get back to the company and they tell you in turn to go to Canadian Tire for service and parts. Go figure! Needless to say that I'll never will look at Yardworks products again! The overwhelming amount of complaints warrants involvement of CBC's Market Place!

I bought a [protected] model blower/vac and the bag shredded in no time. I cleaned up my leaves by putting a potatoe sack over it which was a lot of hassle - pinning and unpinning with each bag. I looked at the info on this website and called the # and was surprised to be able to order a replacement for $17.99 shipped to my address. Unfortunately, even though I gave the model #, they sent the wrong bag! Then when I called they said that was a frequent occurance and gave me a phone # that wasn't a 1 800 and told me that was the supplier and I had to deal with them. The packing slip had no usable info for a reference #
Aside from this problem, the connector where the blower tube attaches is plastic and broke after only a few uses. It has to be attached properly or the motor doesn't run. I wedged a stone in it and now it runs but is unsafe because it doesn't shut off if that disconnects.I strongly advise against purchasing this or any Yardworks tools - it just built to cheap and the product support is terrible
My turn to gripe.. I'm 71 and everyday I get more and more upset with the junk that these CEOs insist on getting made in China and foisting on consumers to make their bottom line look good. Doesn't anybody care about the consumer anymore? I just bought a Yardworks hose cart, on four wheels, and assembled it; when you turn the drum one side ring looks like a drunken sailor staggering down the lane because it was not welded true. Oh it's going back but not before I send a video of this wonderfully made piece of equipment to Canadian Tire's boss man. I'm curious to know just how proud this person is of this junk that they sell Canadians. Cheers all Paul
hello everyone..not sure if this reply is good or not but my yardworks bag fell apart also
called yardworks at [protected] and the guy gave me a website www.ordertree.com and under parts enter [protected] for a new bag
shipping and tax was just under $30 CDN
I too bought a Yardworks leaf blower and the bag failed in the first year. Luckily I kept the bag from a previous Toro blower which is ten years old and still in great shape. The plastic deflector valve broke off at the shaft to the control knob on my [protected] model blower/vac . Still waiting from Dec 8th for an answer from the company. Sounds like one should stick to names like Toro with a good reputation.
The fabric on the bag on ours also broke down. There's holes all through it. I wish it was the zipper at least it can be repaired with Velcro 😔
My zipper broke as well. Had hardly used this brand new machine I purchased a while back. I tried 2 way tape which obviously didn't work well. I'll give the Velcro idea a try, or I'll have to try and sew a better zipper into the bag. At least this way, the manufacturer won't be getting more cash in after market sales on this product. We're supposed to have consumer protection laws preventing shoddy products from making it to the marketplace to begin with. Why are they not being enforced? Canadian Tire should step up to the plate and make this right. They should be the ones going after this lousy manufacturer. After all, it's their reputation that's on the line as well. Don't give me a 1-800 number to call. You're the one that's representing this product by having it available in your stores! Either replace the unit for free & go after the manufacturer for misrepresenting you to the consumer, or pay to replace/repair the product yourself. Anything else is just poor customer relations and just plain bad business!
I bought a leaf blower from Canadian tire last October . I used it 3 times and the third time it gave out. I went and got it replaced and the newest one I have has given out as well . Only used it twice . Why do you people keep selling this garbage
I just phoned [protected] (Sunrise Global) and ordered a new zippered bag for my [protected], 12A blower/vacuum...delivered to the door shipping and tax in at $31.64...p.s...never had a problem with the zipper only normal wear and tear on the material which is expected.
No support
Went into Cdn Tire today to get a simple replacement belt for the Auger, low and behold they no longer carry the Belts, ( But I can take it to there repair Depot ) kinda funny that the sales rep didnt tell us the will no longer support the products the are trying to sell... ohya my bad, they still got 20+ of the same macine sitting on te floor...

RE: THE INVISIBLE COMPANY: Yardworks Mr. Kuntze made the statement that "the Yardworks company seems to like being invisible". I purchased this yardworks tractor in June of 2004, with the 4 year extended warranty. At the time I was told that this was one of the best riding lawnmowers available at canadian tire. I paid $1799.00 plus GST for it.In September of 2004, the transmission blew on the tractor. It was under warranty, so it was replaced at the time the tractor had only 25...
