My best friend is a high-functioning adult. Recently she was taken advantage of and she informed them of her disability because there were some thing she couldnt understand. She paid AAMCO hundreds of dollars to start repairs on her car and eighteen days later they sold it without telling her. When she got the letter from the place they sold it to informing her, it was the beginning of a holiday weekend. when she called and told AAMCO about the letter, they lied and told her it was a mistake, her car was still there. she had to do police reports and go to another state and pay over $1000 to get her car back (the place that bought it is in another state). they didn’t let her see her car and so when she got her car towed back home, it was not fixed as she had paid for, but vandalized, pillaged through and items were taken from it. The police wont pursue an investigation because AAMCO lied and told them she broke a contract. AAMCO refused to return her money or accept responsibility for what happened. i think its sickening that they would take advantage of a disabled person. #autismspeaks
