We bought a LG LED TV at duty free katunayaka. And used for only 3 months and one day when we switched on it there was defect in the picture. We took the TV to close by Bans service centre and they said it's due to physical damage to the screen and it's not covered under warranty and it will cost around 60, 000 Ra's (about 85-90% of original price). With that answer we were shocked and we went to the head office and unfortunately we got the same reply from there also.
Actually we don't know how that physical damage occurred and we didn't expect a irresponsible answer from a reputed company .
We are regular customer of Bans (we have LG fridge, microwave, air condition, electrode's washing machine, Elba 4 burn cooker) and we were not satisfied with there after sales service.
We thought it will be repaired under warranty.
hp laptop I have bought few days ago
Dear sir,
I was told that with the laptop I have brought I will get the original windows 10 software.I asked the product key for OS but they didn't give me one.They sure me that it was a original OS.I trusted them but now I can't activate office package because they ask activation key for that which is I haven't.I fell like juggling.Please refer to my complain & do the justice

Abans instant water heater with water pump (abwh-36)
Dear Sir, Yesterday I have purchased your Abans Instant Water Heater with water pump(ABWH-36) from Badulla Showroom. Recent to buy this particular model with water pump my place having low water pressure in the water line. Today we have fix this unit but unfortunately pump not start with shower valve. To start pump every time we have to press pump on button which is not convenient all also not good to unit. Then I check with your manual and customer service and then only it mentioned, this particular unit need good water pressure to start pump automatically. Since I dont have sufficient water pressure in my water line and to rectify this and get hot water, I purchase this heater. Sadly this also need good pressure to work which not mentioned before I buy this. With this situation I am unable to use this unit and I have to return this. Request to replace TV display or to provide relief of short life LG TV
This is good enough to inform you that I am being a long time user of LG products. I purchased the above TV at Kalmunai L.G show room on 7th of November 2012. My regular usage of this TV is being not more than 2 hours in a day. I have used this TV only for two years up to now.
At present, the TV has viewed as a different colour after that I handed over to check the TV at Kalmunai L.G show room. They advised me that the repair cost will be 80 % of the purchased price of Rs: 65, 000/= at yours Abans limited.
As a result of brand loyalty is being very strong on Abans product, Abance is well reputed organization in this region and a good after sales service is available at Abans, the valuable amount I spent on L.G TV. Obviously, the TV display works over 5-10 years to all TV brands, the other users are using the same brand TV more than five years time without any troubles but only my TV worked only for two years. Hence, I think this TV might be a low quality or a fault product. Since this kind of unexpected events may cause serious damage to the brand loyalty of LG brand, I hope your company will take favorable remedy and give me a better solution.
Therefore, I kindly request your good office to provide me to change the TV display with free of charge or provide me relief discount to buy a new TV to keep your LG products as a Good hope in my Life.

As a result we can buy a new TV as possible but the product of the Abans limited of Sri Lanka has not gain a proper progress as decision including this issue. When i conclude the TV display works over 5-10 years to all TV brands, the other users are using the same brand TV more than five years time without any troubles but only my LG TV as worked only for two years when I deduct the warranty period only for one year I have use this LG product TV . Hence, I think this TV might be a low quality or a fault product.I have already listed on the above complaint on my product of the TV as I sure. I refer to above, and regret to inform that the fridge taken over for repairs on 19.09.2015 have still not returned.
I have made all repair charges on 14.10.2015 at wellawatte repair center.
They told me that it was sent to your Ratmalana workshop. further they told me that it will in returned with in 3 days .
When i inquired from the Ratmalana workshop they told us this particular model is not repaired by them.
Later, I had gone to wellawatte repair center on several occasion. Please look into this matter urgently and return our fridge early.

Cheating sale
I bought a TV from abans at Jaffna in one of their stock clearing sale.
The manager there told that the product is good. But they are not giving warranty and could be repaired at a cost if any fault comes.
I bought is for 54000 Rs.
The TV failed within two months.
Their service center told that it is beyond repair. and they cannot repair.
When I contacted the sales manager, he told me to give a letter so that he can try some compensation.
Now he is not answering for my mobile call.
Selling defect macbook pro and not giving us a one to one replacement
I purchased a "macbook pro" from abans i-store in kollupitiya, two weeks ago with a one year warranty for software and hardware. At the time of purchasing I was guaranteed by the sales person that it is possible to have a one to one replacement, if there is an issue whatsoever which cannot be resolved.
Now the laptop gets stuck when it is shutting down all the time and freezes during run time intermittently. I was told by abans representatives that restoring the os will sort out the issue, but it didn't work.
After contacting abans representatives continuously, I was informed by manager level person ([protected]@charith) that, one to one replacement will be taken place only if the machine doesn't turn on in the store at the buying time. I do not understand why abans tries to lower its customers intelligence by stating this kind of illogical comments. No conscious customer will buy a machine which doesn't work at the buying time, and a warranty for such product doesn't mean anything to anyone. It is not a one year warranty, but maybe 10 minutes one?
Please act and comment responsibly when you communicate with customers.
I purchased this, because my previous laptop stopped working and I didn't want other issues or distractions while i'm doing my university project. This project is very critical to my degree and it is essential to deliver the project within time. I simply cannot wait for two or three days without doing anything, but for repairing this so called brand new laptop. Naturally the confusion I have right now is, did I purchase a 'broken laptop' to get it repaired from you?
On saturday you guys did the hardware checking and today you guys re-installed the os. What more you guys can do? Take the pieces apart? I don't want a laptop that's been taken apart within the 1st two weeks.
I didn't pay that kind of money for a laptop that's need to be repaired since the day I bought
One guy there on saturday said this happens once in thousand laptops. So if that happens, if you guys know that happens, why cant you replace mine?
For the money that I paid, do I even deserved to get a single glitch on my laptop? Cuz I would have bought a laptop with same specifications for less than a hundred thousand.

Poor after sale service
About 2 yrs back, brought 32LM3410 model LG TV from Abans show room of Kandy City Center.. It was broken 3 week backs.
I have taken it to Aban service center, Kandy on 2/05/2014. They told me that they would inform the fault of TV within 5 days.
However they did not inform me, therefore took phone call ask the fault of TV. They told me that they could nor repair
. It as TV panels can not be replaced, If replace cost would be more than the value of new TV and suggested to buy new TV with 10% discount. Then I call the call center of Abans company in Colombo and told this problem.
They contacted me and told that it could be repaired with replacement of new part (not a problem of panel) and promise to repair it within one week.
How ever I have not got TV yet.
My questions are
1, Why Abans company have not informed that they could not replace panels of this expensive TV on selling TVs and cheat customers.
2. Who did cheat me regarding fault of TV, whether technician of service center or person of call center.
3. Do LG TV are so bad to break in 2yrs.

I have an Electrolux washing machine, which though 10 years old has been working fine. Last year had a problem with it and between Negombo and Colombo, the repair and delivery took more than 6 weeks. This year again, January there was some issue and due to internal coordination hassles in the Abans Service centre, its taking me umpteen phone calls to try and get a quotation and information on status of machne.
The customer care can hardly answer my queries and show unprofessional attitude.
Bought a new a/c remote today at abans showroom wallawatte. Highly grateful for their impeccable service and the product is also working well and worth for the prize.
we got faulty in fully automatic washing machine which is in the warranty period. we keep requesting for repair service more than 2 weeks, still no one visited to check what is the fault. now it's rainy season we need washing machine to get dry the cloths. i am disappointed with abans customer service.
I bought a Hisens T V set in 2020 it is under warrenty till December 2023.
June 24th hand over to Abans Mawanella Showroom for repair with a complaint of blank screen. It has taken almost one month but till now they have not repair. I am really dissapointed the after sales service as promised . Please take your prompt action to fix it ASAP.

We purchased a hot water shower and barely used it and it stopped working. Have been calling their service center and each time a new excuse. I wish we had checked the reviews and complaints before buying it. All this [censored] marketing but when a product malfunctions they can’t fix it. Should’ve purchased from damro or singer.
