On November 10th’23 I noted a $96.00 charge on My Ally Credit Card. I immediately investigated and found that I had in fact accepted a seven day “trial offer” from a company called PDF Filler. I had called to cancel before the seven days was up BUT I CALLED the wrong company. This is obviously MY fault, at least initially. A phone call to PDF Filler resulted in a refund being initiated by them. PDF Filler has provided me with THREE documents: First, an email stating a refund has been done; Second a copy of the Transaction ID used to transmit information which plainly states “VOIDED”; Third an online chat I had with PDF Filler was downloaded and sent also with the other two uploaded as a dispute on the Ally website. I had recently paid my balance and regardless that some may view my complaint as petty I don’t. I was proud of paying off nearly $1000.00 but the amount available was reduced to $904.00 and prevented me from a purchase over that amount if I was so inclined. I must have made 6 to 8 p[hone calls to Ally and each time I heard a different reason and/or excuse. As an example, on Saturday the 18th ’23 I was told the pending charge of $96.00 would simply “fall off” the next day, it didn’t’! Calling today November 20th ’23 I was told by a different person that She did not know why I was told that…..same ol’bu**[censored]! I do not deal with clowns, I have closed my account with them today. I accept paying interest for charges, but do not get “interest” shown to me, the customer, helping them to fill their coffers. DON’T USE ALLY!
Claimed loss: None
Desired outcome: Public awareness
Seems like they only care about $$ and what one customer service person can, or is willing to do. Lousy representatives, multiple calls...Lame, lame, lame.
