Fraudulent use of credit card.
I signed up for the subscription in January 2022 and immediately canceled it. However, AMC has opted to continue charging my credit card monthly since this time. I will continue to dispute the charges monthly or should I submit a fraudulent submission for AMC? I have never used your service and continue to ponder how you are able to charge me for a service not rendered and a service I canceled. Please help me understand why you don't understand when a customer says cancel, you need to cancel.
Desired outcome: CANCEL THE MEMBERSHIP THAT WAS ASKED TO BE CANCELLED JANUARY 2022. STOP USING CREDIT CARD FRAUDULENTLY.
The poor customer service / nasty bathrooms
I’m a resident of the Bronx and I have been going to your Bay Plaza theater for many years. Recently, I have noticed a significant difference in your customer service and the conditions of your facility. Your management team is very unprofessional and the employees at the concession stand are extremely rude. I know that if this was Manhattan/LI, This would not be acceptable. Please get it together because this is not fair to the residents in the Bronx.🤬
Concession stand, supervisor Kalyan
Greetings!
Very poor customer service received yesterday during our visit to AMC Braintree, MA location at 5pm for movie showing Puss in the boots: The last wish.
I purchased tickets to take my granddaughter who turned 5 years old and had never been to the movies before. It was an exciting time for her.
After being seated at our reserved seats, my granddaughter and I made our way back out to the concession stand to purchase butter popcorn. To our disappointment, the popcorn machine was broken, along with the other upstairs machine.
We requested to have honored the same purchase price of the butter popcorn for the cheddar popcorn and were rudely told “no”. I attempted to ask again since it was not the customers fault both machines in the theater were broken, which in my opinion was the least that could be done. The supervisor who tended to us, Kaylan, was bothered that we interrupted her conversation with another agent and that I was insisting. She also rolled her eyes as I asked.
As a matter of fact, when I first arrived to the concession stand she didn’t bother to acknowle me because she was busy with her conversation and directed me to walk down to the other register for someone else to assist me. I walked over and a second male agent told me someone else would assist me, as he asked a young lady to assist me. She seemed frustrated that the people at the first register (supervisor Kaylan and another agent) didn’t initially assist me, as she looked over to them to see what they were doing. I was finally helped after haven spoken to three people. I would like to add, there was no one else in line waiting.
After all of the frustration and negative experience, I was going to purchase the cheddar popcorn at the full price, but because the supervisor was rude, unprofessional and had no compassion, instead, I walked away not wanting to give additional business to AMC.
Imagine the disappointment to my granddaughter on her first experience on her birthday. Not cool!
I’m hoping you will speak to such employees in order to give customers a good experience and offer some type of compensation for our troubles.
Desired outcome: Non monetary compensation for our troubles.
Filth in bathrooms
We were at the movies on January 6 and the bathrooms were utterly disgusting! No paper products, stopped up toilets. Sinks dirty. Smelled awful. It Looked like no one ever cleans or stocks them those bathrooms .I Asked my Husband he said Mens room was filthy too. This situation made Us very uncomfortable about the cleanliness of theatre and concessions! If they are not cleaning one they are just not cleaning anything.
Desired outcome: Clean up this facility!! It’s a health hazard!
Theater safety
Visited your Middletown theater on Friday to see the 4:10 showing of Black Panther. As I was entering the concession line my right foot got caught up in a display sign (which should not have been there) and I stumbled catching myself from falling with my cane. I presently use a cane because I recently had my right hip replaced. I reported to the manager who was there at the time. Of course, she removed the sign immediately and I did not think anything of it after that. However, Saturday when I woke up I was in pain and my knee was swollen. Sunday I am experiencing the same symptoms. I have taken photos of my swollen right knee/leg/foot. I have tried to call the Middletown theater all day today and no one is answering the telephone. Who do I contact to file an incident/injury report. Thank you.
Desired outcome: To file an incident/injury report with the theater.
Employee misconduct
Employees of AMC Woodlands 20 located in Oldsmar Florida have no regard for the instructed policies of AMC. A crew lead by the name Emma was in a romantic relationship with a manager named Paul for months. This relationship went against AMC policy and multiple managers were aware, including the general manager. Paul went on to have another relationship with a manager at the same location. Emma makes no effort to maintain a positive relationship with her crew memebers and is a hated employee by many due to her destructive impulses. She frequently miss uses her position in box office to reserve herself seats as well as taking food from the stock room.
Desired outcome: I would like to see the proper consequences taken up for said employees.
Filthy theatre
We attended the AMC at Town Center on 12/28 for a 3:45 showing of Avatar. The concession area had popcorn on the floor and the soda area was so sticky your feet stuck to the floor. One of our “assigned” seats was sticky with spilled soda; Seat F7. The about half of the markers were gone, and my seat, F8 worked intermittently.
After the movie, I was walking to the bathroom and noticed the floor looked like it had not been vacuumed in weeks. The bathroom stall had cobwebs in the corner.
That theater has regally gone down hill. All the staff was kind and helpful, I just don’t think they have enough help.
Desired outcome: I won’t be returning there until the place is cleaned up!
Family went to see Avatar on Christmas day. Video portion of movie was not good.
On December 25th, 2022, my family of four went to the 4:45 showing of Avatar - the way of water on Afton Court in the Harbison community in Columbia SC. The movie was supposed to be the 3D version. We received our glasses. The 3D component was not working properly as evidenced by people around me. The background was blurry (glasses helped a little), the foreground was visible, but we never saw things "jump out of the screen" like we are used to at a 3D movie. I got up and complained twice, as did others, but nothing changed during the 3 hour movie. We were very disappointed. Please make this right, as we have never had a bad experience at this theater before.
Desired outcome: I would like a refund or some sort of voucher for another movie for the four of us. Note: 3D tickets are more than regular version tickets.

Purchased 5 tickets for 12/23/22 11am showing Grove City OH location
My kids and I arrived at the theater at 10:45am and the doors were locked. I called the theater multiple times and no one answered. I also called the customer service line.. again, no one answered. I would like a refund please.
Thank you
Desired outcome: Please refund
Gift card
I received a gift card for my birthday, when I finally decided to use it I tried both the app and the website but I got the message “an error has occurred”. I tried now and it says “the numbers entered are not recognized”. I tried to call customer service as recommended in the website but apparently they don’t take phone calls anymore. I emailed over a week ago and I never got a response, I tried reaching out to their help profile on twitter and again no help. It is very frustrating having to reach out so many times in order to use a simple gift card. By the time this is fixed the movie that I want to watch won’t even be available anymore..
Desired outcome: Refund or replacement
Service
My family and I purchased four tickets and went to AMC Chicago Ridge 6 on 11/24 at 7 pm to see Wakanda Forever.
We purchased a large popcorn and two large drinks with our earned $5 rewards (totaling $25). At 8pm, we went to get refills for our soda and popcorn but was told the stations were closed and they were roped off. This movie was two hours and 41 minutes.
My AMC stubs # is [protected] and my phone number is [protected].
Desired outcome: Please refund and I’d appreciate a response and an apology.
Experience at Tysons 16 Mclean VA at 6:40 showing of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 11/25/22
My teenaged kids attended this movie. There were racial slurs being yelled around them, toddlers running up and down the isle and a teenager behind them that talked the entire time! HIDEOUS experience. If I would have been there, you would have heard from me in real time. I will be going to the theatre tomorrow in person. This is inexcusable and I will be obtaining a refund for our four tickets. I am an AMC member. In the old days there were theatre employees who walked into the theaters and ensured that customers were following the rules and having the experience they paid for. I expect a timely response.
Desired outcome: Full refund of four adult tickets
Toddlers and babies disrupting a movie
On 11/21 I went to see Wakanda Forever at your AMC Chula Vista 10 location, 2:30 show.
Throughout the whole movie we were disrupted by a talking toddler sitting next to us. Three rows back I could also hear a baby.
Not only did the toddler talk throughout the movie, but the adults played videos on the phone in attempt to keep the child quiet. Since they were sitting next to me, I could see the light of the phone out of the corner of my eye, further disrupting the enjoyment of the movie.
I don't understand how AMC allows children into a movie that is clearly not a children's movie. As it is, people don't much go to the movies. With disturbances like these, I am less likely to go.
When I reported this to the manager, her solution was to move me to other seats. I am not the one disrupting the show. Why should I have to move to seats other than the ones I paid for? I was offered to come again to another show. Meanwhile, I spent $7+ for a soda and I wasted an hour of my time by leaving. The ones that should have been asked to leave were the disruptive party. The situation was mishandled because the manager did not have the nerve to address the problem.
It should be AMC policy to not allow children that are clearly not interested in such a movie into the theatre in the first place.
I was not the only one to hush the child. I am sure I was the only one to speak up.
Had I been to a show made for children, I would understand. However, I don't understand how an adult brings a child to a show such as this in an effort to avoid paying for a sitter, and how AMC allows it.
The solution is not to only comp me tickets, but to change your policy.
Should you need additional information you may call me at [protected] or via email at [protected]@HOTMAIL.COM
Desired outcome: Change in policy and full refund for all my expenses that afternoon
Sexual harassment
This is happening in Murfreesboro, TN. Multiple instances of sexual harassment. One, a male manager told a team member that he looked sexy in his uniform, and nothing has been done. Another, a female employee is complaining about repeated sexual harassment and advances, and when she reported it to the manager, the manager said in a text (and I quote) "corporate doesnt mandate us to care about sexual harassment complaints." They also continued to schedule her with her harasser, making her grow continuously uncomfortable until she finally gave her notice. I checked and apparently AMC has a no discrimination policy, but for sexual harassment, they have a hotline. Literally, thats it. And apparently nothing happens. You can just vent - thats as far as it goes.
Desired outcome: Change your policy on sexual harassment and support your victims. Address the manager at this location specifically.
Refund and inability reaching AMC using "amctheatres,com/contact"
This complaint concerns AMC's cancellation of the 11/05/2022 performance of the opera La Traviata at the AMC River East, Illinois St. in Chicago.
I received a Ticket Refund Confirmation #[protected] dated 11/05/2022 in the amount of $57.10 which was correct. It covered Order No. [protected].
But the credit issued to my American Express card by your cashier #2541 was in the amount of $51.52. This was an error of $5.58. Please issue an additional credit of $5.58 to my American Express Account. As of today (11/17/2022 I have seen no credits for anything to my credit card.
I have tried to contact AMC at lesst five times and am advised by AOL that they cannot deliver my messages to the listed address (amctheatres,com/contact).
Please take care of this matter because all of it was no fault of mine. It was totally due to AMC's problems and the inexperience of your employee.

Movie theater marquis 16 trumbull ct
I haven't gone to the movie theater in ages but my children are frequent visitors. On 11/12/2022, my wife and I decided to join our children to the movie theater to watch black panther. It was one the worst and painful experiences in our lives. Since the tickets were sold out, my daughter purchased tickets for the front row. I spent the entire 2 hours plus holding my neck up trying to see this big screen which caused me severe neck pain. I am simply asking to send an executive in the movie theater to sit in the front row so they can see for themselves. After experiencing the pain, suffering and misery that I experienced, I would ask someone to take action by removing this entire front row. I know it can be all about revenues but safety is always first specially at AMC headquarters. Please email me if you need further details at [protected]@yahoo.com
Terrible customer service
My wife and I went to amc 16 in Schererville, Indiana around 10:30 a.m. today, Friday, Nov. 11. The young kid behind the ticket counter was very rude and unengaging and seemed really belligerent. He was treating the person in front of us the same way. We were both unhappy but decided at the time to let it go. My wife was still fuming after the movie and I wasn't too happy either. Usually the ticket personnel demonstrate good customer service at this theater. Just very disappointed .
Desired outcome: Would like a response that the young guy was addressed and coached on his behavior(Though I could tell that this was his personality and nothing would change on his side.) I can be reached at [protected]@att.net.
Service
11/11 While trying to watch the Black Panther movie. The door to all of the other theaters is open so you could hear other movies over the movie I paid to watch. I got up from my seat and asked for the manager of the AMC Sunrise 8. A gentleman by the name of Jeff told me he was the manager. I asked him to follow me back to my theater. I asked him what did he hear when the door of the theater was closed. He stated the movie. I opened the door again with the door stop in place and asked what do you hear now. I understand that the door needs to be propped open when cleaning the theater but really when the movie is playing close the doors and remove the door stops. It is really annoying to hear other movies and people in the hallway talking. He closed the door to my theater but did absolutely nothing about the open doors for other theaters. You want people to come back to the theater and pay for movies and concession items but you are not doing your part for us to enjoy the movie.
Desired outcome: Close the doors for all movies once the movie has started to keep the excess carry over noise from another movie.
Rude service, rude customers, unable to get cash refund
Mind control while in the theater for a few weeks. Extreme RF radiation targeting in the theater, and Voice-To Skull radiation in the theater. Gang stalking into whatever film I choose to see mandating refunds for a few weeks now. I requested a cash refund but got two gift cards instead. Give me a cash refund and cut out the nonsense inside. [protected] and [protected] are the gift card numbers. I would stay out of this theater unless you want the xxxx microwaved out of you.
Desired outcome: Just refund the money. Not a gift card.
