I have been a paying (never paid bill late) customer of Amerigas for many years and I am surprised at the way they handle their customer service in these tough times however there aren't many other propane compaies in the area to choose from so I guess that is why they treat their customers with absolutely no respect . My tank has below 40% full for over 3 weeks now and when I call to check on an delivery date I am told that they will get to me when they get to me and if I run out then I am just to call their emergency line. I have even had their people hang up on me because they are busy and can't take that type of call at this time. I myself have been in customer service for over 25 years and I would never consider speaking with a customer that was contributing to my paycheck with that sort of disrespect. Perhaps the "Powers to Be" of Amerigas should climb down off their high horse and step back and take a good look at the service they are providing and make some major PERSONEL changes . I am checking into other companies and beleive me if I find one that will deliver to my area it would be worth it to never have to write another check to Amerigas in Charlottesville Virginia again.

A propane tank is only filled to 80%, so at 40% you have 1/2 a tank. Propane companies try to deliver when tanks are around 20%. Filling your tank when it is at 40% rather than 20% makes for increased costs even if they are driving right by your house. Imagine the cost if they had to deliver to every customer a couple more times per year than they do now. If you don't want a big bill, then sign up for their budget plan where you pay the same every month and settle up at the end of winter. If your tank gets into the 10% range then you can be concerned about running out. How much has your gague gone down in the last 3 weeks? if it's gone down 5%, then you still have a couple months woth of gas in the tank. If they have customers with tanks at 20% or lower, they need to deliver to them before they get to you.

I have been waiting 3 weeks for Amerigas to fill my tank. I can't cook without propane, nor can I heat my trailer. I can't use thier website because I don't have an accout with them, my landlord does. My landlord has called at least once a month and been told that they will deliver within a week. They haven't yet, and I don't know what I will do when I run completely out. Right now, I try not to use anything with propane.

Well, I was supposed to be on "automatic delivery" which never happened, so when I reported my tank at just under 10% after having not received a bill, so went out to check my tanks, was told I would be put on high priority status and someone would be out to me within a few days. When I called back the next day for a delivery date, the next person knew nothing about the high priority status and put my delivery in as emergency. I have had no heat in my house for 3 days with below freezing nights. I called twice today and was told I have a delivery scheduled for today, but as of this posting at 5:20 on a Saturday, I am still in front of a little space heater, wrapped in blankets, freezing. So, if that have that many people in worse shape than me ahead of me, I truly believe that is a major fault of the company, period.

I placed and paid for my order on Feb 13 when I was at 20%. Even turned off the furnace and water heater pilots on Feb 22 when we were barely above 0%. We were put on emergency status because of a suspected leak (small house, furnace and water heater only, 200 gallons in

I live in St. Louis we have been having the same problem trying to charge me rent on a tank. We’ve been with a different gas company for 22 years. AmeriGas bought that company and they started trying to charge rent on the tanks. I never paid rent before I’ve been. I paid the other day on an on the 19th. I paid $971 for 300 gallons of gas. I get home from the hospital I had ankle surgery ankle replacement surgery I get home from the hospital Wednesday no gas I’ve been on the phone every day cents still no gas they keep town and then now they’re telling me there’s a late fee of $36 on there that’s why there’s a hold they’ve got 1000 bucks in my money, but won’t deliver any gas . I’m pretty much at my wits and I don’t know what to do at this point. My name is mike martin I live in St. Louis 1816 pond hill ct nobody get on the phone seems to care at all. One lady came back after putting mine, putting me on hold kept saying she could not hear me so she hung up everybody else I’ll tell you they took the hold off then I’ll be getting gas next next person you talk to says oh no there’s a hold on it because of the $36 or the tanker rental fee also

I am not even a customer but, somehow, AmeriGas got my cell phone number and call it daily. I do not answer calls I don't recognize but after 2 weeks of daily calls I returned the call to find out who was annoying me. This place has absolutely the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with. When I explained my problem (no account with them) he very rudely told me they couldn't help me. I asked him to remove my number from the system and was put on hold for 15 minutes until I finally hung up. Which, I'm sure was his intent. Called back and asked for a manager and was told none were available. Maybe one could return my call the next day, I was told. And, of course, no such thing ever happened. Back to getting daily calls from a company I have no account with. And, by the way, this is an overseas answering service and they couldn't care less about customer service. I would NEVER do business with this company! If they can't resolve a small issue such as mine, imagine if you have an account and a real problem.

Terrible company. They rip you off for the price of their propane. I got a dollar cheaper at nearby competitor.

I have been an Amerigas customer since 2004. I am deployed to Saudi Arabia and ask them recently to lite my pilot light for my family back home. They stated they did not do that type of work anymore. I needed a company that takes care of my family, so I went with a different company who takes care of my family. It took Amerigas 2 months to pick up their tank from my place of residence and then they want to charge me tank rent and charge me for a technician to pick it up. These is how amerigas treats veterans. You cannot even talk to someone local like you used to, all calls go to a call center somewhere is the midwest. Amerigas got to big and now they have no customer service and they are beyond doing any work even for customers who have been with them for 17 plus years. Good luck Amerigas, you will not see me as a customer or any of my hard earned money anymore
