In the first part of February I used Ask-Crew for reasons I cannot remember now. They are an online company. They charged me $1, which I was told was fully refundable. I never did receive a refund. On Feb. 10 I cancelled the subscription that they sent me. On Feb. 17 $49 was taken out of my checking account by this company without my permission. I have contacted them several times, but they have not responded, nor have they given me back my $49. I contacted my bank (People's United) and they are working on my complaint.
There is no phone number listed to call, only an e-mail address.
Desired outcome: I want my money back.
I paid my $1.00 and was told I could cancel anytime. I did not get my problem resolved and want to cancel my membership but can't find where to go to cancel. I am so sorry I trusted this company. I refuse to pay any more money and will turn them into Fraud Claims if they don't cancel my membership.
the same thing just happnned to me
Same thing happened to me. It is not possible to contact AskCrew to unsubscribe, and they have not responded at all to my attempt at electronic communication with them. THIS IS A SCAM!
Same thing happened to me. A $49.00 charge for something I did not order.
SAME FOR ME. I was billed for CAD77.50 for no reason. I have emailed them 4 times since June 11th.
I don't know what to do...Can ANYONE help...PLEASE
We understand your disappointment. But we would like to mention that by signing up for Ask-Crew $1 trial subscription on the payment page, you have agreed to the monthly service membership and have confirmed that you understood that the subscription would be renewed automatically until you cancel it.

The same thing happened to me. . . I do not recall EVEY using this site for anything and certainly never agreed to pay $1 and then a recurring fee. No way to cancel without giving more of your information again. Not sure how they even got my credit card number. There is nothing in my search or email history about signing up for such a service. I have no account logon so how would I cancel?
hello,
my name is darin hughes and I am requesting a full refund of $74.00 back to my account. Your website is unclear about a 7 day trial period I paid a $1.00 fee, I was not satisfied with your service at all. before my 7 day trial peroiod was up I was admitted to the hospital with a bad case of co-vid 19, therefore I was unable to cancel any type of membership you people were charging me for, also do to the enormity of my hospital bills I am unable to pay ask-crew as I am on disability and I need all of my money back to help me pay the outrageous charge the hospital charged methat was just one of the many reasons I am requesting a full refund of $74.00. I also sent a similar message to your billing department and help desk.
Thank you for your understanding in the issue at hand.
Best regards,
Darin Hughes
That still does not change any thing "ASK CREW" are still a pack of low life "THIEVES".
Number for billing is [protected]. I never even got a sign up page. I believe it just went there when I hit something about support. I'm going to call today to cancel. Used once with no help. I'm also going to alert my creditor.
The same thing happened to me. I don’t think I even paid a $1.00 fee. I will have to look. But I see this $49.00+ charge taken out of my PayPal account. I didn’t give these people whom I have never heard of permission to do that. What’s going on and how can they be stopped? I want my money back but some of my emails come back as undeliverable. This is just crazy! I think they’re in the UK. I’m going to investigate further.
I was billed 49.00 on 3 seperate consecutive months and without my authorization, lemandale limited charged my paypal account.
I have tried to contact them but there is never a response or reply. So i just referred the company to the fraud department analyst with my bank. They are currently under investigation.
I would advise paypal users to change their password and order a new bank card as well as go into your paypal and cancel any further auto paents from them.
These people are thieves and getting away with scamming innocent people like me. They should be reported for fraud.
If anyone needs to contact ask crew by phone the phone number is [protected] I just called them and cancelled my membership and less than a minute I received a email confirmation that my membership was cancelled how ever you need to press the prompt for (you need help with your payment) I hope someone will find this useful. Be safe & have a great day!
I don’t want this subscription anymore ..
how do I cancel it
My story is the same. Paid $1. I never signed up for a subscription. Next thing I know they are telling me I have a subscription. I have tried to cancel. Phone # says they will send a text. Never do. Chat never is set up when your question is how do I cancel this subscription which I never knew I had. What is the definition of SCAM?
Yes I'm having the same trouble with this scamming bunch as we speak. I'm a single mom trying to get disability for congestive heart failure and trying to raise my 13yr. Old daughter. They are sorry for what hey do to innocent people every day.
Same here.
I paid 1$ for help which they didn’t provide.
They then signed me to a subscription and I ended paying £60.
Scammers!
@Mary that's the same issue I'm facing right now; such a disappointment, I contacted anyone but they insist in holding people's monay. Yours was still good, mine was 76.80 cent. Repulsive; anyways if I get anything I'll let you know; if you get anything also comment, I'd appreciate. God bless.
These people are thieves! I sent an email no response I didn’t agree to £49 to be removed from my account
Same boat as you people but I had $70 taken out last month and was furious but they did nothing and in the meantime I cancelled their subscription but today they took $118, so I emailed really pissed off and still waiting for a reply. So hard making money on a pension and they just take it out. Will get my bank to look into but doubt anything will happen. Can only but try. So now have too change my card. Mongrels.🤬🤬🤬🤬
I didn’t even realise I had a subscription to be honest and now $107.96 has come from my account this is getting ridiculous. How do I cancel? Or what do I do so no more comes out
They have ripped me off $150 over 2 weeks. Always billing on the weekend when banks are closed.
Stroked me too this is theft but the Banks or the Cops will never touch them.
they stole 68 euros of subscription by adding me to their list of subscribers without permission. I hope they can be reported
I had the same experience as many people here have mentioned but I was able to resolve the issue with Ask Crew. I paid one dollar to ask a question relating to an issue I was having with ebay. I was satisfied with the answers I was given and I was happy to part with a dollar for the service. One week later, 49 USD was subtracted from my bank via PayPal as a monthly fee with Ask Crew. I was surprised to see this as I hadn't used the passcode they sent me to join up and I hadn't created an account with them. I immediately cancelled the automatic billing system on my PayPal account to stop any further fees being paid. I then found this website (Complaints Board) and I saw how this has happened to a quite few people. I then went onto the Ask Crew website and discovered my profile (I didn't need the passcode to access this). I cancelled the monthly subscription that was active on my profile. I tried to contact Ask Crew from an address available in a Google search. The address didn't work so I contacted them through their website. I explained to them how I was happy to pay one dollar to ask my question and receive their service but I didn't require any further answers and had no need for further questions or membership privileges. Ask Crew said they were sorry to see me go and that a full refund would be returned to me within 5 working days. I received the refund two days later. I hope that this explanation of my experience will help anyone else that has had the same kind of issue with Ask Crew. The key points for me were that it is best to contact them through their website and to give a clear and complete account of the issue you are experiencing. This, I believe, will give you the best chance of resolving your issue with Ask Crew. Good luck.
On March 26 or 27 of 2023, I reached out for help from an expert. Although the person was polite, he was no expert and his help was not helpful. When I started the process I was told that I would receive info on the service and the free or $1 offer. This did not happen - instead on 4/04/2023 and 5/08/2023, I was billed $49, twice. I was able to get in touch with Ask-Crew.com billing to cancel my non-order - non-order because I had not received an email promised by the service.
5/10/2023 I canceled the account. 5/11/23 I filed a fraud complaint with my bank. I was advised to ask for a refund, which I did. The rep said that the money would be back in my account in 10 business days, or by 5/25/2023.
I was told to keep the bank in the loop and to let them know if the money is refunded. To date, I have not received any email communication from Ask-Crew.com.
I was in a chat inside my ADT website, and was sent to Ask-Crew.com without notification that it was either not ADT or part of Easy Pay. I did not sign up, and I do not need the service. As a result, you will refund the $74.00, dated 08/29/2023, and we will cancel our ADT contract, as the security company was lax with our personal information.
do not want ask-crew.com refund of $10.00
I have no contract with ask-crew.com but they took $101.76 Canadian from my account. The expanse shows as "RECURRING PYMNT 6SEP2023ASK-CREW.COM NV 72.58X1.[protected]"
Don,t trust these people , they will rob you blind especially " Ask Crew.Com "
You charged me $55.00 I did not receive any service as I was on hold for many minutes and hung up. Please replace the money in my checking acct.
same with me; was told to hold and they never came to the phone; tried twice nobody answered.
i checked my credit card and they charged me $55.00
i got no service and was charged for it.
this must be one of the biggest scams going right now.
i wish i could talk to sombody.
The circumstances to every case are different, but it is easy, as I did, - in the way Ask Crew advertise their service - to fall into a trap believing that the $1 fee is for service advise. I thought that 1 dollar was very low, but just the start for someone to talk to, not realising that I signed up for a automatic monthly $69 subscription. The $1 was only a joining fee. However, on the page where you fill in your bank details it clearly states that $1 is a joining fee for a automatic monthly charge until subscription is cancelled. ( see photo) . I complained to Pay Pal that I was scammed , but they rejected may claim for obvious reasons. In my case I only made one contact for technical advise that did not resolve the issue. I became aware on the same day that I was also charged $69 as having joined a automatic monthly subscription with them. I also e-mailed Ask Crew to cancel subscription and refund $69 and had no reply for 2 days . I then phoned Ask Crew directly and from there on had nothing but friendly staff listen to my circumstances of the case and they promptly cancelled my subscription and issued requested refund. All in all I feel that Ask Crew advertising can be somewhat misleading, but apart from that had a good experience with them. Goes to show that one has to read a contract in every detail before signing up to it
I emailed Ask-Crew yesterday for a refund of the $35 i had not authorized and it was refunded today. After all of the comments about this, I didn't expect even a response, so was surprised to havea refund especially so quickly. Perhaps they are hearing all of the complaints. Thank you Ask-Crew!
