Scam Company
This company will boot your vehicle, then an unidentified person will come out of the shadows and demand $100 to take the boot off. They'll curse at you the whole time and then walk off mumbling obscenities. They will also write the incorrect information on the "immobilization notice" along with not writing their name or having you actually sign it.
Claimed loss: $104
Desired outcome: A refund would be great. Even better would be the company being shut down.
This company is a complete SCAM
This company is a complete SCAM. Their parking lot at the corner of 6th and Nueces is a Fradulent Trap. I parked there to take my daughter for her birthday dinner, we were only gone for 1.5 hours. I tried to pay at the closest automated payment machine, but it didn't take my payment. The signs are not clear at all, i assumed that i did the right thing. When i came out from dinner, they put a boot on my car and demanded $130 or they would tow my car away. I offered to pay a reasonable amount for the 1.5 hours of parking, but they don't want that, they want to SCAM people out of the $130. 1.5 hour of parking at 6:00 PM should NOT cost $130.

This company is operating illegitimately. I pulled in to a parking lot on the corner of ***. I stepped out of my vehicle to look for the parking meters. Gone one minute and my car was booted. they robbed me of 130 dollars for one minute. Furthermore they LIED on their paperwork. They made it seem like I had been away from my car for 5 minutes to legitimize the boot and the charge. I called them letting them know that I had screenshots of my call being one minute from the time the car was booted and they said it was no big deal and hung up on me. They hung up on me MULTIPLE times when I asked for the employees name that had hung up on me. The rest of my calls were sent to voicemail. They are a predatory company that is operating on lies. I have proof of their lies in the paperwork. I will be contacting the attorney general's office to look further into the matter. They should not be in business if they operate based on lies and deception.
Date/ time of booting:9/242022 at 12:32 am Location: *** street parking lot I was visiting Austin,*** for my bachelorette. When we pulled in a man approached us in a working vest with cash in hand and said It will be $20 to park here, so we gave him the $20 cash and he handed us a slip & said keep this on your *** right there & pointed to a parking spot ahead. We parked and went to our destination. To our surprise when we arrived back to our van at the end of the night we had a boot on the drivers side wheel. We called the number on the window ticket & spoke to a *** at 2:19AM & explained the *** said mam you paid a homeless person I asked how were we supposed to know that but he then hung up on me before I could understand if he was sending someone to take the boot off or not. I called him back at 2:21am & he confirmed yes someone is on their way to take care of it. Two men pull up in an unmarked car also wearing work vests & asking for $130 to remove the boot they just said well you didnt pay us. I asked how were we supposed to know it was a scam when he looked just like you guys & acting just like you guys & the one guy literally said to me well mam was he of color?...well mam then you should have known. That is an absolute disgusting response from a company! There are *** saying do not pay cash & the few signs around the lot with a QR code to scan & pay were not in front of every space so where we parked we did not see *** is nothing when you pull in with that QR code sign so when a man in a vest approaches you at the entrance, gives you a slip for your dash board & tells you the exact spot to park in there is absolutely zero warning signs he doesn't work there. The email address on their ticket is also invalid and the phone# is to a cell phone. Is this whole company a scam hiring "homeless"? I only wanted the booting fee taken care of as we were never intentionally trying to break any law.
I parked in the parking lot,pad the parkatx, printed my receipt, placed it on my windshield. I paid for parking until 719 pm on 10/29, when I returned to my vehicle before the expired time a boot was on my vehicle. I called the cell number on the sticker left on my window. I explained to "***" that I paid and my receipt was on the windshield. He said there may have been a glitch in the internet or system and would remove asap, when I returned to my car employee *** was in a confrontational stance and explained in a sarcastic way that I paid for a city parking spot and not a private parking pass. *** said there is a posted sign that says "Do not pay city parking as this is private parking" (this sign does not exist). the *** code sign to pay is on the passenger side when entering the lot and again on the passenger side when exiting the lot. Further the sign is at an angle so you cant see it clearly. I believe this was an intentional placement to get innocent people top fall into the parking trap. I was forced to pay $130 to remove the boot. Further *** was completely unprofessional and had an aggressive manner-speaking over me, raised his voice and tone. refused to listen to me. *** continued to be sarcastic, mumble, and speak under his breath. *** made racist remarks when the transaction was done. *** was difficult and not professional by any means. Rather than try to diffuse the situation he escalated the situation unnecessarily. I was completely uncomfortable with the situation. I called the #*** number listed on the ticket who *** said he would not email the boss but rather tell him/her directly. The email to file a complaint is not valid as it was returned to me. I filed a complaint with Austin 311. this company's practices are intentionally targeting individuals. Another person in my party parked there and was not booted. I believe the employees are watching and booting those they believe they can get $$ from. Please resolve this.
The Austin Parking Company has a Pay Here sign right in front of some of their parking spots
The Austin Parking Company has a Pay Here sign right in front of some of their parking spots. We paid at the meter with the Pay Here sign for parking in the lot managed by the Austin Parking Company. We then received a booting violation from the company and were told that we paid at the wrong meter even though we paid for enough time. We were not allowed to leave with our car without paying for the charges of $130 even though we explained that we did pay but were mislead by the sign. We felt strongly that this is a fraudulent business model and we were scammed because the sign clearly instructed us to pay at the meter in front of our car, and the company immediately gave us a booting violation while we were not away for long, indicating that they were closely monitoring for customers who fall for the trap.
My name is ***, and I have a complaint regarding the private paid lot at 3rd and Colorado. I paid for parking today at 12:01pm, left the receipt on my dash. My parking expired at 1:01pm. I was 40 minutes late. When I returned to my car, there was a boot on it. I called the number on the notice (Austin Parking Company ***). A man answered; his name is "C." That is what he said. I explained that I was late and couldn't afford the $130 fee he was charging for the extra 40 minutes of parking. He hung up on me. Then, a vehicle that was parked in the lot came over. He said he was the one that put the boot on. It became clear that this was a predatory practice and that he sits there and waits for time to expire. I called the man back at the number on the notice. I didn't feel comfortable with the man in his car or the amount of money being demanded. The man answered the phone and was harsh and rude. He said I had to pay or get towed. I understand that I was late but this is extortion. I feel targeted, victimized, and swindled. It is a scam. Please help. Thanks

My name is [Redacted], and I have a complaint about the private lot at 3rd and Colorado
My name is [Redacted], and I have a complaint about the private lot at 3rd and Colorado. I paid for parking today at 12:01pm, left the receipt on my dash. My parking expired at 1:01pm. I was 40 minutes late. When I returned to my car, there was a boot on it. I called the number on the notice (Austin Parking Company [Redacted]). A man answered; he identified himself as 'C.' I explained my lateness and inability to pay the $130 fee for the extra parking time. He hung up on me. Then, someone from the lot approached, claiming he applied the boot. It seemed like a trap, as if he was waiting for timers to run out. I called again, uncomfortable with the situation and the fee. The same man was dismissive and threatened to tow my car. Despite my tardiness, their behavior felt like extortion. I felt preyed upon and cheated. It's a scam. Assistance is needed. Thanks.
Date/time of booting: 9/24/2022 at 12:32 am Location: undisclosed street parking lot during my visit to Austin for a bachelorette
Date/time of booting: 9/24/2022 at 12:32 am Location: an unspecified street parking lot. I was visiting Austin for my bachelorette. When we arrived, a man in a work vest requested $20 for parking, giving us a slip for our dashboard. After parking and returning later, we found a boot on our van's wheel. Calling the number provided, we were informed we'd been scammed by a non-employee. Despite paying the official boot removal fee of $130 to two men who arrived later, their response to our confusion was discriminatory. The lot had signs warning against cash payments and QR codes for legitimate transactions, but they weren't visible from every spot. The company's contact details seemed dubious. We had no intention of violating parking rules and felt deceived by the entire situation.
